I submitted a contact us form and never got a response. I called a week later for advice and was "greeted" by a surly, angry man. I asked questions regarding whether my problem might be a battery or something else and was told basic info - buy a new battery and try it...new batteries are $100+. I am not brain damaged and already knew this. I was looking for a repair shop to do some testing, maybe try a battery before I purchased one, then I would purchase from them or offer something other than what I already knew to see if a battery might actually be the issue before wasting the money. ## Charges too little for repairs! ## I've come here several times over the years, since we have lived over 20 years in Dublin. The last time I came in I had to scold the owner because he was charging two little! I demanded that he take more for the repair. Today I came in here for a fairly unusual type of vacuum bag. Of course he had it! It was only $6 for a set of three bags. This is a fairly small shop--only 900 square feet. But they really make the most of the space. There are vacuums in the front ready for repair and the ones that are done are in the back. It is a very efficient operation, and the owner explained that it's typically 2 or 3 days for a typical repair. The owner is really nice and helpful, and I've had great experience with this business. The last time I came here, I had a vacuum that was acting up. He had it fixed in just a few minutes. He is obviously very knowledgeable about this business. Just remember, if he charges to little, force him to take more money! read more

If you've got a Miele or a Dyson this is the place you want to come for expert help. If you don't have a decent vacuum this is the place you can get one. 100% stay away from this shop. Owner sold me a faulty vacuum that he knew full well was a piece of garbage. I brought it back for repair and specifically asked him to NOT do anything until he called me with the repairs and an estimate of cost. He went ahead an repaired the vacuum and then demanded I recompense him for the work. I said at that cost I would assume not pick the vacuum up and he abruptly and rudely replied,"UP TO YOU!" First of all, they answered their phone on the second ring! I was able to take my Kirby in that day. Owner is very professional and courteous. He guessed the problem, (faulty electrical cord) and quoted an approximate price and date for pickup. (About 5 days). He called the next day saying it was ready if I wanted to pick it up and the price came in at what he quoted. He even changed a ruined part. Complementary! My beloved Bissell Green Machine had a leak and we diagnosed it with a hose leak. They are open for repair during the pandemic. We dropped it off and they ordered the hoses and repaired it within days. In fact the owner apologized that it took a few days to get it repaired during a pandemic... A pandemic! The high level of care and concern was so nice and we would not hesitate to buy or repair a vacuum or shampooer here. Very professional business folks. I have an old SupraQuik Portable Canister Vacuum Which stopped working all of a sudden with no power. That's after 15 years of service. Took it to Dublin Vacuum and they called me the next day after diagnostics, and said there is loose cable which needs to be fixed and it's going to cost me $35. The electric cord and the belt on our old Dyson were giving out, and we didn't want to switch to a new model with a ball instead of straight-moving wheels. Dublin Vacuum to the rescue! The owner fixed the problems for a reasonable price and also applied epoxy to a crack he discovered in the body of the vacuum. I just picked up my vacuum after one week of no phone call from the owner. He claims he wrote my number down wrong. Just like the lack of communication for the cost. He said $84 for the repair and service as I pick it up. I mentioned to him that seems high I thought you said $40. He said you should of asked me and made sure. He finally honored $40 but his Attitude was of one that really didn't care. Even as a owner. I'm a self employed and already communicate options and costs of good. I went in because the base of my vacuum wasn't working. The gentleman at the front just took it and gave it a few shakes and unclogged it! He took it apart to make sure there wasn't anything else wrong, and even tested it out for me to triple check! Everything took less than 5 mins! They are definitely experts here! read more

I love supporting small business so when our Dyson of 7 years stopped it's brush spinning, I went to this shop to order a clutch part. $80 for the part on order (none on hand). Double that to install it. OUCH. Instead I went to amazon and ordered a $26 genuine Dyson clutch part, paid $8 for the belt installation tool, watched a YouTube how-to video, and 30 minutes later our vacuum is working better then it has in 3 years. These guys have to make a living, but that's a huge mark-up. Giving three stars only because it seems like these guys give great customer service. My couple of questions to them weren't enough to tell much about their service. Update: Appreciate the note from Richard the owner. Good Service for sure! Our Dyson vacuum wasn't performing well after five years so we took it to Dick at Dublin Vacuum for servicing. The vacuum was ready sooner than promised and the price was just as he expected. They even removed the scuff marks from my vacuum so it looks good as new. I used the vacuum today and it is as back to its original cleaning power. Best $50 I have spent in a long time! read more

My Vacuum finally broke after about 8 years and i took it to Dick to get it checked out. I knew from the screaming sound when your turned it on that something was wrong with the motor. Dick confirmed my suspisions and after about an hour of getting educated on vacuums and the cost of them i decided to just buy a new one. It's not very often that you need to have a vacuum cleaner repaired... so it's imperative that when you do need to, you take it to the right guy. That being said, I selected Dublin vacuum for my Beam RugMaster repair quest on the bases of decent ratings and proximity. Upon arriving, I simply told the vacuum guru that the brush wasn't turning. The vacuum guru popped open the cover and told me exactly what the problem was--a burnt out motor--and brought out a new one, telling me he could have it in by tomorrow. He quoted me a manageable price, which did not change when I came to pick it up the next day. He showed me the old motor for good faith, and tested the vacuum before handing it back over. He even replaced the burnt out light bulb without me asking. Overall, a very smooth and stress-free experience for such a cumbersome errand. Great success. read more

The owner here is great. In the past, he repaired my vacuum in short order. However today was the day that defined excellent customer service. I called to ask if he worked on Hoover carpet cleaners, as the trigger on the hand held piece on my Max Extract had broken. He said he did and went online and looked up all of the information on the model number and part number. When the website wouldn't let him order it - he gave me the Hoover number. He said it would be easy to swap out the piece, but if I needed help to come in. It's just nice to work with someone who wants to be of service and goes the extra mile. read more

This is a great mom and pop store. The store is nothing fancy, but they get the job done and they are conveniently located right off of the 680 and 580 freeways. My Dyson was serviced and cleaned for under $60, and it took about 3 days. I'll return for future needs. read more

I have a 6 year old Kenmore bagless that wasn't performing well anymore. The suction was decent but the bristles had clogged up and were no longer spinning. Wasn't looking for a new vacuum but just wanted it working again. Took it into Dublin Vacuum and they had it fixed in a few days for what I felt was an appropriate cost for the work done. Bought a wonderful hand vacuum from Dick Green and wow what a great tool! My son was visiting and he immediately aske me, "Mom, where did you get this?" I bought another one for my son and I plan to give these as gifts to clients! Later, I had to take my Oreck Vacuum in for service. Dick Green is such a kind and professional business man! He makes sure that he doesn't over sell you on repairs and he made my old Oreck vacuum run smoothly!
