I have had my mom's grandfather clock since she passed. It hadn't worked for some time before she passed and I really loved it since we gave it to her and my dad 30+ years ago. I couldn't find a repair shop near me in Fremont. I happened to see the shop while I was in Dublin so I stopped and asked if he ever came to Fremont to do repairs. That Saturday he came and got it working in no time. That was about 2 months ago and my heart is so happy every time it chimes. He is what I would call a "clock whisperer". He treated the clock with reverence and I loved watching him work on it. Thank you Ray. read more

When you're the only clock repair shop around, you don't have to be a good and knowledgeable proprietor. Ray is both. Toss in a cordial demeanor with fair prices and, voila, five stars. Thanks! read more

I went in to repair my pendulum clock (battery operated) as it stopped working couple of months back. I tried changing batteries earlier and did not help. The Gentleman in the shop just by looking at it and said that I had put in the wrong battery and said that did not want to charge for nothing. I changed the battery and it started working. What a genuine person, in this world, where people are not that genuine any more. Hats off to that person. read more

I am absolutely thrilled to have my parent's antique clock hanging in my living room--keeping time and chiming on cue, while bringing back many fond and comforting memories. The price for this treasure was very fair and reasonable. Only problem, Ray doesn't have enough time (pun intended) to keep up with his demand. I have 2 clocks on stand by. So with this in mind, I hate to give him the fabulous recommendation he deserves. read more

This guy is the best!!! Brought our pendulum clock in for repair...The shop is full of clocks waiting to be repaired so be prepared for 4-6 week wait but if you have a clock that you love , this is the place to have it restored to new working condition. When our clock was completed, it worked better than when it was working normally. His prices are very reasonable and he doesn't over charge... A great place and highly recommended read more

I often times do no not want to hurt businesses, but I have had two really bad experiences with this clock repair shop, so I wasnt people to take notice. I brought a 400 day anaveraery clock here for repair,. The clock had all the parts needed for repair provided, I did not know until now that this merchant was giving me a story of false understanding. The clock shop installed the new wire that I provided, and then I called this merchant to get a status on where the clock was at. He said the first time he had to oil the spring and let it run come back in three months, second I called a, ND he said in California we had earthquake, so it was not running right, come back in three months, a year later he said he cannot do anymore with the clock and it was running a couple minutes fast, but he said after a year he is done, come pick it up. I gave him my credit card and he said it was declined, that he takes cash. I called Schwab and nothing was wrong with the card, I paid after a year of bull 140 dollars for a merchant that calls himself a clock repair shop. I brought the clock to another repair shop , and they looked the clock o er, no oil on the springs, they laughed at me that an earthquake caused time problem. They keep the clock a day and a half and they repaired the time interval,. 25 dollars is what I paid. Be careful to entrust somebody just because the hang a sign outside. I had two bad experiences with this guy. My words to the merchant be honest read more

I called Dublin clock to have our old Howard Miller grandfather clock repaired, he set up a time, showed up promptly and did his magic. He is professional and friendly and did a great job. I would call on his shop again in a minute, but I really hope not to have this problem again. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, thanks Ray. read more

A wonderful and talented master of his craft! My Dad built a grandfather clock from a kit over 40 years ago. He has since passed away. About five years after he passed, somebody pulled the weights too high, and the clock hasn't worked since - until now. I wanted to fix the clock for my Mom for mother's day, as she has missed the sound of the chimes. Called the Dublin Clock Shop, and he was out to my mother's house within a week, and brought it back to life after 15 years of non-operation. Can't say how much this has meant to our family, to have my Dad's clock back in operation. I highly recommend the Dublin Clock Shop to anybody that needs high quality service at a fair price! read more

I have a Grandmother clock that belonged to my parents. It has not worked properly in years. Ray came to my house and worked on the clock. It worked for almost one day and stopped working. I called Ray and he recommended that I try a few things. Unfortunately, his recommended actions did not work. I called Ray and he happened to have a cancellation. He worked on my clock again. The clock has been working well since his second visit. He was also able to help start a vintage European music box to work again. His rates are extremely reasonable. He is knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend him for repairing any Grandmother or Grandfather clock. Thank you, Ray. read more

I took my 1890's German made Grandmother clock here because it stopped running. Ray took one look and said " this part has loosened up, let's do a good tune up on it and see where it goes from there". He said 2-3 weeks and gave me a VERY reasonable price. I picked my clock up 2 weeks later, took it home and put the works back in the cabinet. I have to tell you, this clock has never sounded better nor kept better time. This man is fantastic when it comes to Clocks Thank You Ray Sincarily Steve A read more

I stopped by the shop yesterday, during my lunch hour, with my clock that needed to get fixed. I was hoping to leave it with him, as I am moving next week and didn't want any damage to happen to it during the move. It was fixed and I picked it up on my way home. The cost was minimal. Love this place!! Cross your fingers on the move! : ) read more
