    Beef brisket dry noodle
    Win L.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love it when I find delicious Asian food that is also dog friendly (two outside tables, no heat lamps)![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This Taiwanese chain has two locations in the Bay Area; menu is casual comfort food, with range of noodle and rice offerings. We tried all 3 different noodle types available; all were fresh and springy! Items also come as a combo option (side dish and drink). We had the braised beef shank noodles, mala garlic noodle soup, beef fried rice and beef brisket dry noodles. We enjoyed all 3 noodles - different flavor profiles! We found the fried rice was fairly salty and wouldn't order that again. Restaurant is located in a strip mall with many food options. It has Strip mall parking - which gets quite full but there is plenty of adjacent parking in nearby lots.

Tried out Duan Chun Zhen, Fremont first time 6/6/24. They were having a private event that evening so we either had to take-out or eat outside. We choosed outdoor dining. I picked the tomato egg noodle soup - 1 tiny Roma tomato and 2 fried eggs over some thin rice noodles. With a side of pickled cucumber and 1 milk tea it was $24 before tax & tip. B. got beef tripe Thad he liked and Mala beef noodle soup -he said the beef was tough. Pricey and food was meh-ok. Probably won't go back.

This place is known for beef noodle soup, my fave, but it's also known to be overpriced I will say that their noodles are delicious and they even have a beef noodle soup option without beef (just like taiwan!), which is my usual order Their noodles here are pretty good and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the spot has great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here for dinner one night and it wasn't busy at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a lot of seating inside and the service is fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the regular beef noodle soup and the tomato beef noodle soup. We got thin noodles in one and thick in the other. Both the noodles are fresh, but I think the thick noodles have a better texture. Both broths are flavorful and the meat is tender. My favorite thing from this place though is the golden kimchi and the wintermelon lemonade. I would buy jars of the kimchi it's so good.

They have a small and focused menu. Their beef noodle is solid and I specially like the tomato one. Their fried rice is also pretty solid. Veggies are just ok. Their side dish portions are quite small. Servers are very friendly although we came on an especially busy day and they were a bit frazzled.

My daughter went here before and liked the place so she brought us here. Service was quick, we also eat fast so we were in and out of the reataurant in less then 45 mins. Each serving is enough for one hungry person, but when we came here, we were not so hungry so we had left overs for all of our orders. Shrimp fried rice is good...similar to the other places we would go to, nothing extraordinary. You can taste real tomatoes in the Tomato Sauce Dry Noodles. I like how thick the sauce is and how it holds in the noodle, you can savor the tomato flavor in every bite and chew. Beef Noodle has a herbal flavor and is not salty. The beef shank and tendon were tender. They give you a choice on what type of noodle you would like them to use. We used the handmade flat noodle for both our orders. It was silky and chewy. The texture was really good. Giving 4 stars because, although I like ithe beef noodle, I do wish it could have a stronger herbal flavor.

Came on Friday around 11:40am for lunch. Since they just opened for the day, it was not busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are a little close to each other like another review says, but the aesthetic of the place is nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu had more options than I anticipated - different kinds of beef noodles (beef shank, beef slices, and Three Treasure which has tripe shank and tendon), fried rice, and other types of soup noodles as well. You can also add $8 for a combo, which is adding a drink and side dish (normally they're $5 each). Drinks - they have milk tea (was ok, tasted like roasted oolong milk tea), black tea... etc. No boba. I got the Three Treasure beef noodle and combo, while my husband got the Beef Noodle Soup, no spicy. The dishes came out in less than 5 minutes. The cucumber side dish is alright, nothing too fancy, and husband's noodle soup was also just ok. He liked the broth, just a little too oily. As for mine, I enjoyed the spice level and flat noodles, but was a little sad that there were only 2 slices of tripe, 1 tendon, and 1 beef. For $18 a bowl, I would've expected more meat in it. Will keep this place in mind to try again one day, but not that impressed.

The noodles taste fresh. The pork chops are decent. The shrimp fried rice was alright. The bao's were meh. The teas were good. Service was good.

Located in a plaza with lots of food options, so plenty of parking available (although it does fill up). We went during a week night, not much of a wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was warm with a strong smell of noodles and soup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered: - D6. Mala garlic beef shank noodle soup with tendon, flat noodles The description had two chilly peppers so it's on the spicy side. The broth was delicious with a strong beef flavor! The beef was tender and came apart easily. - D12. Beef noodle shank, tripe, tendon with handmade noodles The handmade noodles were thicker than I'm used to but they were fun to eat. The veggies absorbed the broth flavor well. Generous amount of meat but wish there was more tripe. Overall, a good noodle spot for a cold day. The broth and noodles tasted similar compared to other Chinese noodle places I've had. But still a good choice for Chinese noodles!

Went there to meet my friend for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Fortunately, we arrived before 1:30 pm because it got more crowded. My friend and I ordered a lot to try, including their beverages. The manager was welcoming and offered us a new promo of adding cheese or fried dough as a topping for a dollar extra. Unfortunately, they sold out of the fried dough. Then we asked for pan-fried dumplings, but it was sold out too. Therefore we ordered: Braised beef shank noodle soup w/ cheese - the noodles were good and flavorful with a slice of melted Kraft cheese. I wish they used mozzarella cheese like the one from KBBQ instead Tomato beef shank noodle soup w/ cheese - that one was okay. Prefer they added more beef than the noodles Deep Fried Pork Chop - it was alright Dumplings w/ chili oil - just regular boiled dumplings in chili oil; mildly spicy Tomato sauce dry noodles - my friend liked this one so it's better than the noodle soup version Golden kimchi - it's sweet and tangy preserved cabbage Century Egg with Tofu and Cheese - this one was good even without the extra cheese topping Plum juice- it was a little sour with a hint of bitterness Winter Melon Lemonade - sweet and tasty [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, it was a pleasant experience inside a nice clean restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Expect to be busy on weekends and afternoons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

first time here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]place is not so big but great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] staffs are nice and their services are ok. order two kind of foods: 1. braised beef shank, tripe, and tendon noodle soup: love it and very recommended!!! the broth is so rich and noodle is chewy even though it is thick. the beef , tripe, and tendon are so tender 2. beef brisket dry noodles: it is also good but since i love soup, i will recommend the noodle soup more instead of dry one if you are noodle lover, you must try this noodles. prices are average...

I've stopped by Duan Chun Zhen Noodle House a few times already and only order one thing: their pork chop fried rice! It's so good and authentic to what you'd find in streets or night markets in Taiwan. This quick and easy meal is full of flavor and made with quality ingredients. The pork chops have a slight sweet taste to it that matches perfectly with the fragrant egg and scallion fried rice. I like to add some chili oil to it to really enhance the flavor and take it to the next level. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They're always pretty busy and popular, even on the weekdays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I stop by again next time, I want to try out their beef noodle soup and some of their traditional Taiwanese side dishes.

This is my second visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is excellent, featuring an accessible parking space and a clean atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My first visit was on a weekend, so it was much more crowded. However, it was pleasant during lunchtime on a weekday, with fewer people and quick service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered their famous tendon soup with handmade noodles and requested a bit of mala, which they accommodated. The portion size is good for one person; for men, it might be slightly smaller than anticipated. This is a place I would return to when I'm in the mood for Taiwanese cuisine.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. The tasty dishes came at a good value, and the service was super friendly too!

There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.

I actually have one of Ox 9's other locations bookmarked but when I found out there was a branch in Fremont, I detoured to try them out. I came on a weekend for early lunch, and the restaurant was quite empty and spacious. There is a window that allows you to see where the sausage (noodles) get made (pulled). Located in a strip mall, there is ample parking. Two friendly women told me to sit wherever and order via QR code. I deliberated for a hilariously long time over the width of my noodles but ultimately decided on the beef and pickled veggie noodle soup with the thin flat noodles, as well as an order of the lamb skewers. The food came out reasonably fast, given that the noodles are hand-pulled, and the portions were HUGE. The lamb skewers were highly rated online and I can see why. They are perfectly spiced and so flavorful, without being so coated that the texture changes, and they have the PERFECT fat to lean ratio so they were unbelievably succulent, but not cloying. An order is 3 decent-sized skewers and I absolutely housed those. Next I was served a huge bowl of steaming, fresh noodles. The small flat noodle was the perfect size for me, as they were already quite wide. I was not looking to chew through literal dough sheets so I am glad I didn't opt for any wider noodle size. The texture of the noodles was sublime, so QQ so springy, you can really tell that they are hand-pulled. The slight imperfections and difference in thickness between noodles gave each bite a unique chew that was so addicting. I wish the physical dimensions of the bowl were a bit bigger because the noodles were a bit tangled and clumpy and I would have liked a bit more room to mix and spread them out. The beef noodle soup broth was just ok, I think the flavor could have been a bit deeper and stronger, but I could appreciate a savory beefy flavor. The pairing of pickled vegetables and tender beef is a classic though, and I do appreciate the clean, soothing taste. There is chili oil, soy sauce, and vinegar at every table so I added a bit more salt and spice to mine. Portions were HUGE and I was already getting full from the lamb skewers, so I took a good amount home. I packed the noodles and soup separately, and the superior gluten formation of fresh noodles held up to a day in the fridge, and were still quite tasty when reheated on stovetop. I loved this place and would absolutely return to try the other noodle dishes and noodle dimensions, as well as get more of their fabulous skewers.

My partner was especially excited to try the fried rice. He put some on his plate and ate about half of it before I asked to try some. I immediately became concerned and looked it up, then smelled the rice and noticed a very sour, unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, my partner ended up feeling sick afterward, which made the experience even more concerning. The XLB was still good, and I did enjoy that. However, the spicy wontons were disappointing. The wonton wrappers seemed to have absorbed a lot of the oil from the spicy sauce, making them taste very starchy, heavy, and oily rather than flavorful. It's disappointing because I really enjoyed my first visit and was looking forward to becoming a returning customer. I am no OG attendee but...I personally thought their dumplings were AMAZING! I was craving xiao long baos so bad. Their XLB was the best I've had in the bay--when I bit into the skin, it was a mouthful of delicious broth. Many other XLB spots could barely produce as much broth as Bing's. The skin was also perfectly QQ. We also ordered their classic pork and cabbage dumplings. Wow. So flavorful and clean. They don't skimp on the meat portions here, that's for sure. Lastly, we got their braised beef noodle soup. Noodles were consistent and QQ, though the broth was a little bland. Albeit, this is a dumpling spot after all! Service was great--food came out super fast and water was always refilled. Perhaps the establishment has taken in the feedback already bc tbh I am not seeing what the negative reviews were talking about hahaha! Perfect mom and pop vibes all around! I WILL BE COMING BACK

It's good to revisit them again, though it sounds like they are under new management from when I first came here. New & modern tables and flooring. The restaurant is still surrounded by windows so on sunny days you can enjoy the natural light but they do have pull down shades to provide shade from it as well. Braised Beef Noodle Soup - tender medium-sized noodles to easily slurp up. The braised beef was stewed well and little bits of tendon and crunchy flank. Pork Shrimp Won Ton Soup - We ended up getting served WT Noodle Soup, which my wife did not want. After flagging down our server we explained that we marked down Won Ton Soup with no noodles. Luckily, they verified with the menu we had marked up. They quickly corrected the order. That shows great customer service. The service was friendly, courteous, and attentive. I'll be back. It's a pretty large sized restaurant, and even though there were plenty of people eating, there were plenty of seats. Standard kind of menu where you could get soups or noodles. They did have a good selection of vegetarian options as well. I ordered the chow fun combination which had shrimp. chicken, and pork, along with vegetables. It came out very quickly but everything tasted fresh and not overcooked. My companion ordered the tofu curry which he said was very fresh. This is a good place to grab a quick meal. Nothing fancy!

Our 3rd time ordering: #8 Mi Trieu Chau egg noodle soup and #29 fried daikon cake. The egg noodle - soft and soggy! It should be chewy and crunchy. The soup is bland, has the boiled watery taste and smell of the noodle. It's like the noodles were not rinsed properly. The daikon cake does not have daikons. After the 3rd time I finally pointed this out to the server, he checked with the lady owner and she said that it's additional add on. Overall: The service - fast and workers here are sweet (5 stars), The food - bland and inconsistent, I'd like my daikons since the menu and receipt show daikons! (Zero star)
