    Beef brisket dry noodle

I love it when I find delicious Asian food that is also dog friendly (two outside tables, no heat lamps)! This Taiwanese chain has two locations in the Bay Area; menu is casual comfort food, with range of noodle and rice offerings. We tried all 3 different noodle types available; all were fresh and springy! Items also come as a combo option (side dish and drink). We had the braised beef shank noodles, mala garlic noodle soup, beef fried rice and beef brisket dry noodles. We enjoyed all 3 noodles - different flavor profiles! We found the fried rice was fairly salty and wouldn't order that again. Restaurant is located in a strip mall with many food options. It has Strip mall parking - which gets quite full but there is plenty of adjacent parking in nearby lots.

This place is known for beef noodle soup, my fave, but it's also known to be overpriced I will say that their noodles are delicious and they even have a beef noodle soup option without beef (just like taiwan!), which is my usual order Their noodles here are pretty good and the spot has great ambiance.

Tried out Duan Chun Zhen, Fremont first time 6/6/24. They were having a private event that evening so we either had to take-out or eat outside. We choosed outdoor dining. I picked the tomato egg noodle soup - 1 tiny Roma tomato and 2 fried eggs over some thin rice noodles. With a side of pickled cucumber and 1 milk tea it was $24 before tax & tip. B. got beef tripe Thad he liked and Mala beef noodle soup -he said the beef was tough. Pricey and food was meh-ok. Probably won't go back.

Came here for dinner one night and it wasn't busy at all. There's a lot of seating inside and the service is fast. We got the regular beef noodle soup and the tomato beef noodle soup. We got thin noodles in one and thick in the other. Both the noodles are fresh, but I think the thick noodles have a better texture. Both broths are flavorful and the meat is tender. My favorite thing from this place though is the golden kimchi and the wintermelon lemonade. I would buy jars of the kimchi it's so good.

The noodles taste fresh. The pork chops are decent. The shrimp fried rice was alright. The bao's were meh. The teas were good. Service was good.

My daughter went here before and liked the place so she brought us here. Service was quick, we also eat fast so we were in and out of the reataurant in less then 45 mins. Each serving is enough for one hungry person, but when we came here, we were not so hungry so we had left overs for all of our orders. Shrimp fried rice is good...similar to the other places we would go to, nothing extraordinary. You can taste real tomatoes in the Tomato Sauce Dry Noodles. I like how thick the sauce is and how it holds in the noodle, you can savor the tomato flavor in every bite and chew. Beef Noodle has a herbal flavor and is not salty. The beef shank and tendon were tender. They give you a choice on what type of noodle you would like them to use. We used the handmade flat noodle for both our orders. It was silky and chewy. The texture was really good. Giving 4 stars because, although I like ithe beef noodle, I do wish it could have a stronger herbal flavor.

Came on Friday around 11:40am for lunch. Since they just opened for the day, it was not busy. The tables are a little close to each other like another review says, but the aesthetic of the place is nice and clean. The menu had more options than I anticipated - different kinds of beef noodles (beef shank, beef slices, and Three Treasure which has tripe shank and tendon), fried rice, and other types of soup noodles as well. You can also add $8 for a combo, which is adding a drink and side dish (normally they're $5 each). Drinks - they have milk tea (was ok, tasted like roasted oolong milk tea), black tea... etc. No boba. I got the Three Treasure beef noodle and combo, while my husband got the Beef Noodle Soup, no spicy. The dishes came out in less than 5 minutes. The cucumber side dish is alright, nothing too fancy, and husband's noodle soup was also just ok. He liked the broth, just a little too oily. As for mine, I enjoyed the spice level and flat noodles, but was a little sad that there were only 2 slices of tripe, 1 tendon, and 1 beef. For $18 a bowl, I would've expected more meat in it. Will keep this place in mind to try again one day, but not that impressed.

They have a small and focused menu. Their beef noodle is solid and I specially like the tomato one. Their fried rice is also pretty solid. Veggies are just ok. Their side dish portions are quite small. Servers are very friendly although we came on an especially busy day and they were a bit frazzled.

first time here. place is not so big but great ambiance. staffs are nice and their services are ok. order two kind of foods: 1. braised beef shank, tripe, and tendon noodle soup: love it and very recommended!!! the broth is so rich and noodle is chewy even though it is thick. the beef , tripe, and tendon are so tender 2. beef brisket dry noodles: it is also good but since i love soup, i will recommend the noodle soup more instead of dry one if you are noodle lover, you must try this noodles. prices are average...

Located in a plaza with lots of food options, so plenty of parking available (although it does fill up). We went during a week night, not much of a wait. The place was warm with a strong smell of noodles and soup. We ordered: - D6. Mala garlic beef shank noodle soup with tendon, flat noodles The description had two chilly peppers so it's on the spicy side. The broth was delicious with a strong beef flavor! The beef was tender and came apart easily. - D12. Beef noodle shank, tripe, tendon with handmade noodles The handmade noodles were thicker than I'm used to but they were fun to eat. The veggies absorbed the broth flavor well. Generous amount of meat but wish there was more tripe. Overall, a good noodle spot for a cold day. The broth and noodles tasted similar compared to other Chinese noodle places I've had. But still a good choice for Chinese noodles!

This is my second visit. The location is excellent, featuring an accessible parking space and a clean atmosphere! My first visit was on a weekend, so it was much more crowded. However, it was pleasant during lunchtime on a weekday, with fewer people and quick service. I ordered their famous tendon soup with handmade noodles and requested a bit of mala, which they accommodated. The portion size is good for one person; for men, it might be slightly smaller than anticipated. This is a place I would return to when I'm in the mood for Taiwanese cuisine.

Today was our first time tried Duan's Kitchen. We ordered XLB, Braised beef trio noodle, Tomato beef shank noodle, deep fried pork chop and Braised dish platter. The pork chop was ok, tasted same as other taiwanese pork chop but smaller. The noodles soup and beef shanks and beef tendons were very tender. XLB was ok, didn't have much juice inside, and the braised dish platter didn't really stand out. For sure we will go back for their noodles.

Went there to meet my friend for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Fortunately, we arrived before 1:30 pm because it got more crowded. My friend and I ordered a lot to try, including their beverages. The manager was welcoming and offered us a new promo of adding cheese or fried dough as a topping for a dollar extra. Unfortunately, they sold out of the fried dough. Then we asked for pan-fried dumplings, but it was sold out too. Therefore we ordered: Braised beef shank noodle soup w/ cheese - the noodles were good and flavorful with a slice of melted Kraft cheese. I wish they used mozzarella cheese like the one from KBBQ instead Tomato beef shank noodle soup w/ cheese - that one was okay. Prefer they added more beef than the noodles Deep Fried Pork Chop - it was alright Dumplings w/ chili oil - just regular boiled dumplings in chili oil; mildly spicy Tomato sauce dry noodles - my friend liked this one so it's better than the noodle soup version Golden kimchi - it's sweet and tangy preserved cabbage Century Egg with Tofu and Cheese - this one was good even without the extra cheese topping Plum juice- it was a little sour with a hint of bitterness Winter Melon Lemonade - sweet and tasty Overall, it was a pleasant experience inside a nice clean restaurant. Expect to be busy on weekends and afternoons.

I ordered a Lanzhou Beef noodle soup and Chili Oil noodle. The broth in the Lanzhou noodle was very savory and perfectly seasoned. They also respected my comment for mild spicy, and it was one of the only times I drank almost all the soup since I did not taste artificial powders or too much white pepper. The Chili Oil noodle was also ordered with mild spice, and the noodles were so chewy and perfect, I can't wait to come back here already! We just wished the chili oil noodle had more meats, since there were like only a 2 or 3 slices of beef. Otherwise, portion sizes were also big for the price point, and the quality was beyond my expectations. Since it was our first time here, we were a little cautious and just ordered what we needed. The hot and sour dry noodles came with their signature 5-grain noodles, shredded cucumber, half an egg, cilantro and peanuts. The seasoning was sweet and sour with a kick. Honestly it tastes like a kind of instant Korean cold noodles I always eat in summer. The takoyaki of octopus balls are a type of Japanese snack I think, and it is very popular in the Asian countries as night market food. I actually had never tried it so I really could not compare. They are deep fried balls of what tasted like mashed potatoes wrapped Octopus tentacles . Topped with shaved bonitos. Tasked okay... The hot and sour sauerkraut noodles with snakehead fish was really good... if you like Chinese pickled cabbage. The soup base was not red at all so it gives a false sense that it was not spicy. It actually had a nice kick, but not the chilly hot kick, but the green peppercorn numbing sense of burn. The soup was very flavorful and the fish slices were good. I don't know what is snakehead fish but it tasted like flounder but firmer. There were pieces of both regular tofu and fried tofu, as well as a couple of quail eggs. The decoration was simple with cute fish lights dangling from the ceiling and display if the noodles from different grains.
