Friendly atmosphere! Very neat and clean store! Much better than the Rite Aid across the street.

The pharmacy manager is terrible. She is rude. She doesn't care about customer, but cares about money.

She lied and said they had no bathroom and I would have to go to pizza place next door. It's illegal in state of New York to deny restroom unless it's actually broken. But it was not. I accepted it. I had feeling she was Lieing so I asked another employee up front. I went and came back to tell her she shouldn't lie about that. She yelled and me and scared me she said excuse me stay here NOW and was trying to get out of her spot with "I'm going to get you eyes" and I ran away to front and bought my stuff then booked it. Again thank you to that man I will continue to come but avoid that pharmacy section from now on. You should check your cameras the way she was about to come at me in front of customers was insane.

The correct address for this store #7881 is: 97-15…read moreMetropolitan Avenue, Forest Hills, NY 11375 (718) 261-1647 This CVS is accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses SBS Q52, SBS Q53 and Q11 Woodhaven Boulevard at Metropolitan Avenue followed by a reasonable distance walk between 69th Road and 69th Avenue. It contains a free parking lot. In the passage of my travels of Queens, NYC I needed a visit to patronized with conscious awareness using my two CVS coupons as I have a loyalty rewards card. With hope and desideratum, this CVS did heed the hope within my mind for printer cartridge of very limited stock readiness and their price is lower than Staples. The economic effects of stagflation in 2020s era is strongly felt financially as the value of the American dollar, unfortunately, has less worth and less purchasing power. I did not wait for an eternity when ringing the customer service bell as my requested item is hanging on anti-theft pegboard hook security device for loss prevention for printer cartridge. This CVS also carried my default favorite chocolate chip cookie brand, Tate's Bake Shop. Customer service is really average as there is only one cashier open and the other cash registers are closed. The cashier had to wait for an eternity for the register to unexpectedly reboot and stated she cannot open the other two registers but moved me walking to the self-service check-out register to ring-up. In my employment history, I had worked in two (2) retail brick and mortar store businesses and there is always one register that is closed because there is no cash intentionally, but during the holidays this register functions designated for credit/debit cards only payment intended to alleviate the long queuing line surrounding the cash wrap for customer efficient movement flow. I did received my sales receipt.

Some of the female staff members come across with an attitude that makes interactions uncomfortable and unnecessarily difficult. Customer service used to be a strong point here, but now it feels like an afterthought. Simple questions or requests are sometimes met with impatience or lack of professionalism, which shouldn't be the case in a customer-facing environment. Corporate really needs to take a closer look at what's happening in these stores and consider implementing better customer service training. A more positive and respectful approach would go a long way in improving the overall experience.

I arrived at the location to hear that they did not print out shipping labels and I had to rewrap the open package myself. I thought it was a little weird they had no way to print a return shipping label (pdf file) and I had to purchase tape and rewrap the open package. I left the store hoping to find a place to print my return shipping package. After walking around the neighborhood, I realized that I needed to use my phone to locate a place to print the label. While walking to the nearest Staples, I realized that the pdf file I wanted to print was printable from any computer. Have you ever heard of a computer that could not print a pdf file? Me neither. I realized I had been lied to and consequently had to walk 13 blocks on a warm summer day to Staples. While on the way to Staples, I ran across a small business that was a Fedex shipping and printing center. I went in and was told to send my pdf file to the email address printed on the piece of paper in front of me. I was then handed a spoll of tape and told to wrap the package. When I had trouble with the package, the employee said he would help. He wrapped the package and printed the label. I left the business happy to have received what I should have gotten from the get go. Walgreens should hire better people. I am shocked at the bad customer service.

We had 6 items to pick-up, all on the same order. After pulling up the order, the employee found one item and then starting conversing with the female employee, clearly personal holiday related conversation. My wife told the employee, the order has these additional items, to which the employee retrieved one more then continued with his personal conversation. Again, reminded there are more items on the order then he retrieved one more item and then promptly ignored us again. This continued until he couldn't find an item then walked away, stating he couldn't find it. He then got dressed with street clothes and walked out the store. This degree of rudeness, flippant and inconsiderate behavior just seems unacceptable for a professional retail operation.

Seriously, this is the pharmacy that a sick person's dreams are made of. I have been chronically…read moreill since birth (37 years...) with a rare autoimmune disease, and I have absolutely HAD IT with all of these chain pharmacies treating me like a number. As one could imagine, I take a ton of different types of medications, and as a result, I have a lot of experience trying to navigate through the healthcare system. In addition, I have a 15-year career working in healthcare administration in NYC, so I have seen every ugly aspect of the industry known to man. As my health has declined with age, it has become increasingly difficult to manage my life, but what makes it worse is constantly having to argue with pharmacies/pharmacists about filling routine prescriptions. If it's not one thing, it's something else: opening late/closing early, losing scripts, overcharging, and just generally making the patient feel like they are a giant inconvenience, simply for trying to get well. This is not the case at The Chemist Shop. I started seeing a new doctor in the fall, and he would only send his prescriptions to this pharmacy. At first, I thought it was kind of annoying to impose that on the patient, especially since The Chemist Shop isn't in my neighborhood (I live on the UES and I am disabled, so I imagined having to trek down to midtown every month for one or two medications, rather than going to the Duane Reade at the corner of my block). But then I learned that they deliver to me, which doesn't make sense (lol), but it definitely changed my tune immediately. Next: everyone I've ever spoken to here is really freaking nice. Like sincerely nice. I hope I have their names right, but Nicolette and Steven have been two pharmacists that I've worked with several times, and unlike any chain I've had the displeasure of dealing with recently, the employees at The Chemist Shop actually care about what the hell they are doing. Over the past few years, I've started to run into a lot of issues at my local Duane Reade, where the pharmacists would implement their own internal rules and guidelines about what THEY felt was best for the patient, regularly overriding the prescriptions written by my actual physicians. it's absolute BS and has frequently caused unecessary barriers to my care. In addition to my underlying condition, I have had multiple unrelated health issues since January, which required a lengthy hospitalization, multiple surgeries, and a grueling recovery process that I'm still chipping away at. I can say with full confidence that if I had been getting my prescriptions sent to Duane Reade that it would have been an absolute nightmare. Instead, I decided to stay with The Chemist Shop and even asked some of my other providers to start sending scrips there instead, and the attention to detail and customer service have been unmatched. Another issue that I face at chain pharmacies is the general lack of interest in thinking outside the box or basic problem-solving. There is almost no patient support, let alone actual patient advocacy. Again, not the case at The Chemist Shop. At DR and CVS, I have had prescriptions immediately rejected when the insurance didn't want to pay or when the computer produced an error. No call from the store, just radio silence (and no filled prescription...). I'm constantly having to hunt down medications, wait on endless holds, and don't even get me started on the lack of accountability. It doesn't even matter anymore if you remember who you spoke with when you were given the wrong information. The person you name is mysteriously always off the day you cite their existence, and as if that's not unprofessional enough, they are also almost always trashed by the clerk standing in front of you. I can't even call it a breakdown in communication, because that implies that there was an existence of communication in the first place. At The Chemist Shop, when an issue arises, they WANT TO FIX IT. They will offer to call your doctor if they have questions; they will look into the price of a medication if your insurance won't cover it; and they realize that the last thing anyone wants is to be sick, so they seem to try to carry the burden wherever they can. IMAGINE THAT. As I'm writing this, I realize how ridiculously over-the-top this review is, but when you've been screwed with for decades by people who are literally employed to HELP OTHER PEOPLE, it's insanely refreshing when you come across a business that understands that a little goes a really long way, especially when you feel like shit. So if you are as disgusted as I am by the direction our healthcare system has gone in and are looking for a reliable place to get your meds, you'd be crazy not to try this place out. I promise - the only thing you'll really have to worry about is focusing on getting better.

I confirmed it. botched the delivery date, so I missed my injection date - zero care, zero sympathy, zero desire to solve the problem. and they held my prescription hostage, wouldn't allow me to transfer the script to another pharmacy who could actually provide the medication.
