Thought this was going to be my dream Jeep that I would have for a long time. I should have known from the beginning when I got it and they kept sending me temp plates in the mail for months. That wasn't a big deal and was finally figured out when I actually talked to someone that knew what to do. Got the jeep in 2023 and was so happy. Looked beautiful and was just what I wanted. First year was great. After that not so great. Back up camera kept needing to be fixed and then the start of the rust and bubbling all over the road armor. I watched it keep getting worse and paint falling off when I washed it. Reached out to them. They tell me to contact Road Armor. I do that and Road Armor tells me for any warranty it has to be the person who purchased the parts. Ok, so I contact DTO. Ohhhhh well that was other "management" and they didn't keep good records and we have no clue who built your Jeep. WOW! Took it to my local professional to see if he could repaint. He didn't want to touch it. I have now been waiting over a month for this company to get back to me with solutions. But nothing but crickets. Do your research people and go elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and the excuses like "other management" "it's from the elements" and "we don't know who built your jeep" and I only heard the word unfortunately 60 times from him. Well, unfortunately....... I asked them what if I tried to get another jeep from you. How much would you give me for this one. They were $8,000 less than the place I took it to here in town. It is sad to say that while I do really like my Custom Jeep... I have had severe issues within the past few months. I have only owned this Jeep for less than five years and it is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. I was very excited when I received my custom Jeep from DTO. My last vehicle was 11/12 years old Nissan Xterra and I saved up to have my dream jeep. I spent a lot of money to ensure it was properly done by DTO Customs (and paid the money to have the vehicle shipped to me). The process seemed seamless...or so I thought. Within the last few months, the starter had to be replaced (which could be understandable due to miles but I am still within my extended warranty). However, I kept going back into the shop repeatedly due to the entire transmission failure, alternator failure, multiple batteries failure (2x main, 2x aux besides original within the jeep), reverse camera failure, grounding circuitry issues, etc. So my Jeep has repeatedly been in and out of the shop for weeks at a time within the last few months (impacting my military occupation), and again, this is within five years of the jeep actually being manufactured as it is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. My Nissan Xterra didn't have this many issues and it was 11/12 years old and 190,000 miles. I am also literally now facing another issue that concerns electrical wiring to a custom part that was installed and recommended by DTO Customs when I purchased the vehicle a few years ago. Sadly, I even got the extended warranty (which the sales representative recommended as the individual assured me that any issues within 100,000 miles/5 years would be covered). Unfortunately, I found out that the extended warranty only covers things done by the manufacturer. So anything that I had custom done through DTO Customs (who actually sold me the jeep and shipped it to me) was unfortunately not included under the extended warranty, which I was not aware of until now. I have had to pay out-of-pocket due to the extended warranty not covering certain items to include the replacement of the entire transmission that blew besides the other parts that were customized by DTO Customs. While customer service may be polite and my jeep may "look cool", I just want a functioning vehicle that is reliable and would have not gotten this jeep if I would have known all the issues I was going to have within a short period of time. Sad to say that the trade-in value is low, especially for what I paid originally for the vehicle. So, I will not be coming back to this facility, and I will be writing to the management team. Here is hoping that after another visit to the shop...the sixth visit within the last few months and many phone conversations again...the issues will finally stop and I can finally focus on getting to and from work for the military. read more

I'm in the market for a truck - I am probably going to buy a new Ford F-150, but I drive by Dealers Trade Outlet all the time and notice all of the nice looking trucks and jeeps with aftermarket lift kits and large tires. So I thought I'd at the very least stop in, look at their offerings, and ask a few questions. First of all, the trucks here are all used. But they are in excellent condition. They had two Ford F-150's which I looked over, and they had a lot of Chevy and Toyota trucks, and a ton of really nice looking Jeeps! I met the owner - I believe his name is Bill. I asked him a lot of questions - and found out a couple of informational nuggets that I was not aware of - information that I will put to good use with some aftermarket mods for the new truck I am going to buy. However, they kept changing the price from what they had listed and they slowly became more shady the longer time went on...Telling me how they were giving me a great deal even though it was the same price they had it listed for online. We finally agreed on a price and terms, I got my loan in place and received DTO's documents which included $1300 in "administrative fees". I had asked repeatedly if there were any other costs involved or if there was anything else I needed to know about only to be told no over and over. I've had my eye on DTO for several years now, constantly checking inventory to see what is for sale. I've emailed several times and always received prompt friendly responses. DTO moves vehicles, constantly, which tells you, the potential buyer, that people are picking up what DTO is putting down. From what I've seen, they stock-up on custom Wranglers in the Spring time and maintain a constant inventory throughout the warm months before slowing down in the Fall. Same with the custom truck inventory - Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota, - remains constant throughout the year, again, this is just what I've seen. For you weary buyers, do not be put off by the small house/office there, as the focus is on the customer and the vehicles they have on display. When my bride-to-be announced she wanted to go look at custom Jeeps, I knew DTO was going to be our first stop. The salesmen Nate, immediately approached us when we arrived and patiently listened to our budget and what we were looking for. Nate then went through the different off-road packages to see what Jeep would fit our (read "her") needs; a "Pavement Princess". The man started listing his inventory off by year, color, off-road package, which tells me he knows his inventory. We had done our research and had narrowed it down to 2-3 vehicles. There were quite a few folks there on an early Saturday afternoon so we got to take the test drive sans salesmen. When we returned, Nate divulged that he was a Jeep enthusiast and took us around to see his Wrangler. It became clear that Nate has a passion for what he does and isn't just hocking custom vehicles to ignorant customers. We bought the Jeep. We bought the 4 year/48,000 mile extended warranty. After we signed the contract, Nate walked us over everything with the Jeep, from the lift kit to removing the hard-top system. The 4 year/48,000 mile warranty covers everything, including the custom work, which is offered for every vehicle. Didn't tell me they were going to make 3 hard hits on my credit when I applied, which lowered my credit score drastically. Also lowballed me on my truck when I know what it's worth.
