I went in today looking for Birkenstock clogs because the website said they had it available same day. I asked a blonde girl named Sofia for help and she was literally no help. I told her that they didn't have the size on the shelf I was looking for and she gave me the excuse, "if it's not on the shelf then we don't have it." She ended up walking with me to the section to see if she could order it online for me but ended up realizing that her system shows they do have the size in stock so she told me she would check (on her own free will) which I did appreciate. After 15 minutes of waiting, we noticed she was just going around the store doing other things like chatting with coworkers and opening/closing other boxes of shoes for fun so we realized she was literally just ignoring us. We decided to pay for the other shoes I had and I told the girl Jennifer at the register about the bad experience and how Sofia never came back to give us an update but Jennifer also didn't seem to care. I truly wouldn't have cared if they had them or not, the issue that really bothered me was Sofia didn't communicate effectively and left us waiting there for 15 minutes after she was clearly dilly dallying. All in all, gen z workers here who have no customer service or communication skills. I wouldn't recommend going if you need help bc they'll just give you a blank stare and offer no help/solutions on top of ignoring you. read more

Manager Carmina is extremely rude. I went there with an order for Cobbler Direct. Carmina came and said just leave your shoes there and leave. I had a few questions to ask her and she was really rude and started yelling. I was asking her if she can give me a receipt since she will be taking my precious shoes and I want to have some paperwork that my shoes are with them. She is extremely unprofessional, rude and a terrible person. I feel sorry for the employees there because she is probably so mean to them if she's mean to customers. I will never visit Dublin DSW since the treatment of customers is unacceptable. Corporate have been informed. Let's see what they will do to address this. read more

Horrible experience, I was rushed last night by the worker so I accidentally picked out the wrong size of shoes, but when I was there I asked her to spray the shoe which they charge you $10 the next day I went to get the correct size and they wouldn't spray my shoes that asked for another $10 and they were extremely rude about it.. the African lady girl was nice, but the white girl manager and the fat Latina girl was rude and wouldn't even budge, I will call their corporate office tomorrow morning and file a complaint, and I'll never buy shoes there again read more

DSW is like the Costco for shoes - huge variety of styles at discounted priced and plenty of space to roam around and browse. We used to frequent this store before the pandemic for both casual work shoes and walking shoes. I don't always manage to buy shoes though, since there seems to be limited inventory for my size (12-wide). I get better luck through Skechers stores or online through Amazon. Our most recent visit was to get shoes for our 17-month old, who's becoming increasingly skilled at walking. We managed to get a nice pair of Nikes in size 6c that looked comfy and stylish. Most importantly, it was easy to slip on and off. If it takes 5 mins to put a shoe on, either the size is too small or the shoe design is just not user-friendly. We had bad experiences with buying toddler shoes online, so its always better to shop in-person to try on shoes for your little one. read more

I wasted an afternoon at this place. The floor staff made it a point to follow me around while I was there. I chose to ignore them. I went to stand in line with my $200 purchase. There was one cashier, 5 people in line, including an elderly woman using a walker. The cashier left to do lord knows what. No one came to assist the other people in line to get us through. I called ahead of time to see if I could exchange a shoe I purchased online and picked up the day before , and I was first placed on hold for a bit which no problem. I got one of the associates on the line and she was NOT too enthused at all over the phone & I felt rushed to get out my question as her reply before I even asked the complete question was a generic one that did not pertain to my question. I then I asked if I could just come in and do an even exchange for the same shoe just a different size & is the exchange policy the same in store for a purchase made online? She said if it is an exchange for the same shoe yes . I then asked do I need to pay for the exchanged pair because when I went in the store for my online pickup the assiciate told me I would have to get a refund and get charged for the exact same shoe, just sized down which I was not aware of. The associate told me : NO, you dont have to pay again its an even exchange if its the same shoe I said ok thank you. I asked nicely was there any way she would be able to look to see if they still had the size I wanted to exchange because I didnt want to drive way over there if the size isn't available that would be ok ill stick with what I have make it work. When I say you could have swore I asked her to look up 20 pair of shoe sizes and 3 other pairs in store that would send her on a hunt ! Her response was curt and unprofessional rushed and her tone wasnt pleasant at all. I went in the store to do the even exchange as she put the size I needed on hold for me which I thanked her and got off the phone and while I went in the store Im thinking I dont have to return the shoe for an even exchange same shoe just sized down I went off of what the associate response which was incorrect information she told me. I in-fact I DID have to "do a price match" which I had no clue what that meant I just wanted to do an even exchange! Not only did i have to pay for the SAME SHOE but my refund will take 5-7 business days despite being told differently before I made the trip there. I hate coming on here and leaving bad reviews but my last experience here was the worst. I ordered two shoes for pickup in store. It gave me until 10/7/2022 to pick it up. I went in the 1st. The cashier was nice and understanding but she said that the shoes were returned and not in store anymore. She then said my only option was to cancel the order and get a refund. I will not be choosing order pickup anymore and will be just shipping to my house. read more

While I love coming here for my shoes, great selection and great prices. The customer service is non existent, today I came in the purchase some boots and I had the email with the coupon code and the sales person ringing me up Precise was so unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Kept saying can't do anything without a bar code doesn't matter that you have the email right there on your phone with the coupon code I need a barcode. Kept telling me it's at the bottom of the email which it wasn't. Finally figured out in order to get the coupon you need to hit the *exclusions apply link. You would think she would have known how to do this or you would think they would have copies of the current promotion at the register when a customer can clearly show they have the email offering the discount. No matter the issue at hand she could have been much more friendly and helpful with the situation vs the unsmiling rude demeanor she offered. Maybe DSW should train their employees better, I've been in customer service for over 20 years and I would never behave that way with a customer. read more

Shoes. Shoes. Shoes! An endless array of shoes, big, small, tall, short, flat, solids and stripes and other colors! Craziness? Nope. Just a large storefront filled with shoes. And its great! DSW has a huge variety of shoes, for all different types of people. What I have come to love about DSW is their loyalty program AND their donation program. Its not always easy to find a company who truly cares about its customers as well as the welfare of underprivileged individuals, but DSW does. Donation program: donate a pair of shoes and Soles for Soles, a partner of DSW will donate a pair of shoes to someone in need. Additionally, if you're a loyalty member, you get 50 pts for every pair of shoes you donate, but you can only donate once a week, but still thats 200 pts a month which equals a $10 reward. And it can be used towards in store and online purchases. Furthermore, theres no limit as to how many rewards you can use for one purchase! Because of the rewards program, two pairs of shoes, were absolutely free b/c I had so many rewards saved up. It really is a great program, and DSW is constantly having incentives to earn points. I.E. In June 2020, for every 2 or more pairs of shoes donated you'd receive 200pts automatically = a $10 reward. For the most part, the customer service in the Dublin, CA location has been pretty good. And there is always plenty of parking. Rarely is the store or parking lot jammed packed with customers. I was never a shoe girl, until I moved to the bay area. When we arrived to pick up an online order where it said online order pickup the cashiers did not say we will be there with you in a moment. They did not even tell us to move to where people were purchasing and kept on taking other people and not acknowledging us. When we picked up our order I noticed that the shoes look like they have been worn and returned. The customer service was not great and I won't consider going back there anymore. I've always loved DSW, and now I love them even more since they have opened up a location so close to home. This store is not quite as big as the other ones I've been to ( SF, SD, OC ) except, they still have a good selection and variety. I love the deals that they have at DSW! I got a pair of Judith Leiber flats here mrsp $499 for $24, after all the ridiculous amounts of discounts that were applied. Although Judith Leiber isn't known for their flats, that is besides the point. hahaha DSW is the only shoe store I know that houses such a wide range of shoes from Converse - Giuseppe Zanotti. Then went to pay rang up much higher they went to check and saw that the wrong sign had been posted but they would not honor the posted price. This DSW has gone down to 3 stars and here's why. I came in today to try to find a pair of special occasion heels I need for a special event coming up this weekend but DSW did not deliver. I did not find 1 single shoe that was fancy enough for my dress. I'm usually looking for brands like Sam Edelman, Via Spiga, Calvin K or something that screams fashion drama but that was not the case with this hideous selection. Most of the "evening" dress shoes don't even reach 4 inches in height so basically that means they don't carry the more sophisticated brands I usually purchase at other DSW locations. I guess no one out here dresses up and most of the shoes I did see screamed booooooooring. This DSW is cool if your wanting flats, walking shoes or sneakers but not if your wanting dress shoes. Shoes, glorious shoes! DSW is probably my favorite shoe store in Dublin, and I'll tell you why! It's located in a little shopping outlet next to Ross, Marshalls, Michaels, etc., so it's kind of a neat place to check out if you're already in the area anyway. Ross has cheap shoes, too, but not like the quality you will find at DSW. I'm very particular about my shoes; they have to fit just right, and they have to look just right. DSW is where I found my favorite pair of black lace-up boots, that I am oh-so happy with. At first, they blistered my feet so I had to break them in a lot, but now they are as comfy as a pair of Uggs with no fur. Pretty expensive for being an outlet of designer shoes, but it was the cheapest I'd ever seen a pair of boots like that, so I was willing to cough up $60 for the cutest pair of boots I'd ever seen. Even at Target they can get up to $50, and these have lasted me quite long and held up very well. They still look new! But DSW doesn't only cater to women, it has a very nice Men's section too. My guy friend (who hates shopping) actually doesn't mind coming here because he likes finding comfortable shoes to wear. There's something for everyone! read more

I was in the market for a specific type and color of sandal, so headed to DSW figuring they were bound to have what I was looking for. Although they didn't, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this location. It's a manageable size and very clean and modern looking on the inside. Parking was plentiful on a Sunday. In terms of selection, I'd say they pretty much had EVERYTHING BESIDES what I was looking for and my eyes wandered towards many a beautiful pair of sandals. However, I stuck to my game plan and left empty handed, not finding specifically what I was looking for. Their clearance section was well organized and stocked, and the regular priced items were all well arranged too. Prices are DSW reasonable and they have a wide variety of name brand options. I'd definitely come back here again for any shoe needs (or wants.) It just wasn't in the stars for me to walk away with anything this past weekend. read more

DSW is large, clean, and filled with shoes. Did I say filled? Because it is chock full of shoes and a few other related accessories. Right now is boot season. I wandered in, tried on about 6-8 pairs of boots and walked out with a new pair of leather boots for ~$150 after tax, not bad. Of course you have to poke your nose into the clearance section to see if something is calling your name, and on the way back and forth you may accidentally stumble into some other shoes you want! I have to make sure I only come here when I feel like buying shoes, because I buy something whenever I walk in. Oh and the store is clean, well lit and the staff is decent. read more

I don't write reviews often but I had to write a rare one after my experience today. I bought a pair of cute wedges from last week, and loved them so much that I threw away the box and receipt as soon as I got home! (Bad move, I know.) Anyway, today I wore them for the first time to work and as I was going up to my office in the elevator, I noticed that the big gem on the front of both shoes were DIFFERENT COLORS! Ah! I freaked out all day, ran over to DSW on my lunch, and was prepared for them to tell me that without a receipt or box, I would be out of luck. But nope! The sales associate (ah, I can't remember her name!) apologized profusely to me (even though it was all MY fault) and told me they could exchange them anyway! I literally stood at the register, took off my shoes, exchanged them with another pair, and put those ones on. Easy peasy! There weren't any hoops to jump through, and they didn't make me feel like a bigger idiot than I already felt like. So I'm definitely happy with this location and will be coming back. read more

Recently came in to purchase some new work shoes. I like how the store is laid out and you can see the various styles and the prices are clearly marked. I happen to go on a day there was a sale and got an additional 30% off (sore)! If you sign up for their email news letter they'll send you coupons and $5 bucks off any pair shoes on your birthday. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of day but over all great service and value. read more
