I came here maybe about a month ago. Right off the bat I decided to wait how the tint would look. Had 20% on sedan civic. Looked great off the bat and about a month later still looks great. Now I also had a sub and amp install. Reasonable price for install. When I got the car back the job was very sloppy. My trunk opener was not even working and had to go back. About a week later the subs stopped working. Come to realize a week later that they put a bad fuse in the install. The install was very sloppy. The customer service, even from owner Eddy, was terrible. For tint this place is great. Anything else I would go far from the place. read more

This place is amazing the work they do is top notch and the customer service great. If something they install breaks they will find a way to honor the warranty. Please do business with them by any means. It will save you a lot of headache down the road. read more

Great service and great prices. Very happy with the work they did. My stereo sounds so much better. They took their time and did everything right. I would definitely recommend them in the future! read more

I came here for window tinting on my new car and definitely recommend this place. Pricing is very competitive (including a lifetime warranty), and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The job looks great and took about three hours in total. There's a good wifi connection and even better music playing on all their speakers while you wait as well :). read more

Great job. Great price and very professional. Make sure to make an appointment if you plan on having a lot of work done. The best car audio place by far I found in the DMV area. Well worth the drive. read more

Eddy and his team are very knowledgeable, reliable and helpful. Eddy just installed a new double din stereo/nav system in my 2005 prius. Unfortunately the hardware was defective. Obviously that's not DSP's fault--I bought it through a marketplace seller on Amazon.com. However, DSP is going way above and beyond the call of duty to help fix the problem. read more

I had window tints installed on both of my vehicles by DSP 4 years apart and had a great experience each time. They are affordable and do a fantastic job with installation. The final products looked great in both cases. Their service was friendly and fast. Best of all, when I moved to a new state and needed to remove the tint, they performed this service quickly and efficiently and worked around my schedule to get it done ASAP. The service technician, Dave, even knocked $50 off the cost of doing it. One other benefit of DSP is there is plenty to do around the area if you need to kill a few hours while the work is done. The Wheaton Mall is a 10 min walk away and there are plenty of good restaurants even closer than that. read more

I'm very happy with my car's new CD receiver, and Eddie really cares about his customers.

Fast, courteous, and friendly staff. So glad I came across this place. Did an excellent job replacing my car stereo and they have plenty of more business coming their way. read more

Took my car for an estimate. Eddy never followed thru with an estimate or setting up an appointment. Ended up wasting my time.

Unbelievable guys eddy and mike. Eddy took the time to properly diagnose the issue and and even fix mistakes made by the best buy guys when they installed my head unit...don't ever go to best buy. When eddy and mike were done, my car had the rich, full, encompassing sound I've been chasing for years. A++++! Excellent company, best customer service you could ever dream of! read more

I made an appointment to get my radio installed by Best Buy who didn't tell me I needed to order a dash kit and then told me to order the dash kit to my house and bring it in and wanted me to come back a week+ later. Unlike Best Buy, they had the kit at DSP, which unfortunately was the kit for the stock design, which mine no longer had and I had not mentioned, so they were able to order the dash kit and have the radio in the next day. Took forever, but that was waiting for FedEx to finally arrive and had nothing to do with DSP, and once it arrived, it was in and done. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and serious about doing a good job. I definitely will come back for further work on my car. read more

Eddie took care of me. Gave me good advice and a nice system for a reasonable price. My son's car is a 2005 Subaru and one of his favorite CD'S was stuck in the drive which meant it was dead. The car is 10 at this point anyway. They did an installation with a kit that fit perfectly inside the dashboard and then gave me training on how to use the new Bluetooth system. The sound quality is crystal clear and I love all the colors on the radio. The people here are very pleasant and friendly. read more

Eddy and his crew took great care of me. After I botched my DIY HU install, they took the time to get it right, even stayed after business hours to finish the job. Couldn't be more pleased with the results. I will definitely be back soon! read more

These folks really know their stuff. I have an older Mercedes and wanted to play my iPod/iPhone through the original equipment radio. MB radios are complicated, and Eddy found the right unit and overcame a quirk in the system to get the job done on time and at the promised price. read more

DSP selected and installed a media receiver in my CTS today. This car means alot to me, because it had been my father's car. Having done installs on the side once upon a time, I was very good and would never have let someone else touch my cars. I can't do that anymore...but I still know what perfection looks and sound like. Well, DSP absolutely nailed it. The install is clean and precise. Because the fit wasn't perfect, they took the install into 'overtime' to make it perfect. It is spot on, and looks, and works perfect. It also gives me functionality that I didn't expect. I visited a number of other shops in the area, and chose DSP because of the reviews, and because they don't try to stack up a bunch of installs into the same time frame. DSP's attention to detail is impressive, and I will bring my cars here for installs and upgrades from now on. read more

Eddy, the shop owner is terrific! He repairs car CD changers too! He answered all of my questions and gave me an estimate over the phone based on likely scenarios. I got a same day appointment and Eddy was able to get my CD out without having to disassemble it! I was out in 30 minutes and didn't break the bank! An honest small business that offers service with a smile read more

this is the PLACE to visit for your car audio needs!!!! Eddy and his entire team are simply the best!!! I have had mixed expereinces with DSP. the folks certainly seem to know what they are doing but I think they get overextended. I had an Ipod attachment installed, which took much longer than I had been promised. then discovered there was a defect in the unit and I had to make a second appointment. Would have been nice if they tested the unit before sending me on my way. More recently, I had them install a after-market system and that also became a hassle. including the need to go back and have a wire reconnected and fix the installation. so bottom line: they may know what they are doing, but check the work before you drive off or you may need to come back and wait some more. read more

DSP installed tints on my vehicle. They did a great job and were very fast. I would definitely use them again.

Amazing store. Eddy does great work and stands behind it. I had him install DVD players in my car. He did a great job. Very neat. When I had questions, he always takes my call and is very kind. Recommend them highly and often to friends and family. read more

I was referred to DSP Audio and Video by the Wheaton Body Shop, which does excellent paint work. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to elect DSP to tint my windows. Bad decision. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the overall outcome of the tint job I received from Eddy. I paid $150 to have my sedan's four doors and rear windshield tinted at 35%. After getting the tints installed, I followed his instructions - I did not roll down the windows for a week. I called four days after the tint job and explained to him that I noticed air bubbles in all five of the windows. He asked me to wait another week and explained that some bubbles are common after installation and need some time to naturally remove themselves. After two weeks I called Eddy to explain that the air bubbles were still there and scheduled a date to show him. After inspection, I could tell he was reluctant to honor his "lifetime warranty." He explained that the air bubbles near the top of the windows were common from dirt that the human eye could not see and that there was NO WAY to address this issue. Isn't the tinter responsible for cleaning the window slits before installation? Why did Eddy make it seem like it was the customer's responsibility? I have seen MANY cars with clean tints with no air bubbles (at the top of the windows) for the rate he was charging. I then mentioned that there were air bubbles in all five of the windows aside from the air bubbles at the top and he mentioned in these exact words, "No tint job is perfect," implying that this was a plausible excuse for his poor set-up/work. At the end of our conversation, he offered to fix one of the five windows (the driver's side), which I found appalling. I gave Eddy the benefit of the doubt after receiving a recommendation from the Wheaton Body Shop. I was lead to believe he was a man of his word and would fix all tints for his shotty worksmanship. After all, that is what the warranty was supposed to cover. Since there is no formal document (he states the receipt is sufficient) for this "warranty," you really can't rely on this vague offer. There are no set guidelines on what he covers - It really becomes the decision of Eddy as to whether his work was poorly performed or was stellar (which he obviously thought he was). Maybe he should just stick to audio and video like his shop name suggests. Do not get your tint job from DSP - The warranty is a hoax to get the customer to feel safe in his/her purchase of Eddy's tint services. If you want a great tint job done right and excellent customer service, go with Driven Dynamics in Rockville. (http://www.drivendynamics.com/). They understood my frustration and were surprised that Eddy only offered to fix one window after inspection. They removed Eddy's tints the same day of inspection and installed new tints, which came out perfectly cut and aligned, with no air bubbles and no scratches. read more

I have been looking for a good place to purchase and put in a sound system in my car. Eddie is amazing! First, he helped me picked out a system which included an amp and a subwoofer that sounds amazing and gave me the pros and cons of everything. In the end it was pricey that makes sense because I am a bit of an audiophile. Next comes the installation dropped my car off and picked it up the next day. First I have no idea where the wires are because you really cannot tell. He walked me through the basics of the system and I was off. A few weeks later I had to reset the radio because it was making all of these annoying sounds. He told me to bring it in and showed me how to fix it. The selection is not huge but I found the ranges were great. Pretty sure you can buy a product from somewhere else and have it installed. This is a great group and I totally would recommend them. read more

I am a teacher in the county. I say that to emphasis my book knowledge, but I have limited intelligence with anything pertaining to a car. I recently purchased a subaru truck which is well known to have issues with any after market audio accessories, etc. I called an auto audio shop in Rockville and Columbia, but they were both indifferent and impersonal. Not to mention they both quoted me expensive prices for labor and parts. I read the reviews on here, and I called DSP. Right away Eddy gave me his full attention and offered his experience/expertise with Subaru. He was very straight forward and honest. He quoted me a great price. He researched and told me he could fit me in same day. I drove to him in 30 minutes. I waited a couple of hours, if that, and he had my truck ready for me. He installed an auxiliary wire for my iPad, etc., which even tweaked my factory radio and enhanced the sound! He even suggested tints for my windows, and because I felt confident in him (and the price was quite reasonable), I let him tint them. The price he quoted over the phone was the EXACT same for final charge. I am VERY satisfied with the tints and the auxiliary wire/sound. Very professional shop. In fact, I'm calling Eddy to make an appt for my brother to get his truck done here. It is located on the alley side of a shop -don't let it deter you. This is superior service. My highest recommendation. read more

Replaced the fuse on my car stereo quickly, professionally, and for a reasonable price.

I brought in an car radio / CD player about 2 weeks ago and they installed it while I waited for a hair under $40. They started the job (or at least moved my car inside) immediately and were done in maybe 20 minutes or so. The price seemed very good, the work was competent, the service was friendly, and their answer my question appeared knowledgeable. What's not to like? read more

Black owned, clean and takes one hour to install a radio with bells and whistles. Greatest business ever

I had been looking to replace my stock Toyota radio a couple of years ago and happened upon Eddie and his crew. The shop had great ratings -- and they did a terrific job getting me just what I wanted, for a good price, in a great turnaround. Fast forward a couple of years and the CD player stops working (honesty I don't remember using it for two years until the other day). I contact Eddie and he asks me to come in so he can have a look. When I swing by, I walk out with a replacement. No questions - he just stood by his work (and he'll take it up with Alpine). This type of customer support and all around good human being-ness makes the world just a little bit better! read more

I read all of the positive reviews here and decided to give them a try. It was the right decision. Eddie and his team are very professional and true experts. I highly recommend Eddie and DSP Audio. I called ahead at the end of the day and was able to select a new car stereo and have it installed within 35 minutes. Excellent customer service and knowledge of car electrical system. I'm a military service member who wanted to have some alarm work done to my new car, new to area and tried Eddy's place. Glad I chose this shop. I had a lot more done than alarm with auto start, tint with Dave, and tons of other custom work done. I have a 15 scion FR-S, so if anyone needs custom work done, heres the place to come to as this car is more complicated than other and my car had almost everything done to it... Couldn't be more happy with everything and especially how they worked with me. There are few shops who tie up wires (took off my bumper one day and saw everything was nice and neat) and back up their work with quality. I suggest anyone wanting knowledgeable or custom work done to their car the right way, their way go to this place. read more

Eddy was very rude and has no idea what customer service means. They did not do a good tinting my car the first time so I made an appointment again for them to fix the problems. Instead of being sorry for not doing a job right and waste my time, I felt that he was upset, Idk maybe he think a have no right to complain but If I pay $140.00, I expect a great job! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I will never come back again! read more

I decided to go with this place based on their wonderful reviews on yelp. I was able to get a same day appointment to get all my windows tinted at 5% and it came out wonderful. I was also supposed to get a sun strip but there ended up being a crack on my windshield. They called me about 10-15 minutes after I dropped it off letting me know. The only problem I had was finding the place I drove around in circles for about 15 minutes trying to find the place till I decided to call them. Its been a few weeks and there have been no issues with the tint so far. read more

Eddy and his team are thorough and professional. It's obvious they know their craft and well. I am a happy repeat customer. I brought my base model Cadillac SRX to DSP for a few upgrades including a new Cadillac Cue system and back up camera. Before Eddy agreed to do the work he made sure he could by first doing some research on the components. All work is guaranteed. They won't do it if they don't believe they can. There's also wifi for folks who need to wait which came in handy for my visits. I worked while I waited. Great group of pros led by a stand up guy who always responds to email. He's earned my business and respect. read more

Eddy and his team are very knowledgeable, reliable and professional. Eddy installed a new double din stereo/navigation system and backup camera in my (2007 Porsche Boxster S). The fact that the existing Bose system could not be used and needed to be removed made me a little scared. In addition, my car used fiber optics wiring so I was sweating bullets. But Eddy walked me through the entire process relieveing my worries. He also discussed any onboard functionality I would loose, and how long the install would take. Unfortunately, installs on other vehicles went long, so my installation took another day--Eddy did not want to rush a clearly complex installation (true professional). On the second day, the camera was installed and everything was integrated. Everything worked great. Hell, I got better sound with the new system using the same old Bose speakers. They crafted/installed a dash frame that looked like it was delivered with the car. Eddy discounted me for any inconveniences and refused to let me leave without providing a total review of the new system's functionality. Any inconveniences aside, it was best audio installation I have experienced. I highly recommend Dsp-the staff went above and beyond the level of customer service and professionalism provided by mega audio installers. Thanks guys. read more

They try to jack up the prices and spit a bunch of gibberish with stereo installation thinking I don't know anything about stereos. Just wanted Stereo and Amp installed. Was quoted $120 before arrival, when I got there they said I need to install speakers to test the sound which was an additional $60. But I can't install speakers without buying an additional $13bracket+$25 sound shield. Making the grand total around $218. I told them" forget the speakers and I do the install myself, just install the amp and stereo", they said "We can't do it, its extra labor to test the sound without speakers" and jacked up the price from $120 to $160 for amp and stereo. It 3 SCREWs! to get to the speaker wire to test for sound! I actually did most of the work for them when I took out my previous sound system and all they had to do was wire and mount, but they said I caused damage which is extra work for them (What BS!!) Typical car mechanic trying to get extra $ out of you. DO NOT GO TO! read more
