He recommended some other options for me to look at doors that may be a little bit more affordable and I did. So thankful for that piece of information. He picked up my doors for me within the three day grace period of where I bought them from and was out in the same week to install . Confirming time and date with him was a little stressful because his day fluctuates with what he's got going on so I was a little nervous that it wasn't going to happen right away . But he is a man of his word and called me on Friday morning to let me know that I was going to to have my doors installed in the morning . His crew was so professional, nice very clean tidy worked efficiently He charges $475 per door, which is a little expensive, but I believe it was worth it.

This was extra-curricular, by the way--he only did and got paid for the installation, so all the advice he offered on getting the door to be installed was a matter of professional courtesy. When the door was ready, the installer came on time and did a quick, thorough and professional job. The new door looks and works great. The installer even helped adjust a few other doors in the house that weren't working well, all at no extra charge. I had an outstanding experience with the Door Guys and would highly recommend them to anyone for quality craftsmanship and superior service.

To be fair, the lack of communication and games they play made me go with Doors of Houston and not…read morethem. I called was told that it would be around $500. I said wow and that it was only $400 to install but ok and I was sent a canned text message to my phone to send 4 pictures, measurements, and contact info. I sent them everything but didn't hear back until the next day and it was the same canned text verbiage back but they added the email address. So I sent the same thing again to the email address, 6 pictures, measurements and contact info. Crickets and tumble weeds for two days again. So I resent the email and a couple of days later finally the next day, Then finally, I get the same canned message telling me to email them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. Now I am getting worried that all my training as a CSR at AT&T's U-verse department has gone by the way side. However, I still needed my door fixed and besides they had installed it when I first got it and I knew that they would surely stand by their install. However, they never told me what they weren't getting, me I could not tell what was the problem because it all went through without bouncing back and they would only answer in canned responses and not tell me what I might have forgotten or didn't go through my message. So after checking everything out, all looked well and it had been a week now without a front door, I sent it again. A couple of days later, i get another canned message to send them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. So I sent it two more times from different email addresses thinking that maybe it's Google's fault. After not hearing again from them, I went back to texting them and explaining that I had not a clue as to what they weren't getting from my emails but that I knew that they were receiving them because I got the same canned messages back twice out of the six time that I sent it to them but they never took the time to tell me what was missing the pictures? measurements? Contact info? or what? So I finally get a personalized message with the following excuses, Excuse one: He texted back that they were on an emergency install. Excuse two: he texted me back to say that they get 40 text messages a day and they just get lost. Excuse three: finally a personalized email comes back saying that he was playing catch up after a family emergency but it would be $500. I don't know if he really had three different excuses but I got three after two weeks of not having a front door. I almost answered his email back to say that I was so very sorry about his family emergency and hope that everything was alright. But a friend stopped me and asked why was I apologizing, I didn't do anything wrong and like she said, at this point it did sounded like a scam. I was willing to pay the $500 estimate for a job that he said he never saw my emails because he lost my text messages, and/or was too busy to acknowledge my emails to explain what was missing because of an emergency install and/or the family emergency. Stick to one excuse and it might have been more believable. So there you have it folks, plenty of excuses and no door after two weeks made me decide that if it was a communication problem before the work started, I figure it was not going to get any better after the work started. So I called Doors Svc of Houston and they had the front door fixed by noon the next day and fixed my patio door handle while they were there too. I got two doors repaired for $300 less than The Door Guys were to fix just the one door.

By the grace of God, I found Cambridge Windows and Doors, a locally owned company in Stafford,…read moreTexas. I decided to check them out to replace my front entry door. I had been looking for a beautiful new entry door for some time and finally found it at Cambridge, "The Best Little Door House in Texas". From the first time I sat down with the owner, Michael Stinson, to discuss the door, I knew this was the company I wanted to work with to build and install my new door. This is an owner and a company of integrity, expertise, and over 30 years of experience in building doors and windows. Michael is a perfectionist and expects nothing less of his people who build and do the installations. I was given a tour of the work rooms where they do their "magic" to assemble these beautiful doors, all the way from the planks of wood with the bark still intact to the gorgeous finished product. It was amazing. The gentleman who builds, sands and finishes the doors, Adolfo, is an unbelievable woodworking artist . Mario and Mario II were experts installing the door, which requires a lot of skill and is a messy job, but my foyer was as clean when they left as when they came, maybe cleaner. They cleaned up every speck, super nice men. There are so many beautiful doors to choose from, it's difficult to choose, not only the door, but the hardware as well; however, Michael is an expert in helping you choose the perfect door and hardware to match the style and exterior of your home. I rarely review companies, but this company is too amazing not to. After all, your front door is like the elegant jewelry of your home. I looked at a lot of door companies in Houston; Cambridge Doors and Windows far surpassed all of them in quality, expertise, and customer service from start to the finished install. I will not hesitate to have them replace my windows when the time comes.

We will def use them again for the rest of our windows! We replaced an old builder grade front door and put storm doors on all exterior doors. The front door is composite but it looks like real wood. Diana coordinated the installations and kept us well informed at all stages. One small hiccup is being resolved as I write this. They don't have a big crew so we had to be a bit flexible on scheduling, but they show up when they say they will and work hard the whole time. We will definitely use them again when we replace French doors on patio. Highly recommend this company, we are happy with everything!

David went through the process with me and asked me to choose the color stain (he also helped). He stated how long it was going to take them. The whole process was a smooth transaction. Andrew assisted David and helped him take the door down and cover the front door with plastic. I notice how closely they worked together and how very commutative they were to each other. They were the true meaning teamwork makes the dream work! I was very pleased with their work, but most importantly my mother was extremely excited about her brand-new refinished door!
