First, I want to say the Customer Service was really great, nothing wrong with the people working there, all super nice, had good conversations. I'm trying to find a new manicure spot near me, but it's turning out to be a rough find. I work in the service industry, so I know how hard it is to work in customer service and to get reviews like this, but all I can offer is honesty so this could be approved in the future so that you guys can keep getting business. The quality of what I received was pretty rough. She did a decent job with the design, I would rate that 8/10. BUT 24 hours after I got my nails done (got a dip manicure), one of them cracked off, as she was trying to add length instead of filing them all to a shorter length so they could all match like I had asked her to do. She said that was "too much work" and that she could add length instead, I wasn't sure and I even said I didn't want that, but it didn't seem to matter what I wanted as far as length and she did it anyways and this is what I got. Also, just realizing they never trimmed my cuticles, who does that when they're getting a manicure, not trim the cuticles, that's kind of important. Cracked manicure. Went yesterday for a pedicure. Nails are crooked, dried up cuticles still present; and the polish is goopy and about to chip. The owner set me up with a new technician that wasn't fully trained and then a minute later the owner sat down next to me and had a highly-skilled pedicurist do her pedicure!!!!!! As the owner was getting her toes done , her and the skilled tech would train my tech as she worked on my toes. If I spoke up about any issue I was immediately shut down. I didn't push it because I felt so bad for the trainee who already seemed on edge. I was the one paying $$$ but they gave me the trainee so the owner could get her toes done by the skilled pro. My pedicure is not good as you can see in the pics-- but the owner's toes look amazing! Won't be back. read more

I have been going to my regular salon for so many years and when I called to get in the appointments available just didn't work. I figured it was time to try someplace new and I'm so glad I did. I called and talked to Donna. I liked her right away. She said, "come on over". I can do you right away. I found Donna to be awesome. She did just as she promised. She helped me pick out a nail color and I decided on getting my nails "dipped". I had never had it done before and I was very pleased with the results. Donna did a great job. I also like her warm and welcoming approach. You can book an appointment here which is awesome. They also have a business card and on the back is a punch or stamp pad. For every $20 you spend you get a square filled. When you have all 10 spaces filled you get $10 off your next service. I'm happy I found this new nail salon. After sitting under the nail dryer I was told that I was good to go. In just a few minutes my manicure was running down to my knuckles. They would not give me a refund. They were rude and said I could come back for a free manicure like I actually would do that! There is a very severe language barrier and I couldn't understand them and they couldn't understand me. I have been to so many, and none are nearly as great as DS nails. I cannot say enough good things about this salon. For years I've been trying different salons because I don't feel like they ever get it right, cut me, or charge insane prices. I decided to try out DS today, and I am so happy I did. Owner immediately greeted me at the door and even remembered my name from calling earlier in the day. She made conversation with me and had me in a chair within a minute of walking in. I briefly showed the nail tech what I wanted, and she got right to work! I did a Dip manicure with small extensions. I typically do acrylic but I'm trying to step away as it damages my brittle nails quickly. I also explained to her that I have a couple cuts and a ripped nail as well, and she was so careful with me! I saw all the positive reviews and decided to go here for the first time last night. Although everyone who worked there was extremely kind, I will NEVER be back. My nails look awful, extremely uneven, some places without polish at all, lots of bubbles. They are much longer than I wanted because my nail tech wouldn't cut them at all when I asked, and wouldn't cut one nail where it was already broken, so my gel manicure is chipped after less than 12 hours. I have 2 bleeding cuticles that still hurt and so I can't even go somewhere else to get the gel off because of the open wounds, I'm stuck with nails that look like they were done by a 5 year old! I also had to sand down the tip of one nail because the edge was so rough, and had gel ALL OVER my fingertips that I had to pull off when I left. read more

I told my friend for her birthday we would get pedicures, so yesterday we chose to come here because it's close to home. We walked in and there were a few people in there but they said they had time so we sat down and picked out our colors. She picked a dark pink for her toes and I chose a purple with some sparkles.The pedicures started like normal, they cleaned the nails, trimmed and cuticle removed, but then they started painting our nails immediately after which I thought was strange because any standard pedicure I've ever had has scrubbed/massaged your feet legs? But I thought maybe they waited until after the polish? Now I'm a very non-controversial person. I'm a server, I work for my money just like these ladies and I just have a hard time saying something. She finises the polish and puts a pea size amount of oil on my legs and rubs it in and gets my shoes.... I'm done?! That wasn't a pedicure? You painted my toes? I come pay for a pedicure and expect my feet to be rubbed and scrubbed? Okay so she puts my shoes on and tells me to go sit in the chair for my manicure. At this point I'm super bummed.. like I'm about to pay for all this and I'm super unhappy. But me and my friend are chatting like it's fine, we're both the same way; non confrontational. So she's doing my manicure and everything is fine. I'm talking to my friend so I was sorta turned towards her so maybe this is sorta my fault, but shes almost finished by the time I notice shes painting my nails Barbie pink (I'm really not a pink person) but again with being non confrontational and with her bring almost done I just bit my tongue... The manicure is nice and she did great but I have bright pink nails, No massaged legs or feet and now I'm paying $150 for this... I'm paying for my friend like I said and she had the same less than mediocre pedicure.. So I pay and I tip and we leave... I just think for $50 a pedicure you could at least rub someone's feet...
