This is a good salon for gel nails and up. If you want a basic pedicure they use paper towel pieces to separate your toes and there is no place to let your nails dry. You are hustled out the door to risk getting home without smudging them. read more

I went to this nail salon based on recommendations from two friends. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. The woman who gave me a pedicure did an amazing job with the massage and nail polish application, but cut my toe. It bled, and took a week to heal. The male nail tech who did my nails took me immediately after doing someone else and didn't sanitize any of his drills, brushes, clippers, anything. I asked him if he needed time to get the previous customer's red polish off and clean and all he did was shake his head and ignore me. Within one week my nails started to chip (I had dip) and they continue to just fall apart. I've had dip consistently for over three years and have never had them chip like this. The owner came over to say hello as he was doing my nails, and she was quite friendly, but Needless to say I will not be returning nor recommending this place based on my experience. read more

I had a great experience here! I showed a photo of pink ombre dip nails i found on pinterest and they were able to achieve the same look on my nails in ~45 minutes. (I did not get fake tips). I did not like the slow service my friend was getting her nails done and then the lady realized that she had an appointment and kicked her out and told her to wait. Then my other friends nail tech did not ask if she liked them and got right up after he was done. My personal experience was that my lady keep trying to make me do gel after I repeatedly said no. I was at Lvy Nails today for a mani/pedi before my vacation. What I'd hoped to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience was chaotic. They were obviously short staffed. I had multiple technicians and it took well over 2 hours for the service because of all the changes and interruptions. The end result was a mani that I am not happy with. I'm not a big fan of people touching my feet ... or seeing them; so when I say that this place has an amazing pedicure, you can believe it. Very clean, relaxing environment. Ladies were attentive and good at what they do. This was a first time experience for my teen daughter and she had the mani-pedi teen combo, loved it. They were very polite and helped her through decisions and the process. Meanwhile I had the pedicure upgrade and can't wait to go back. Easily a 40-45 minute experience complete with scrub, clean, massage, and nail polish. The scrub and massage includes your calfs- such a treat for a teacher or anyone on their feet all day! I wouldn't go anyplace else after this. Overall the atmosphere is soothing and relaxed. It isn't a high-end super spa and salon, but for the west metro housewife and mom it's a step up from the average nail salon... just a touch of luxury, at an affordable price point. I went to the salon on a recommendation and honestly will never be back. I never write reviews but feel compelled to protect others from a bad experience. I went in for my first dip nails treatment. The nail tech was very rough with me and burned my cuticles several times. I of course jumped every time she did it and after 4 or 5 "burns" she asked, "Does it burn?". I replied, " Yes, that is why I am flinching! That really hurts!" To which she just went back to her torture. My 14 yr old daughter joined me for a pedicure in the other part of the salon. I asked her how her service was and she shared that her pedi water was cold, cold! What the heck? I have never had cold water for a pedi in my life! She is too sweet to say anything so she opted for the basic pedi to get her feet out of the water sooner. Got my acrylic nails filled at the chanhassen location a week and a half ago. Within 6 days of my fill I had to go back in twice to get my nails fixed. The polish wouldn't stay on and three of my nails were already breaking. I had to beg for a new color because the gel polish clearly was way too old. They wouldn't give me a new color, they just fixed the nails that were broken. All of my other nails had the polish chipping off at the tips/corners. Now, a week and a half after my initial fill, most of my polish is all chipped off with more broken nails. At this time I now have 4 coats of color and it STILL won't stay on. I have been coming here for over a year. I have always had exceptional work done. I have never requested a specific person, because everyone is so god. Until now. 3 out of the last 4 times I have been in I have had the young man who is now working there. And I have been disappointed everytime. He is not friendly, that is fine, but his quality is so far below everyone else. My nails are never filed evenly, the polish (dip and gel) is always bumpy, i don't know what he does differently but there is never the same shine when he does my nails. I don't want to call and schedule an a appointment and say "not with the man". And he keeps all his grinding tools in a little altoids tin that he keeps in his pocket. It looks super unsanitary. The salon is clean however the gel manicure I got lasted only three days before chipping. I went in to get the two nails fixed and was treated very rudely. The person who originally did my manicure and the person fixing my nails spoke Vietnamese the entire time to each other. The very next day a different nail chipped. One week out and four nails are chipped. I've gotten gel polish before and have never had this happen. I won't be back not only because of the poor quality but also because of the rudeness.
