The tasks were things like fixing misaligned closet doors, replacing torn mesh on a screen door, etc. At every step of the way I felt like I was dealing with a professional company. The service man was polite and helpful and completed the work in a timely manner. After the work was complete, they called to assess my satisfaction. I am surprised by the 1 star reviews, given the nature of the industry, I think some people are predisposed to be distrustful and have unrealistic expectations. The company provides a good service and is not just some guy with a tool belt and a truck. A Master's Hand provides handyman services in a professional manner. We talked about the job and scope, assessed how long it should take; the service man showed up, did the work, the work was done well, and I paid them. No issues, nothing to complain about, they did a great job.

The simple project we hired them to do turned into a total disaster…read more The project that should have taken 3 days took 6 weeks to complete and event then was horrible quality. Then they invoiced us for more than twice the cost of the original estimate even after they "took off" some charge for delay and poor communication When we had them out to for an estimate and spoke about the jobs and it was clear that we saw there could need to be additional work added to complete the job correctly once we got started, which should have been included in the estimate. Instead they added more charges later with no explanation. Also On the estimate they simply wrote "materials not included" and never discussed possible costs an then the the cost of materials was 2/3 more than the estimate for the actual work. This is completely duping customers with what their final cost will be! Customers understand there is a cost for materials, which they could include at least a rough number in the original estimate, but if material costs will be almost as much as the work they should include this in their estimate. This is a sneaky, dishonest business practice. Along with the high cost of our materials, we had to pay for every person that came to replace the previous person that did a terrible job. The first person tried to complete the job as a total amateur and ruined what they were meant to improve. Then 3 other workers tried unsuccessfully to complete the job and wasted time and materials to do a horrible, poor quality job, which then had to be corrected by consecutive workers. Finally after 6 weeks the job was completed by a single person in 2 days. Even after all these weeks and people we still have one thing that was working before they arrived and when they finished the left it completely unusable and we have to hire another company to fix what they ruined. By the end when we received the invoice we filed a complaint and they took off a nominal amount but never reconciled the horrible work, time, or inflated charged. If I could give negative stars I would! Do not hire this company!

Beautiful work from an engaged, friendly, and affordable contracting company…read more Geiner and Emilio from CR Tile & Painting are excellent, accurate, and reasonably inexpensive contractors. They accommodated my needs as a confused, nervous disabled first-time homeowner. "I've never owned a home before," is my mantra. I have cerebral palsy, which means I need ADA-compliant mobility aids in the bathroom and hallway. And bariatric, static-loadbearing fixtures that can withstand grueling daily use are hard enough for a chronically ill homeowner to find. But Geiner and Emilio found them, installed them, and adjusted everything to correct my mistakes throughout the renovation. They made my family very comfortable about the process from day one to the last. And they worked much harder than previous more expensive contractors did, without any of the problematic hidden "add-ons" other contractors tried to force on us. Once, they even rescued me from an extremely painful fall outside where no one else saw me stumble! And the work they did, from setting the tiles to hanging our family heirloom mirror to the very difficult sink-vanity? It all looked beautiful in the end. I highly recommend CR Tile & Painting to anyone who needs tile, painting, bathroom appliances, and subflooring repairs.

I made countless calls to handymen, drywall tradesmen, even general contractors, before I found Drywall Artists. Others would agree to the project, but not show... and some would decline the project outright, due to the overhead work required. Josh came to my home, scoped the job, provided a detailed (and written) quote, and we agreed on a price and start date. I had to wait a few weeks for his availability, but it was well worth it. Josh, and his team, arrived on time every day (at 7:30 am), of our project schedule! Now, at the time, I felt like "showing up" was half the battle... but it's not just Josh's work ethic that makes him valuable, it's his expertise (12+ years). The overhead work required a board brace, which Josh secured. I mis-measured the drywall I installed myself, which Josh corrected. The knee wall was not plumb due to settling, which Josh corrected. The door jamb was oval, but my door hardware was square, which Josh corrected. There's probably more stuff that went wrong that he didn't tell me about, and he just powered through! The bottom line is this... the guy is very, very, good. If you're luckily enough to get on his schedule, you should hold that date.
