Corners of the walls inside the closet.
    Stacey L.

I try to reserve Yelp reviews for only my most positive experiences with local businesses. Unfair reviews can really hurt a business's reputation, so I'm always willing to work out an issue directly with the company before posting anything negative. That being said, working with home contractors is a greasy business (even with the highest-ranked Yelp companies), and, at a certain point, you owe it to your community to speak up. The Wall Rebuilders are at the top of the organic search results for drywall repair in Denver, and I was quickly able to get an estimate appointment with Dan. He was prompt and provided me with an estimate that same afternoon. Sol, the office contact, was able to squeeze me in that same week for some hole patching from electrical upgrades and touch up work where some closet shelves had been removed. So far, so good! The drywall contractor was both timely and friendly, and I felt we were off to a good start. The were no issues until it was time to inspect the work. My walls don't have texture, so I do most of my own minor drywall repairs, and quality touch ups involve multiple stages: wall prep, filler/joint compound, sanding, repeat as needed. Call me naive, but I thought that I'd be left with smooth walls ready for priming and painting. Instead, the residual caulk on my walls from the shelves was left in place and large amounts of joint compound was simply applied over them. The corners of the closet walls also looked pretty rough, but I decided to keep my mouth shut because the simple act of sanding can perform small miracles. But here's the kicker: sanding down the compound is NOT part of their repair process. The best finish that can be achieved with a putty knife is your final result. All in all, the sheetrock hole repairs looked pretty good (sans the final sanding work), but the closet walls left much to be desired, and I'll let the photos speak for themselves. If you simply need rough and ready drywall work, then you won't be disappointed with this company, BUT, if you want a contractor that will take their time and perform the fussier finish work, than I suggest you keep looking. After communicating my issues with the office, they did send Dan back out to assess the situation that same afternoon. Unfortunately, he only used his flashlight to point out other flaws in my walls, so I guess that was the baseline for my repair work. He then said he wouldn't charge me for the job and abruptly stormed out of my house. It felt uncannily similar to confrontations I'd had with my teenage daughter. So if anyone has recommendations for an amazing drywall repair company, please send them my way!

Ran into these folks at a neighborhood event in the South Park Hill area, which was serendipitous, as I had a big ol' hole in my wall from a foundation leak. They were able to provide a competitive quote over email with a few pictures of the project. Their team is quite busy, so when I said yes, they needed to schedule out about a month. That said, they checked in ahead of the scheduled service day, showed up on time, and did an exceptional job. Painting is up to the homeowner, so be prepared to bust out the brush & roller. That, or call me and I'll come paint for you. $200 an hour, plus beer and supplies. Very happy with the price and the work.

We had a very odd-shaped loft space that needed new drywall installed. Of the three bids we received, Wall Rebuilders weren't the cheapest; in fact... they were the most expensive by far. Here's the thing, though: of the three we received estimates from, Wall Rebuilders were the only company willing to come out and do an in-person inspection prior to submitting the bid. The other two wrote their bid off photos we provided and, given how flat-out weird the shape of our loft is (odd angles requiring creative precision cuts, slanted walls, etc), we have no doubt that the actual cost would have come in much, much higher had they taken the time to get actual eyes on the job beforehand like Wall Rebuilders did. The job now being complete, we have zero regrets about going with Wall Rebuilders for our project. Both sets of teams (installers and finishers) were punctual, professional, and highly skilled. Lines of communication were great - any time they reached a portion of the job that needed our input, they would stop and take the time to talk it through with us and made sure they knew exactly what we wanted before proceeding. Their attention to detail is meticulous, and their ideas on how to tackle some of the more challenging aspects of the job translated to an awesome-looking final product. The capper was this: we had told all the teams that they could leave the plastic drop cloths in place once they were done since we were planning on painting afterward. They ended up removing/discarding all the dirty plastic that was covered in dust, etc and took the time to lay a fresh layer of plastic for us - taped down - at no extra charge before they left. These guys are the best. Again: not the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

The absolute best with plaster. I would never use a drywaller to work with plaster after working with the wall rebuilders.

We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

I have built a home and renovated 3, and I have not worked with a painting company as good as Harmony. They painted my exterior that was both siding and brick. I did a white and black modern scheme, and neighbors walk by and comment how great it looks. Carlos was the project director and Sergio the crew leader, and both were a pleasure to work with. They answered my questions, were respectful of my property, and came back 2 days later for touch up. The job site was always clean. I am already getting a quote for the to paint my kitchen cabinets!

HOWEVER- I arrived at the final walkthrough at the scheduled time, and they were still not done clearing out their supplies. This was okay and I assumed more work would be done. When I returned to my home later that day I was appalled. There was brown liquid spilled on the cabinets and floors, paint spilled on the floors, stairs & countertops, outlet covers missing (still not found), painter's tape still stuck to the walls & baseboards, and sunflower seeds littered across EVERY single floor in the house (including the in the carpet and the bathtub). I am shocked at the way the house was left and how sloppy this was. This was not the condition that it was supposed to be left in. I had a showing the next morning so had to spend over 3 hours cleaning it. I contacted the manager about it and received a $275 discount. They did offer to come back over and "take care of these items" but I had no time to let them come back so I had to take care of it myself. For how much I paid to for this to be done I expected way more from this company. I will not be using this company again.

Damien was great, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him. What stood out: Professionalism: He walked through his plans for the repair on the initial estimate visit, and described what he thought the culprit was. He was also honest about what might cause more problems down the road. He showed up at his stated arrival time every day, did an excellent job sealing the work area, containing dust, and cleaning up/tearing down each day so we could more easily live in our home. While here, he worked consistently without taking a lot of breaks or doing constant trips for supplies. Skill: I can barely tell where the repairs were done on my ceilings, which are white, and the texture match he achieved/blending job appear excellent to me. Conscientiousness: My wife and I were working from home during the repairs, and had our dog there for one of the three days Damien was working. He let us know when it would be loud, and was very gracious about working around some of the meetings and calls I had. Damien was also fun to talk to and is very well traveled. I would strongly encourage anyone needing drywall work to give this company a call.
