Spent hundreds of dollars and hours cleaning up Victor's mess and will need to replace several ruined items. I hired Victor to do drywall repair. He seemed great at first, then started work and didn't protect the floors until I asked, and the dust contamination that he promised to use was hanging half down when I stopped by leaving drywall dust on all the upholstery in the adjacent room. He offered to paint the drywall repair areas and that turned out to be a disaster. He got paint on EVERYTHING and didn't clean up. Trash was left everywhere, including a pile of drywall boxes in the window well. The laundry room sink was so completely covered with paint, it will have to be replaced. Things that were outside the work areas were found broken and shoved under the floating sink. Do not recommend unless you want to replace a lot and hire professional cleaners once he's done. read more

Victor seems like a respectful and hardworking person. Personally, I really liked him and I don't doubt he is a hard worker. However, here is the issue that i had with him: I called Victor for two half-wall removals. The half wall had some outlets, and I thought he knew what he was doing. You would think he would have some idea that you can't just cut cables, but to my surprise, he didn't. If he was knowledgeable in his job, then he would know that you can't do that and could of give me some advice that I needed an electrician. But I guess he knew as much as I knew, but the difference is that I don't do this stuff for a living. Plus, I wish I had watched some youtube videos first so I could have given him a warning or directions. However, this is something that he should of known not me. Anyways, he cut all the cables and proceeded to remove the wall. I paid him cash, and he left. I did not have electricity in my living room and half of the kitchen. Also, he throw all the debris in front of my house at the entrance, and I had to pick up everything myself. I assumed he would take that with him, but I was also wrong. Funny because I had another person that quoted me to remove the walls and take the debris for the same price. ( I attached a picture of the other person that quoted me) I ended up paying $500+ dollars to have an electrician fix it. He cut the cables so short that the electrician had to do magic to get my power back. Also, I didn't know but is a major violation to have capped wires inside walls. Every outlets needs to have a box for safety because is extremely dangerous. I wish I would of known. Anyways, I contacted him about the situation, and his response was, "I'm not an electrician," and that we would need to open everything again. I thought to myself, let me hire Victor to skim-coat my ceiling in my living room and in that way, he can come to and fix what he broke in the first place. To my surprise, he came in today and quoted me for the ceiling, and he wanted to charge me to patch the holes that the electrician had to make to fix the damage he caused. (Right in there I realized that he never ever thought about fixing the damage that was cause because of his lack of knowledge) I do not recommend him and wouldn't recommend him anywhere near a wall with outlets. Maybe he will learn his lesson with me, but I will not be hiring Victor for my ceilings or anything ever again. read more

His price for the work was very good considering I gathered a few estimates for the work. The only reason I'm not giving the full 5 stars is because we had to push the timing of the work after the original time he gave me came, and there was a bit of mess after the work. However that is the nature of drywall and finishing, it can get dusty and Victor cleaned up most of the mess. Victor is awesome ! I hired Victor to step in and take over from another person for some major drywall work. A pipe burst in the top floor of my house and flooded virtually the entire house, all the way to the basement. I lost walls/ceilings on multiple levels, and all drywall needed to be replaced. The first person I hired to replace sheetrock, tape/bed, and texture worked for 2 1/2 weeks and got very little done, and their work was pathetic. I fired them and brought in Victor to fix their mess. It took him three days to repair/replace the botched sheetrock, tape/bed everything, and then texture all walls and ceilings. DISCLAIMER: I am extremely picky. I worked in construction for years, and I know good work (and bad work) when I see it. Victor's work is amazing. As hard as I have tried, I cannot find the transitions between the old texture and the new texture -- he blended the seams so well they are invisible. And THAT is extremely hard to do. And all of the drywall work is perfect. I was amazed at what a good job he did. And the fact that he did it all BY HIMSELF in three days was amazing. He did more work (and infinitely better work) than the other guy did with two helpers, over the course of 2 1/2 weeks -- extremely impressive. OH, and on top of all of that, he did the job for half the price the other guy was charging me -- unbelievable ! After he was done, there were a couple of (very minor) touch-ups needed, and he came back immediately and fixed them perfectly. He is friendly, professional, and absolutely the best drywall guy I have ever worked with. So, to wrap this up: if you need drywall/texture work, I highly recommend that you hire Victor.
