Jose and his crew did a fantastic job painting my townhome, fencing and front door. I was so grateful to have Jose's expert knowledge and skills. Unexpectedly my fences needed to be rebuilt b/c carpenter ants were destroying them from the inside. He saved what he could and rebuilt what was needed. And the pricing for the unexpected work was reasonable. He and is team are professional, friendly, care about customer service and take pride in their work. I look forward to hiring them again for my future projects. read more

Questionable company! I had them out for a quote that included some woodwork around the house and stripping and re-staining my front door (which added $1,640 to the price). After shopping around we decided that we would go with JKP because the price was average with others (not the lowest and not the highest), but specifically because they would re-stain my front door. I had to send repeated messages to Jose to get any response back, he said his son injured his foot so he had to take his place for a while and was busy. I understood and was willing to be patient. I asked him for his warranty details and that we still wanted the door re-done but not the woodwork. After asking him to send that information and revise the quote to exclude the woodwork, include the door and include the premium paint and I would sign it then things started getting really sketchy with him. What really got under my skin is my revised quote. Everyone was quoting the exact same paint with varying warranties from 5 to 9 years, so I asked him what his warranty was and the answer is NONE and a side answer of "but if you have any chipping or anything I'll fix it for two years". First, that's not a warranty, it's just an attempt to make it sound like there is one that he came up with off the top of his head and instilled no confidence it would ever be honored, second we are buying premium paint that everyone else warranties for at least 5 years but the best you can do is 2? He kept saying "I prep real good so you don't need a warranty". Right, and I have some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you. Second, and without ANY warning, when I got the revised estimate he eliminated the door with a note in the email saying "we aren't staining right now". What had happened if I had signed and paid and he came out - did he intend to just walk away without doing the door? It was THE primary reason we decided on this company. To add insult to injury, because I had a premium paint (which EVERY other painter added about $400 for) he really jacked up the price because "it takes me longer to put that paint on". So even though he eliminated $1,640 of price, the new quote was less than $1,000 cheaper and this was after he had already quoted $450 as the additional cost of the premium paint, with no mention of extra labor to use it - meaning that with the premium paint and without any woodwork, the quote should have been about $1,200 cheaper. In summary, a squishy quote that changes on a whim with pricing that changes for no reason, a nonexistent warranty that he gives the impression he will never honor and terrible responsiveness pre-sale (I can only imagine this is far worse once your money is in his pocket). In retrospect, it's good that all this happened before I hired him since it's apparent that this project would have been very frustrating with this painter. read more

Had some pipes burst in our basement ruining a bunch of drywall and paint etc. Jose came out quickly with a quote which was reasonable compared with others. We accepted it and his crew started quickly. They did a great job with the insulation, drywall, texture, paint, and baseboards. It looks as if nothing happened. read more

My upstairs rooms were painted while I was traveling out of the country. We went over colors, timing of when the floors would be done and when I was coming back. It was an incredibly tight window, but everything came together as planned and on schedule. I couldn't be happier with the job! I will work them on any new projects! read more

Jose and his team did an amazing job! We asked them to come in and tear down chair rail and re-paint our soon to be nursery! We are beyond impressed with their work. I reached out to Jose on Monday and he was at my house Wednesday to do a consultation. He let me know that they were booked 6 weeks out but they may be able to squeeze us in because it was a smaller job. His team was there THE FOLLOWING MONDAY! Talk about timeliness!! He told us the project would take a day to a day and a half, they were done by 4pm! Truly, we were so impressed with Kumul Propainting and would recommend them to anyone! read more

I hired Jose and his team to drywall my 1,000 square foot basement in the spring of 2021. The end result was exceptional. Not only could I have not been more pleased with the outcome of the project, Jose and his group were terrific to work with. My drywall project presented unique challenges due to the irregular framing, but Jose figured it out and made it happen. I also had a delicate timeline to complete this project, and Jose and team literally worked around the clock to finish it expeditiously. I would not hesitate to recommend Kumul Pro Painting to my friends and family, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. They are, indeed, the hardest working contractors I have hired. read more

5 STARS!! Stellar and Impeccable are just two words to describe JKP Pros Painting Plus! The owner Jose takes time to listen to his clients. He works with you on your budget and puts forth top notch service on every project big or small. He is a polite, knowledgeable, hardworking business owner who provides his personal business phone number so you can contact him directly for any questions or concerns on your project when he is not at the worksite. His team arrives promptly early morning and preps each project with great detail. They are very considerate of your home and taking great care always. I needed my baluster's replaced and painted. The team spent a great amount of time prepping and sanding and very proactive about details to have the end result be top quality. There were no corners cut ever. My parents also used Jose to build out their basement and it's stunning! Fireplace, high ceilings, floating mantle, wall mounted gorgeous bar, carpet, paint etc.! He has refinished and stained my sisters three level patio pergola with beams. He has painted my ceiling and family room, bedrooms, removed wall paper etc. He has an excellent drywall team too! He has painted friends houses and always power washes and takes great detail to prep the house. He plan's everything down to the last detail. Always prepping the room and leaving my house immaculate. He had always come to check on his team and after the job is complete he will address any concerns immediately always with excellent customer service from beginning to end. Jose and team Very proactive, hardworking ... constantly moving. *Mr. Craig~ the review below... I don't think you realize the quality craftsmanship JKP gives. Staining and sanding a door takes skill and time.. not only to prep, and sand it and prep to stain and stain more than once. As easy as it seems to even just paint a door the right way takes more time than people realize. A wood stained door .. well this process can be an entire day depending on what needs to be done. If you want it done right and excellent craftsmanship that's what you get with JKP Pros. In addition, I'll just say Mr. Jose is always professional and is dedicated and hardworking providing top quality customer service and workmanship no matter how big or small the project. He has even dropped everything to go install a couple of handicapped railings for my elderly parents when my Father called and asked if he knew anyone that could help them. He offered immediately and actually didn't charge them because he built out their basement earlier in the year. That's the heart and soul of this company. #Truth read more

Wow, perfect experience! Kumul Painting and Jose did our entire house interior, plus kitchen cabinets. Jose was awesome every step of the way - communicative, clear in quoting, prompt with responses. Jose and his team did excellent work. They finished ahead of schedule and I was very satisfied with the finished product. Did a great job and took care of my concerns until it was correct. He doesn't leave until you are happy.

We hired Jose and his team, initially to remove popcorn ceiling in our newly purchased home. The quoted price was very fair and they knocked the job out in record time. As we were getting oriented in the new place and discovering countless other projects that needed doing, asap, I also learned about the wide range of remodeling skills Kumul ProPainting brought to the table. Jose has now quoted painting, reframing, bathroom remodel, demolition, drwyall repair and more. He's giving us real-time design advice to make the most of our space, and regularly checking on his crew's work, having them redo things that are not up to his exacting standards. We're fortunate to have found these guys and look forward to continuing to improve our home with them. read more

Jose did a small drywall project for us. He underbid the project, but didn't tell us until the project was complete that he needed to charge 200% more ($1200 vs $2400). The drywall craftsmanship was good (not exceptional), but disappointed by the overall experience and way the project cost was handled. read more

We had water damage after a pipe burst during the deep freeze - needed some drywall work and interior painting. Jose at Kumul ProPainting scheduled appointment same day I called and sent a fair, competitive bid later that night. Jose and crew got to work the next morning and completed the job in two days. These guys are 5-stars in every category: professionalism, fair pricing, quality of work, and customer service. Special shoutout to Eric for the clean paint job and his attention to detail. The next time you need work done in your home (they do A LOT more than paint), do yourself a favor and make Kumul ProPainting your first contact. read more
