I will spare you pictures of the "before" but believe me when I say it was horrific. Late last night I googled Stanley Steemer and the Winston Salem location came up. I got an online quote of $150 that would include one bedroom and one hallway. I scheduled an appointment for the very next day with an arrival window of 12-5:00. I called on the day of the appointment just to confirm. She was very polite, well spoken and helpful and we were all set. I opted in for texting and when they were on the way, I got a text with his GPS trackable location and name. Sawandi arrived around 1:00. He was all smiles and introduced himself. He came in, talked about what he would do and explained the after care instructions. He also said $150 is the minimum but there was enough room to add bacteria killing sanitizer and freshener. Yes please! I can't go in yet because it needs 24-48 hours to dry but it looks great and it smells clean, not even a hint of the previous odor. It smells light and fresh without being too perfumey. I took an after picture of a small section. I highly recommend this company and if you need anything done, ask for Sawandi Kirby. He was fantastic.

We got an alert Thursday night that our AC had been running more than 4 hours and the temp was increasing. We were scheduled to leave for the weekend the next day. Hawley Air had been recommended to us, so we decided to contact them to see if we could have them out on Friday before we left. I sent a text Thursday night and received a response Friday morning asking to call. I called and left a VM and got a call back shortly. The rep I spoke with was very friendly, got all our details and said dispatch would reach out to schedule. Jacob Gray and Steven Morgan were at our house within an hour. They worked quickly and efficiently, locating the issue on our HVAC, discussing our options, and fixing the problem. After fixing the issue they looked at every part of our system, both heating and AC, to ensure there were no other issues. They found nothing, and they ensured us we had a 30 day warranty on their work and review. I had a subscription set up with the previous company and we still got pushed to the bottom of their list when we had issues. I signed up for Hawley Air's subscription and they assured us that with their plan, we'll be moved to the top of the list if we have issues. I highly recommend Hawley Air if you're in need of a new HVAC company! I'm very impressed with everyone I spoke with and their prices were very reasonable!

Over time, this may have allowed fiberglass insulation to be pulled into the system and circulate through my home. During this period, members of my household experienced skin irritation and breathing discomfort, which led us to investigate further and pursue repairs. The extent of the issue was not immediately apparent. When I raised concerns, communication was limited. The work appeared incomplete, and some equipment was left behind. Although I was told the entire system had been cleaned, the main trunk line did not appear to have been accessed. Management indicated that the issues would be addressed and mentioned possible refunds for service and replacement of some affected items, but these were not ultimately provided. I also requested proof of liability insurance, but it was not provided to me. Whether that's a heart reading or dryer vent reading, both are potentially deadly. Dryer fires are the #1 cause of house fires today. From a convenience standpoint, blockages slow drying and leave clothes wet. I reached out to Ventbusters and off they went. We set up a time and they spent close to 2 hours removing all lint - they video the work so you can see before and after as well as what they took out! They also let me know there was an issue with the roof vent in our townhouse (and you really shouldn't vent to the roof unless you have to) which we will address. I cannot recommend them more and the flat rate option--so worth it and great peace of mind.
