Worst company I've ever worked with. To this day, they have never finished the job. I paid them in 8/2024, and it's still not done. I'm so tired of calling and texting. I have smoke rolling back into the house after every fire and they never fixed a thing. After 7-8 visits for 15-30 minutes each, they just ghosted us. They did half the install and left broken doors. I'm so disappointed and stressed by the mess they left behind. Edit: 3/15/25 - I wanted to show how the smoke was visible on the painted brick. This was painted after they left. Its smoky in the house with every fire. They were the ones that made this hood and attached it. Edit 9/11/25 After Jay saw this review he called my to make it right. He came out once and saw where the smoke was leaking. Nothing was ever fixed. I got the runaround non stop. He was a constant no show or day of cancelation blaming everyone else. Now I've hired an electrician and purchased my own chimney fan to fix his lousy work. I asked Cleaner Chimney to check if there is a liner in my 100 yr home's chimney. Tyler was right on time. He called me while he was on the roof to let me know there is a liner, and that the galvanized cap is in good shape. He also expressed concern that terracotta liners are prone to cracks and therefore the hazards of carbon monoxide leakage. Metal ones are safer. read more

Finally someone tried to figure out my leak issue. Jay went above and beyond to fix our leak issue. I thought the leak was coming from around our fabricated chimney but Jay found out that the leak was probably coming from around a vent. Instead of me having to call someone else to fix the problem, he went back on the roof and caulked around the vent. A Cleaner Chimney fitted a wood stove insert for me before Christmas, they did an excellent job on the install, they were very professional and friendly, and all was done in a very timely manner. As well as the impressive work, they even picked up the stove from Colfax for me and came back after the install to add additional metal to the face plate, as it was slightly too short for my fireplace opening. I called a few days ago, and spoke to Jay. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and was able to give me a quote on the phone. I scheduled an appointment, and had him come out. He was very professional. We had thought that the damper to our fireplace was missing, but he found it and reattached it for me. Then he told me where I could go locally to get a part for the damper myself, not trying to get me to purchase it from him at a markup. He recommended caps for my chimney, and also told me where I could get those myself too. He cleaned two flues as well as the pipe to our basement wood stove.
