For five consecutive years here on our modern homestead, we have used the services of Justin at Chimney Sweep Experts to clean our nearly 100 year old chimney and wood stove. From the first day we contacted Justin five years ago, he went above and beyond. Every interaction with Justin has been professional, prompt, thorough, respectful and honest. We know he has been honest because we heat our home with a wood stove and we have never had a chimney fire. Our chimney was built around 1930 and it does not have a chimney liner. We needed a professional that would go above and beyond because our family's well-being may have depended on his honesty. Each year we would call Justin to schedule an appointment and often times it was already autumn when we contacted him. Even when his schedule was booked up for a month out, it was well worth the wait. When the day & time of our appointment was near and the forecast was expecting rain, Justin made accommodations to clean our chimney a day early! Every year Justin would gladly answer any questions we had regarding our chimney, wood stove, or anything regarding burning wood for heat. Justin always inspected the chimney first, then cleaned the chimney from above on the rooftop and then from within the house, taking the stove pipes apart and vacuuming inside the pipes and chimney. Justin always left our home very clean and reminded us as he left that if we needed anything or had any questions to contact him. We truly felt like we were always a priority to him, even when we had to wait for an opening in his schedule. We find it unfortunate that we will be moving out of his service area after this year, since our homestead is being sold. It has been an absolute pleasure to hire Justin. He truly is an expert in every sense of the word. In the times in which we live, finding a real professional that is respectful and honest can be hard to come by. We truly believe that anyone hiring Justin at Chimney Sweep Experts will be very glad they did! read more

After reading reviews i decided to call them. Callback was a day later. No big deal. That's reasonable fast, especially during busy chimney time. Justin came out, did what he had to do, notice a problem in my chimney top and advised a solution. Basically if i didn't get if fixed the problem would have gotten worse. He was able to correct the problem with a 15 year guarantee on the fix. As far as the insert cleaning goes. No mess left in my house. Used a very high powered omg with a tarp. Pulled out pretty much everything inside the insert and commenced to cleaning it. Very happy with his job. Will use again next year. Very informative. Showed me before and after pictures. You can tell he is a young professional who understands what good service is all about. read more

I found chimney sweep experts on the yelp site, and took a chance, as I could find no reviews. The owner, a cheerful, energetic young man with a clean, well appointed van, ladders and tools, arrived earlier than the appointed time (he called first to make sure it was ok to arrive early), and proceeded to clean the chimney, vacuum the remaining soot and ash from the fireplace, thoroughly clean the glass folding doors on the fireplace, and vacuum and wash the floor where some minor soot remained. All in all a pleasant and painless experience for what can sometimes be a very messy job. He made recommendations for additions to the chimney, which we chose not to take. He was not a high pressure salesman, which I appreciate. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend this business highly. read more

The young man who did the work is also the owner of the company, and he obviously has pride in his business. Simple adjectives: prompt, courteous, friendly, professional, and efficient. Justin scheduled the sweep, arrived on time, took care of business, and even tolerated my yapping dog. Highly recommend. read more

Highly recommended! We bought our house 4 years ago and have yet to have our chimney serviced. Justin was so great, actually came by a bit earlier than scheduled but called me first to make sure that was ok. He was super quick, showed me how to use the chimney (which has apparently been open the whole time we've owned the house ). So excited to be able to finally use our fireplace!! Thanks again!!! read more

7/30/2020 Justin of Chimney Sweep Experts returned my message on the same day and was able to schedule my chimney sweeping for the next week. On the day of, he called to say he was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come out earlier than our appt time (which actually worked out perfectly for me). He worked efficiently and had my chimney thoroughly cleaned out from both the top and the bottom. I was disgusted by all of the hair and debris that came down -- see pic (I think I must have had squirrels/raccoons/rodents in the chimney at one point!) read more

Its been a little over a month since we had Chimney Sweep Experts (Justin) come out to fix a leak in our chimney. I wanted to make sure the problem was fixed before I wrote a review. Had a wonderful experience with Justin. He was able to do a total chimney sweep as well as fix some loose bricks and add seal up some mortar that had become degraded. He kept a clean and tidy work space and was highly engaging, answering all my questions. Additionally, after price comping the market, Justin was as competitive (if not cheaper) than anyone else around. Will definitely be using him in the future! read more

I had to call the chimney sweep experts to have my chimney cleaned for the first time in over 10 years. I was able to get an appointment with no problem. Justin came out on time and at the time we agreed on and was in and out within 1 hour. He is very professional and I can highly recommend Justin Sheffield (Master Sweep) with Chimney Sweep experts for all your chimney cleaning or maintenance. Also he was not covered in soot like the chimney sweeps in the classic movie Mary Poppins LOL. He is very respectful for your carpets and Wore protection on his shoes and covered the carpet with tarps. read more

Cannot rate them because they are booked solid and have no time to work with me. Forced to select a rating, I might as well give them 5 stars. Bring super busy is a good sign. read more

I highly recommend Chimney Sweep Experts. When I called to make the appointment, Justin called me back in less than 5 minutes. He was punctual, pleasant and did a great job. No fuss, no mess. read more

Justin is a great guy! It was a wonderful experience. I had no problem getting an appointment. He is professional and personable. He walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. He inspected and cleaned my wood burning fireplace. He repaired a crack I had in the bottom of the firebox for a very nominal fee. I had some damage to the siding outside my chimney. This is not something he could repair, but he did check it out for me and took pictures for me so I can see about opening a water damage claim with my insurance company. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Outstanding service. Contacted them to replace a chimney/chase cap on my son's fireplace. Justin came out promptly and gave me a fair quote. He removed the old, leaking cap and secured a tarp over the opening to keep rain out. He returned a week later with a custom-built cap and installed it professionally. A great job. Throughout, it was clear that he was committed to doin a quality job and making sure he satisfied the customer - me. read more

Justin was wonderful. He was quick to return call, polite, and knowledgeable. We had chimney swifts that had taken residence in our chimney and he explained the process of waiting for them to leave before he could come and remove the nests and clean out the chimney. The waiting took a couple of months for the birds to grown strong enough to take flight and they were loud. It all happened like Justin said it would. read more

From my first initial contact all the way through the end of the cleaning service was a wonderful experience. Our technician Justin was so polite with his introduction and all the way through. After his introduction he took a look around the wood stove and asked if I had any immediate questions. I didn't at the moment, I was kinda unprepared on my end lol. But he was on top of his game. He started with asking me a few necessary questions followed by informing me on the process of the cleaning. He started up top first on cleaning and inspection there. Once he had finished with that he put away the no longer needed equipment and informed me of his findings. I had a few questions there and he was great at answering them. Also giving me extra information. Then he started the process of cleaning and inspecting my wood stove area. Which I thought for sure would leave some kind of mess. There was so much nasty that poured from my chimney lol. Nope spic and span the area was. Also as far as the price point went, I do believe they were very fair and affordable. I must admit when I first called i did continue to call other companies. Some were way lower but only did half the job (no inspection) and others I just didn't like the feel I got over the phone. If I'm spending my money I want to feel like number 1 with your company. And I definitely got a great feeling and felt like I was making a secure decision choosing this company. I would most definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of having a chimney cleaned and inspected. read more

Justine did a great job. He cleaned and inspected the cap and swept out the chimney. Plus he sealed up the fireplace doors and some brick joints with refractory cement and put the damper in the right location (and took some photos for me). He also cleaned some of the outside brick. Justine is a friendly, knowledgeable guy and does a great job at a good price. read more
