From the first day we contacted Justin five years ago, he went above and beyond. Every interaction with Justin has been professional, prompt, thorough, respectful and honest. We know he has been honest because we heat our home with a wood stove and we have never had a chimney fire. Our chimney was built around 1930 and it does not have a chimney liner. We needed a professional that would go above and beyond because our family's well-being may have depended on his honesty. Each year we would call Justin to schedule an appointment and often times it was already autumn when we contacted him. Even when his schedule was booked up for a month out, it was well worth the wait. When the day & time of our appointment was near and the forecast was expecting rain, Justin made accommodations to clean our chimney a day early! Every year Justin would gladly answer any questions we had regarding our chimney, wood stove, or anything regarding burning wood for heat. Justin always inspected the chimney first, then cleaned the chimney from above on the rooftop and then from within the house, taking the stove pipes apart and vacuuming inside the pipes and chimney. Justin always left our home very clean and reminded us as he left that if we needed anything or had any questions to contact him. We truly felt like we were always a priority to him, even when we had to wait for an opening in his schedule. We find it unfortunate that we will be moving out of his service area after this year, since our homestead is being sold. It has been an absolute pleasure to hire Justin. Brand new (to us) home and a brand new dryer...what could possibly go wrong?…read more Lots! Our dryer tests airflow on a regular basis - it detected an 80% blockage. Whether that's a heart reading or dryer vent reading, both are potentially deadly. Dryer fires are the #1 cause of house fires today. From a convenience standpoint, blockages slow drying and leave clothes wet. I reached out to Ventbusters and off they went. We set up a time and they spent close to 2 hours removing all lint - they video the work so you can see before and after as well as what they took out! They also let me know there was an issue with the roof vent in our townhouse (and you really shouldn't vent to the roof unless you have to) which we will address. I cannot recommend them more and the flat rate option--so worth it and great peace of mind.

Duke…read moreEnergy has an EV charger prep program to get reimbursed for preparing your home or garage with said charger. They will reimburse up to $1,133. After extensively asking Duke all the questions to get this reimbursement, I asked for a list of contractors they have worked with. They gave me a list of 5+ electric companies. Go Green was the 3rd one I called and the only one that answered. Right away, they showed me elevated service. I explained the situation to them and they offered a free consultation to come check out my garage and give me an estimate for the EV charger installation. The very next week, Richie, the technician, came out and met with my husband to check out the space. The first estimate was a little more than what we wanted to spend (with one expensive part being the cost of the surge protector). My husband asked if we could provide the surge protector would Go Green supply the labor for installation. Richie said they could do that and also that he will come up with 5 different customizations of estimates based on different services and promotions. Richie left and within a few hours, the estimates were in my email inbox. I ended up choosing one of the mid-level ones and signed the invoice ocking in the price. Go Green had to order some parts so installation happened a little over 2 weeks later. Richie was the technician for installation too. It took him and his partner a little over 2 hours to install the charger. The city also needed to approve the charger so Richie said Go Green would handle the communication with them so they could come out. I did put in a request with him for a certain day and the city was able to accommodate. Once I received all my documents (the proof of EV registration, my paid invoice, and the approved permit), I applied for Duke's EV charger prep program. I was rejected about a week-ish later for not having an itemized invoice up to their standards. I immediately called Go Green and told them what happened and within the hour, they emailed me a new invoice which I re-submitted to Duke. Two weeks later, Duke emailed me approval for the program and two weeks after that, I received my check in the mail. This is a long review, but I wanted to explain the full process of working with Go Green to get approved for the EV charger prep program. I cannot recommend them enough. They are efficient and professional. I am extremely happy with their work!

In addition to doing good work quickly, the installation crew took care to keep the space clean during what could have been a massive mess. What set Groundhog apart from others became apparent when getting estimates---they were chill and did not use time-pressure sales tactics or information bombing with the intent to confuse. They explained the options, stated the price structure, and were candid with their responses when we circled back with questions about their quote vs the others.
