My elderly, large dog has not been well but she was getting better. Then things took a dark and smelly turn. I will spare you pictures of the "before" but believe me when I say it was horrific. Late last night I googled Stanley Steemer and the Winston Salem location came up. I got an online quote of $150 that would include one bedroom and one hallway. I scheduled an appointment for the very next day with an arrival window of 12-5:00. I called on the day of the appointment just to confirm. She was very polite, well spoken and helpful and we were all set. I opted in for texting and when they were on the way, I got a text with his GPS trackable location and name. Sawandi arrived around 1:00. He was all smiles and introduced himself. He came in, talked about what he would do and explained the after care instructions. He also said $150 is the minimum but there was enough room to add bacteria killing sanitizer and freshener. Yes please! I can't go in yet because it needs 24-48 hours to dry but it looks great and it smells clean, not even a hint of the previous odor. It smells light and fresh without being too perfumey. I took an after picture of a small section. I highly recommend this company and if you need anything done, ask for Sawandi Kirby. He was fantastic. read more

The next day I was contacted by Thomas Sharpe Director of Operations for Winston Salem. He apologized for the issue concerning my dryer and immediately began working to resolving my problem. Today an appliance repair technician arrived at my home and not only did he do a great job replacing the legs , but also made sure that the dryer and washer were leveled and aligned and that the bifold doors closed. Because of the time in which Mr. Sharpe addressed and resolved my problem I am happy to recommend them to family and friends. read more

DO NOT ALLOW STANLEY STEEMER TO RUIN YOUR CARPET!! I recently bought a home and decided to have the carpets cleaned, this home came with absolutely NO holes in the carpet. After having the carpet cleaned I noticed a hole near my front door, we had the Stanley Steemer employee (Alex was his name, I believe) come back out to take a picture to provide to his manager. I had to call Stanely Steemer MULTIPLE times over MULTIPLE days just to have the manager call me back (He provided his name being Patrick Smith). When he finally called back he blamed it on the previous owners of the house saying it was a cleaner they used which cause their cleaning machine to pull up some of the carpet. This man has NO CLUE what the previous owners of MY house have done. Either way the carpet was pulled up by THEIR machine. They are not a company that will not take responsibility for their faults. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. Save your carpet and take your money else where!! read more

I brought Stanley Steemer out to do my hardwood floors before we moved furniture into our new house. Let's start with the positive. The guys who came out were nice and did a good job. They were on time and the floors looked good afterwards. Here's my issue, and let me be clear that this is not an indictment against the two gentlemen who came out. I said on the online form that I wanted three rooms (kitchen, living room, and dining room) and a hallway cleaned. When the guys got here, they said the kitchen was going to be charged as two rooms because it was over 300 ft. (~340). If you measure the true width and length then yes, it is over 300, but the kitchen has islands, counters, refrigerator, and closet space that takes out enough space to go below 300 feet. After a lengthy conversation and near cancelling the entire purchase, we worked out a reasonable deal. My issue is that this should not have been the conversation it should have. And again, I don't blame the guys because they're going on what Stanley Steemer has told them to do, but there is far too much nickel and diming in the Stanley Steemer system (which the lead guy showed me) that just rubs me the wrong way. I will not be using them again. If you're in the Triad area, there are a number of locally owned carpet cleaning companies that charge much, much less and do a very good job. I attempted to call the office to discuss with Stanley Steemer and was not allowed to speak to anyone except the woman answering the phone. Her only response to me was that is what you are going to pay. The office has all of my information. If you want to provide me with your information I will call you but I will not call the office again and deal with the horrible customer service at the number available for this office!
