I receive a text message the evening before to remind me to put my clothes out by a specified time. 2. The communication with the owner is incredibly prompt and reliable. I care A LOT about my clothes- and I have always been able to call Perfectly Pressed with any questions or concerns about alterations, concerns with certain fabrics and repairs. Communication is key. 3. The ethos upheld by the owner- I feel like Mr. Rami cares about my clothing as much as I do, and I trust that my clothing is in very good hands- and I am very discerning when it comes to communication, professionalism and knowledge about how to handle high maintenance people like myself- I admit it- In these times, I think having pickup and delivery for dry cleaning is a luxury- the price points are fair, and you never end up talking with a robot. Happily, there is Perfectly Pressed. I came across this company just two years ago, and what a difference it's made in my life. The work, as the name suggests, is always perfect. And the owner, Rami, is completely professional and responsive. I use this company for linens as well as clothing, and love the fact that everything comes back beautifully folded or hung. I also love the billing process, which is very professional, complete with weekly receipts and monthly statements. Thank you, Rami, for making my life so easy!

    Real disappointment. I dropped off a velvet tunic for an under-the -arm repair. I explained to the…read moreclerk that it ripped because it was tighter on one side than the other, so I needed the repair to include an insert of velvet to counteract the tightness. The clerk spoke to the owner on the phone at length to determine the cost. I was told the owner would call me with the price. No call. Two weeks later I went to pick up the item, expecting that it would be completed, which it was. However, there was no additional fabric added to compensate for the tightness and the repair was so subpar, I could pull apart the seam. $39.87 later (I could have sworn the clerk said $29.87, but having now read these reviews I see I was charged extra for using a debit card. WTF?) Anyway. I could have repaired this on my own had I suspected the business would not follow through with my explanation of the issue. Wow. TERRIBLE (all caps, underlined, boldfaced) experience. Run - don't walk - do the nearest exit. The wedding dress in the window may be impressive but nothing else about this place is. Don't be fooled as I was.

This is a lucrative business, in a good location, within a well-to-do area of DC. In this day and age, it's ridiculous to penalize customers for not using cash, especially during a pandemic. 2. The manager (Suzy, older Asian woman) needs to think before speaking. She actually asked me if I was pregnant when I went to pay for my alteration (hemming pant/jeans leg, so there was no logical reason for this question). Excuse me? Only a very ill mannered or ignorant person would ask a customer this question when it wasn't relevant for the alteration requested. I laughed it off and joked about it a little because she'd already taken my garment and I wanted to leave as expediently as possible. And there's a huge difference between friendly banter and lack of social/conversational skills. I suggest that she learn to educate herself on the latter. There was really no excuse for this behavior. And incidentally, Suzy is neither "modelesque" nor thin, so who is she to judge on anyone's appearance? 3. I picked up my jeans (alteration/hemming service) on 10/11/22. They were 2.5" too long post hemming! I called and spoke with the manager (Suzy), who instructed me to bring the jeans back. I informed her that I would have to wait until 10/15/22. I brought my jeans back on 10/15/22, put them on again for pinning, only for Suzy to ask me if they were the same jeans. Are you freaking kidding me? So, rather than apologizing for the crap job on hemming, which Suzy should have done, she levels yet another insult at me! To add insult to injury, she also had the audacity to complain to me about other customers who left the store about 5 minutes ago. She wanted to charge a customer $18.00 for dry cleaning a scarf. Not my problem, but more to the point, Suzy should learn to shut her mouth and be grateful she gets any business given the rotten way she treats customers! And I would have walked out, but she needed to re-do the job with my jeans. And I was told to pick up my jeans on 10/22/22, no time given by Suzy. 3. Went to pick up my jeans on 10/22/22 at around 3:25 PM. Surprise, surprise--not there! I was told to check back at 5:00 PM or on Monday, 10/24/22. Stay away from this place! Suzy is one of the absolute rudest, disgusting person I've ever encountered in my life! So much for "community" oriented business! There are other options and I refuse to spend my money with a proprietor who treats me badly!
