Wow.... I was not expecting much out of this place, as I had never heard of their brews before. But noting that they won some recent GABF awards, I made the trip to Aurora to check them out. Definitely worth a trip. Not only do they have a great selection of micrbrews, but they have a full shop attached for brewing your own with bountiful ingredients. They had a fridge with various hops and some test tubes of different yeasts, and all the different malt pellets and various ingredients to make a unique brew. Try a sample platter, and they will serve you with their unique platter board shaped like a paddle. Oh, and they have a popcorn machine popping some tasty popcorn to enjoy with your sampling. I enjoyed their ship related beer names as well. My nephew and I shared two platters so we could sample all they were pouring that day, my thoughts below: * Breakwater Pale - very good, very drinkable, one of my favs * UBoat Hefe - standard Hefe and banana flavor * HMS Bounty Old Ale - strong ale not my fav * HMS Victory ESB - liked it, very smooth * USS Enterprise IPA - good/solid IPA * German Helles - good / light / little fruity * Seven Seas Double IPA - very good * Bills Milk Stout on nitro - light and milky /frothy.... loved it. * URCA Vanilla Porter - very tasty.... if you like vanilla, you will enjoy this one * Bismarck AltBier - good / drinkable * Waltz Frambozen - Too raspberry for me * Paragon Apricot Blonde - very fruity if you like apricot/peach, you will like this one. read more

Dry Dock provided free beers at the Yelp Harvest Hoopla event yesterday and I was so surprised by how tasty their apricot blonde beer was! It had apricot puree in it and had 5.1% alcohol/volume. It was so light and refreshing and had a really pretty design. I am not a huge beer drinker but I definitely enjoyed that beer and look forward to trying more of their beers! read more

Great beers! My favorite is their Apricot Blonde, and their seasonal Half Moon Pumpkin Ale is delish as well. They do win awards so make sure to come out and taste their brews. Love how much this place has grown over the years as there are good reasons. Great beer, great beer lovers, and great service. Also, thank God something in my hood since not much out here in the burbs and I love a good locally owned business. This place usually has a decent sized crowd since it isn't just a brewery to the locals it is also a good watering hole. They do not serve food here...unless you sustain on popcorn, but if you don't no worries, you can bring a bite in from one of the many local resturants (Gyro King is in the same plaza - just sayin'), or you can have your vittles delivered. read more

Was here during the Great American Beer Festival. They had a few special brews for this occasion. They released a different one each day for the event. The flight of 6 3 ounce tastings is $8. The double vanilla porter was pure chocolatey goodness. The blonde apricot was smooth and refreshing. They had many sours available but they were out of their stouts when we dropped by. The plaza has food places in case you were hungry but the brewery only has popcorn. I recommend the gyro place at the end. The service was fine. read more

You don't even need to leave your seat to grab another beer at the bar because they are constantly walking around ensuring everyone's glass is full! Really good fruity/lighter beers. I'm not much of an IPA, Dark Beer, Stout, whatever kinda guy. I like my lagers, pilsners, sours, and strong flavors. Dry dock has the best fruit beers I've had, both here and in my hometown Chicago. They had a real good lime one in the summer and the apricot sour is bangin' too. The staff seems very nice and welcoming. They were safe and clean went we went a while ago. I really like this spot and hope to visit again post-Covid! read more

I come to dry dock about once a month or every two months for trivia night with my moms group. It's a lot of fun. There's usually a food truck or you can order for the few nearby places as well. The popcorn machine and beer usually suits us just fine. The beer is good, service is hit or miss on a Wednesday night and you never want to sit in the front section if you want to hear the trivia. read more

FAIL! Who the heck charges $26 for a 64 oz growler?? Dry Dock, that's who. My wife and I have been loyal patrons here for 6 years. The last time (early spring) that I refilled a growler with IPA it was $14. Today, I asked my wife to stop by and refill a couple 64 oz growlers on her way home. She loaded up our empties and when she got home, told me "these were $26 EACH!" I was sure she was mistaken, so I called Dry Dock South and asked what a 64 ounce growler refill cost. I was told "ahh, somewhere around $25". When I questioned the guy, he said, "yeah, our prices have gone up." Ya Think??? I was floored! I can (though I no longer will) buy a 6 pack of most any of their beers for $9.99 tops at Safeway or most any liquor store. Simple math tells me that 6 x 12 = 72. So that makes it $10 for 72 ounces. Yet they are charging 2 1/2 times that for 8 ounces less than a 6 pack?? Give me a break. You guys have lost not only your mind, but a loyal customer who (used to) happily spend hundreds of dollars per year at your place. Good luck with those price increases... read more

Nice space and good beer. I came here after visiting The Brew Hut next door. I have had some of Dry Dock's beer in the past, but this was the first time in the brewery itself. It was not busy, but it was mid afternoon on a weekday. I sampled the hazy IPA and then ordered Hop Abomination. The IPA was good, but the hazy had a slight apricot flavor that seemed out of place. I asked the beertender about it, but she told me emphatically that she gave me the right beer and didn't seem interested in any further conversation about it. I was actually surprised by her response, but maybe she was more interested in her book. I really enjoyed the barrels in the tasting room and the space was large, with a connection to the brew shop. I am sure this is a popular spot for locals and they all seemed pretty content. As someone who often travels just to visit different breweries, this one will not be one I plan to revisit. I admit I may have a completely different experience if I was to come again and I know the beer is good, but the first impression did not impress. read more

This is one of our first favorite beers we came across when we moved to Colorado. I got a flight of beer so I could try a few others and they were pretty good. Not a fan of the whiskey sour beer, but that just be because I'm not too familiar with that kind of beer so it could be me. Not sure if these guys were understaffed but the service was slow and tough to get service at the bar. Maybe we put so much high expectations on the brewery since we are such big fans of their Apricot beer, but it was a dirty establishment. Popcorn on the floor, dirty bar, tables were messy. Good beer, but not the best environment. However, I will say the brewery is pretty big, which is nice so there is a place to sit. read more

There is something for everyone here with lite beers to more unique beers. I always get a different beer every time I'm here and I'm happily surprised. I really enjoy their apricot blonde and have found that as a go-to at many restaurants that carry Dry Dock. The service has been great every time I'm here. A waiter will stop by and take your order or you can stop at the front to grab your own. I also really enjoy the old fashioned style popcorn machine. There is a really big and really stupid guy that works here with absolutely no personality- he was our first encounter. Then a really great personable guy with curly hair came over to assist, maybe he observed the tension between us. At any rate, the 'hazy brew' is amazing- I had two. Dry Dock is pretty great. Their beers come and go in my favor as the seasons and stock changes. Some aren't really up my alley even though they may be quite excellent brews. I'm sure they're still great. Now is dark beer season. Sure there's Christmas music and decorations and Santa for my kids, but for me, dark beer season is equally as much to celebrate, and if you like them too, you should check out Dry Dock. Right. Now. We cruised past on the way home from the movies this weekend. We'd forgotten that we lived so close until we saw it, so we went to the house to grab a couple of empty growlers, and headed back over to fill them up. I grabbed three. That normally would've been good, but what a mistake on my part! So. Many. Dark. Beers. Yaaaaas. They also had a several flavorful fruity beers out too for my better half who doesn't like to drink malty chocolate and toffee notes. If you also have one of those, you should bring here too. And like 6 growlers if you're planning on camping out for a four day holiday weekend too. Just to be clear, I love Dry Dock as a place and a quality brewery. Sometimes, some of their brews in the past have been sort of underwhelming. They seem to be getting better to me as time goes though, so 4 stars is a working its way upwards for sure. read more

This is my absolute favorite brewery. Not only because it's local (right down the street from me ;) ) but their beer is awesome! They are always coming out with new flavors. Last time I had a pineapple mango blonde. Similar to the apricot, which is a favorite. My absolute favorite is the sour apricot, if you like sours it's a hit! They also have some hard seltzers, the mango one is actually pretty good! Also they have turned the parking lot to expand their outdoor seating. Tables are social distanced and it is all covered. Everyone must wear a mask inside and even the bathrooms are socially distanced. I applaud Dry Dock for adjusting to the pandemic. Keep up the great work because I love coming here :) read more

Had a great time at Dry Dock Brewing. I had the Apricot Sour which was delicious! I also tried the Blonde which was also really tasty! It's a decent size brewery with both inside and outside seating. There wasn't any real food there but they do have popcorn you can help yourself to. They also have a whole beer tasting/making classroom. Will definitely be coming back here again! read more

Dry dock, over the years, has gone through 3 phases in my mind. At first, it was amazing. 5-star quality beer. The different flavors were interesting, made sense, and were crazy delicious. For a time, I exclusively bought dry dock for my beer needs because it was local, super high quality, and there was interesting variety. Not too long after, maybe a year to a few years later, the quality dropped dramatically. All of a sudden, the beer was average quality, maybe a little above average. The flavor offerings didn't change, so it was really weird and disappointing. That lasted for a while, but then a third phase. The beer is just average at best. Still interesting flavors and such, but who cares when the quality has dropped so much when compared to the beginning. I never get dry dock beer anymore. But everytime I see dry dock brewing, I remember the good times and get sad that those times have been left in the past. I wouldn't waste my time on dry dock beer today when there are so many better choices out there. Craft beer has become very competitive, and it's too much for where dry dock is at these days. read more

Quality craft brews with a good variety of IPA's and close-to-Belgian flavors. Nice atmosphere whether you want to relax at a table with friends and bring in food and sip brews, sit by the fire and unwind, or even play a game of shuffleboard. They have a great sized shuffleboard and you can play free but the negative is that it is coated with some sort of gloss and forces the pucks to slide too much and creates an inaccurate push nearly every time- still it's nice they have one. Cool place. Friendly staff. They also close very early even on weekends but I guess that's just how microbreweries are in Colorado. Wish that were different. read more

My favorite craft beer tastewise! Last time I went there I ordered a flight and I liked every single one and believe me, sometimes palate is very picky. The place is great, they have free popcorns, a big room (but it can get packed so there isn't enough space) and they have many board games as well as $1.50 shuttle board. It's great for big groups. The brewery is connected to a store where you can buy stuff to make your own wine or beer (not for me, it looks very complicated). They host many fun events so check their calendar! In my opinion, the only thing that can improve is the service which is slow (I get it, they can be super busy) and sometimes the waitress kinda forget you are there, and cleaness (popcorns on the floor everywhere). read more

I really love beer. Really. The ball-n-chain and I were willing to drive all the way to Aurora for a sample of the good stuff. When you live downtown, this is a trek. Sweet, holy beer. This place is the winner of several awards at the GABF. Yeah home team! I really liked the Mouettes Joignastes Saison, boy did I like it. Then the ball-n-chain pointed out the 7.9 alcohol content. Holy smokes I was a happy girl at two in the afternoon! He had the Urca Vanilla Porter which although was a gold medal winner last year was a little heavy on the vanilla for him. I know it is in the name and all but, you know. The Half Moon Pumpkin Ale was like a little slice of pie in a glass. Not overly sweet but perfectly seasoned. Service was lame really, we were sitting AT THE BAR and had to walk to the other end of the bar to even get the keeps attention. Eye contact! Eye contact! Harrumph. A welcome from anyone of the five people at the bar when we walked in wouldn't have sucked either. Or a thanks and goodbye when we left would have been nice as well. Never would I have suspected a wonderful brewery like Dry Dock located in a unremarkable looking strip mall. But I love Dry Dock and it somehow adds to their personality. I've been a few times since it's so close to home so really there's no excuse why I've only been a few times. The beer is wonderful, if you go, you have to try their Apricot Blonde, the beer that made them big. I'm also a fan of their IPA's and just had their Half Moon Pumpkin which was a delightful way to celebrate fall. While they don't serve food, you can go next door to the Gyro King and bring in a gyro, get some wings at the Wing Hut or order a pizza, it's all good. If you forgot and are strapped on cash, they have endless popcorn full of buttery salty goodness to keep you drinking more beer! And it works because I keep coming back for more, way to go Dry Dock! Next time I heard I must try the Ala Mode---their Imperial Pumpkin plus Vanilla Porter, hello lover! And to end, their staff is awesome. This past week we were enjoying a beer on a Thursday night and two girls (I would say ladies but they weren't) came in sloshed. Like so bad that they somehow drove to Dry Dock, fell in the parking lot and tried to get served. The staff kept on eye on them, gave them water and stopped them before they left. We arrived a little after they opened and I was surprised at how packed this place was. It felt very scattered and helter skeltor and a bit chaotic. I'm not sure if it was because the layout or the day but it was hard for me to feel really comfortable and relaxed. Apricot Blonde is the beer I find around town on tap at various bars so I made it a point to try several of their others. I know people feel this place is amazing but the beers just didn't do it for me. There was nothing that really stood out but there were a few that just didn't work. Beer is subjective but compared to some of the other breweries in the area, I felt (for my taste) this place fell a bit short. read more

Really enjoyed the casual vibes of this Brewery. It's a tad loud but there are plenty of TV screens to watch games. Of all the Breweries I visited, the Vanilla Porter was the best I tasted out of about 30 samples over a 3 day visit in Denver. The staff are informal and very helpful. The Dry Dock, how do I love thee...? The brewery itself is well laid out, with a small patio for beautiful days. Inside is decorated in a nautical theme, but is more brewery, less yacht club. The beer they create here is phenomenal, and the barley wine is one of my favorites. They have canned beer and growlers available if you want to take some for the road. There is no kitchen, but they have menus for delivery, and free popcorn. They will keep the water flowing, and brew a root beer if you are into that kind of thing. The Dry Dock is also connected to the Brew Hut, for all your brewing needs. read more
