As the Father of the Bride, Lionscrest Manor was money well spent. Shannon and Emily and their team were FANTASTIC. The venue was spotless, the view was beautiful. They were very personable, and the place was family friendly. We had 90 people in attendance. With no impact on the 5 star rating, in hindsight, I would cap the number of 9 person tables at perhaps 8. This would give more people an unobstructed view of the bride and groom (2 large stanchions) as well as create a larger dance floor area. But, when the bride gets 90 yes RSVPs, what's a Dad gonna do? Elsewhere on site, more than enough space for people to mingle, drink at the well situated bar area, and play lawn games. I totally recommend this venue. read more

Gorgeous! Located on the top of a hill in Lyons, the mountain views, from their garden or their ballroom, are breathtaking! A converted residence, they added on a huge ballroom, and an area for mingling with a bar for the caterers to work from. There is plenty of room for the bride to prepare with a jetted tub if you need some last minute pampering. The guys get the short end of the stick, but guys aren't too big on priming. Well, not usually the marrying type anyway. You get an event coordinator to help everything along, though you don't get to pick the gal you'd like. We had a good rapport with one gal but they refused to let her be our event coordinator. They didn't do a great job of letting us know when to expect the coordinator to be coordinating. When some things were not happening that ought to have been happening, we found our coordinator watching an Avalanche game in the kitchen. It was a bit annoying. However, she did a seamless job of relocating our garden wedding inside when it began to snow and rain. Be sure to read your bill carefully and ask for clarification. They used codes for table cloths so they were uninterpretable to those not in the know (buffet table became something like C4392). They also plain old didn't bill some things right. Going over the bill revealed about $600 in overcharges, so be sure to pay close attention. They remedied the situation when we pointed it out. read more

We toured ONE venue (after extensive online research) and booked it the next day, even though we still had 16 months til the wedding - and that venue was Lionscrest Manor. Not once during the entire process, from first tour to our final send off on the big day - did we regret our choice. These ladies (Leona and her 4 daughters, so cool that it is a family-run venue) have wedding planning down to a science, but in such a personalized way - the whole time you feel like your wedding is the only one that matters. The Colorado Inclusive package is a great deal (especially in the off-season like we booked) and the vendors they suggest really ARE the best of the best. Their preferred vendors all know each other so well and once you book Lionscrest you feel like you are in on a wonderful secret because half of the work is done for you. If you are BIG planners like us, Lionscrest is perfect because they care so much about the little things, coordination, etc. But even if you're not, they can take what you give them and help fill in the gaps. The "details meeting", about 6 weeks out from the wedding, went over everything from decor to where to have the group photo to who will take home the gifts/extra cake - EVERYTHING is covered in just an hour and an half and you know your day is in good hands. Shannon was our rehearsal/wedding-day coordinator and asked all the right questions, and kept us on track by checking in with us throughout the day without overwhelming us at all. We have received countless compliments from our guests about the beauty of the manor, the coordination of the day, and the fun that was had - all of this starts with the venue choice. If we HAD to nitpick about one thing, the ballroom as-is could use a tad more color (it is elegant, but some might say overly sterile/white), but you can easily add decor upgrades like we did that enhanced the feel (and our pictures turned out amazing). Our daughter's wedding at Lioncrest Manor was perfect - and went off without a single hitch or complication, in large part due to the experienced staff who seemed to anticipate everything. When we first went to check it out, the owner of the venue (who has coordinated literally hundreds of weddings over 28 years) calmed our nervous kids right down with her sensible no-nonsense practicality. Then we toured the GORGEOUS venue - it has everything you want, including a spacious lovely outdoor lawn with trees and mountain vistas for an outdoor ceremony. We really liked that you can get a "wedding package" with optional add-ons like a menu - we got just what we wanted and didn't have to pay for anything beyond that. The day of the wedding, staff kept everything flowing smoothly. Nothing went wrong, because they headed everything off ahead of time. The staff were so nice, so helpful. This place was absolutely beautiful!! My cousin got married here this past weekend and this venue was perfect. The landscaping is so nice outside, there were so many nice places to take pictures. There are lots of beautiful mountain views from all around the property. This place is clearly taken care of very nicely. There was also a nice dining reception area inside. read more

Lionscrest was absolutely beautiful the day of our wedding. It sits at the top of a small mountain so the views are spectacular. Our outdoor ceremony was great just before the sun set. The reception was held indoors and accommodated all of our 162 guest on both levels very comfortably. More exceptional than the location of the venue, was the quality of service that we received the months leading up to the wedding and wedding night itself. Tatiana was more than amazing, taking care of all the intricate details without a hitch. Many of our guests noticed how great she was at taking care of everything and we were very glad that she was there. Even before the day, we were in constant contact with Lionscrest staff both through email and over the phone. My sweet husband and I got married at Lionscrest this weekend and had the most wonderful experience. It's located in Lyons, CO and has STUNNING views plus BEAUTIFUL ceremony and reception areas. We went with the venue only package which was the perfect option because we wanted to use our own caterer and bring our own liquor. If you do this, you have to use the At Your Service Event Management company (https://www.facebook.com/AtYourServiceEventManagement/) but it was worth every penny as they made my life so easier and more on the big day. When we were looking for venues, I didn't realize they rarely include the tables, linens, plates, silverware, and chairs into the price (which is ABSURD in my opinion - I need more than a room and a field to get married in). Even with the venue only package, Lionscrest included all of those things so we didn't have to worry about any of it. They have a TON of linen colors to choose from and they will let you get as creative as you want! I had 40,000 questions and they were always answered and addressed. We had some special requests such as using our own archway, special decor, alternating color linens etc. and everything was accommodated. Ever since we booked the Lionscrest, every single person at the venue was amazing, helpful, sweet, communicative, thoughtful, and overall lovely. On the big day, Emily was our coordinator from the venue and I could not be more thankful for her and everything she did for us. Between her and Jim from At Your Service, everything was absolute perfection and everything we needed and hoped for. My daughter had her wedding there this week, and everything about Lionscrest is amazing. We were able to have the wedding outdoors (absolutely gorgeous) but had the weather not cooperated, the indoor option would have been great as well. Very few places would be able to so seamlessly respond to the weather had it been required. The staff was amazing. Tatiana was super supportive, made her wealth of experience available but was always respectful to make sure everyone was in agreement on how everything should go. We had our wedding here in 2009 and I can't recommend it enough! The location is unique, up a small and winding dirt path and the meadow for the ceremony is gorgeous with a view of red rock and Long's Peak in the distance. The outdoor balcony was a perfect perch for our strong trio and we loved that the bar area is partitioned from the ballroom for maximum impact/"big reveal" when guests are seated for dinner. The staff themselves make Lionscrest an amazing place to get married with as little stress as is possible. They have already scoped out and help a couple determine the best florist, caterer, photographer, etc for your big day. All vendors are not only professional and kind, but used to working with one another on weddings and collaborate well. We hired a day of coordinator and probably could have gotten away without due to the staff members' and vendors' attention to detail. The only change I would make would be for venue to offer more decor options. The fact that the venue is very white/plain/elegant/understated makes it a great canvas for any event, buy at the same time it can be very stark. We brought in tons of florals and custom banners as well as some other small touches like a Gobo for the dance floor, but I would have loved to have seen some options for uplighting or some other ideas for the space itself. Overall a unique and gorgeous space that our guest are still commenting about 2 years later. If you are looking at Lionscrest, be sure to plan at least a year and a half out for summer dates as they book quickly! read more

Our daughter got married at Lionscrest Sunday, September 10. It was such a beautiful venue and everybody had a fabulous time. As 90% of the wedding party and guests were from out of state this was extremely convenient having it all-inclusive. We worked with Emily who is terrific and as mother of the bride once things started moving she was on top of everything and I never had to ask any questions. Everything worked like clockwork. We had the guests stay at the Hampton Inn in gunbarrel and used green ride for shuttle servicing. I worked with Grace Alexander for that and we had 80+ guests using the shuttle service.we checked the various shuttle services and by far I think this was the best deal. You want to get married here!!!! I got married here in August and it was perfect! The staff is so easy to work with. They bent over backwards to accommodate all of my needs. The views are breath taking. 90% of my guest were from out of state so they got to enjoy Colorado's beauty here at this amazing venue. The vendors that Lionscrest work with are all amazing! I've been married for almost 2 months and people are still talking about how gorgeous the venue is, how awesome the photographers were, the cake was to die for ( I had 2 pieces that night and another 2 the day after - it truly was that amazing) and the caterer food was better than my rehearsal dinner! I really liked that I didn't have to hire a day planner as Lionscrest did a fantastic job of being the day planner making sure everything was stress free and it was just that - stress free. read more

Beautiful setting fantastic view!! But if you want a ride of your life go crazy and get a bus to go up and down the hill. The staff is snooty and rather turn a quick dollar then ensure the safety of people riding a bus on a muddy roads. Their answer is buses have been coming up and down the mountain for 20 years. Well those are beater buses and former school buses. This facility should invest in paving it's road and making it safe for all going up and down. One lane traffic is the weakest point of this venue. Minus one star because I wanted to "check in on Yelp" and it wouldn't let me. Maybe because it was out in the boonies and the signal wasn't good. Anyhow, this was a great place. What a wonderful choice for a wedding or special occasion. The wedding ceremony looked out into the mountains. You can see Long's peak from the balcony. There was plenty of space and parking was easy. At sunset, this place is very romantic. Simple layout and decor, but elegant. At first you think you are lost trying to get here, but you aren't :) The town of Lyons looked awesome and I would have loved to spend more time there. Lionscrest is a Beautiful venue in a location that's far enough away to feel special but close enough not to be burdensome. The staff is very helpful and leaves you with Zero to worry about on your wedding day. Only 3 stars for Cost & Communication. The cost, though competetive, would have been out of our price range had we not used one of their promotion months. I would have regretted paying full price, but thankfully that was not the case. Their communication wasn't as complete, especially when going from verbal agreements to written contracts, would have appreciated more in depth explanations. read more

I just got married at Lionscrest, and it was really amazing, especially for an out of town couple! Everything in their all inclusive package worked out very well, including the catering, dj, and flowers. Tatianna was the best person for the actual wedding day. Like most wedding packages, they will nickel and dime you for any additions to the wedding. I didn't realize how much more I would want outside of the inclusive package until I had already signed up for it. I had a great time at my wedding and it was really beautiful, so I can't ask for more from Lionscrest! read more
