CONs: -- The parking area isn't paved; in fact it isn't even really gravel. That being said it was a muddy mess to navigate. My Tori Birch flats are still caked with mud. -- The men's restroom is on the main floor of the space while the women's is upstairs. Just a weird layout to me. -- The space the ceremony/reception was held in was quite cold. Even with light blankets and an infrared heater running throughout most of the event! I'm not sure what other offerings McC Ranch has to offer, but I can say it's easily and "A-OK" wedding venue.

In addition, I had the pleasure to work with an excellent and knowledgeable employee, Audrey Urie, who catered to my every request.R I had many detailed conversations with Audrey in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She was knowledgeable about all the rental products, gave me an idea of how many items to order with regard to glassware, dishes, utensils, was patient and accommodating in addressing each of my questions or concerns, made a site plan for all the vendors to follow, and modified the rental order many times along the way with a "can do" and "no problem" attitude. The 40 x 80 foot tent and 20 x 20 foot canopy were well structured and put together by a great crew of guys. The supervisor, Michael, was very friendly and willing to do whatever we wanted to satisfy our requests. He was meticulous in placing the correct amount of chairs in each row, according to our ceremony scheme. He placed all the tables, bar, wedding arch, canopy, string lights, vinyl and hardwood flooring, and aisle underlayment according to the site plan and lined everything up so it was visually appealing. He came back the morning of the wedding to put the chairs up and dust them for the guests. Thanks to RC Special Events we were able to build a first class wedding and reception venue on a working horse ranch. It took a lot of work on many people's parts, but the rentals were a crucial component to the success of the wedding and enjoyment of our guests. I would recommend them highly for special events and celebrations.

Registering for a painting time was very easy and convenient. We knew in advance so i was able to book online. You can see what paintings that they will be doing on different days and different times. So simple! They send you a couple of reminder emails prior to your event. There are no refunds so just be sure you are solid about going ;) You can checkin up to 30 minutes prior to your paint time. This would be recommended. So you have time to settle in. Check out what you will be painting, maybe get some beverages. They have alcoholic and non alcoholic choices. Also some choices of like chips for food. Not sure what else there was. I had hot herbal lemon tea. Very tasty and a large glass of water. My husband got some wine. Your spot is clearly labeled on the table so if you are meeting others there be sure to note that in your reservation so you are seated together. Upon arrival, you check in with the person standing near the front door. They have your canvas, paints and paintbrushes already set up. They start the class on time so be sure to get there a little early. The atmosphere is relaxed. They do walk back and forth to show you what they are doing and the teacher is mic'd so hopefully everyone can hear what they are saying. The location was clean. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would come back for a date night or with a group. Prices were fair for a night out.

The biggest complaint was that the vodka/cranberries tasted like straight cranberry. After a few of our old-fashioned's , we thought that they seemed pretty weak. I asked for two straight glasses of Jameson. I poured one into my wife's old fashioned to make it taste better and then I started to drink my straight drink. I took one sip and realized that it was ice tea. They literally were putting iced tea into our drinks. The Jameson bottle had ice tea in it. The bartender argued for a few minutes than admitted that they fill the bottles with other things and put them on the shelf for "display" purposes. I made her open a fresh bottle and pour us new drinks. This was after they threatened the brides father with a $750 dollar fine per person if they brought any of their own alcohol onto the premise. My suggestion would be to just drink draft beer and canned drinks. These guys are ripping people off and admitted to it. I would love for.these guys to reach out and argue this one because they have been caught.

It drizzled on and off throughout the event, but the staff was incredibly on top of it, wiping down chairs the moment they got wet and making sure everything stayed dry. What a wonderful place to board horses! 10/10…read more Vanessa and Janice run a beautiful boarding and training facility. They specialize in western riding. specifically more western performance. They are caring, talented horse women. There is never an additional fee for blanketing, with a change in weather in Colorado. And they have a tight ship with immunizations and worming schedule that they adhere to for Horse herd health protocols. They are kind and gentle, yet firm and reassuring with their horse training, they honor all the horses, including the retired horses that no longer can perform a full day of work. They have a large outdoor arena that is sandy and has good drainage even in the winter. They keep it tilled up for a good footing. They have a smaller forward facing arena that is good, particularly for training and for lessons. They have particular talents for training, young riders for building confidence, and skills. They have runs paddocks, both shared and separate . Never was there a day that I saw that they didn't have water, and they always adhered to feeding schedules. The horses here are well fed and very well cared, for you will not see any ribs or uncared for horses here. They make sure that their horses have medication's that they need. No injuries reported and all the time that I spent with them they double check their horses every day and make sure that they're happy and healthy. I can't say enough good words about them! They lead with love and compassion in everything they do!
