The tables were beautifully set and the food at both occasion was really good with vegan and gluten free options available. But of course lots of other things as well. The facility is of course beautiful and they offer wonderful shows there. Or do when they are not shut down. This was the first show i have been to post covid. They have the first 6 rows blocked off so no one can sit in those. And then you have a row that people can sit in and then 3 rows skipped and then another row people can sit in. Basically looks like around 100 to 120 people can attend a production. So we can pack people in on planes like sardines. But 100 people can go to somewhere that generally seats 1500??? I get some spacing would be okay but honestly that was ridiculous. I know I will probably get some angry people with my thought on that. But that is how it is. My husband travels for work and is constantly on planes with people sitting shoulder to shoulder and people in every single seat. Yet in this HUGE venue they can have maybe 10% of their capacity???? Also you will be required to wear your mask the entire time. And there is staggered seating times based on where you are so pay attention to your email so you arrive at the right time. You are not allowed to wait inside, you have to wait outside until your time to enter and sit down. There were no actual programs given out just a online program so if you dont want to look at your phone, dont bring your phone or dont have a QR scanner that works well then you have no way to see the program. My husband who is 6 foot tall knees were banging on the back of the seat in front of him but guess it doesn't matter since no one was allowed to sit there. Anyhow. there it is. I have been to many a wonderful production there however. Hopefully this wont be the case forever because for me its a turn off. I am glad that they get to be open though and hopefully it will only get better from here.

How was I going to help her plan a wedding that was not in her hometown in Connecticut? We definitely needed a planner to help. We interviewed several planners and my daughter and now son-in-law felt that Casey was the only one we interviewed that spent the time to get to know them and find out what they wanted in their vision of a wedding verses just telling them all the services they provide. Casey was asking how they met, what they liked to do in their free time and what was the vibe they were going for with the wedding. I felt confident that Casey would help them plan a wedding that was perfect for THEM. I wanted to be included in the planning process and Casey had no problem with this so I would be conferenced in on any calls and looped in on all the emails. Casey was very patient throughout the planning process from the number of site visits she went on to find the perfect venue to answering all the little questions we had. Casey helped us find the perfect venue that fit all the characteristics the B+G explained to her in the initial interview. At first, we signed up for "day of" planning because of expense but added the "full service" planning when we decided the venue we chose would end up being like a destination wedding where no guest lived locally so the whole weekend needed to be planned from Friday through Sunday. I am so glad we did this because Casey stepped right in and helped us with all the details! Casey is very organized and helped keep the B+G on schedule with their tasks so it never seemed overwhelming throughout the whole planning process. She recommended some great vendors! Casey went through each contract to make sure all contracts were good even before forwarding them to me to review and kept me on schedule with payments needed for all vendors so I never missed a payment. Casey was great with communication and would often answer an email on her day off even though I didn't expect an answer right away. I think Casey really excelled with logistics and design so when the time came, the wedding was flawless! All of our guests commented on how well everything came together and how beautiful the wedding was. The weekend of the wedding was amazing, the B+G and I showed up and were allowed to be just guests for the whole weekend! We did not need to worry about a thing because Casey and Jessica handled everything! It turned out better than I could have imagined! I did not find out about a problem that happened during the weekend until after the brunch when my sister let me know that she was having such trouble with the altitude right before the ceremony that Casey got her some oxygen and set her up in a place to see the ceremony where she did not have to walk. I did not even notice that this was going on. There was no doubt that Casey did not want the B+G nor me to be troubled with anything over the weekend and what a joy that was to not have that stress! When first interviewing planners I thought they were, as a whole, expensive and was a little worried with the cost of them, however, I can honestly say Casey and Aspen & Ivy are well worth the expense! Casey, I really enjoyed working with you. I felt that through the process you became more of a friend than vendor we had contracted! We definitely could not have pulled off such a beautiful event without you!

She gently advised us on everything including, caterers, food, alcohol, flowers, and invitations. During the weekend Casey worked behind the scenes to make sure everything ran perfectly. We were particularly impressed when she was the last one to bed because she was running the vacuum at night to make sure the space was in perfect order for Saturday breakfast. This is the very first time we've ever used a party planner and we are so glad we did. Three months later our friends are still raving about the weekend and how well organized it was. It did help that we had the party at Estes Park on a glorious fall weekend. Casey didn't plan that. This is the only negative review I've written about any of our wedding vendors. We went with these guys because they were in Fort Collins since we got married near there, they seemed reasonable in price (cheaper than most of those we got quotes from), and they had good reviews overall. However... I was not impressed. They started out seemingly easy to speak with and get info from, but immediately after we made a down payment I started struggling with them and it continually got worse the closer we got to our wedding. There were times I felt they lacked in responsiveness to questions we had, they were unhelpful and often rude in answering questions the closer we got to the wedding, and made our payment process super difficult (we accidentally cut a check that was an over payment and instead of simply providing a refund they added stress to our plate by voiding the check and making us render new payment - I've not had other vendors in the past do something like that so I was super shocked at how unprofessional they were in handling this, and this was never discussed with us as a company policy of theirs so we were caught off guard). Even being on the other side of our event by a couple weeks I'm still so frustrated with how we were treated. Also, I recommend to all other couples looking to get married carefully read the fine print, they will gauge you for anything they can (be it removing a line item and being fined for it or outrageous cost for setup that they didn't discuss ahead of time). I felt like the closer we got to the wedding the harder and more frustrating they were to work with, and didn't even give us an adequate delivery time window until basically right before the wedding which was very difficult when we were trying to juggle so much stuff at the same time. Thankfully everything got delivered and picked up and seemingly without trouble, but ultimately I will never again rent from them and wouldn't recommend them to others. Additionally the owner's inability to take feedback and work with a customer to remedy their experience shows to me a lack of effective leadership and a disregard for their customers. Ultimately to me reiterates that had I known then what I know now, I wouldn't have done business with them.
