[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked the music they were playing. It wasn't too loud and fit the vibe well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They menu has lots of great appetizers as well as some chicken and rice and noodle dishes. The pork belly and kimchi was super good!!! The cheese corn wasn't the best I've ever had but it wasn't bad. The parmesan potstickers were really good, I just wish they had come with some kind of sauce. The wait staff were friendly and the food came out very fast! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The table we were seated at had some rice and a crumpled up receipt on the booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It the end of the world but it wasn't very busy so I would think they would have everything cleaned well before seating people. It was also a bummer that they served water in single use plastic cups. Other than that, it was good and I'd still recommend trying out if you're nearby and in the mood for some Korean dishes.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really like the interior of this Korean restaurant. The walls have large, colorful, cartoon-y paintings. There are several TVs playing fun K-pop music videos.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the Jinro Soju frogs they have up front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeting by a friendly girl, who was also our server. She brought us a carafe of water, plastic with a little Jinro frog on it. She was super helpful, and asked if we had questions about the menu, which has full plates, combinations, and lots of street-style food. We ordered some mango soju (similar to sake--kind of like sweet vodka). It was really good! Two of us ordered the bulgogi, and one ordered the spicy pork. Both came with white rice. I really liked the spicy pork, which had quite a hot kick to it. The bulgogi was good, too. The serving sizes where quite large, which was good because we had lunch the next day. The bulgogi was not quite as good as I've had in another Mesa restaurant, but it was still good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The fun atmosphere more than makes up for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been here before, and will definitely be back.
What we got: Combo B (corn cheese, pork belly salad and soju bomb) $37 Combo C ( padak, French fries and a bottle of beer) Pineapple fried rice Takoyaki Literally have no complaints everything was great hear, kimchi fried rice had perfect amount of spice and flavor and the bacon pieces really give it a interesting flavor balance, corn cheese has the right amount of cheese were you never had any clumps of cheese and the corn was very sweet in flavor too yummy! There padak is soft and crunchy at the same time . The takoyaki had a good amount of octopus inside of them pleased with that as well this is a great spot I'll be back for sure
I really liked it here! I had the Korean bbq chicken and enjoyed it. The flavor and texture was amazing. Many in my party were braver than me, eating stuff with fish cake and different drinks. I played it pretty safe but would love to go back for more Korean bbq!!! They had fun music paying and good service.
Came here Saturday evening with a group of 7. We've been here many, many times over the years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a good spot for a casual night out with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because I've been here so many times, I forgot to snap more photos of the food everyone ordered, including my own order, but managed to get one photo of one of my friend's order plus my to go order. We all arrived between 7:30-8pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place filled up pretty quick afterwards![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food here is good. Im not a fan of soju though so I ordered a Lychee Makgeolli. I wasn't too hungry at the time so I ordered the Garlic Parmesan Mandu to snack on. Would probably skip this item next time. My friends all ordered different things. The Kimchi Fried Rice my friends ordered looked good so I ordered one to go. I tried a bite of my friend's tteokbokki with ramen and cheese as well. Was never fan of tteokbokki but I did like the ramen and cheese in the dish! I've had their corn cheese, popcorn chicken and soy garlic chicken as well before and those are pretty good. They have many different flavors of soju and makgoelli available here. If that's what you and your friends are into, then this would be your spot!
I was visiting my friends in AZ, and we decided to come here on a Wednesday night - it was such a great choice!!! FOOD: What didn't we have? LOL - Ramen aka ramyun - Not like Japanese ramen. This is Korean ramen, and oh boy, it was yummy, and it was a generous portion. - Fried Mandu - average, I wouldn't buy this again. - Tteokbokki - we ordered this twice! Needless to say, I was impressed at how yummy it was. - Korea Red chicken wings - I was impressed with how much I liked the spice, but they aren't very big. - Bulgogi - This was good but it was no frills. DRINKS: I love Makkoli, and they have a Lychee flavor. This is by far my favorite flavor!! We ordered a bunch of Cass and Soju, of course. Reasonable pricing -- of course not as cheap as in Korea lol SERVICE: They are super chill. You're not going to get fine dining service because you're being served drunk food lol They may forget about you so make sure you flag them down. Okay - so this spot is gonna be a new favorite and we found it tonight through a completely random search on yelp. We love Korean food so decided on pork kimchi fries, corn cheese, garlic soy chicken with seasoned rice. Could've cleared the plates, but can't wait to enjoy it for lunch again tomorrow! Kimchi pork fries weren't "level 3" spicy for us, but could totally see how someone who isn't into "spicy" food would think so - but we thought it was delicious & perfect spice for us! We're back again and this time we tried some new dishes. We got the spicy mussels and yang nyum chicken. The taste of the sauces are quite similar that we had to get the cheese corn to balance out the flavors. Which was the best move we made tonight. Their cheese corn is one of the best tbh. I can say the dishes weren't spicy this time around and we were both wondering if the chef had changed or not. Overall, glad we tried different dishes this visit but would recommend doing different pairings. (Don't order both the spicy mussels and yang nyum chicken at the same time ) For instance, get the corn cheese with spicy pork ,upon and spicy mussels. Or get the kimchi fried rice , corn cheese and fried chicken.

In the Phoenix area, Drunken Tiger has got to be one of the best places to go for Korean food. It isn't served in huge portions, but more like smaller dishes. They have a wide variety of food to choose from, however, including the typical Korean style dishes like bulgogi fries and tteokbokki with cheese (my personal favorite). There is a huge selection of alcoholic beverages and different types of soju. The atmosphere is very typical of a bar. Music, people chatting and laughing, and employees running around to serve people. Everyone is very attentive and friendly, even for take out orders like I just got today. I have gone to DT in the past with large groups and the food came out wonderfully and we were treated very well. I HIGHLY recommend trying this place out. Even if you aren't a drinker, the little meals are enough to get people in the door. read more

Very trendy and fun place to dine! There were a lot of beautiful murals on the walls to take photos. I went with my friends and we had a good time taking photos in front of the murals. The server was very kind and attentive. She even took photos for us. They serve you ice water to start off. We ordered tteok-bokki and takoyaki as appetizers. They were delicious and full of flavor. I really recommend these appetizers as well as the main dishes that we ordered. We ordered bulgogi with white rice and Korean fried chicken, which came with spicy chili and spicy cream dipping sauces. It's an awesome place to share food with family and friends! read more

I came here after getting off work at 10pm. They are only opened after 5 pm and during the latter part of the week. Atmospherically, it had loud decor and loud music playing with music videos not matching the songs playing on several TVs. I am half Asian and I did look around to see ethnicities of people around. For the most part, it was a younger crowd and mostly Asian. I hate to say this, but I will judge an Asian restaurant by the amount of Asians frequenting the place. It's a good sign that the place is good when other Asians will come. I was looking for something different to eat, so I decided to order from the drunk munchies side of the menu. I ordered the fire cheese corn with pork belly with a side of steamed rice and kimchi. It was really good and pretty spicy! They do have spice disclaimers posted. Not gonna lie, I cried while eating it, but that's not unusual for me. The cheese was with the corn had a nice salty and sweet balance. The pork belly was not too crispy. The drunk munchies menu had the most items listed with items such as nachos, spicy octopus with spicy pork belly, bulgogi fries and sea snail salad. Other options for entrees included ramen, fried rice and udon noodles among other things. I would definitely go back again because I need to try more food. read more

Came here for some drinks on Friday night. Place was pretty busy. The waiter was super nice and attentive and friendly. Nice big parking lot outside Ambience is more of a dim and cozy environment. Lots of drinking. Love their Soju cocktails Korean music playing in the background. Drinks I believe weren't too expensive. Good place to hang out and drink before heading out elsewhere pretty random location on its own in this block. read more

Very disappointed, this used to be our favorite place to enjoy some very delicious food. Unfortunately the last few times we have ordered the food quality has decreased. The chicken was dry and stale. The tteok kochi was rancid due to the peanuts in the sauce. And the pineapple fried rice was not as flavorful as it used to be. For the Price and taste of our recent visit I don't think we will be coming here anytime soon. read more

Let me start by saying I won't be back because of the customer service but I will miss the food! This was our second time here for the month, and last. We had asked our sever what was in/on the steamed egg and he stated just egg. Well when it came out it had sesame oil and green onion...both of course, we don't care for. I expressed to our server we were not a fan of the steamed egg and he apologized; when our bill came we were surprised it was left on there and asked why? The manager came out and said if there's nothing wrong with it and you ordered it, you have to pay for it. Now, this is something I could look past but the way she raised her voice and got upset, it was rude and inappropriate. We love the food but the service is not up to par...breaks my heart! read more
According to legend, 5,000 years ago a Chinese empress discovered silk when a silkworm cocoon fell into her tea. Here at Drunken Tiger, you can find silkworms in your soup! What a fun filled night with Adam A., Karen W., her husband David, Grace O. (Nice to finally meet ya, missy!), and Glenn! There was a parade of three popcorn chicken dishes (the Padak Chicken coming with green onions and different sauces), KBBQ, a seafood pancake, Bulgogi fries, and a steamy stinky bowl of silkworm pupae soup. Most of the bites were pretty delicious, especially the Bulgogi fries, but that silkworm soup... I can't say I'm a fan. Grace describes it best by comparing the texture to soft shell crab. The taste? It tastes like it smells and it smells pretty bad. For $10, you too can have the same experience! If anything, the silkworms look freaky as heck and will give you the shivers. We also shared a watermelon soju that Grace and I ended up taking over. To be fair, there didn't seem to be much soju. The Fruity Pebbles were fun when they were crunchy but got soggy at the end. We also liked the Pop Rocks that came with our drink. I felt like I was in Willy Wonka! "Come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination..." We ordered a ton of food, most of it some sort of fried chicken. The padak chicken had a light crispy batter with the requisite curly strips of green onion on top, served with a wasabi/horseradish soy sauce and a creamier sweet sauce. The popcorn chicken was essentially the same as the padak but with different dipping sauces (A sweet chile sauce and another creamy sauce). The grilled meats we had were the kalbi and spicy pork. The kalbi had a good marinade on it and had a nice proportion of meat on the platter. The spicy pork was tender, well seasoned and I liked how it actually delivered on the spiciness level unlike other Korean restaurants where there is barely a whiff of chile pepper in their "spicy" marinated grilled meat. I did make a special request for bulgolgi fries which were essentially the fries version of their bulgolgi nachos. The fries had a light crispness, smothered in gooey cheese and topped with olives, pico de gallo, jalapeños, and chopped up bulgolgi. It tasted great overall and was a huge portion but I do wish I could taste a little more of the bulgolgi flavor and meat in the meal. We also ordered some seafood pancake which was generously filled with seafood, with a crispy crust to contrast with the softer textures of the filling. Our Bizarre Foods moment came when someone ordered the silkworm soup. It came out piping hot, and had a weird funky aroma to me. I figured hey, I'll try almost anything once so why not try this? I was handed two silkworms on my plate. I examined them and tried to ignore the fact that they looked like something that I pay an exterminator to get rid of every month. The actual broth they were "cocooned" in was bold and fiery. I bit into a corner of a silkworm to find it was too chewy and chitinous for my tastes so I just ended up swallowing them whole like a bitter pill, following each swallow with a copious amount of soju. Even though I wasn't really a fan of the soup I appreciate that they offer this dish to those that do enjoy it! Now the soju... It was served in a gigantic hollowed out watermelon, blended with fresh watermelon pulp and juice, topped with Fruity Pebbles and Pop Rocks. Truly a sight to behold and a combination that makes you wonder if someone had been on a mind-bending substance while thinking of this drink (Or maybe they had eaten too many silkworms that day). I liked the fresh watermelon but I don't think there was a lot of soju in the actual drink since I was feeling barely anything after a few rounds. There was a mix up as we were initially served a regular bulgolgi plate instead of the fries, and I did have to remind the server about a missing drink order, but the server was apologetic and provided friendly service. The interior seems pretty much the same was Cafe Agit, with various TV screens either playing a game or K-Pop. Overall I think this a great option for late night eats or if you want Korean food for dinner. There were a good number of people seated here on a Friday night having conversations in Korean which is always a good sign that the food and beverage here is legit. We stumbled upon this place and we were so happy we did! It's a bar with korean street food/bar food similar to what you would find in CA. The menu offers all different types of soju and Korean beers. We had calamansi soju and we loved it. We ordered potato pancakes which were very fluffy and tasty, they came with good sauce. We also had korean bbq style chicken which came with rice and kimchi. Both were amazing, we even ordered more kimchi. The last thing we ordered was korean fried chicken wings, the spicy and the garlic soy. Both were equally delicious! The decor was cool, it had graffiti style art in the bathrooms and dining area. The servers were very nice and friendly. Overall it has a cool bar feel with amazing food. We can't wait to go back! read more
There are four requirements to having a great dining experience: tasty food, cold drinks, relaxing atmosphere and welcoming service. Drunken Tiger excels in all four categories. Although the restaurant is fully seated, food still arrives promptly to the table while water and drinks are refilled frequently. They have a great variety of korean cuisine; such as traditional spicy rice cakes or something with a twist like their bulgogi fries. Drinks are fairly priced. There really isn't a better combination than korean fried chicken with a cold sip of soju to wash greasy goodness all down! A great first time experience that will keep my business coming! read more
Damn I didn't see a lot of Korean spots around so I was skeptical about this spot. But it felt like the spots back in Ktown California when I walked inside. Low lighting inside. Lots of soju. Kpop videos on the screen. The food came out like mountains. They got great dishes here. The fried chicken is delicious with 4 sauces. The corn cheese with spicy pork was like kids eating candy. The Kalbi short rib was eaten so fast. I was very satisfied with the food washing it down with peach soju. After a few bottles we started singing karaoke on the tv screens. I'm never disappointed at this place! Ever since my roommate took me here the first time (about 2 years ago), I've been about 10 more times :) Food is always great! I love the kfc (Korean fried chicken) there! Also try their hot dishes like short ribs & spicy pork etc. everything is tasty! I love it that they have yogurt soju there! After moving back from Cali I've been looking for a Korean restaurant who serve different flavored soju. And I was so glad I found it! They also have a beer tower (I believe it's 2 liters). That got my two friends and I drunk last time lol. They open till late. Weekends they don't close till 1am! During COVID-19, they request you to put on a mask at the door, also they have someone checking your temperature. I'm happy they actually pay attention to their customers & Employees. Much respect to that! So if you wanna go somewhere for good Korean food & drinks, you know one now! read more

Went here with my mom and boyfriend the night before my mom went back home (she was visiting for a week) and let me say that this is for sure our new favorite! Our old favorite closed and we've been trying to find one that's just as good and comfortable and DT is it! The tteokbokki and bulgogi are to die for! The egg fried rice?? Hot in every way Service? I've been here a couple of times already and it has become one of my favorite korean restaurants. They serve korean street style food! . My all time favorite is their Korean Fried Chicken served with two different dips. I can never get enough! . This restaurant/bar has ALWAYS been clean and welcoming. The dining area, the bathroom, the entrance, I have never seen anything "filthy." The servers always clean the tables right away as soon as a customer leaves, getting ready for the next customer. . Also, the servers are always courteous and welcome you with a smile!! . Food arrives fairly quick, depending if its busy or not! . They have a variety of soju flavors and cocktails. Wow.... just wow. I am dreaming of the day I get to return to eat at this place again. The food here is delicious. I can't believe I've waited this long to try it out but boy does it not disappoint. We got 3 things to try. Padak ( popcorn chicken with green onions ), toebokki , and fire corn cheese. The portions here are HUGE so remember to bring a friend to share with. My favorite Korean spot for fried chicken and tteokbokki. I live in Tucson but have to make a stop at Drunken Tiger every time I visit Phoenix. The atmosphere is extremely clean, unique with fun art and Korean music, which isn't played too loud. Since COVID, they have implemented great measures to take temperatures of each person and space out the tables. Upon entering the restaurant, we are always greeted by a friendly host who is wearing a face covering. Every employee wears a mask as well. The food is always fresh and delicious, highly recommend if you love Korean food or are curious to try some dishes. read more
It was my first visit, came here with a group of 8 on a Saturday evening. We were immediately seated. The restaurant is pretty large with tv screens that ply Kpop videos. The server was very attentive. We ordered the watermelon soju, bulgogi nachos and fries and their chicken wings. The chicken wings were phenomenal, perfect balance of spicy and sweet. The watermelon soju was also good, but watermelon was not seedless so that was disappointing. The nachos and fries were both good as well. Overall this was a good find for guilty food pleasures. Finally checked this place out after months of trolling the reviews. I think I just found my perfect Korean dive bar. Best part: I can walk home if I've had one soju bottle too many! Korean bar food with some American comfort food fusion like the bulgogi fries, which were pretty awesome. Spicy fire chicken was addicting, and the corn aka "Korean elote" was impressive. Spam and eggs, fried chicken are other items on the menu that are on my "to try" list. We ordered makkoli (milky rice wine) and Soju (rice wine-much stronger than makkoli) and shared between 4 people, as well as a pitcher of Cass. Karaoke singers are comically terrible here, but I feel like that is part of the charm. My only concern was that there were only two servers in the entire bar/restaurant so I had to hunt my server down every now and then. Service was friendly, so it wasn't a deal breaker. Also, there are only single person bathrooms, so it could be a bit of a line to use the bathroom when it's crowded. Overall, I enjoyed myself and my friends who came along enjoyed a taste of Korean bar food. Drunken Tiger took us last night! First and foremost to clear things up: Drunken Tiger is a bar. It is a restaurant second. There were no other children but mine and it made things awkward. The walls are black, music loud and neon signs provided more light then the lightbulbs... it was 5pm. Very fun if your with friends , not toddlers. :/ First order of business, appetizers. We decided on the Fire Chicken, fried potstickers and chicken wings. Fire Chicken: WAY TOO HOT. Made me sick all night HOT. Heartburn all night HOT. We could not eat it and beware when ordering. Potstickers: so much better fried than steamed, we had to actually order 2 because the first round was so yummy and my son ate most of them. Chicken wings: the BEST you will ever eat. They are spicy yet tangy and are breaded to perfection. We should have ordered more because those were the star of the show! For entree we ordered the $19.99 Korean spare ribs which were not the best, not the highlight of the evening. The portion was eerily small compared to the price tag of the plate and after eating the wings, the comparison was steep. Also, the service is crazy slow, literally 1 server for 9 tables. It's a very fun place to be! Bring a few friends along for great food, drinks and even karaoke if you want. Or just enjoy the kpop music playing in the background. I had a little of different things during my previous times, but the most recent, I ate the 12 Fried Chicken piece (garlic Parmesan flavor) for $15.99 and drank Cass beer with it. It's like a complete Korean experience right there since fried chicken and beer is a "common tradition" in South Korea. When I was over there, we literally went to a bunch of fried chicken and beer places over the course of our stay. Heck, we even had friend chicken and beer delivered to our apartment. lol. So it was awesome to experience fried chicken and beer again. The chicken was extremely flavorful and tender. And you can literally taste the crunchy garlic on top of the chicken. It was so crunchy! And of course, drinking the Korean brand, Cass, beer completes the experience. It's a little pricey but the food is good. The restaurant is also a little short staffed but I don't know if there is another Korean restaurant in the valley like this one. It's one of a kind at the moment. read more
