What a fun event! I had been to the one in New York City many years ago and was excited to check out the Romeo and Juliet version. The actors were very energetic, young, and fun. The drinks were a little expensive but probably normal for dc. My only complaint was the lame young king and queen who never made the actors drink more LOL

    They made us a sign!

We had a blast. The cast was doing Romeo and Juliet. This was a first date we won the king and queen package in an auction. The bottle of champagne and pancakes with caviar and chocolates were amazing. We had some craft cocktails that were perfectly mixed. They offered shooters as we walked in. It was so fun.

What a blast! I had a co-worker tell me about this show so when I was up in DC, I decided to stop by. It's a nice intimate setting. It's definitely 21 and up! Not only is here alcohol served (snacks too), but the content is definitely adult. It's really funny. It's a quick rundown of Shakespeare play. You'll have a good time even if you go alone! If you go with a buddy, consider the king and queen upgrade! Definitely look like a good time. Talk it up with your neighbors. There is Wi-Fi but you have to ask for the password. I have T-Mobile, unfortunately, where I was sitting, I did not have internet! You have to order using the QR code and a credit card. Definitely a good time. You can also look on Groupon for discounts. It's only about an hour and a half and totally worth your time!

It has been on my bucket list to visit Drunk Shakespeare for a while. A friend and I recently attended the Romeo and Juliet show. We were greeted with a welcome shot after checking in. We were shown to our seats. The actors were very engaging. Snacks and drinks were available for purchase. I ordered a drink and it was delivered to my seat very quickly. The show was funny and I appreciated the balance between traditional Shakespeare and today's society.

What live theater needs more of...puppets!

How have I not done this before?!?! My friend was in town and we were looking for stuff to do. She stumbled across Drunk Shakespeare and I thought, "how bad could it be?" Friends, it was awesome! It was very funny, pretty raunchy (don't bring your parents and/or your kids), totally wacky, and a great way to waste 90 minutes. The actors were superb - they were all really funny and obviously great at improv, with excellent comic timing. The gimmick of one poor actor taking shots and then trying to keep it together during the show - brilliant. The drinks were very tasty, with costs on par with any bar in the city. I love the fact that they serve you in your seats throughout the show, so you can drink and enjoy without missing anything. The Bramble and Juliet drinks were great. I'm totally taking more friends here and recommending it to others!

This was so much fun! We had a spontaneous date night, and Drunk Shakespeare has been on my list for ages. It just so happened that tickets that night were reduced, so we jumped on the opportunity. The theater is tiny! All seats are great seats, you really can't go wrong. Bar services begins once you step inside and are escorted to your spots. The drinks were good! We each had two, and they were worth the purchase. The performance was filled with laughs. It is an interactive show, and the actors are there for it. Highly recommend!!

It couldn't have been a better experience at Drunk Shakespeare - DC. We knew of the show, we had seen it on a whim a few years back in New York. We were in DC last weekend as part of other plans, and we didn't have plans for Saturday night yet. After checking some other ideas, we decided to give it another try. After all, we did like the show last time. We got there at the last minute, and although we had pad for the 2nd tier, we were lucky to have been upgraded to stage side. There isn't a bad seat in the small house, It was nice to have a front row seat. The show kicked off with shots b the lead actor(and we all had drinks ourselves). There was plenty of Shakespeare, and plenty of ribald and jokes. The players were all pretty good. One gall could really sing and another knew how to get down to some popular hip-hop tunes. The main actor was constantly stealing the show with his set of skills. It really was a great time. They really know how to put on a big show on a small scale.

    Hysterical drunk actor - lol

Very fun experience. Talented actors, attentive staff, cool location and interesting concept. They start the theme from the moment you walk through the red curtains and they offer you a free shot to get the Party started. We are doing Dry January, so it would have been fun to have a non-alcoholic option (but totally understandable that they don't). Drink was good, although $12 for a small non-alcoholic drink is a bit steep. Easy ordering and checkout process - they automatically add 20% gratuity which is appreciated. Definitely recommend- you'll have fun! Enjoy!

Came here last night for the 5 pm show and a was really impressed by all five actors. We were greeted with an initiation shot which was quite tasty. The actors' ability to make improv style jokes and work in politics and current events in a comical way with a Shakespearean plot is truly impressive. I had a good laugh for most of the show. I kind of lost it when they brought out a muppet to play the character of Lenox. The show is 90 minutes-a perfect duration. There's audience interaction, drinking and Shakespeare! What more could you want! Quite entertaining. You can also order drinks and snacks. I'll be coming back to try a different show in the future since no two shows are the same.

OVERALL: odd, mildly entertaining. Definitely not very Shakespearean even for a show of this nature There were a lot of childish jokes about sex and way too much screaming. The cursing is a bit over the top even for a comedic piece. I wish the script had been more mature. It's also just so confusing. Most of my row had no idea what was going on. The people who seemed to enjoy it were much older and fit a particular stereotype. The actors were good though, this is definitely not a critique on them. The show is just bad and not for me. If this is your cup of tea definitely give it a shot. There is also a QR code for ordering but the signal in the building is bad. Otherwise service was good. The venue is actually really nice. It's lined with color coded books.

This was AWESOME! They put on a Shakespeare play, but one actor has to take 4 tequila shots in a row at the beginning and try to perform the play drunk asf, they pause throughout the show to do impressions, make jokes, and interact with the crowd and also give the drunk actor more shots. The show was great, super interactive Bradley and I got chosen to be murders the drinks were also so good too! And we got a shot at the entrance lol!

We had a great time at the show. The actors come up to you before the show and interact with you. There is great ambiance asnthe rally the guests to make the show fun. You can scan the code on your chair to order drinks and snacks. Their drinks were delicious. If you have back problems highly recommend asking for a chair with a back instead of the brown seats with no backs. Overall the show is hilarious and the actors do a wonderful job engaging the audience and acting out Shakespeare. Highly recommend.

They have a large beer, wine, and liquor list (although not nearly as many English beers as I expected from a place called Crown & Crow). I won't deny that I wasn't a fan of either of the mixed cocktails I had, with both (including strangely a smoky drink) being too sweet. But the beer was expertly poured and the wine was a very generous serving. The prices are also more than reasonable, which is great for a DC bar. But what really elevates this place is the service. By late night, the place was jam packed. But each and every bartender was extremely friendly and they expertly worked the crowd, getting drinks served quickly (which too few places manage to do) and swiftly clearing off tables of dirty glasses. I also greatly appreciated the free goldfish that they happily dole out to the patrons. The staff made this a really good time.

The bartender in that area was friendly, but unhelpful, directing us to use the front room's bartender, even though she wasn't busy when we approached and asked for a couple of drinks. The bartender in the main room was great, he was very friendly and once he started a tab for me he said I could use the other bar too, I guess he wasn't aware the bartender at that other bar already told me she wouldn't help me. Regardless, the drinks we had were decent. For small bites, they only had gold fish crackers, I wish they would have had more to nosh on while drinking. Overall, not a bad visit.

I know reservations are probably highly recommended, but we were fortunate to walk in at just the right moment and snag a seat. The seating is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. While it leans a bit on the pricier side, the exceptional service more than justifies the cost. Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes. Ambiance: from the outside you'd have no idea that a hidden treasure awaits you up a flight of stairs. The decor was very mysterious, perfectly dimmed, and sexy. Next, the hostess led us to a table inside where the magic of candles, cozy tables, and intimate booths immediately meets your eyes. Did I mention that we sat in most comfy green velvet chairs in our cozy booth? How sexy! Service: our waiter, Jordan, was the best! He provided great service and recommendations. However, shoutout to the rest of the staff because it was truly all hands on deck. Drinks: the bartender is indeed a mixologist! There is no question of the magic he created in a glass. Her drink- I ordered the Attractive Nuisance, an elevated spritz. The drink was perfectly balanced with flavors to include G.H. Mumm Champagne, Avua Prata Cachaca, Cocchi Americano, Saffron, Vanilla. I literally tasted all the flavors in the drink and the liquor ratio was just right. Of course I went with another round, you simply have to try it understand why I did. His drink: El Tiburón-Let's just say that he said that this is now one of his favorite cocktails because it was smooth! Small bites: the kitchen was out of mussels and their famous donuts so we decided to try the Franks en Crute, the sexy adult version of pigs in a blanket lol. Such a delicious treat, well balanced flavors giving both sweet (flaky puff pastry) and savory (well grilled wagyu beef). Definitely recommend. The music was perfect for the evening! The bar was filled with all matured folks enjoying their group meets or dates, the atmosphere welcomed all. As I stated earlier, this has now become a regular on the list and I'm excited to visit again.
