I arrived around 8:50 p.m., expecting to have plenty of time to check in and get seated. From the moment I arrived, the event was disorganized. A staff member checked me in and directed me downstairs to wait in the bar area until seating began. There were multiple groups of guests with different seating options, but there appeared to be no clear system for checking people in or seating them. The process was confusing and poorly managed. To make matters worse, one staff member became so frustrated that he began cursing at guests. Watching an employee lose his composure and direct his frustration toward customers was completely unprofessional. Guests were not allowed into the seating area until around 10:20 p.m., nearly an hour after the scheduled start time. Even then, many people were still waiting outside. It appeared the venue had oversold the event and did not have enough seating for everyone. Whether the issue was the promoter or the venue's management, the event was mishandled from the beginning. After waiting for so long with no clear communication, I decided to leave. I wasn't willing to waste any more of my evening, especially since the venue also enforced a two item minimum for food or drinks. Expecting customers to continue spending money while failing to provide a well organized event only made the experience more frustrating. I came to support a talented artist, but the venue's poor organization overshadowed the entire evening. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.

"Ahhh", then directs us to sit in some chairs they put BETWEEN tables. After seeing there was no reserved sign on the table behind us and the people who came in after us sat there, I realized they put us in these chairs since we were there on the "wrong date". This place doesn't do refunds, so I'm assuming some people got pushed to other dates because of how many tickets they sold,but I bought tickets for a July 31st show on FEBRUARY 6TH!!! WHY WAS MY TICKET CHOSEN TO BE PUSHED??? Mind you,there is a 2 item minimum, so we were expected to just eat in our laps, so I ordered 2 drinks,but my sister and brother in law got fries and mozzarella sticks and looked ridiculous. To add insult to injury, they charged my credit card $58.28 (someone else's tab I suppose) in addition to the $66 we actually spent and they don't open until 6pm, so I'm now going to have to dispute the charge with my bank.

When you walk in, there's a bar, but you don't order directly from it. Each seat has a QR code, and the staff delivers drinks right to you, which is super convenient. Once you enter the theater area, you're even given a complimentary shot to kick things off--great way to set the tone for the night. The venue itself is small and really intimate, which makes the whole experience better. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The seats along the stage are bench-style with cubbies underneath for your stuff, while the upper-level seating has stools set behind bookcases that wrap around parts of the stage. The drink menu includes themed cocktails, plus wine, beer, and spirits--expect to pay around $15 per drink. There are also light snacks, but portions are small and a bit pricey, so don't count on them to fill you up. If you do order food, the stools by the bookcases are definitely the best seats since you'll have a surface to put your plate on--otherwise, it's lap dining. As for the show itself, it was fantastic. There's a lot of audience participation, and the actors absolutely commit--including proving they're actually drinking. One thing I didn't realize beforehand is that not the entire cast drinks--there's usually one designated drinker, which honestly makes it even funnier and leads to some unforgettable moments. The performance is an abbreviated version of the story, mixed with plenty of local references that keep it fresh and relatable. The Drunk Shakespeare company also puts on other holiday-themed shows throughout the year, which is awesome. I'll definitely be back to check out Drunk Christmas Carol.
