This is my absolute go to liquor store in Maryland. It is a true bourbon destination that has rightfully been featured on several bourbon YouTube channels. They are known for their excellent selection of whiskey, consistently landing rare allocations while maintaining some of the best pricing in the area. I make it a point to stop by every single week because their inventory is always changing and you never know what you might find on the shelves. They also run a very generous rewards program. It allows you to bank your points over time so you can eventually use them to purchase high end, rare bottles at MSRP dealer prices, which is a massive perk for enthusiasts. Outside of the liquor store portion, the rest of the business is great too. The pharmacy side is fully stocked with unique Maryland specific items, and they have a highly capable, helpful staff behind the pharmacy counter. There was minimal price markup between Drug City and if we were to buy direct from a NYC distillery we really like. I really enjoyed my chicken dumpling daily soup special at the soda fountain, but the star of the show was my chocolate peanut butter milkshake. The food in there is simple lunch fare but you cannot beat the prices. they have a long list of seasonings you can add to your potato chips that I want to come back and try more of. This is done without your permission so I asked Terra to cancel only the refill because I just picked this medicine up 11 days ago the meds are over $2000 each and is keeping me alive A terminal I'll patient. She knew 11 refills was added on Feb 27, 2026 but her Anger and racial display in the pharmacy she CANCELLED my whole and said it was at my request. If anyone have a number I can call please respond. I went here to click photo for my passport that had very specific requirements. Dave went through the specs that I had taken with me printed and clicked the photo a couple times to make sure that they meet the specs. Though the photo that he clicked was exactly what I needed, unfortunately, their printer wasn't up to the mark. While we didn't take the printed photos, he let us take photos in the store with my phone camera (I have a passport booth app on my phone). He also suggested that I could print out photos from my phone at Target. I was able to get my photo printed at Target and send the photos to the embassy. Without Rite Aid I don't know what I would have done in such a short time as I had to submit the photos the very next day. Moreover my earlier photos were rejected and I didn't want them to be rejected this time. I have to say that the guys at this store are extremely nice. They are the best in the entire neighborhood.

The star of the story is Trish in Pharmacy who helped me on the phone Monday and today Wednesday. As promised, she kept track of the prescriptions as they came in, double checked that everything was OK and did so cheerfully. There was one prescription I was hesitant to transfer due to the lengthy process it took to get approved. Tricia told me what she could do and when and how I could cancell it if I wanted to keep it at the old, bad place. I mean talk about above and beyond, this was surprise and delight! The rest of the store was clean, well organized and filled with really friendly folk. I left another Harris Teeter because I could not say nice things about their service. Had I known how great this store and Tricia are, I could have saved myself the hassle of the mail order pharmacy and supported Harris Teeter as their company values mean a lot to me. Again, Tricia is a perfect example of why Harris Teeter is worth supporting despite the bad service at the Whitstone Way store.

Jeremy is one of those people who can't go anywhere without a beverage, so we stopped at CVS to get a Monster... and an orange vanilla coke for me. Both of which were outrageously priced, but that's inflation, I suppose. Many shelves were absolutely bare. I suspect they're removing all the summer stuff and getting ready for Hallow-xmas. It's a basic CVS situation. I only go into those stores when I need a quick beverage. I DO use a CVS pharmacy, but even then we only use the drive-thru. Going inside always seems like such a hassle. We didn't interact with any employees. We used self check-out. It was a fairly painless experience. I appreciate the ramp and the automatic doors. I wish more stores had those.
