Wish I could give a 0 star rating. The lifeguards and staff at this place are absolutely inept! I was floating in the lazy river with my niece for about 30 mins when a lifeguard came by and told me she could not have wing floaties on her arms. My niece is not a strong swimmer and since I was told I am not allowed to wait for an intertube I asked what else should I do? The life guard told me you need to get out now. Mind you I have already been floating with her for 30 mins prior. There was no consistency between lifeguard either. 7 of the 8 guards were okay with wing floaties because they saw that my niece was in no immediate danger. I will never return to this place again! Came here for the first time because I literally live down the street from it now and my daughter loved it ! She's 6 and she went on all the big slides and everything. She didn't wanna leave. We were only there for a few hours but it was plenty enough time. It wasn't crowded at all which was me nice ! The employees all seemed really nice. I saw they sell Cup of noodles there I thought that was funny but smart , It made me want some. If you want to take your own food it's a "$20 cooler fee" but your able to take waters in for free . This is our 3rd year doing swim and we always celebrate completing with a water park visit. This year it seems like they're trying to make up for covid by packing everyone in to a level that is unsafe. My daughter is younger so she can only go on one area, but they're allowing teens and even adults that are a lot older to run through and knock kids over. I couldn't properly supervise her and it wasn't safe. The lifeguards are young and not paying attention. It's a free for all, the park is too full. I was only there for a small amount of time and wanted my money back, since we weren't even able to play. I spoke with a blonde manager who came out immediately angry, rude, condescending, and accusatory. Finger pointing and telling me I can't have a refund because I came to a water park expecting to play with no children, which absolutely was NOT the caE (we are repeat customers) She's horrible, the next woman I spoke with was no better. There was a wonderful young man, he couldn't have been older than 13 checking bags at the front and he managed to be kinder and more adept at customer service than those women were combined. Please take a lesson from the youth you've hired. Don't go here, it's dirty, unsafe, overpriced and the women management are TRASH. read more

They charge you a $20 cooler fee if you bring in ANYTHING drink or food related and then employ the SLOWEST people at the food/drink counter. It seriously took this girl over 8 minutes to get 6 water bottles and 3 soft drinks. She had to type in my entire name etc from my debit card to run it. She wrote down every drink I needed...the full name for example "1 large diet coke, 1 large lemonade, 1 large sprite" and after all that I had to remind her about the last drink because telling her the 1st two drinks and writing them down as fast as a sloth at the DMV scrambled her brain too much. My point is, if you are going to make people stand out in the hot sun in line for ridiculous amounts of time, train them to work faster or quit charging 20 dollars so we can bring in our own hydration!!! read more

1 star because it wasn't so dirty, but everywhere else it failed. I'm so upset that there was a long line We were waiting in and no sign that's visually seen for the annual pass holders to go in a separate line. That sign was behind a planter with long bushes covering it. To make it worse that line had 2 people in front of me and it took even longer to get in. There's no shade, anywhere besides a little picnic area of tables. No Shade when you wait in line and no shade where you're in line waiting to order food. Second, the lockers kiosk was out of order, no courtesy sign saying that it wasn't working OR where to go so we can rent one, so everyones not all swiping their cards and forming a line. Lastly, to order food or drinks is ridiculous. Lines were not to bad but they took forever to get the lines going (Costco lines are longer and go by faster). I legit felt like I wasted more time rolling around many inconvenient situations than to enjoy my time there with my child. It was my first time there, and I would love a refund because it's definitely not what I thought. If a manager sees this please reach out to me because I am not one to call and make a scene over a refund for the seasons passes (2) but if you can honor the refund, it would be great and I will be satisfied then. read more

I go every year and apparently they are under new management. There are no umbrellas for shade along side the lazy river. I asked about one and they said they all broke. Part of running a business is having back ups for issues like this. It was super hot today in Perris. I feel they need to provide shade in this water park besides the cabana rentals. The lines are long and take forever. Though I have a season pass if you need a daily admission be prepared to wait in line with just two windows opened. The Fill station will have you passing out by the time you get your food. What is going on in there? Why does it take so long for a salad and a cheeseburger??? Apparently the cash register was the delay paying cash. My goodness, get it together. This place could be great if they improved in these areas!!! I will bring my own umbrella next time. read more

I wouldn't waste your time with group swim lessons here. The design of the pool is not made for group swim lessons there is hardly a shallow end. Group lessons have about 8 kids in them and they spend the majority of the lesson sitting on the steps. There is one instructor for the 8 kids. The instructor is only able to work with one kid at a time leaving the other 7 kids to do nothing on the steps. The lesson was 30 minutes long and my kid had about 2-3 minutes of actual learning time in the water. read more

We've bought passes the past few years and always really enjoyed it. It's nice to have something here in perris for the kids to do in the summer. This year (2019) I feel like they have slacked. Less tubes for the lazy river, there is less umbrellas around the play area, the chairs are dirty (we cover them with towels) and the souvenir cups are now $30. I'm not from the area so I was fortunate enough to not have ever known this place existed until I had to go there this past summer. The line to get in is really long and a hassle. I'm not sure how long this place has been open but it seems like a problem that could be easily fixed. Why this is called a "water park" is beyond me and it brings shame to most water parks. It has a whopping 3 water slides, 1 lazy river, a kids area, a pool, a surfer thing, and a partridge in a pear tree. I've had more fun on a slip and slide. The lines for food are always long and there's not really a menu outside except for little flyers at the front of the line, so you can imagine how long the wait is. It feels like a waste of land to me. There's like 3 attractions and they're all spread out, making the park seem big but it's not. The kids I was with while here were disappointed when there was nothing else to do. It's a good experience for the first 10 minutes once you go on the water slides 4 times and around the lazy river twice and then that's about it. This was my first time going to Drop Zone, and although my girls (ages 2 and 3 1/2) had a great time, as an adult, I hope that our next visit is better. Right away I saw that the Lil Jumper water slides were going to be closed, so I debated leaving since my daughters are both little. I was told that they were working on getting that section back up and running, so I decided to go ahead and purchase tickets. We were there from about 12-4, and the section never ended up opening while we were there. I get it, things break. Not a huge deal. The only thing that actually upset me happened while my girls and I were waiting in line to purchase food. We happened to be right behind two young lifeguards getting food. While in line, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 (yes, 4!) different lifeguards decided to join their friends ahead of us to ask them to order them food, refill their drinks, or just stand with their crew to order food along with them (they all paid separately). Not once did they even turn around and say, "Excuse me," or "Sorry," or "I'm young, self-centered, and inconsiderate." They may have been on their lunch, but so were we. Just really disappointed in the lack of consideration, but of course they were too busy flirting, so I can see why they missed the line of people behind them Anyway, I WAS glad that it didn't feel very crowded, but I did go on a Monday so that may have been more of the reason for that. Also, there were a ton of lifeguards on duty (and not just cutting in line to get food!), like actually working. I'd love to go and have a better experience because it is so close, and my daughters did enjoy their time there. Hoping the next time goes more smoothly! read more

have nothing but good things to say about DropZone! My son celebrated his third birthday here on Sunday, and we all had a blast! My son was asleep not five minutes after leaving the park! The park is actually quite large. Not nearly as big as Soak City or Aquatica, of course, but still a great size. When you walk in, the toddler area is straight ahead, and we had rented two cabanas for the party in this area. They were very shady until later in the afternoon,but still had some shade even then. Perfect for a toddler party when kiddos start tuckering out around 2-3. Cabana service is excellent - the employees are attentive, friendly and accommodating. I almost wish I had rented three (we had nearly 30 guests for the party.) It worked out alright though, as people left to play, others would came back for a break in the shade. I am incredibly impressed with the number of lifeguards on duty, especially in the Little Jumpers area. The food is pretty good, standard amusement park fare. Rita brought our party waters with ice out first thing for guests, and with lunch came a tub with ice and assorted drinks. The cupcakes for the party were good, comparable to store-bought cupcakes; I would have preferred to bring in my own cake, as the only flavors available were chocolate with chocolate frosting, or white cake with white frosting. Perhaps more choices will come with time. The toddler area was our most used area, as it was a toddler birthday party, but the adults and older children loved the lazy river and the slides (the Mat Racers are by far our favored ride!) The lines for the slides can get a little long, but it was never more than 10-15 minutes at the longest. Majority of the time, we could go on a ride and then immediately get into line again to ride a different slide. There is little shade crossing the park, and the concrete gets HOT. I recommend shoes, especially for little feet. The lazy river is great, a little crowded, but has a nice current. My son was not a fan, but the older children loved it. The pools are very nice, and I'd like to put my son in swimming lessons either this year or next. The park seemed much less crowded in the morning, and started filling up in the afternoon, but not outrageously so. Overall, this is a great waterpark! Yes, it is expensive, given the area, but it is definitely worth the price, even the party packages. If you plan to go often this summer, a season pass is the way to go. I would also get the souvenir cup, it's good for the whole season and refills are a dollar. Cabanas are worth the price if you want a guaranteed shady spot and a great location if you have toddlers. Every employee I interacted with was polite and friendly, and helpful. This park is clean, it does not have the overpowering smell of chlorine, and it is incredibly convenient for residents of the area. Excellent bang for your buck, without having to drive an hour or more for a bigger waterpark! I'm already budgeting for my son's next birthday - they have made a repeat customer out of me! read more

I have nothing negative to say about this place. The bad reviewers have very specific "problems" that if you think about for any amount of time, have to do with safety. I appreciate every rule and glitch they bashed. Sure it sucks for them in the moment, but in the grand scheme of things it all has a purpose. (BTW the forced potty break is an AMAZING rule- IMO it should be more than just once a day!! Legoland's water park has it every 2 hours I think) With that being said: It is in Perris.. About an hour 15 mins north of my home in San Diego, and totally worth the drive. It's a municipal water park which means not for profit. Which means prices are not outrageous. It is set on a huge piece of land so it's not super crowded feeling, and we didn't have to wait to ride the slides for more than 5 mins anytime Sunday. Admission is $18. Season pass was i think 50 something-Anyway a good deal. I may well do a season pass next year. Food is even reasonable..you can get a freshly BBQ'd cheese burger, fries, AND soda for $6.95! (It's not gourmet.. Its home style and delicious!) Refills are free on the day of purchase if you buy a souvenir cup. Other than the drive/gas it's a cheaper day than the movies and much funner! This place was great. Took the 40 minute drive and it was worth it. There's a small water park like this next to my home but it's dirty so I decided to try this place out. The Drop Zone was clean and superbly staffed. I rented a cabana and it was so worth it. Even if you don't rent a cabana there's a lot of lounge chairs and umbrellas all over the park. There are 3 major slides, a lazy river, kids zone with 2 mini slides, smaller pool and Olympic size pool with low and high diving board. You must take a swim test to in the deep end, adults and kids alike. The food was very tasty and they had healthier options as well as burgers and fries. In summation: 1. Super Clean 2. A lot of lifeguards on staff 3. Good food 4. Short lines 5. Great cabana service 6. Reasonably priced ($18 adults $14 kids $55 cabana) We will be back for sure. read more

This was our 2nd visit, even after leaving a bitter taste in our mouths last year when they sold us season passes a 3 weeks before the season was over and did not tell us. Unfortunately, we use that pass once and were unable to get a refund. This past week we went again, it was a horrible visit! We brought our own lunch due to the long food line, yes line, only 1 out of 4 windows are open. When we reentered the area, the kid area was closed. Our kids had to wait 20 mins to go back in. During the waiting period we went to the lazy river where we weren't allowed to put our kids together with us on a tube. Not children friendly....tubes are way too big for our small children (4 year old). Their lifeguards got after us for having 2 of the little kids together on a tube but did not say anything to thw unattended teenagers playing rough in the lazy river hitting my child. After being irriated by this nonsense we went back to the kid area, my husband and I were hugging and he kissed me, a bit later a lifeguard comes up and tells us we are getting complaints of you 2 showing too much public affection. Horrible visit, not children friendly and attractions are closed down too often throughout the visit. I would rather drive to Soak city and pay a bit extra then recommend this place or go back. Omg! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this place!! Everyone was pretty cool and well behaved! The place is awesome, clean, and perfect for my 5 year-old. Highly recommend! Update...someone replied to me the second time on FB & got my email to have the manager contact me. Erica contacted me that same day and gave me all of the information I needed & answered my questions. She was very kind. I did have to miss the second round of swim classes bc by the time I got my answers it was too late to enroll in that one, but I caught the third round in plenty of time. They have done what they needed to do to make it right. I hope our experience goes back to a positive one, because their swim classes for kids are top notch, and very affordable. Dropzone, PLEASE fix your phone and website issues, and PLEASE make sure you have trained staff that work the office and answer phones! That's it! I'm fed up. FIRST: This is the FB comment I left for them on Tuesday... "Why are you guys completely unreachable? I don't understand. Ever since ownership has changed, the phone number isn't visible on the website unless you think to click on it, there is no email (none on fb either). I have called the old AND new numbers you listed, at least 20 times in the last 3 days, during your business hours. No one answers, there's not even a way to leave a voicemail, as it just says 'full, enter access code." So we went down there around 5 the other day to ask our questions. The lessons pool was full of people, but no one in either office. No one answering the phone. We caught a nice guy who worked there outside and he tried to help but the people in the office refused to come out or let us in to help us. I just have ONE important question I need answered before I can enroll my children in a class! It's not rocket science that when you refuse to make yourself available to your customers, you not only lose business but you get terrible reviews, which causes you to lose more business. Good luck keeping yours afloat with these practices. Jeez. Unless this is made right immediately, this will also be a Yelp rant. I won't hold my breath." I went into the park very weary. I was worried about the wait, cleanliness etc. But this mid-week day, Thursday, just a few minutes after opening at 11am was just fine. We had no trouble getting in, there were 3 windows open for daily admission and in a different kiosk the passholders line. The cashier was very friendly. We went through the heavy metal gate and were able to snag a lounge chair and Adirondack chair under an umbrella right near the water playground. It's true, this is not a Raging Waters, so only a few attractions, but the 3 tall speed slides, lazy river, splash pad, shallow pool, and water playground were more than enough for us. The lazy river water was chilly in the morning, but quickly warmed up, or maybe just felt better after it warmed up in the day. Food lines were long, food service itself pretty slow, but affordable compared to other parks. Lifeguards are all generally young, late teens and early 20s, if not high school age, but friendly enough given they have a pretty hefty responsibility. Some were even outgoing and gave kids high-fives as they swam by in the lazy river. My 5 & 10 year old had a great time, and we stayed from 11 - 4:30pm. read more

This was our second visit to this park. The facilities are great. The lifeguards are well trained and friendly. I would have given four stars except I waited 40 mins in a disorganized mess of lines for lunch today. 40 mins before I had food in my hands. It wasn't that the lines were long, it was the process. One line to buy food, one line to pickup food that isn't even ready yet. I wouldn't wait that long in a fine dining establishment, none the less, chicken strips and sandwiches. Clearly the kids running the place have no food service experience and a manager was no where to be found. I tried to find someone to talk to about our experience but couldn't find someone over the age of 17. Our family has been to this water park twice now and each time the sides were closed due to issues with water pressure (one person told us) or water chemical imbalance (another told us). This wouldn't be such a big deal except they only have a couple slides that are grouped together and all get shut down together. So by 1:00.... No more slides. The lazy river gets packed and when it does they make kids 13 and under get out for a 30min "potty break". I had 4 kids 10 & 11 years old who were bored out of their minds. It's lame....same your money and go to Sea World Aquatica... $40 for a season pass and it's awesome. read more

I went to DropZone last weekend for my sons 5th birthday, and had a wonderful time. I had reserved a large cabana to accommodate 20 plus people, and a week prior to the date Regina Montgomery, an event planner contacted me via email asking if I had kids in my group. She then told me she could put 2 regular sized cabanas together right in front of the kiddie splash ground- talk about great customer service! She ended up assisting me in changing my regular admission tickets for our guests to party tickets (to include food) and we ended up going back in forth with emails numerous times in the week. She was absolutely amazing, and just as sweet in person! My husband is deployed and she really did make my sons birthday much more easier to plan, and even put US Navy HM signs up for our party! And last weekend was surprisingly cold, it was maybe 73-75 degrees but the water was warm! The facility was laid out nicely as well. But, the customer service was beyond superb and I'll be coming again on that factor alone. read more

I enrolled my two kids into their level 1 youth swim Saturday morning classes. About 5 days prior to the start of the class, I'd been calling continuously as the weather forecast for that Saturday was pretty damn chilly. Around 59 degrees at 9am to be specific. I left voice messages to see what the protocol was for a chilly day (do they cancel class, do they continue class with a heated pool?). NO ONE ever answered the phone or returned my call so we didn't show up. The next week comes, I'm still calling & leaving messages. I FINALLY get a call back with a woman saying "sorry it's just me here and I return calls when I can" so not only have my kids missed their first lesson, she says that they can proceed with the remaining 3 courses and they'll have to take the loss on the class prior. Not only was it a BS response seeing that I had done well beyond my due diligence without any follow up, she also said that "if we don't reach out, class is still on" HOW TF am I supposed to know that if y'all never return calls?! she also tried to lie and say she emailed me (I had no email from anyone at the facility). So I've requested a refund and follow up by her supervisor (who she claims is in and out & is unsure when she can follow up with me). Sounds like a poorly ran facility & I'll be taking my kids elsewhere for lessons. read more

Brought my 7 and 12 year old today. This place is very small. One big slide area, one toddler area. Lots of seating but sadly very little shade. Personally I did not want to do in the lazy river the water was kind of gross. The slides are fun and the line did move pretty fast for the mat racing slide. I just think they needed more slides maybe on the other end of the park to break things up a bit. We stayed for 3 hours and that was plenty. It is what it is, if you are out there in lovely Perris with nothing else to do.... They close up mid September and are only open on the weekends now til then. They probably should come up with some indoor arcade (Mulligan-ish) to help with the off season. My kids don't want to go back but maybe that will change when summer rolls around again. read more

We went on a Monday and had a great time. We had 2 cabana reserved and our service was great with Sarah. The guaranteed shade and chairs with a cabana is worth the price. Also having a wonderful serve like Sarah to help with getting our food is great. All of us had a great time. We had a age range of infants to adults. There was something for everyone to do. The park was not crowded so we really did not have to wait in any lines with the exception of the Flow rider. Though there was a line for the flow rider it was not to long. It is great that military and 3 family members can get in free once a year. Costco also has a great deal on tickets. Overall we had the best day. Recommend get a cabana. The reason for only four stars is that the park hours were 11-6 this day but all the attractions closed at 5:45. We felt the splash play area and the pools could have remained open until 6. read more

Be sure to check the online calendar before buying tickets since the hours aren't consistent. My mistake as I assumed they would be open at noon after buying full price tickets online. Found out when I arrived that tickets were 1/2 off because they were only open between 2:30 and 6:30p that day. They did refund my full price tickets I bought online and charged me the discounted price instead. The park's size is modest and it felt like a good deal at the $9 discount, but I think the regular $18 would have been overpriced for even a full day. The lines weren't too long for any of the 3 slides. They have a lap pool that's reserved for lessons at certain times. I have never been so disappointed in a family run business! These people are working minors in 110 degree weather without breaks and lunches. Making people throw away water but allow people to sit in there and get drunk causing scenes. Lily is without a doubt the rudest individual there. Their management consists of little girls without a clue on how to manage. The slides were broken the day after we bought season passes and they never got fixed. The kitchen runs out of food and they shut down after standing in line for over an hour. Horrible place to go don't waste money! read more

PLEASE READ! CAUTION/WARNING/HEADS UP/FYI the wait line to get INTO the place takes a very unnecessary long WAIT. The customer service to get into the park i would personally rate is 0/10 (yes Zero Stars!) It's Hot, there's no shade for all the families trying to get into the park. DropZone entry personnel or whatever need better training! There service is running on AT&T wireless so whole in line there internet went down (lady said it's been doing this all morning) mind you they just opened at 11am, it was 11:20am. No one knew what to do or how to deal with the Situation nor did anyone come outside to direct the people "customers" outside. Apparently there are three lines and no one knows which line is for what. I purchased a season pass for my mother and little cousin BEFORE getting to the park. Because it covers for the DropZone and the Cove Waterpark in Fontana. They ask for Full name, address, birth dates, what grade you are, sign two waivers. Plus they take a picture of you. All these questions, which I am like ok cool - but MY GOODNESS they take forever! If you want to bring an ice chest they do charge you a $20 fee for that. OR People are allowed to bring in ONE water bottle person. Besides the extremely unnecessary LLLOOOONNNNGGGG timing to get into the park. Very impressed for something like this in Perris, Ca. Clean and family friendly. We got there at 11am a little after it opened and we did not wait in a line to buy tickets and parked close. We found chairs in the shade next to the tot area. By 2pm the place filled up but everything is spread out enough that there seemed to be room for everyone. Plenty of lifeguards on staff.
