I feel that my children are part of a larger community where everyone knows them by their names and their individual personality traits. The teachers genuinely care about each child--not just academically, but emotionally too. My boys are excited to go every morning, which says everything. The balance of learning and play is just right, and I really appreciate the communication and transparency. Update on Business Owner's reply: Hi Arun, Thank you for your response. When you said "Unfortunately sometimes children run and get hurt", I need to clarify that this was not a simple unfortunate accident. My 2 -year old child didn't injured from just running, he was pushed by another child. The result was not a minor hurt, but a very deep cut that you could almost see the tissue in his forehead, requiring 9 stitches and leaving a permanent scar on his face! When your staff met with me and my husband, we were not provided with any proof demonstrating that proper supervision was in place at the time. On top of that, when we asked how can a 2 year old push another 2 year old inside the classroom hard enough to require nine stitches, Ms. Ash responded, she knew because it has happened with another child in a different classroom. Which is deeply concerning. If management was already aware of such incidents, what corrective actions were implemented to prevent recurrence? Furthermore, prior to this incident, my son got scratches in his face because a friend pushed him and he fell. This raises serious concerns about supervision. "If a similar push had already occurred, how could a repeated push happen that resulted in such a traumatic injury? When you saying safety is your number #1 priority, being pushed hard enough to cause this type of injury is not just typical play, it indicates a lapse in managing the situation before it escalated. Ensuring children safety requires more than general statements, it requires accountability and proactive supervision to prevent foreseeable harm. Original review: I wish I never had to leave this review! After touring several centers, we chose this daycare because the staff seemed really nice and kind, and the facility was clean. As working parents, we always try to find the safest place for our kids, and I truly believed my son would be safe here. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Our 2-year-old suffered a serious injury while in their care and needed nine stitches on his forehead. Since that day, our lives have been turned upside down. He got so traumatized that he is now fearful of everything and becomes extremely distressed around doctors and nurses. Every time I look at his face, the big scar on his tiny forehead brings me so much pain! No parent or child should ever have to go through something like this! Not only that, in addition to frequent incident reports, he once came home with socks and shoes completely soaked from morning water play and had apparently worn them all day, including during nap time. His feet were pale and wrinkled from being wet for so long. That should never happen! I don't know if the pain I feel every time I see this scar on my son's face will ever go away, but I truly hope this daycare takes children's safety and supervision as seriously as they present themselves. Been with them for almost 3 years now and i have not had any issues. I love how they communicate so well with parents. Ms. Belen their director is very approachable and really shows true compassion. Our 19 month old has been enrolled at The Learning Experience- Riverside for two months now and we are over the moon pleased with the care they have given to our daughter! We started child care for the first time with our daughter at another facility and immediately moved her to TLE-Riverside. Now that we have something to compare it to, we know we made the right decision moving our daughter. Toddler B teachers, Ms. Letty, Ms. Samantha, and Ms. Blanca have been amazing. They go above and beyond to make our daughter feel loved, welcomed and integrated into the class. Drop-off of a toddler new to day care can be rough, but the entire staff makes sure to try to make this transition as easy as possible. They give hugs, hold hands and embrace my child when she is having a difficult time, which makes our family feel like she is actually being loved and care for in our absence. What I really love about this facility is that it is always so clean, super secure and every staff member will greet you as you walk in or if you are anywhere on campus...even if they are not your child's teachers; everyone speaks. It took me a while to write a review, but I owe it to other parents and my daughter to write this. I did so much research and I read so many good reviews from this place, so I decided to enroll my 2 year old. My daughter seem very excited at the beginning but that wore off quickly. She would cry as soon as we would arrived and I thought it was normal, and now I know it wasn't. She would come back home with scratches and abrasions, and thought to myself well she's around toddlers that's normal. It's not. However, we started getting reports/calls NONSTOP from the school saying how my daughter initiated physical altercations with other kids and even staff. She was just 2 years old ! It really felt like harassment. I would have to pick her up and they would have her at the front desk waiting for me every time. I honestly thought it was ridiculous and they would have me sign documents acknowledging her bad behavior (attached). We decided to take her out. My daughter started having behavior issues when she never did in the past. I won't go into details, but I even had to reach out to her doctor and get referrals. My heart and my intuition knows it was from her experience there and I tear up just thinking about it. She's been attending another preschool for 7 months now, and we truly love it, where she never cries and I leave knowing she's truly safe. When kids cry is not normal! They are trying to tell you something. TLE: I don't want to be reach out by anyone I don't even like driving by the facility. 1 staff member for 12 children ? My husband and I simply cannot say enough good things about our experience here. Regular Schedules and Routines - TLE provides a well-structured daily routine and schedule for the children with a variety of fun activities that include singing, storytelling, art, and yoga. They also provide a structured schedule for playtime, naps, and meals which helps my son feel comfortable, as he knows what to expect throughout the day. Academic Advancement - TLE provides a curriculum-based learning environment for children and they always send home a schedule with the monthly themes and activities. Our son has developed so much in just a few short months. He's learned a ton of new words, colors, shapes, songs, and even a few Spanish words. Increased Confidence - Since attending TLE our son has developed an increased sense of confidence and he is comfortable in social situations with other children and adults. The teachers here are so loving and kind to the children. This has really helped Matthew learn valuable interpersonal skills, communication skills, and build his self-esteem. Communication - TLE uses an app that sends parents daily pictures and updates about their child's day. It's so nice to get an alert when I'm at work and see that my son is having a great day filled with fun activities. It definitely helps alleviate some of the guilt that parents have when we have to leave our children for work. The app also alerts us and lets us know when it's time to replenish supplies like diapers, wipes, or sunscreen. Food is provided - This was a huge one for us because our last daycare did not provide food and it took about 30 minutes of morning prep time off our plate. Every day they provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks with milk and water. Matthew has been able to try a variety of new foods that we wouldn't have thought to introduce to him and he's less of a picky eater now. Thank you! As a teacher myself, I know that my son's experience at TLE will help with his transition to preschool and TK. He's built a strong sense of independence thanks to his teachers and he is a happier baby because of the routines and structure that they provide for him every day. MY SON LOVES THIS SCHOOL. This is my very first time having kid attending to preschool. He's my first baby so of course i was super worried putting him in preschool. I was constantly worried if he eats well, sleeps well, if he cries, if he has fun. My worries were eased quickly after his first day. We love his teacher, Ms. Ana. She's so sweet. Always makes sure that he eats well, sleeps well. She even rocked and sang him to sleep. My boy is 2 and half and he's tall. Ms. Ana is petite so the extra mile that she went for my baby is beyond my expectations. He's onto his second week now and he loves his teacher. All he talks about all day at home is Ms. Ana this, Ms. Ana that. I also love the staffs. Everyone is helpful and sweet especially Ms. Belen. It's summer time! I'd been wanting to do a review on their summer program. This would be my son's 3rd summer at TLE. This year's Summer of Imagination program has creative hands on learning, water play days and fun summer visitors. The program is amazing. It usually has a lot more to offer in regards to fun visitors and activities but they are very serious about standards and some activities just didn't fit within the public health guidelines. I think that's admirable because it keeps the focus on the wellness of the children. About the COVID-19 guidelines, I can say they are doing a great job at drop-off and pick-up. They're using the resources and infrastructure to comply with the public health guidelines. The vestibule is a safe and convenient way to do the child exchange and sign-in/out on the books. The daily pictures shared on the TLE phone app provide insight as to how things are being done in the interior of the building and activities. The center has chosen activities that allow for the sanitation of areas and class sizes are according to guidelines. Keep up the great work, TLE! read more

Update 06/16- It's interesting to hear said owner explain that "they need do be in compliance with drop off times otherwise they can put their license in jeopardy" you know why? I called other locations that explained to me it's in a case by case situation. Let's play devils advocate here- even if you're correct, the inconsistent message within itself that drop off times are loose vs strict and your company can accommodate parents drop off needs is within itself, different than the message YOU are putting out. Moreover, I have our son in a preschool totally flexible to our schedule so please stop with the corporate compliance bs and admit you guys are performing a money grab by making parents who are 3 minutes early before 8am pay extra fees per month for time that is not useful to them or their little ones. The teacher and director seemed nice at the tour. However after my son's first day of school we picked him up and he told us that he hit head with another boy because they had run into each other on the playground. Keep in mind that even a minor head bump can cause a large swelling. After this happened, from the driveway, I saw some teachers chatting with each other on the playground, they didn't keep an eye on the children. The front desk lady asked me to sign the paper which means that they have notified us what happened to my son. That's it. Today was very hot, almost 90 degrees, when I dropped my son at the doorway, they refused to accept him because we came to school just late for 8 mins even though we drove 35 miles (almost one hour drive). I told them that we are new, it's our first time being late for dropping, I don't quite know the dropping rule very well yet, at least I didn't see this in the parent book. I also told them the reason that I will have an important exam afternoon at my college, no one else can watch my son today. One of the teachers walked back and asked permission from the owner. Unfortunately, the answer was "no", they didn't care what I said, they didn't want to help us just 8 mins late. They took the tuition for the day and kept my three year old son outside. We left the learning experience to my school. Fortunately, my professor had great sympathy for us. He told me that I should call 911 if this happened again since to every rule there is an exception, so they are not humane as an example of a leadership at an early educational learning center. He allowed my son sitting behind of the classroom quiet play. That's a big help! Thank God for saving my day! If you were me, would you keep sending your child here?? read more

I am writing this with a heavy heart. Because of the kind of trauma this center put my child and me with the situation they have created for us. They don't care about your child once you point out the issue; instead, then, they retaliate against you and your child. I ignored the previous review here regarding TLE Riverside and made a big mistake. I came from another TLE Center in south bay and had a fantastic experience there. Here at TLE Riverside, my kid was getting hurt (Bleeding ), had a bump on his forehead, and scratches on his hand and ears. I didn't hear a single word from the teacher or an incident report from TLE. When I inquired about it with a class teacher, the owner set up a meeting with us. Then the very next day, they started pointing out issues with my kid (Behavioral matters), which he did not have two months back here at Riverside TLE or from the last year at another TLE center in South Bay. I went to the center to observe him I didn't find any of those. Instead, then I found out about the neglected behavior towards my kids, like not putting a blanket on him when he is sleeping while putting on other kids, putting him to sleep away from other kids, and telling me that he is threatening the teacher by saying, "I am gonna tell my mom" (he is three and a half). When I questioned about all this, the owner said to look for other options outside the facility if I was uncomfortable. I took him out the same day as I felt it is not a safe environment for him. Also, they do not have an indoor entertainment room like other TLE centers, which they use for kids to play if the outside weather is too hot or too cold. They have converted it into a classroom to make money. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. read more

We went to the learning experience in Philly and had a great experience so when we moved to Riverside, we looked into enrollment right away. There is a waitlist (considering it's a very popular reliable daycare around) but the director is very responsive and updated us whenever there was an opening. One of the main things we look for in daycare and preschool are that the teachers care about the students and keep them safe and this place does exactly that! Very good updates throughout the day, always calls for any incident report, clean, and they really try hard w potty training for my toddler. The floater teachers also even know my baby's name and everyone truly cares about the kids and can tell by the teachers' demeanors. My toddler also is speaking so much now and uses words we don't even teach her at home so I know she's learning a lot. Def would recommend to any friends or family because it's one of the best in the area!! I also love how they have events for every holiday and lots of fun themed days. I did a lot of research before picking TLE, and I definitely made the right choice. I settled on this school because of the learning and enrichment curriculum. I also toured several other schools and I found that TLE was by far the cleanest. My 3 yr old and 1 yr old kids go here. I was nervous because my 1yr son has never been in a daycare environment. The communication is fantastic here and I was able to speak directly with his teachers everyday and call to see how he was doing. But the greatest thing is I received updates throughout the day including photos through their app. I know my kids are safe and my son who used to cry at drop off now only cried when his teacher Mrs Carol had to leave early once. He adores her and she is always so sweet. My daughter who is in preschool comes home talking about bubbles (their mascot), singing new songs, wanting to count everything in the house, and even showing me how to stretch. We have been waiting for TLE to open in Riverside for a long time! Now that they are open we have NOT been disappointed. They focus on safety, learning, and fun. My toddlers have been able to do so many new and fun activities since they have started at TLE. Their first week they had an Animal Show for all of the kids to see a variety of animals. Although they have been open a short period there are two things that make TLE standout from other daycares: 1) The people. The owner Aish, and Director Camille are absolutely amazing and professional. They answer questions quickly, and always greet my kids on their level offering hugs. Always. It's obvious their focus is on the kids, and making it a warm and welcome environment for them. The teachers they've selected are the same, and I know when I leave they are in good hands. 2) They have an app for parents. This app allows teachers to document our kiddos day/every movement. We get notified every time there is a diaper change, they are eating, or just playing. (If you don't like that many notifications you can turn them off). If I could give 10 stars- I would. My daughter has been attending The Learning Experience for 2 years now. We LOVE it! I'm extremely cautious of where my children attend. I only wish I knew about the center sooner so my older children could have benefited. Where do I began? SAFETY- the center is very secure. After entering the entrance, you have to use a fob to gain entry to front office and use your fob again to gain entry to the classroom area. This center is also located in a nice area and I have always felt very secure leaving my child here. TEACHERS/STAFF- This is a higher caliber of teachers and staff. All professional, friendly and they all seem genuinely happy to be there! My child is attached to all of them. CURRICULUM- They rotate introducing different languages to the children. My daughter is picking up on several ASL signs to my delight. My daughter's vocabulary is quite advanced for her age as well as her deep comprehension! I attribute it to to this center. They take time with each child. ACTIVITIES- They have several different playgrounds/basketball area as well as a ball pit room! The kids are well behaved here and are entertained well. Even on the playground, the children are using nice manners and interacting nicely. CLEANLINESS- This center smells clean and fresh at all times. Everything is neat and in order. The classrooms are neat and organized. EXTRAS- They serve hot, nutritious, and delicious meals to the children. Their communication is on point. You can see your child's daily meals/snacks, potty/diaper changes, and all other learning activities. They have special little events from time to time and all the staff make each child feel very special. They even make me feel special as the parent!! My daughter is now enrolled full time at TLE and the staff continue to impress me! Of course any transition is tough so my daughter is definitely warming up little by little but Ms. Anna, Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Karen, and a few other lovely teachers (i cannot rmr their names apologies) have gone above and beyond already! Looking into daycares can be a daunting and scary venture. As a first time mom the closer my return to work date was getting, the higher my anxiety was going. And the daycares we were touring were just not sitting right with me. The Learning Experience in Riverside was the only one I didn't have a panic attack after leaving! My daughter has been attending since she was 7 months old and our family is so grateful we found this center. The staff is truly wonderful and I've never had to worry about the type of care she is receiving while we are at work. The center is clean and up to date with technology and safety in mind. The app gives me peace of mind that I know how my daughter's day is going and the pictures they send show how much fun she has. They always have great learning/enrichment activities throughout the day and the schedule mimics what we do at home so it's an easy transition for her. She loves going to "school" and seeing her teachers and friends. Mom-guilt can be all consuming at times, but it helps put my mind at ease knowing she's in great hands during the day. My baby has been excelling at his "school" (aka daycare). My baby has been going to the Learning Experience since he was only 12 weeks old. In the infant class he has had Ms. Kim as his main teacher. Every day I get pictures and updates on the app with what he is doing that day. While my husband loves that they make sure he naps and eats well, I really love all of the learning and play he gets to do! Every day he is doing new activities: reading with his teachers, doing sensory activities, arts & crafts, etc. I love that they have their own clean small gated playground with shaded areas. In the summer he gets to do twice weekly water play days outside and frequent playground activities weather permitting. For me it was a big deal that they supported our breastfeeding and they have. Especially when he was very young and the milk supply was of more concern, they would use the expressed milk wisely to make sure he was full but not wasting any milk. They also follow the guidelines on milk temperature and how long milk can be out of the fridge etc. With their help he has been able to drink breastmilk for his whole first year. Like all mothers I want to make sure my baby is developing well and is getting the same care he would have if I was home. He started walking months early and his verbal development is on track, so they must be doing something right. read more

TLE is incredible! The staff up front greets everyone with warmth and love, every child hears them excitedly call their name out as they enter the lobby. Teachers and care staff are not only friendly and informative, but observant and dutiful. My son's teachers update us daily at pickup and let us know about about any minor issues that may have come up throughout the day. When we talk to my son about his day, he tells us about all the wonderful and fun learning activities he engaged in that day. I have never, since enrolling in 2019, ever felt any concern regarding the safety of my child. I know he's in fantastic, loving hands at TLE. read more

We enrolled our child during summer camp and it was quite the summer. He thoroughly enjoyed it and was eager to go back day after day. His vocabulary has exploded as well at 2.5 yrs old. The facilities are always creatively decorated and an inviting environment for learning. Facilities are well maintained, sanitized and clean. Outdoor equipment is also age appropriate with separate areas for younger and older children. I appreciate all the initiative the teachers and caretakers take. We thoroughly have enjoyed our experience with Ms. Alex, providing a fun, caring and safe environment for our child who has thrived under her care. She is always communicative and provides excellent recommendations that we use at home to ensure our child had a positive experience in and outside the classroom. Her energy and positivity engages her little ones and parents. Thank you for all that you do! We have just recently started the school year and have introduced more enrichment curriculum. Our son's vocabulary, spatial and fine motor skills have noticeably progressed. The owners here are also very hands on with their facility and are very upbeat, accommodating, communicative and just all around great people. Last but not least, there are plenty of centers closer to my home but have chosen this location because of all the great initial reviews and our ongoing experience during the last 4 months. TLE (The Learning Experience) is their very first school/daycare. So I was so afraid of everything and worried on the first day of school. My girls LOVE their teachers bc they are always nice and good caring i can feel and tell (esp. Ms. Andrea, Ms. Marilyn, Ms. Alex) 3. Love their curriculum so much. My son started at TLE right when he turned 2. We absolutely love the learning experience. The entire experience of this childcare center is amazing. The girls at the front desk are always smiling and welcoming, the talk to each child using their name and remembering their interests. The staff is very communicative to the parents about any little bump or scratch. The security (locking front door, key fob, and second locking door) makes me feel good about leaving my child at this facility. All the toys and furniture are brand new and it always smells nice and fresh (despite the amount of babies and diapers involved in child care). My sons teacher, Miss Lily has made a sweet connection to my child and has made me feel like she truly enjoys having him in her class. She is always friendly and warm, she seems to genuinely love her job (as do the other teachers!) While TLE is very pricey ($1200/month) there are many added perks- all snacks and meals are included, enrichment activities, and an app that lets you see pictures and activity descriptions of what your child is doing all day long. They even have an option to pay $10 per hour if you need to pick up your child later one day. (Maybe to go to the gym next door?) I highly recommend TLE.
