I am one of those worry parents and they always respond fast and make me feel better. every one who works there has grown on me because there the ones who watch my baby. Don't even bother calling this place if you're interested but your son has autism. You would think in 2024 most childcare places would have teachers who can deal with all kinds of kids (unless very severe). As soon as I told the lady on the phone my son had autism her tone changed and she was basically done with the call. read more

This daycare is unable to properly supervisor all children at their facility. My son has had so many "accidents" and has been bit, hit, smashed, had his fingernail come off and has come home with unexplained marks. I'm going to add just a few photos. And some of the incident reports that they claimed happened. I used to believe them until this week after one of their employees stole a brand new pack of diapers from my son. Please do not send your children here they will be stolen from and constantly get hurt. read more

Helping Hands Child Development is truly a gem of a center. The staff is incredibly well-trained and always attentive to the children's needs. My niece loves going there and comes home with great projects that she has worked on during her time there. On top of that, they offer additional holiday events which give her something to look forward to throughout the year! This facility is frequently having challenges with ratios. They will vilify your child if they exhibit any behaviors that requires the attention and support of their staff. Their team does not have any formal training or basic understanding of to care for children and their INDIVIDUAL needs. New staff rotate in and out. The director is rarely there and is unable to provide a safe a developing experience for the children. If you are hoping for a place where your child can be safe, learn, be loved, and developed, THIS IS NOT the place. If you are looking for a babysitter with a COUPLE staff who are nice to your kids, this will do. Multiple times at pick i have witness toddlers roaming rooms alone. The front door does not auto lock and you fix the door closed each time. Front area is frequently vacated. The academic aspect is this facility lacks any authenticity. The most "teaching" going on lives in letting the kids roam the playground. UPDATE: To whoever is reading this. The person responding to my review has never met My child nor has ever had a conversation with me. Once I indicated to them that I felt like our son was being harassed They told me they would not speak to me at all whatsoever, and that I would need to have an attorney talk to their attorney. They were not interested in any ways to support him. They did not take any special care with my son. It's quite disappointing how they are trying to exaggerate their concern and pretend they care about my son. I've tried many times to discuss with her Director ways They can interact with children like mine, or any other children who require actual engagement. My son does not need one on one care he needs actual care. This institution needs to expand the training up there, staff, especially the Director. Again, if you just need a place to provide bare minimum care of your children while you're at work, this may work for you. But if your children require any type of actual relationship building and child development, this is not the place for you. Helping Hands, do not pretend that you cared about my son or cared about his actual development. My son has been able to read since 2 1/2 and you haven't scaffold a single activity or engagement piece for him. He still drawing the letter "a" as the activity of the day. Do not pretend to meet the promises you have placed on your website and handbook. It's all a façade. The only reason why I let him remain at your institution is because it was familiar for him and I didn't want to continuously shake up his environment. My son crying for me and not wanting to be there has nothing to do with needing one on one care, and everything to do with needing to be loved and feeling safe and secure. You failed that aspect of a child development by not being able to develop any relationships and constantly having turnover of your staff. Don't blame a four year old for your incapabilities. Do better for the next child there. read more

My son has been enrolled at Helping Hands for about a year and a half and he absolutely loves it. He is in Ms. Patty's class and is always excited to share about activities and songs from his day. I Don't get impress very easily, but this place is amazing. My son & family had such a great experience at this school ! From the very date we took the initial tour we were given a warm welcome. my Son is only 2 , so I had anxiety with sending him to daycare so soon but the staff at Helping Hands were so loving and welcoming , eliminating all of my anxiety. Back in August, I enrolled my 2yr. This was our very first daycare experience. What I thought was going to be a perfect fit, turned into a nightmare in our very first week. Mind you, my child was only going to do 3 days out of that week. Unfortunately, my child's behavior became alarming, and if it weren't for my older boys, who were there, I would probably not had known what really goes in this daycare. We definitely did not experience anything positive, reports were filed, and investigations are preceding. Teachers are not patient here, and the director looks the other way... Parents, be aware and pay attention of your child's behaviors. I did not waited for following weeks, I unenrolled my child right away!-BEST decision ever, found a better, safer, cleaner and more affordable care with quality daycare education. My Son sent to this school for Almost 2 years. We had Ms. Kathy and Ms. Patty, who were absolutely wonderful to my son. My son is Autistic and they always knew to take care of him and work with him. I am so happy that my little girl is in this pre school, she has been learning so much and every one is taking great care of her. My husband and I have been looking at several pre school in town but the price and quality of prestations offered by this one beats them all. After having a not so favorable experience with a previous daycare I brought my kids to Helping Hands. I can't not express enough how lucky we felt to have people who really are wonderful to our kids, communicate regularly with my husband and myself, and who go above and beyond to make life easier for us. All the staff was great, friendly and welcoming! Particularly though, Ms Patty really keeps everything in line and always showed my kids compassion and understanding, my kids absolutely love her & still ask for her to this day. She always made me feel so relaxed to have my kids there because I know she always did an amazing job with my babies. My children attended Helping Hands during this past school year. They were the only location we found in the area that would actually assist our school age kids with their remote learning. To have a kindergartener starting his first year online is quite a challenge and expecting him to navigate through computer access, online activities, schedule and so on is just unrealistic, but this spot did beyond all of this. Ms. Patty oversaw the school age kids personally and she was fantastic with them. She assisted them with work, managing all the kid's various daily schedules and made sure they stayed on task. Class work was done regularly and it truly helped to ease their anxiety and mine knowing they were not being left alone to have to figure things out on their own. This past school year was hectic but knowing they had a safe place to go daily that would assist them was a life saver for my family. My work schedule was so inconsistent and thank God the center was always understanding and flexible. Ms. Patty oversees the center daily and keeps things running smoothly. I love that she knows how to connect with the kids, shows kindness and understanding towards the children, but also knows how to address issues with tactfulness and respect. She is easy to discuss matters with and I know my concerns are truly being taking seriously. Ms. Kathy was fantastic with my toddler. She was energectic and loving. The little detailed things she did for my child, showed me she took a personal interest, in really knowing the kids in her class. I love that they do daily hands on activites with the kids and I know my little one is learning something everyday. They make sure to get the kids outside, so they can burn energy and exercise. The schedule is pretty felxible, so they can adapt to any changes with the children or weather, etc. For instance at our past center they kept to a very strict schedule, so if it was hot during my child's outside play time then he just wouldn't get outside at any time in the day. They didn't make adjustment to the schedule for much. At Helping Hands, on hot days Ms. Patty will inform me the kids are going out earlier in the morning for a longer period of time, to make sure they get daily outside playtime to run free and explore. If things need to change, I know they are ready and willing to do so. Whatever will benefit the kids best. The new toddler teacher, Ms. Arali is kind and patient. She shows that she cares for the children. The pricing is reasonable as well. It is definitely worth checking out. read more

Very bad experience. My 2 year old toddler was enrolled for his first day care experience. Within the first week, noticed his behavior was a bit off. Didn't think much of it. One week, two of my older children had to stay at the day care since school had not started for them, and they witnessed some negative behavior from one of the teachers. That day, I went to pick up my children at the end of the day, near when they closed. I immediately noticed a different behavior from the director, a concern, however she did not mention anything alarming. In the car, my older children explained to me that there was an incident earlier in the day with one of the teachers and one of the other children, and they also told me about an incident with that same teacher and my toddler. I will spare the details, but lets just say that an investigation was opened by the Riverside DPSS. We immediately removed my child and found another day care. Months later when I went to pick up a refund check, I personally witnessed an interaction between that same teacher and another child. It was nothing too alarming, but I got to see for myself her impatience and her aggressive tone of voice when speaking to the children. Now that is just my family's experience. The place seems to have perfect five star reviews by other yelpers, but I wanted to share our experience because it was significant. It caused a lot of stress and disappointment given that it was our very first day care experience. read more

Great preschool! My niece and nephew come here and I've dropped and picked them up so many times to see how great this school is. My sister told me it's hard to find good schools that are affordable and she's really glad she found this one! They even provide hot meals that are nutritious so that's one less thing to worry about in the morning. The teachers are wonderful, so caring and genuine. They truly enjoy teaching and looking after the children. The director is also great. Everyone here provides a safe environment for the kids to learn. They know how to keep learning fun and the kids engaged. My niece and nephew show me many activities and projects they do daily, and they love doing them! I had my son there for about 1 week and he's a 3 years old. 1st thing I didn't not like was that he always had he's shoes backwards when I picked him up. The first time I was like okay but then it became a repetition. 2nd he came home without socks and his shoes backwards. I never got them back, I know they are replicable but still that's unprofessional. I also saw a cockroach crawling by the sink. Then on his last day he did something every inappropriate at home. He has never done that before. I do not have any other children to blame it on at home. He only plays with children from his daycare. I can't say it was his father either because I myself is only raising my son on my own. This place has so many good reviews but it's lies!!!!! I will never take my son back. read more

Wonderful Staff, I found this place for my nephew and he has been going to here since last year. Ever since the beginning, we've had a peace of mind knowing that he is in a great place where he would be looked after with caring and very personal attention. I had 2 of my kiddos enrolled here and it was an amazing part of their life. I am a former preschool teacher so when I decided to enroll them in a program I was very critical. We toured 6 different places in the area including those that were 3x more expensive and kept coming back to this little gem. You just cant get better in Riverside! My first favorite thing was that the preschool teachers have been doing and loving their job there FOREVER, they love what they do, they are warm, caring, experienced and AMAZING with the kids. I then loved that the classes were clean, inviting, well suited for play and learning, and just a happy place for the kids. We went to others that seemed like a huge, dirty, noisy warehouse, we just couldn't leave our kids there. This place is so warm and cozy and it really lived up to it in terms of how safe and happy my kids felt there. Finally, they get creative and fun with the activites, the program, what they teach and how they get involved, my kids enjoyed the holidays and the summer here. All of the teachers and the director make a great team making this place awesome for the kids. I hope this review helps other anxious parents as I've been there and finding the right place is HARD.
