The staff at Growing Place is gentle and kind with my daughter. She gets to sing and dance and do water play etc. they keep her engaged and it shows in her development and how well adjusted she is especially around other children. I wanted to wait a full school year before writing a review- recommending a place for childcare is serious business to me! After ten months of my son attending full time in the preschool class I have come to LOVE this place and wish I had started bringing him a year or two earlier. Here are some things that I really appreciate: - The staff is diverse, friendly, calm, and helpful. Many are moms, which isn't necessarily a prerequisite to good childcare, but is still helpful when trying to talk about my child sometimes. - I appreciate the balance of academics and fun. He learns and he plays! There is a definite consistent routine. - My son took a few weeks to fully acclimate in the beginning and his teachers were so patient and kind. - I love they they provide a variety of food that promotes healthy eating and trying new things - The facilities are clean, welcoming, and show care. Student work is displayed, teachers frequently change bulletin boards, and the office is always decorated. I appreciate comments the staff has made during cold and flu season about spending extra time cleaning toys, too. - I feel like they are fair and reasonable about their sick kid policy; they do health checks everyday and while they'll let in with a mild cold, it seems to be understood not to press your luck with anything else. - There are fun, affordable, activities throughout the year. There are a few "Parents Night Out" opportunities on Saturday's, family movies during the summers, and occasional field trips for the older kids - They go from infants to kinder! Clearly I am a huge fan, and being a teacher and the daughter of a daycare provider/preschool teacher I'm fairly picky and know what I'm looking for. read more

I love this pre-school!!! My son has ADHD/ODD and is a handful. He's been expelled from 3 other programs. We got denied an IEP/504 through the public school. We felt hopeless...until The Growing Place! I love this place. We started my son in pre-school and within months, he excelled. He was moved up to a Super Kangaroo and was challenged. We were so impressed, we decided to keep him in the private elementary school. Ms.Riggs and her staff are excellent and works with us as parents and our son. read more

Our child attended TK here and had an excellent experience with Ms. Elizabeth, Ms. Cheyenne and Ms. Riggs. They supported him well through his transition away from pre-school and now, he is very well prepared for kindergarten. The school has a very friendly and safe environment, is clean and has lots of great outdoor play structures. The teachers provided several great opportunities for families - we have great memories of our child's holiday show, Thanksgiving meal, mother's and father's day events, and graduation. This review is way overdue. I don't even know where to start. My daughter started daycare when she was just shy of 14 months. She is now 3 years old and 8 months. The staff is incredible. They are extremely organized and clean. It does not feel like a daycare. In fact, we refer to the growing place as school. My daughter loves going to "school" and has learned so much. They treat us like family. There is nothing I would change. We are excited my son will start attending with his sister. Take a tour! read more

The Growing Place has been part of our family for 20+ years! My daughter (now 22) attended day care, preschool and her first years of elementary school. Now, my granddaughter attends and loves it just as much! Not only that, several teachers are still there from the days I took my daughter. If staff is staying for that length of time, that tells you what a great environment this is. Like my daughter, my granddaughter is happy, well adjusted, and thriving in the fun and structured environment. She is so proud each time she moves up to the next level, she will tell everyone about her right of passage into her next learning group. I could not recommend The Growing Place enough!! read more

The staff is amazing. They are very communicative with our children throughout the day. There is a comfortable atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. The kids are excited to go everyday and love their teachers. I can see how the teachers care for all the kids and love what they do. I especially like how the childs development is focused on and not just a typical "daycare" they have rooms separated by age groups to assure not every child is thrown together in one room. My son started attending TGP in June and has loved it. They staff is great, caring, and compassionate about the children. There are so many activities for the families to participate in with their child, including the pumpkin patch, field trips, movie nights, etc. We are glad that we found a place that we are comfortable enough to send out toddler to. This place is best place to take your kids... They potty trained my daughter amazingly fast when I thought she would never get trained. My daughter has been going to The Growing Place for over 3 years. I was a first time mom and very nervous about leaving my 3 month old baby in the care of anybody. This place is clean & organized, there are designated classes and rooms by age and development, the children receive personalized care, and the staff is amazing. They made my transition back to work a lot easier just by knowing my baby was in good hands. My daughter is 3 years old now and absolutely loves coming to school here. We sent our son there for a couple months. The teachers are really thoughtful and care for the students. They will go out of their way for them. My son was ready to be in grade school and that is why he no longer attends. We were having potty training issues and the first week he was there he was toilet trained. He is also considered a very active child by many, but they worked well with him. They have so many activities that keep the students engaged. I would recommend this as a daycare and would definitely send my future kids there. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I have 3 children that have attended The Growing Place - one has "graduated" and two are still there. This is hands down the best day-care, pre-school, private elementary that I have ever seen. The teachers and staff are excellent - they create a stimulating environment for the children to learn, but they are also caring and kind and help to develop the emotional side of the children as well. My oldest child attended kindergarten and the private elementary for 1st grade - and when she transitioned to public school, she was far advanced when compared to the other students in her class. My middle child is in the private kindergarten now and is also excelling. Ms Teddy (the owner) and Ms Riggs (the Director) are both fabulous - and I particularly like the fact that they have a credentialed teacher and someone with so much experience running the show. And, if that isn't enough, the summer program that they put on for the children is amazing - my children look forward to all of the activities every year. I highly recommend this facility to everyone I know - it is the best! read more
