Luvd this pool space. From hotel you can head to pool floor walk through the outside garden and head to the elevator to pool floor. It'll take you right to the entrance. Hotel key required to access. Not crowded at all during our visit. Us and a handful of people were able to enjoy unobstructed swims and spa marinating. Water stations throughout the different pools. Water was a perfect temperature for a hot and cold plunge. Cabanas, loungers and bar areas were clean and organized ready for a new day for hotel guests to enjoy. Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Definitely a fun getaway or staycation. read more

Bummer to see sooo many negative reviews!! We gave this place 5 stars for young boys 11 and 8. Food was very low level. We had chicken strips and fries. Save your money and bring your own food im a cooler. I wish I would have known. We arrived right when they opened at 11 am. No hassle. They young gurls didn't engage with any of the guest during check in and payment.. Not a biggie. They boys wanted in so they could start playing. During our visit there were plenty of chairs, umbrellas, inner tubes (for the lazy river), and SHADE!! The crowd was respectful. No one was running into each other. While this location is fantastic for kids, be warned -- if you accidentally leave something behind after closing, the experience can quickly become stressful, especially for families with special needs children. We accidentally left our car keys in the restroom and tried to return shortly after closing. Two staff members were still seated at the front desk, made eye contact with me, and then looked away without acknowledging or assisting us. I had to walk to the far end of the park with my two special needs children just to try and flag someone down. Thankfully, a kind maintenance supervisor named David noticed us and did his best to help. He went back and forth trying to get answers for us while we waited outside in the heat. After about 10 minutes, my children began to get overwhelmed and exhibit behaviors due to the heat and confusion. I called my husband to come pick them up since we were close by. To be clear, I take full responsibility for leaving the keys behind -- that was our mistake. But the way the front desk staff handled the situation was extremely disappointing. A simple acknowledgment, or even coming to the door to check on us, would have made a big difference -- especially when children with special needs are involved. I asked David if I could speak to a supervisor, not to complain, but to explain the situation and suggest that the two front desk staff be reminded of the importance of basic customer service and compassion -- especially in a family-centered space. Ultimately, we found the keys in our belongings, and the situation resolved itself. But the lack of empathy and assistance from the front office made an already stressful situation much harder than it needed to be. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The check-in staff was incredibly rude. For my grandson's birthday, we purchased the party package with a cabana. My daughter was told that the package included food, but when we went to get it, the staff informed us that we needed to book the food three days in advance and that they couldn't accommodate us. Why sell something you can't fully provide or guarantee? When I went to the front desk to ask about the issue, I was met with hostility and rude comments about my purchase. They claimed that I only paid for the cabana, but why would I spend over $100 on just a cabana? The staff was unprofessional and should not be working with the public. I worked at The Cove for two seasons, and I can confidently say my experience was extremely unpleasant due to the lack of support, repeated verbal abuse, and an overall unhealthy and disrespectful workplace culture. What I witnessed and personally experienced reflects not only poor management practices, but also a disregard for both employees and guests. To begin, the assistant manager, consistently created a hostile environment by yelling at employees, often doing so in a demeaning way and at times from just inches away. This behavior was not only unprofessional but intimidating and made it nearly impossible to feel respected or supported while doing our jobs. The higher manager, also contributed heavily to the toxic environment. would openly speak negatively about fellow colleagues, spreading disrespect instead of leadership. Beyond that, they frequently issued write-ups without taking the time to learn the full story or understand the details behind situations. This created a culture of fear and distrust, where employees felt targeted rather than heard. An example involved a fellow coworker, who was written up simply for suggesting that the pools be cleaned because they were visibly dirty. Rather than valuing employee input to improve conditions, management punished it. Concerns extended beyond employee treatment. The Cove also showed a disturbing disregard for its guests. On several occasions, raw food was given out, putting people's health at risk. It became increasingly clear that the priority was not safety or quality, but simply making money. Overall, The Cove does not foster a workplace of respect, accountability, or care. It fails its employees by allowing verbal abuse, unfair treatment, and personal humiliation. It fails its guests by prioritizing profit over safety and experience. My time here left me and many of my colleagues feeling disrespected, undervalued, and unsupported, resulting in half the staff resigning from their positions this summer. This is not just a matter of poor management, it is a reflection of a toxic culture that desperately needs change. I'm sharing this in hopes that the place becomes under new management. read more

Took my daughter to the second month of swim lessons. Their system didn't process my payment under my name and they couldn't find my payment. They wouldn't accept proof of bank statements & made my toddler and husband get out of the pool. Presley and another female manager were not professional, yelling back on the pool deck at me and saying I was trespassing, then running (hiding) into the office. I was asking Presley try to resolve the situation, but she responded the same. By yelling, repeating herself multiple times, and telling me to call fraud with my bank. I tried to resolve the issue & have my daughter continue her lesson or get a make up lesson, but we were told to leave. Presley called from a private number many hours later. She never apologized for her behavior nor do anything other than offer a refund or make up lesson. (By this point I took the refund because this should have been offered immediately). The customer service is awful. Management needs to be fired. Yes Presley, you should be fired. read more

We used to go here all the time before covid & loved it. Finally came back this weekend for my daughters birthday. The lazy river had 50-60 people in it & they gave out 12-15 tubes. There was crowds of people standing up and walking the lazy river because there wasn't enough inter tubes for the crowds. The wave runner was down indefinitely they said its been awhile. Been coming for years, they have increased in price which is understandable due to inflation but the customer service went down. The staff are not as friendly. They used to have more chairs but they took away a lot of the seating to force people to buy cabanas and umbrella seating. The few chairs that they do have are very worn and need to be replaced. Make sure you check their hours on their actual website which may not be reflected in yelp, google or travel advisors. You can buy tickets on their website but it's super clunky. You have to create an account and a profile for each person you are buying a ticket for. Here are my thoughts after going to this waterpark: 1) Targeted at 3 to 12 year olds. Anyone older is going to be bored with what they offer 2) Food is not as overpriced as I thought it would be. $6.50 for hamburger, $4.00 for hot dog, $6.00 for corn dog and $3.00 for a bottle of water. Not saying all of that is cheap, but not as bad as other parks. 3) Is an older park so some white chairs are stained but we were fine. The bathrooms are older and could use an update but for the most park, they were reasonably clean 4) Water was clean from what I could see. There is debris from the palm trees, but that's the price of having shade nearby 5) No chairs or umbrellas allowed inside. It's not on their website but there is a big sign at the check-in table 6) I had a can of Pringles in my bag and no one checked 7) Shade is absolutely limited here. Check the picture I attached - I circled two areas green and purple, which are the only areas for chairs and shade that is offered without paying additional money. In the green area which is probably most desirable, there are five umbrellas. In the purple area, there is like eight. All the blue covered areas are areas you have to pay to be in. But, most people want to be in the green area which is how I guess the park pushes people to buy the cabanas. Would only come back if we didn't have to fight for shade. If you add in the cost of a cabana, it exceeds or is the same price of a bigger waterpark. read more

Visited the park in July on a weekday. We rented a cabana which was nice, we even had our own personal waiter. They allow you to take food in with a "cooler fee" of $30. Food is mediocre, only fountain drinks are served. Park was pretty clean throughout, the only thing is there wasn't nearly enough pool floats for the lazy river so be prepared to wait for one to become available. Also, they DO NOT provide any life jackets. Lastly, it was a bummer when they closed the big slide at 6:30. Please be aware that even though it states the park closes at 7:00, the fun areas close earlier, even the kid splash area closes at 6:45. read more

My family arrived to the Cove today Father's Day as we saw on the website that business hours were 10a-6pm, now real hours are 12-6pm as there was miscommunication on hours. We arrived early 11am. We walked into the building as the door was unlocked ready to check in. When we were informed the facility opened at 12p we said ok and sat down because it was hot outside. Later after sitting for a while the management team came out from behind closed doors, yelling at us to get out in such a disrespectful fashion. They looked at us and spoke to us as if we were uneducated and animals. One of the supervisors yelled at my father stating "I don't care if it's Father's Day or Christmas I'll talk to you however I want". The shouting to get out was as if we were not adults. I will never give this company my business again. They are unprofessional and rude. Don't ever go here. I've been coming here for many years and this time around I noticed the facility is going downhill. Trash all over the parking lot, and front desk run down and dirty with trash. Comparable to a pool/water slide area at a resort. Much larger than a splash pad, yet much smaller and more affordable than a larger water theme park. A good value for the money. PROS: (1) a great size for younger kids and (2) small enough you don't have to spend the entire day to feel like you got your money worth. If I could I would give 0 stars. We booked the swimming classes time in advance. It was a gift to my daughter as she has a little one that needs to learn how to swim. Horrible experience! First off the class was supposed to start at 4:15pm. When we arrived it was 4:10pm, it had already started, there was no introduction, no one guided which class was which. Second, when we figured out who the instructor was, it was a child. Honestly not what was expected. Third, the water was not heated, it was extremely cold! I did email them requesting a refund and received an email back from Presley. I am sure she's just an employee because an owner would have tried to smooth out this problem and find a solution. Overall this was a horrible experience, very unprofessional, and unorganized. Had a great day here with the kids!! It opens at 12 and next time I'll either show up at 11:15 and beat the line or show up at 1 and walk right in. We got here at noon and waited about 45 minutes to get in. All good though, I was able to sunblock the kiddos and let the anticipation build. Once inside the park I could tell it was perfect for my kids. They are ages 5 & 8 and we all were throughly entertained from open to close. Couple of things to note: I didn't rent a cabana but shade here is a bit of a premium so that might be a reason to arrive early and snag a good umbrella spot. Very disappointed! Really old cheap and broken lawn chairs - other chairs are rusted, almost no shade unless you got a cabana. I would DEFINITELY not eat the food! Flies everywhere, kitchen looked super dirty. On a 100° day they were out of ice cream. They had to manually punch in the credit card. The lifeguards at the diving pool were oblivious. I guess you had to be able to do a lap before using the diving board yet my nieces went on them twice before they asked them to do it. Total safety hazard! I found this water park to be disgustingly dirty. The water was extremely cloudy in the lazy river and the pool. In the pool, I saw a woman muster up a huge loogie and hawk it on the ground right next to the pool and nobody said anything to her! In the cloudy pool, there was a huge clump of black hair the size of a small watermelon floating in there ALL DAY! I was so grossed out I told my kids no more pool. So gross watching that clump of hair just float by. The fake turf is HOT!!!! The concrete could use a pressure wash and some concrete cleaner. They charge you to bring your own food ($30!!), so I just decided to order food there. The hamburger was slightly undercooked, the hot dog was a cheap, low quality hot dog and it was literally the saltiest hot dog I've ever had. The soda tasted.... Dusty/stale? Like the soda machine hasn't been cleaned out. I saw the kid bring a tub of hot dogs out to the grill and throw them on then bring the remaining hot dogs in the tub back to the kitchen while hot dogs are being cooked... he didn't do anything wrong it's just not an efficient way to sell food. If this is the kind of food you're selling, maybe consider letting people bring their own food in for less than $30. Based on the water quality alone- I won't be returning. read more

Sunday was our first experience at the Cove Waterpark. I honestly hadn't heard of it even though we've lived in Riverside since before it opened in 2011?! This place is located across from Patriot High School. Upon arrival the line wasn't too long even 45 minutes after opening. At the register my girls were asked to stand against the measuring board to figure out their entrance fee. 2 adults and 2 "junior" children costs $64 for one day. Check their calendar to make sure they are open :) You must bring your own towels! You also can't wear cotton in the water, but they didn't appear strict about that. Since it's a family park you also need to wear appropriate swim apparel. Once you enter you get a stamp which allows you to re-enter throughout the day. No one was checking bags, but there was a fee for bringing in coolers ($20-50). I asked about renting a cabana and it was suggested to call in at least a week in advance for availability. Prices start at $85. Parking about an hour after the park opened was no problem, but finding pool side chairs was scarce. We got lucky to find two chairs right in front of the kiddie area, but had no umbrella so it was HOT (bring your own umbrella to sit under). Seating was available throughout park. My girls enjoyed themselves! There were a good amount of lifeguards, so that was reassuring. Some more strict than others. They kept blowing their whistles, but not because something was wrong; it must be for a specific reason. At 2:30-3pm they close the water areas for a safety check. The only movement I noticed from the life guards were that some were cleaning the leaves out of the lazy river. The lazy river was nice, but there were not nearly enough floatation devices. You can borrow or bring your own life jackets. We didn't go to the big water slide area, the small pool near it or the Olympic sized pool with diving boards. We checked out the snack bar area. We ordered nachos (no jalapeños available), 2 hot dogs, fries and 2-3 waters and it was $19. I didn't see a store to buy anything waterpark related. One of my daughters eyes got red from the water. We didn't think to bring goggles since she wasn't going to be "swimming," but it went away the next morning. Overall, it was a nice waterpark and not too overcrowded when we went. We'd return, but much more better equipped for round 2. read more

I would give zero stars if i could. This place is disgusting and dirty.. restrooms are always clogged and people don't clean up after themselves.  There was a mess in the restroom where there was smeared poop all over toilet seat, and to my surprise, there was a blop of poop outside the restroom!!? I seriously don't know how anyone could of not seen this happen. The manager told these two teen girl workers to clean up the mess. One girl said she didn't think she could do it, and the manager lady told her that it was her job and that's what they signed up for... the girls didn't know how to clean up the mess, and so the manager told them to just mop it up! Lol.. like wth? Mop up a blop of poop? The same mop they use for everything else... TOTAL HEALTH HAZARD. People smoking near little kids by the cabanas, and were never told anything. Smoking isn't even allowed in the park! They also charge if you take your own birthday cake and if you want to use their fridge so be prepared lol. Food super expensive! One normal size of pizza $11, fountain drink $7, bring your own chips $30, and it just keeps on getting more ridiculous.  This place just wants to make money and give garbage service. I will definitely never come again nor refer family and friends. My honest opinion, just go to the beach, take your food and drinks with you and save your money. read more

first and unfortunately last experience at the cove water park. after entering the park and waiting for 1 hour for entry since there was only 1 associate working the front. Paying $30 to bring in Arizona ice teas and Ollie pop soda. We proceeded around the park to find seats assuming like most waterparks there would be availability. After making a lap around the park, there was absolutely no where to sit. Even in the larger section cabana areas that are open to the public - we were told we could not sit there because someone had reserved them for a party - mind you this wasn't a purchasable cabana. After finding a rock planter area, we took a seat and I took a walk to speak with Prestley the manager. Prestley was located in the breakroom when I asked up front for the manager. unfortunately her front of house staff was overwhelmed while their fearless leader sat in the back. Being in the customer service industry and being a manager myself, my job is not to sit in the back on a busy day and do paperwork but to support our staff and ensure our customer service is exceptional. if there is one thing I would advise put this place under new management ASAP and get enough seats for at least 1/2 of the 1600 customers you allow in daily. such a let down. read more

How do I leave negative stars. Life guards have attitudes like their job is beyond difficult when all they're are doing is standing around no paying attention. Life guards are arguing with little kids real professional. The supervisors need to be retrained because apparently they were not taught how to handle any stressful situation.
