My husband lost his prescription goggles coming off one of the water slides and the lifeguard was helpful & had a good attitude as he helped us retrieve it. The pizza also surpassed our expectations. I think the only slightly off part was getting lunch--lines in the cafe were crowded & confusing (it was a Tuesday, so can't imagine what that must be like on a Saturday). Timing for season passes doesn't work out this summer for us, but we'll definitely be considering it for future summers!

We got there at 9:40a and gates opened at 10a we go through the security check point. They do the same thing Knotts Berry Farm does looking through your bags with a drum stick.. Then we waited another 20-30mins past the lockers waiting for rope drop. We found chairs to place our things and began going on the water slides. Everything was great 12:30 we broke for lunch and opted for Burgers and chicken tenders. We purchased the refills all day souvenir cup cus it was $10 and a regular fountain drink was $5.50 so anything other refills after the 2nd one would be free in theory. When I went to get my 3rd fill the sensor wouldn't read my cup. I thought maybe I bought the wrong cup but an employee informed me I was correct "free refills all day with that cup" he took my cup to an employee only area next to the dipping dots booth to refill it with sprite but what I got instead was soda water. I informed him the syrup must be out. So I asked for a lemonade instead. Got that. Hours later I went to the sundae rootbeer float booth and asked for a sprite. Again it was filled with soda water. So either every soda fountain in the entire park is using the same pump room under ground or the water park didn't order sprite BIBS before the holiday weekend or it's option 3 what I strongly believe. These "kids" didn't want to give me another sprite and gave me soda water. I never gave them a reason to be petty to me. Idk why they didn't just replace my cup so I could use the self serve soda fountain. I won't be buying the refill cups and wouldn't recommend them to anyone if this is how the water park operates. There was also an incident on the lazy river where a supervisor( older gentleman in a company branded pink Hawaiian shirt was saying something to me. I couldn't hear him because of the music speakers along the river. But why would he holler at someone he doesn't know who wasn't even looking at him while they minded their own business trying to enjoy the day on the lazy river. I really liked that there are grassy areas where you can lay out a blanket and relax. Seems like the OGs get there early and grab the free seats directly along the wading pool (esp seats near the umbrellas) or the picnic tables that also have umbrellas. Food is super mid. (Only ate from Captain Jacks) Seems like most was just microwaved. Chicken tenders were the best option. Eat before hand.

What exactly am I paying for?…read more Seriously. I purchased a membership for lap swimming, but the reality is that members are constantly competing for access to THREE lanes. Not an entire pool. Three lanes. And apparently the expectation is that up to FOUR adults can share a single lane. Four. There was a day when a third person joined my lane and that was RIDICULOUS. Four people sharing one lap lane is not a quality swimming experience. It's overcrowding disguised as a membership benefit. Then there are the limited hours. Which I was initially fine with until everything else. There are the swim lessons and you will be removed from a lane if the instructor needs the lane you are already in. Then there is the jacuzzi, which seems to spend more time closed than open. I swim three times a week and I honestly can't remember the last time it was available. At this point, why advertise it as an amenity at all? And today I find... the facility is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a swim meet. The only notice given was a piece of paper taped to the door. A piece of paper. In 2026. Members provide phone numbers and email addresses when signing up. Why collect that information if you're not going to communicate closures that eliminate nearly half a week's worth of access? No email. No text. No notification. Just drive over and find out when you get there. The most frustrating part is that none of these issues exist by themselves. It's the combination of all of them. Limited hours. Limited lanes. Overcrowded lanes. Frequent jacuzzi closures. Priority given elsewhere. Unexpected facility closures. Poor communication. Yet the membership price suggests you're paying for a premium aquatic facility. You're not. For less money, I can join a gym with a lap pool, a functioning jacuzzi, longer operating hours, fitness equipment, and significantly better availability. City of La Mirada wants to charge premium membership fees while delivering a consistently limited experience. The entire operation feels incredibly cheap. Cheap communication. Cheap availability. Cheap member accommodations. But somehow not cheap membership prices. If members are expected to share three overcrowded lanes, lose access for entire weekends, receive no meaningful communication, and watch amenities remain closed for weeks at a time, then management needs to answer a very simple question: What exactly are we paying for?

The only negative experience we had involved an employee named Stephanie who was working the family raft slide. She came across as though she genuinely didn't want to be there. It didn't ruin our visit by any means, but when you're in a family-focused environment, a friendly attitude goes a long way. Also, during one of our turns on the family slide, the wait was noticeably longer than it should have been compared to all of our previous rides, which slowed things down a bit. Definitely a bit miss managed as it seems as 1-2 employees max were bouncing back and forward to push the rafts down. Something that popped into mind free of charge lol. One suggestion for the marketing team: consider giving away complimentary waterproof phone pouches. They cost only a few dollars at retail store ( Walmart ) so I'd imagine they could be purchased in bulk at a much lower cost. Guests would use them throughout the park, and many would likely take pictures and post all over there social media as I saw almost every partner with one,I know I did and will posting family pic and already have all the family said they'd want to come..giving Great Wolf Lodge free advertising and great brand exposure every time they're used elsewhere. It seems like a small investment that could create a lasting impression. Overall, a solid 4-star experience. We'd come back again.

Some people were going against the flow in the lazy river (which is stated in the rules that it is against the rules to do so) and lifeguards did not enforce this policy. Most of the rides are closed because there's not enough people or employees. You used to be able to get into the arcade for free. Well not anymore. You have to pay to enter & the cheapest ticket is the mini golf. Cheapest parking is also about $20. So not worth it. Still, a great place for intimate mini golf I guess.
