It had been thrown into the marina by my son (cause it was dead) and stayed the night under the water. NEVER TAKE YOUR ELECTRONIC HERE!!! I took my samsung galaxy s10+ in to get it repaired. (The screens we both shattered front and back) I had to pay in advance $329.88. I took my phone in and left it there, was called to pick it up (as I was on my way to work). As i was walking up the walkway to my job i noticed some scratches, so i called them. They said bring it in we will have a look. I took it in they never took it out of the otter box to view the full amount of scratches, then after vigorous calling repeatedly they tell me they can order a replacement and it looked to be handling damage. So I take it in so they can "reevaluate " it, this time I take it out of the case myself and give it to them. This time I get told that I put those scratches on my just paid for phone, and called the same exact day to notify them about. Then the manager or I think decided to yell at me that those scratches must have been put there by you, those werent there last time. And I said it was in the case when I brought it how r u going to see them in the case. Which I then got told I would be blacklisted from this business... hahahahhaha I will never ever refer anyone to them. And I wrote a report on the bbb. I spent $329.88 on getting my phone "repaired" only to have to go somewhere and have it "repaired" again. I do not have money to waste. read more

These guys were conveniently located on Main Street and fixed my phone at a great price and within 45 minutes in which time I ran my errands (cvs and car wash .5 mile away) and got a delicious and quick lunch next door. I brought my phone in for screen repair the next day the screen was not working. I brought it back and they gladly fix it again. Three weeks later it started giving me problems again. I brought it back again, only this time, the young man behind the counter was rude to me used horrible language. Told me they couldn't check the functions because it was broke. My response well isn't that what you do fix the phone and then check the functions. Bottom line he told me to leave the store, and refused to take care of the recurring problem. On my way out I talked to another person outside he told be the same thing happen to him. This gentlemen who was rude to me does not care about his customer. We took our iPhone in today for a screen replacement. We saw the quote, was told 2 hours to complete the job. On the way out, we asked for a new tempered screen protector to be added. An hour and half later we get a call, phone is ready and good news: your screen isn't broken, but your tempered glass screen protector was, come get the phone. They could have let us replace screen and we never would have known. So honest and so friendly, we will be back and we will refer... Great place. read more

These guys repaired my cracked iPhone 6s screen for a $150-ish standard charge (more than others you'll see listed on Yelp). In the process of the repair something made the home button Touch ID features inoperable. They offered me 20% off (standard Patagonia discount), or they could take my phone for a few days and see if they could fix it. Who can leave their business or personal phone for a few days? Not me. They asked if I use the feature - yes, for everything. For unlocking the phone, for using the Amazon app, for Bank of America, for quick reading of text messages, etc. The service person told me that he noticed a break in the applicable "home button cable" during the repair, and he suggested it might have come from the factory. However, I had been using the touch ID successfully (even after the screen break) until I left the phone with them, so I suspect the damage was done during the repair. He got his manager, and the manager (or owner) just argued with me and called it a he-said-she-said. However, the service guy and i had both checked all the features before the repair to make sure everything else was still working - i.e. the touch screen, the screen-off-when-phone-call-active, etc. I know the touch ID was working because I was using that to unlock the phone after the screen cracked in order to avoid touching the crack excessively. Not the best customer service. I understand things like this happen but I was left feeling like they weren't being totally honest about what could have caused the damage. In sum, I paid $125 to replace a cracked screen and now need to get myself to an Apple store anyway to get a different feature repaired, (presumably for more money.) I should have taken it to Apple in the first place. read more

I wish i never brought my ipad here. It's long but consumer beware. They messed up my ipad after 4 days of keeping it. Dropped it off around noon and guy tells me it'll be done by 4 to 5. Called at 4, it is not done. The guy promises it'll be done by closing at 7pm. Can't make it by 7 so I come in the next day after 1 pm. IT'S STILL NOT DONE!!! No apologies, no phone call, no nothing. I wasted a drive just to find out it still hasn't been touched. Return the next day,it's done but the glass is popped up on one side and the rubber seal is not sealing. I complain, guy takes it back and superglued the rubber sealed. Now it looks worse with glue residue on the screen and i noticed my home button is askew. I would not accept the job so he says he'll fix it. And at this point, I don't have a choice. I come back the next day. It's done with more scratches on the edges of my now ipad. It's explained then that its due to the process of taking the screen off. I'm so done with them so i paid and left frustrated. ONLY to find out later that night the bottom 1/2 inch of my touch screen is not responding!! Seriously!!! I call the manager who personally picked it up and fixed it and dropped it off since I made such a fuss. So door to door service was nice BUT the screen started to pop off again! Had to call and get it fixed again. Next day, manager dropped it off and before he left, realized the screen was coming up again. So he took it back and finally fixed it correctly. Now with more scratches on my ipad, after 5 attempts, it's usable again. Save yourself the trouble. Go elsewhere. I do have to give the manager credit for the door to door service but if it was done correctly in the first place, he wouldn't have wasted either his or my time. read more

A month ago, DSF would have rated 5 stars. Quick. Helpful. Problem fixed...or so i thought. I had my phone for 1 1/2 years. Dropped it numerous time with no issues at all. Finally, the poor screen gave out. And was only slightly cracked mind you. My family kept bugging me to get it fixed, so I took it here since it was just down the street. Super nice and quick. E-mailed me the receipt, which clearly has printed on it: All repairs come with a 100 day warranty. So, now, I dropped my phone once 10 inches onto carpet and it cracked and came loose from the shell. On my way to work today, I dropped it (duh!) and it shattered. As in chunks of my screen and phone are now missing. Now, obviously, I need to find a case that works for me ( none have), but this isn't about me having a case or not having one. I took the phone immediately back to DSF and they said that they would have to charge me for it. I asked why? The reply was that the warranty was only on "defective" parts and labor. Well 1) the parts and the labor seemed defective to me. It hasn't even been a month. 2) Nowhere does it say that anywhere in the store or on a receipt. 3) He wanted to charge me $81, a whopping $25 off the first repair. Then he asks me if I got some $49.95 warranty? I said no, no one even mentioned it. He then proceeded to tell me they just started offering it three weeks ago. HELLO!?! He told me that they have had a lot of issues with people asking about the warranty (and...they didn't fix the verbiage?????) DO NOT GO HERE. They are unprofessional, rude and if they don't have all of the parts, they will do a half complete job. Took my phone in to have screen repaired. They did not have mesh to go behind home button, so they continued with repair and now home button does not work (it worked before I came in). Oscar said he would get part sent over night as we had to leave town by end of week and never heard from him. Called to inquire two days in a row and was treated rudely and told they still did not have part. I requested a refund and they said they would have to give me back broken part when they never fixed it correctly in the first place. I received a referral to this business by a large local company in Ventura and I will make sure that Company knows that this business is horrible. One star is more than this company deserves. I brought my iPad in for a charging port replacement and received a non-working iPad in return. They refunded the money I was charged, however that still left me with a non-working iPad. I took the iPad into another repair location and the Apple trained repair man who worked on it told me that the insides of the iPad had been completely destroyed. Since the iPad worked perfectly (except for some charging issues) before I brought it into DropSmashFix and was completely useless when I picked it, I cannot help but think that the damage occurred while in their possession. read more
