This was my favorite food stop on our summer trip to Washington from CA! This food was fresh, delicious, and served perfectly! Service staff was very friendly and greeted everyone happily. The seating is outside with plenty of tables and shade. I had the Bacon Asiago Chicken Sandwich. This was delicious! The Asiago ranch mixed with the sweet bbq sauce was epic. It was served with kettle chips which to me was a nice change. The sandwich was so filling that the light chips made a nice addition. read more

The fam and I went to have lunch and Yaks Shack was the place in mind. While we've visited Yacks on the 5, we've never had tried yaks shacks and wanted to take a short drive and I'm sure we did! The food was fantastic as well as the atmosphere. It was a brisk 41 degrees and cloudy. Unfortunately we had no view of Mt Shasta but it was a great vibe nonetheless. If you're planning on driving through I-5 and do yourself a favor and plan on visiting and grabbing yourself a bite. You won't be disappointed, I know we weren't! My daughter and I ordered the Bacon Asiago chicken sandwich, my wife ordered the Cilantro Bomb burger and my son ordered the Make me wanna cry garlic obsession burger with garlic fries. Good experience at Yaks Shack. The customer service was good. The lady working was patient and went through each allergen card to make sure we ate our food without any issues. I would give 5 stars... HOWEVER. Horrible experience at Yaks creamery shop right next to it. I would rate that place separately and give it 1 star if I could. The young lady on 8/31 night shift acted racist and rude. We were extremely polite met by someone who was incredibly rude. It's so funny the creamery was empty. Yaks burger & food shop was full. Yet the place with more people gave us a better experience than the empty ice cream shop. No wonder no one's goes in there. read more

This was one of the best places I have eaten in my entire life. If I lived closer to Shasta I would be here everyday. This place is definitely one you don't want to miss out on when passing through Shasta. We stopped here on the way up from Bend Oregon and got breakfast and on the way back for lunch. Some of the best flavors I've experienced and perfect sauce ratio in everything. Just WOW! Also everyone is very friendly & inviting which made being there even more fun. We ordered two breakfast burritos Avo-my-Cado and Smokin' and they were both so oily that we couldn't taste anything but the oil. Traveling through Mt Shasta City, we asked our desk clerk for dinner recommendations. She suggested this place, and she couldn't have been more on the spot. All their sauces were homemade and amazing, as were the fries. Seriously, they were fresh cut and so good. But the homemade burger patty on a delicious bun with mushrooms, Jack cheese, and a pile of red onion with garlic aioli. It was the best cheeseburger I've ever had. HANDS DOWN. They have cute stuff for the kids, too, like gummy worms on the top of the burgers! Sounds weird, but they love it! One of better food options in Mount Shasta. We were camping and passing through wanting lunch so we stopped at Yaks Shack. We had the BBQ burger and chicken bacon ranch sandwiches. Both were tasty and cooked nicely. There is only outside seating options so be prepared. We didn't mind because we had our dog so it worked out nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. They give you fun nicknames when calling that your food is ready instead of your actual name which I thought was quirky and different, ours was Rainbow. Decently priced since you get a large portion. Would recommend those in the area to check it out! They also have an ice cream shop right next door which looked tasty as people walked by with it. read more

I ABSOLUTELY loved the burgers here. We visited this location on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of tables to chose from. The set up is - you order inside, wait until your silly name card is called, and seating is all outdoors. I will say, the ordering area can definitely get cramped during the lunch rush. If you're with a big party, send just one person to do the ordering. There's a bathroom that you can use as well. The food was really good. You have to go. I'd recommend getting the cilantro bomb. We had a large party and I took bites of 3 different burgers from my family members (hehe). The cilantro burger was by far the best one I tried. This location is part of their downtown, but they still have plenty of parking lots. I felt safe leaving our cars out of sight. Go go go!! read more

I had high expectations for this place and don't get me wrong it was still good but not worth how much we paid for. Burgers are about 15-18 dollars and they are just a normal burgers. From all the photos I have seen they look so much bigger advertised, but was kind of disappointed when got my food. Also, asked for no red onions and they were still put on but I just took them off. No biggie. I also got a coconut cream latte and that was pretty good but really sweet. If you like sweet then it is perfect for you but it is definitely not a shot of espresso with milk. It tastes just like it was regular coffee with milk and syrup. Everything here was about 26 dollars. I have been here before as well and ordered the salad and that was not the best either but I wanted to give them another try. Maybe I will try something else next time. read more
