This is the place to bring your car for anything related to detailing and things like ceramic coating. Cam goes the extra mile to explain everything to you and make sure your car is done right. He is extremely knowledgeable in all things related to your car...inside and out. They put on a ceramic coat on my car and they do it right by properly prepping the paint before unlike many places you'll see with cheaper prices. They even follow up a couple weeks after with a wash and inspection of their work. Do it right and bring your car here! read more

Cam is the man!! Cannot recommend this place enough, as well as Cam's expertise and advice through the process. I ended up doing paint correction and a graphene coating on my Audi, and the results look better than a showroom finish. I knew it was going to look good, but I didn't think it was going to look THIS GOOD. You almost want to fall into the paint, the coating gives a sense of depth to the color, and yet there's a reflective sheen that just makes the car look high caliber. Price point was super reasonable as well, especially considering the hours of work at play to get this end result. I also got after care instructions in order to keep the car looking fresh for as long as I can. read more

I purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Impala LTZ. Beautiful Red. Still had original, new car smell. Cam was very accommodating. Since I worked close to his location, my friend from work picked me up and Cam Came to my office and picked up the key later. He didn't want me to be late to work. The results are beautiful. Everywhere I go, people, car aficionados, look as I drive by. I was Just looking for someone to hand wash my car. Instead, I asked about the ceramic coating he does. It so happened he had a Memorial Day Special which saved me $600.00. Everyone at at work was blown away when they saw the results. Smooth as glass. Chrome wheels and all details shine like just off factory floor. Cam is professional and excited about his work. I'll be using Drive Auto Appearance for all cleaning care of my car. read more

I had what I thought were tree branch"scratches and sap" on the hood, from the latest storm on my brand new Subaru Outback. So I called Cameron the owner of Drive Auto Appearance in Plano. Cameron said come by so he could look at it. He took care of my Subaru 100%. I thought I might need a paint job, but I did not. Cameron was professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, most of all he took the time to help me out. He will tell you the truth on what the auto needs. It is rare these days to find people that care about their clients - Hats Off to Cameron! Anytime my autos need anything- from a professional Detail to Hail damage, I will definitely go to Cameron! In my opinion he is the very best at what he does, plus he is easy to talk to and does quality work. When you walk into his store and see how organized it is and how clean and organized his attached shop is you will know you are in the right place and you will be taken care of. Nick S. read more

Most people get up and go to work every day because they have to, but not Cam. This man loves what he does and has found his calling. Cam is an encyclopedia of knowledge on automotive products and techniques, but what really sets him apart is his passion. Cam's passion shines through in everything he does. He has developed all of his own products and they are first-class. He takes the time to explain not only his processes but the proper methods to maintain your car's finish at home. I drive a black 2007 Infiniti M35 and I've run it through every car wash in Collin County. It was covered in swirl marks, halos and scratches. I had someone else wax it several months ago and after a few weeks I had even more swirls and rainbows. It was in really bad shape. I brought it to Cam and he explained the multi-step process that would be required to bring it back to it's original beauty. When I returned for my car I thought maybe he'd given up and just repainted it. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was-it truly looked like a brand-new car. If you have a black car, you know how hard it is to keep clean - Cam not only made it look new but provided me with the products and knowledge to keep it looking new. He also convinced my 10 year old son that hand-washing my car would be a fun way to earn money-talk about full service! I'm pleased to give Cam and DRIVE Auto my highest personal recommendation. I'll be taking my wife's new (black) Denali to him next for it's first wax/sealant. Give DRIVE a shot-you won't be disappointed. read more

I took my baby in for a full wrap and ceramic coat. Cam Johnson is the man! He walked me through exactly what the process was, what to expect, and when I picked it up he gave me homework to keep the car looking beautiful once it got home. Value is greater than price. Cam was only interested in getting me setup with what was right and needed for my car. This place sets a high bar that no other can beat. The only thing negative is that you will never want to to take your car to a regular car wash again. The care and professionalism from Cam make auto detailing truly look like an art. Treat yourself. Before contacting DRIVE Auto, I was searching frantically on Yelp trying to find someone to detail my car. All I needed detailed was the exterior and it was still complicated finding someone. There were many, many 'businesses' but they were all mobile detail. The one thing that separates DRIVE Auto and drew me to them is because they have an actual business facility. I do not like others coming to my home. I would prefer to drive to a location/shop and get my car done there. My neighbors may not be happy with the commotion going on if a auto-detailing shop was to be at my home. I had called and spoke with Cameron (Cam). He is so personable. I'm in my early 20s and this is a nerve wracking thing for me a bit - considering I've never thought of any high-dollar detailing for my car. Cam was honest, and genuine. He did not "cheat" me to make a sale, he educated me to my pros and cons. I came in early one day to talk about the package options I can do, and have him take a look at my car. We talked about the options and I decided to choose the Paint Sealer (I believe this is the more popular option.) He scheduled me in within a week and even accommodated my busy work schedule! Unfortunately, I had to eventually cancel my appointment. Cam understood and didn't question me. I may have NOT got my car detailed here, but I will definitely give him a call back when things are situated for me. I do not doubt his skills at all; he is extremely professional and I walked into him randomly one day detailing a car and he was working very diligently and was in his zone. I'm already sold and hadn't even done business with the man yet! OH, and to add, they're located next to QuikTrip my favorite gas station and on my way to visiting the shop, my gas was on E! When I had realized he was located next to a gas station; I was already pleased! Finally, the other Yelp businesses had maybe 30+ reviews, but a 3.5/4 rating. Cam doesn't have many reviews, but he's a perfect 5. And to be it's QUALITY over quantity any day! read more

Cam is one of the finest persons I've ever met. It is a joy to bring one of my Cadillacs in on a regular weekly plan to have someone who cares more than I do about the appearance of both of them, professionally detail them. My wife, a top Realtor in Frisco, enjoys having a "perfect" appearing and running automobile and I strived to find the "perfect" repair and detailing place to keep them in the condition she enjoys. I used to use one of the best carwashes to detail and maintain her prior vehicles. Last year, her 6 year old, 100,000 mile plus, Genesis and the 7 year old Mercury Milan were stunning for their condition. I was in the habit of Detailing them at an Allen carwash I deem to be the best in the entire area. It was my weekly - bi-weekly routine. When I bought her first Cadillac in July 2015, I got an unbelievable low price on a Brand New untitled Electric Cadillac ELR in Indiana and flew there to pick up the "bargain". It is a stunning design, please look it up on Google if you've never seen one. Since the car was essentially "given away" I felt I owed this 100 year old Cadillac Dealership family some form of profit and agreed to their Simonize "Glasscoat" paint protectant service. It was billed as "Lifetime" but I figured that was just marketing and agreed to their special "discounted" price. They indicated 40% of new Cadillacs they sold had this treatment done in their shop. When I got back to Frisco, I went looking for a 4 door Cadillac to match with the 2 door ELR. Real Estate requires having a larger 4 door available. I found another "bargain" at Sewell Cadillac and spent the savings I'd gotten from the Indiana purchase on a full-sized XTS at year end "bargain" pricing. Essentially managed to get 2 cars, brand new, for the normal retail price of just one. Sewell did not offer paint protectant, so I went looking for similar protection for it. I found Cam as a result of referral from a friend who had him fully detail a 100,000 mile truck for her husband as a present for him. Cam had worked wonders on this aging vehicle and they were so pleased they referred him to me. End of story. I signed up with him for his special paint and interior treatment, also signed up for his weekly detail service at only $20 more a week than I was spending on the car wash that had been ruining the paint over time, and am now considering replacing the Simonize "Glasscoat" on the ELR with Cam's specially formulated Ceramic Protection. The Simonize is already wearing off based on the comparison with Cam's treatment of my larger XTS. It is visibly superior and the ELR is my "Lifetime" Electric car and deserves a true "Lifetime" protectant. Although Cam cannot make the corporate marketing "False Claims" Simonize does, his 5 years is real based on my experience and might be longer with his tender loving personal care. Cam is the "Real Deal" and he has gone far beyond my expectations for detailing. To beat that, he is eco-friendly to match my eco-friendly Electric car. You can't match him anywhere in this area... or maybe to Indiana and back. A true gentleman and professional. Go to him if you want someone to care for your car more than you do. read more

I don't easily believe reviews online, and my trust for businesses has declined greatly over the years. People just don't seem to care like they used to. This is NOT the case with Cam at Drive Auto Appearance. After a wax-job-gone-bad several years ago, I've been very reluctant to try someone else. Decide to trust the online reviews and just go for it. Cam is the ultimate perfectionist, and it's obvious he loves what he does. All the previous reviews and comments below are true, so I won't repeat them all. The results? Look for yourself at the photo of my 2004 Civic. Literally, it's equivalent to looking into a mirror. Goodbye milky residue and build-up from drive-through car washes. Won't be doing THAT anymore. Thanks, Cam, for restoring my faith ... and my baby's finish! read more

Drive Auto Appearance did an excellent job removing the hail damage to my car! I had put it off a t the dreaded thought of a long and inconvenient process. Not at all the case here. They gave me instructions on the process start to finish which went exactly as described. Dropped me at the rental car facility and kept me updated on the status of the repairs daily. The paint-less hail damage repair included a professional cleaning. My Jetta looks better than the day I bought it (and I bought it brand new in 2016)! Drive Auto also has custom cleaning products and supplies in-house for sale to help the novice (that's me!) or expert car enthusiast maintain the new car look between professional cleanings. I highly recommend their services even if you don't have auto body repairs. A basic car wash and vacuum don't come close to the quality and service they provide! They truly care about your car. read more

I brought my Camaro to DRIVE Auto Appearance for a Clay/Wax job about a year ago and was blown away with not only the results but the experience all together. Cam explained to me in detail step by step what he was going to do with my car and made me feel extremely comfortable with the whole process. I wouldn't bring my car anywhere else after meeting Cam, He is very personable and I feel like I have known him for years with only seeing him a few times. My car was a mess when I brought it to him a week ago for another clay/wax and he brought it back to life looking better than when I first bought it. He does an incredible job at a reasonable price in a timely manner. Thanks again Cam and DRIVE auto for the exceptional service. read more

Cam did an incredible job with my Jaguar F-Type. I had a hard time finding a good detailing shop in the Frisco/Plano area, and found some of his reviews on-line. I stopped by, and 2 minutes after talking with Cam, it was obvious that he had a passion and love for detailing and cars. Instead of just a detail, I ended up with a full treatment including a clear bra installation through one of his business partners. It all turned out great! Cam just feels like someone you can trust from the first time you meet him, and I'm glad I did! read more

I purchased two new 2020 BMW's at the end of 2019 and had a NTX Clear Bar and DRIVE Ceramic coating applied to both vehicles. I choose the two coat option for a long life of the coating. As the cars go through winter , the dirt and rain just seem to roll off the paint. this was my first experience with a clear bra and ceramic coating. I am very happy with the performance thus far. thanks Cameron. read more

I called Cam in a panic because I scratched up the side of my boyfriends car. When I showed up, he said he would do what he could to get them out. I bought a used Challenger from a one-off lot. I got a good price, but it needed a lot of work on the paint. The detail shop that the lot used swirled the paint from bumper to bumper, and on a black car it showed. The thing about Cam that I appreciated most was that he wasn't interested in just getting my car in and out with a quick wax that wouldn't last. He kept my car there for 2.5 days to make sure that he got every swirl out of the paint from bumper to bumper. Cam really blew me away; I used to detail cars, so I know what he was up against. I had owned the car for over a year, and I had never once seen it with a "showroom-quality" paint job. He's right in line with price for his competitors, but you won't get the personal touch and passion for the job from anyone else. read more

Can't comment on the quality of the work Because we never got that far. Walked in and they took a looked at my car and gave me a price of 325. I said ok then they called the owner (who was not onsite) to see if they can fit me in the next day. Say said yes but the owner without ever seeing my car changed the price to 400. How do you change the price without ever seeing the car? I guess business must be really good because the business sense seems really poor. read more

I stopped in for some advance regarding polishing out some swirls on the C7. Cam spent quite a bit of his valuable time with me as we flap-jawed about detailing and Corvettes. He explained that the polish I had been using was perhaps too aggressive for newer car clear coats and I was probably putting in more swirls than I was taking out. He recommended one of his polishes, I brought it home and fired up the ol' DA polisher - with a fantastic result. Add a couple coats of Zaino Bros. Z-5 Show Car Polish on top and the car looks dripping wet. Crystal clear paint, no swirls, halos, etc. I deeply appreciate the time Cam spent with me, plus I have a new best friend. LOL! read more
