We are soooooo grateful for Drip Dessert Lounge in Richmond! We had a group of seniors that were leaving Messina Hof, 30 minutes prior to Drip opening at 2:00pm. I called and asked if there was anyway they can open early...they opened early just for us!

Went to @dripdessert for some late night desserts. nice place to just kick back order dessert and coffee and relax. we order a slice of carrots cake and Ferrero rocher cheesecake, and a mocha iced coffee. overall both the cakes were good, and so was the iced coffee. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Second time here and still in loveeeeee. I got the Nuts for you with churros my heart everytimeeeeee. This place should always be busy. The food is amazing and the customer service is awesome as well. And they play great music as well.

Cakes behind glass but can't see them very well

After dinner we were looking for a something sweet and stumbled upon this little place. It seemed new and well decorated on the side. Felt cool , trendy and modern with the (appeared like) moon lighting. My party ordered a fondue with fruit and marshmallow and I ordered a peanut butter parfait. The fondue seemed simple but hit the spot . My peanut parfait appeared to look good but as a few minutes went by it went a bit south. Going on a Friday night they clearly had some traffic. I never received a spoon with my parfait so everyone started on the fondue and I had to get up and go to counter (with no one there everyone busy making orders) to get a spoon. They finally give me one and I came back to eat, the contents have melted a bit. Okay no problem. What I did see if very little ice cream , just mostly nuts and peanut butter candy etc. it was about half way in that basically all that looked was left was a chocolate slush of stuff. Then trouble hit yet again as the spoon was so wide and the parfait glass narrow at the bottom. That is couldnt scope anything left. So now I started eating my parfait like a milkshake. It was a bit odd and at the end of it, I felt like the parfait was "just okay" and more like something I could have made at home. I probably won't be back and I would not go out of my way for this place. -R

Grand opening of a local business. The setting is that of a classic boutique cafe with nice decor. The food was ok, however the chaos of grand opening took away from the quality in my opening. The service was awful because the staff didn't have clear understand with so many owners giving orders. What should've taken 20min to get 3items, took 2hrs. Maybe after the dust has settled, I'll try again. Congrats on the grand opening

Fairly busy business but they handle the rush with great customer service and welcoming attitudes. The employees work hard to keep tables clean as customers leave out. The cheesecakes are great because you can tell they are made by hand. The skillet cookies were fresh and you can tell are made to order. Cool late night hang out for friends or families who are craving late night treats!

Jeremiah's Italian Ice - Mini ice cream

    Jeremiah's Italian Ice

There are mostly tables for two but they do have a table for four as well. The space is clean and inviting with fun mural art on the wall. I like that there are several sizes to choose from , like their smallest (tadpole size) to large quart size. The small size is usually my go-to, as it is perfectly indulgent yet not too much to make me feel like I overdid it. The jelati is also my number one item, more favorable than just their Italian ice. The ice is smooth and flavorful unlike some other Italian ice places that create more rough/grainy ice. Their ice here is great by itself but when layered with either vanilla or chocolate soft serve ice cream, it is heavenly. The soft serve ice cream only comes in vanilla or chocolate but both are very creamy and tasty. You can get it by itself at Jeremiah's if you are not in the mood for Italian ice. Having tried several of their flavor options, my favorites are the mango, coconut, pina colada, root beer, caffe latte, and cookie butter. The fruity ones definitely are a winner in my book. Besides their regular menu, I noticed that there are seasonal items too...worth a try. Great for any solo adventure, group outing, family time, or just a treat for the kids (or kids of any age).

    Menchie's Frozen Yogurt - Toppings

    Menchie's Frozen Yogurt

Self-serve is the name of the game at Menchie's and mixing is a big part of their model: find various flavors in their yogurt bar, add in a number of toppings, and pay by the weight, followed by an immediate feeling of regret. Each of the yogurt stations have a swirl option, which is Menchie's claim to fame. Mix flavors like pure chocolate, vanilla snow or takes the cake batter and toasty marshmallow. They also have vegan friendly options in the form of sorbets, which is all fruit based like strawberry, pineapple, coconut, and paradise fruit punch. I prefer their original tart, because I'm all for the simplicity. The yogurt is average at best, despite all the fixins and there aren't enough to toppings to make it truly worthwhile. I've realized that yogurt tends to melt quicker than ice cream, so one should be eating it up come summer time. Lastly, the staff here is understandably apathetic since everything is self-serve. They could stand to wipe a table or two and keep the counters clean, but alas, they were as sticky as the floor. ___________ (#1) Which is saying a lot about the franchise.

But honestly, it sort of looked like the shop hadn't been maintained in 7 years. The chairs were pretty scratched up and looked less than clean (they should probably just be replaced). Several flavors were empty, to the point of another guest having to request one be refilled. Overall, it felt poorly maintained and just a little less than clean. The yogurt itself was pretty good, but nothing special. The toppings were the best part, but the brownie bites tasted rubbery and artificial. There wasn't really any service to speak of, other than being checked out by an employee and when the other guest asked about refilling a flavor. The person working seemed perfectly nice, but since it's a self-serve kind of thing, they didn't really have (or create) an opportunity to blow me away with their customer service. I wouldn't return, but that's just me! My bowl ended up being around $9 (price is based on weight) and I just feel like I can get better desserts from better maintained shops for around the same price, if not less. Menchie's is still nostalgic for me, though!
