Got the biscuits and gravy, have to say I was impressed with the flavor, didn't need pepper or anything. My wife got the chicken and waffles. She was also impressed with the food. Also got a meat pie, would have liked it to be crisper but the flavor reminded me of the Jamaican meat pies I have had at other establishments. Had a little bit of spice but not too much. All of our food came it as hot as we would have expected. They must have been having AC issues, it was a bit "sticky" and they had a portable AC and fan running. Crazy. Y'all, they've got that right! Lazy Saturday afternoon, staying down at the state park and finding a late breakfast via Yelp (we're here at 12:30p) The place is empty, just one sever and one cook. Come to find out, the rest of the staff is out at a catering gig. So, limited menu (as in: you can order the Adam's Plater and breakfast tacos, and that's it). We'll make the best of it, with two Adam's Platters, two brisket tacos, and two cinnamon muffins. Only to find out, they have no cinnamon muffins. So, we'll switch out for blueberry instead. Four TVs on the wall. Only one working. Oh boy. Y'all, this is getting crazy! Blueberry muffin- well, it's ok. Reminds me of the giant pack of 12 you'd get from Costco. Slather on some butter and you're in a good spot. On to the platters: one came out first, along with our two tacos. My scrambled eggs have bacon in them (not a bad thing, just not what I ordered) but the side of bacon is perfectly crisp and thick. Skin on red potatoes have great flavor but they're lukewarm. Toast is just toast. My brisket taco has INCREDIBLE flavor, but it's really dry. Now, had I put eggs in the taco, that would have been the star, for sure. Still waiting on the second platter.... And Brandon has checked back in twice now to make sure they're getting it right. And, the platter arrived (long after I finished mine) with WAY undercooked eggs (whites still extremely wet, not even close to over medium (just a runny yoke)). So, back it goes. And here we go again- eggs got flipped, definitely look better. Hubs is loving dipping the skin on potatoes into the runny yolks. Crazy y'all. So crazy! This place has the flavors, that'll be the redeeming quality, but we'd be concerned that they'll make if if the kitchen can't keep up. Here's to hoping they can figure it out. Cute quiet cafe in a small shopping. There's patio dining option. They have coffee smoothie shakes and Red Bull with alcohol drinks too. Food there were chicken and fries the kids love. Where do I begin! This place is everything! I have been living in the area for about 2 years and always went to Subway next door because I thought they only had coffee stuff. Well one day I decided to shassay my way in there and honey from the moment I walked in I loved it. The decor is awesome, the friendliness wrapped with amazing energy was the icing on the cake. Then I ate THE CHOCOLATE CAKE while I waited, the chef spoiled me and decorated it with pretty glaze and strawberries! I do not even know where to start. The first thing is there is no Crazy Coffee!!!! Just normal coffees I can buy anywhere. Do not have a name that gets me excited and then is a major disappointment. Second issue is they were out of a bunch of food items. Third issue is the muffin case looks so pathetic. Fourth issue is we were given apple juice that expires tomorrow! WTF people!!!!!!!! And several other bottles drinks are expired as well!!! Fifth issue is the opened container of jams are only good for three months after opening, and had no openings date on them. On the same lines the jam containers say to refrigerate after opening, which they were not!!! That is revolting. 6th issue is the eggs and potatoes were so salty they were inedible. Good food and service. The owner, Mr. Adam, came to table and spoke and was very welcoming. Generous portion sizes and everything was delicious. This place is awesome! My omelette was so fresh. I didn't have a super heavy feeling after eating it like I usually do at breakfast places. My husband and kids got the pancakes and they were really light and fluffy. The bacon was crispy like I like it! We stopped by yesterday for breakfast. It's a retro diner style look. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the staff are amazing. The chef stopped by to introduce himself and make sure we were happy with our selections. We chose biscuits and gravy with sausage and a biscuit, egg, sausage, cheese sandwich with breakfast potatoes and coffee. The food is very good. Try the potatoes, home style and not frozen. Our lovely waitress brought us a sample each of sausage chicken gumbo and spinach dip to share. Very good! Coffee was nice and hot. They also offer a selection of muffins and kolaches at the counter if you are in a hurry. Also serve lunch and dinner. I'll snap a pic of the menu tomorrow.
