Walked in first time workers just stared at me nobody said one word. Wasn't sure where to order until I looked up lol. Once I got to the order stop everyone just kept working didn't say like one minute or welcome in or nothing. Finally a guy came to take my order again didn't say a word just stared at me finally he spoke when I said my order all nonchalant and a look like he hates it there. This place and its owner are #epic! I could leave it at that, but that would be much fun now, would it? While I'm of the firm belief that all Firehouse Subs are created equally great, what makes this place epic, as described above is this restaurant's owner. Raj, as he's affectionately known, has gone above and beyond for his community, and year after year he's recognized by many local entities including: schools, police departments, fire departments, etc. for his commitment to those his restaurant serves. His restaurant has also helped many first responders to gain access to life-saving equipment through The Firehouse Foundation, a non-profit organization that uses your "round-up" money that they ask for at the register. With that in mind, I'd like to ask you to say "yes" the next time you're asked. For those that donate on a regular basis, please know that it helps. Ok, back to the food itself... I am definitely hooked on their hook and ladder - Every bite is a flavor explosion that will leave you wanting more. I found the ingredients to be high quality - from the meats to the cheeses to the bread, everything is made with care and attention to detail and I could certainly taste the difference. I went there once because I had a coupon but was not impressed.the place was stinking of cleaning solution that was way too strong. It smelled like pine sol and infiltrated my lungs and made my stomach turn. I lost my appetite but ended up getting the food to go. It was not that good. It was bland and a normal portion of meat cost extra. It was expensive and I felt like this is very similar to Quiznos, like the meat is steamed or boiled. They greet you when you come in that's a plus. The place was busy and had around 6 people behind the counter, so I'm not sure how they are supposed ot manage but I did see a few of them not wearing gloves and the guy that helped me out, he was the cashier took off his gloves, then rung me up and I paid cash, he put his gloves back on and started helping to make sandwiches, Did not wash his hands, but on the good side he was nice. I just think that has to do more with hygene. The sandwiches were a good size, and tasted good. Food is always good but customer service needs adjustment. I walked in to pick up my online order at 10:22am and the lady just looked at me until I said something! No good morning, no welcome to firehouse, no hi, NOTHING! Just literally stared at me with a blank face until I said why I was there. Then when I told her I was there for my online order, she said for 10:35? I said yes and she proceeded to say they do not open until 10:30....one why is the door open if y'all are closed and two I did not know that they opened at 10:30! I won't be returning to this unpleasant location. Just rude people with attitudes that I don't want to encounter. Do better! Don't know the ladies name who I encountered but for reference she is Asian with colored contacts and long hair. Hope managers see this review and take disciplinary action. I stopped by to inquire about getting 50 boxed lunches for my wedding in less than a week. I spoke to Raj who looked like the owner of the store about picking the food up at 9:30 which the restaurant wouldn't even be opened until 10:30. He didn't even hesitate to say yes about picking it up at 9:30. The restaurant went above and beyond with my expectations. I stopped in right before closing time tonight( I feel really bad about that) and got the absolute best service ever. The gentleman that took my order was super fast, the people making the subs moved so fast I think I had 3 large subs in less than 10 minutes. I just got home and finally got to eat. This is the best sub I've ever had from any firehouse location. Perfectly made. I just wanted to let them know how much I appreciate them and encourage everyone to stop in (NOT at closing!) and get a fantastic sub! I eat here regularly but recently got "the engineer" with sautéed mushrooms. Got a stint of food poisoning for 3 days so I'm avoiding the mushrooms from now on. Hopefully this is just a rare 1 time thing. Other than that I'm still eating here. read more

Clean space and efficient service. A staff dedicated to their craft and they are always welcoming. The smoked brisket sandwich is a must have! Been here several times over the course of 3 years and they never disappoint. Keep up the great service. Today was a great visit. Usually the staff is underwhelming today the least. For awhile, every visit had an error...Usually no pickles. I LOVE PICKLES. :). Today, everyone was paying attention to me as the customer not on their phone or talking to their friends in the dining area or working with them behind the counter. Customer service is everything. It's the only thing that sets your business apart. Today was a winner. My sandwich was really good. I got brisket and cheddar and I topped it with sissy sauce #2. Yummo. Sandwiches nowhere near as packed as they are pictured, at least the cheesesteak and chicken salad that I ordered. They were OK, though. I don't see anything in particular to set this apart from other sandwich shops. Seemed pretty clean, but they don't have their actual sanitation rating posted yet. (Not their fault - I don't know why it takes the city so long to get the certificate to newly opened restaurants; I just know that it does.) Cute mural of a fire station with "Rosenberg" on it. Nice cool hangout spot, like the idea of helping out firefighters or the organization itself. The wheat bread was good, I thought I was going to get a vegetable patty in my sub, but I instead got all the vegetables that I had chosen. Some of the vegetables did not look fresh, but the taste of the sweet bread masked it. The original in house hot sauce is the bomb and so is the hot bee mustard. Neat place, not many vegetarian options, i tried a piece of my friends grilled chicken it was good. Also didn't even have lettuce in my so called veggie sandwich. The sandwiches and service are great. My favorites are the Hook & Ladder and The Engineer. I love that they serve the subs hot. They also have a Coca Cola Freestyle soda machine. Yes! The oatmeal raisin cookies are also great. The owner does a lot for the community so we are happy to support them. Great little lunch or dinner spot. They have ample seating fir multiple parties. Went here with a friend and I must say both times I've been here the service was great. Ordering is quick and easy. No complicated menu. The food is awesome. Fast and fresh. I mean the steam was still coming off the meat when I got it. They have a good selection of hot sauce and BBQ sauce. But I must warn you. If you have. It tried the 357 hot sauce. DONT DO IT! I I like spicy food and all that good stuff but shit. That sucker will sneak up on you and hit you hard. If you do try it don't be like me and put it on the whole sub. Went for lunch today at 1:00 pm and the place was very dirty. I know it was right after lunch but they need to keep the tables wiped down and trash cans empty. There were food crumbles on the floor and the ice machine was empty not to mention in an inconvenient location. I asked for some sauce and was pointed to the end of the bar. All of the 1/2 dozen sauces were almost empty and the lids were filthy from being used over and over. This location was a lot cleaner on past visits. Pretty decent sandwich place located in Brazos Town Center. The sandwiches are a lot better than Subway in my opinion and the bread seems to be of a higher quality. The meats also. Fresher tasting. The combos are all pretty good deals and I opted for the Hook and Ladder which was a ham and turkey combo with a unique tasting sandwich spread on wheat. They served it hot with a side of chips and a drink and it hit the spot! Actually the sandwiches are generous portions and two can actually split it. One you're feeling pretty stuffed! The decor inside is typical firehouse stuff hence the name and the staff was very friendly and attentive. While there I noticed someone had just left their cell phone at the register and an employee immediately snatched it up and darted out the door to see if he could catch the customer and he did! That's great customer service for you! The sandwiches came up fast and tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So if you're ever in The Rosenberg/Richmond check out Fireside Subs! As for the customer service, they are polite and courteous and work to service the customers quickly. My car locked me out, outside of firehouse.EVERY single one of the employees including the owner of the facility stepped in to make me feel comfortable about my situation.
