Ok service. I used to frequent a coffee shop in Reno that switched to this coffee. They changed a few other things so I assumed it wasn't the coffee. Was looking forward to trying it from the source. I'm not a fan for sure. They're baristas either poorly trained or it's just poorly roasted as a whole. I am going to risk taking a few ounces of whole beans home and try myself for a final review. read more

Incredibly location, well designed, and solid coffee. These folks put their heart into it. It gets busy though, so you may have to be patient. It's worth the wait. However, if you're like Molly N. (further down) and want a triple shot then you're out of luck--there's a Starbucks down the road and they host Amateur Hour from 7am to 9 pm. read more

Drink Coffee has been on my list ever since I saw their opening sign. dropped by today (Tuesday) when it wasn't very crowded. interior is super cute and everyone's very friendly. they have a couple of chairs outside as well. the chai latte definitely powered me through the 50 min walk back home :) looking forward to trying out their drip coffee next time! read more

A must try if you are a coffee drinker! I tried a couple of the other places nearby while visiting, not impressed AT ALL. But this place I went back to three times in 4 days lol. Very professional staff and very flavorful coffee. I tried three different menu drinks over the 4 days and all were amazing! Don't waste your time or money elsewhere...just go here! This was my second time trying this place out as I've been to the Incline Village location in Nevada, and I can say this cute coffee shop does not disappoint! I decided not to go for my typical vanilla latte this time, so the barista recommended the Purple Haze Latte. I ended up quite enjoying the latte as you could taste a light lavender flavor, but did not overpower the taste of the coffee. I'm not a super taster so I could no longer taste the lavender into the middle of the drink, however it was still enjoyable. I appreciate how they don't make their drinks piping hot so you can actually sip them right away when it's ready. The service was excellent and everyone was really friendly. A plus is the stickers they leave around the shop for you to take! read more

We were excited to try this coffee shop since they did offer smoothies (which is a selling point for my husband when he wants to go to a coffee shop with me), however I would have to say the smoothie was not tasty & really quite diluted. I had the Pines Latte that was very savory & enjoyable in contrast, so I would recommend just coming for the coffee. The customer service was also spotty; cashier was super nice but when I went to say thank you to the barista when picking up our drink after she sort of plopped our drinks at the pick up station, she "yea" very shortly. I just found it super strange. It wasn't the greatest first impression overall, but perhaps the staff was just having a rough day? read more

I would not consider myself a coffee shop connoisseur by any means but this coffee shop is above and beyond and worth going out of your way for. Coffee is GREAT - everything from their fancier drinks (hello horchata toddy) to their canned coffee. Baked goods are good too (my toddler crushed a huge slice of their zucchini bread). Love the vibe of both this location and their Incline shop. The staff is wonderful. Perfect place to grab something quick to go or even hang out and do a little work. read more

The coffee I have had here is good but unfortunately the workers don't wear masks. Even though it is required by the county. If the owners cared about public safety and the well-being of their customers they would follow the rules and have their workers wear a mask! Go to Coffee Bar or Zuri instead! They're great local spots who care about public health!! read more

This is my personal favorite coffee shop on the north side of the lake. Consistency is the key here! In truckee we are lucky to have a handful of really rad coffee shops. All good for different things. But for me... DCDS is the most consistent. Not only with their quality of drinks but also with available beans. The Guji though! Mmm so good! This place is awesome! I rolled in with my Black Rifle Coffee Company cup full of nasty gas station coffee hoping to be relieved of that awful brew. I don't recommend if you want to do stuff/get stuff done. It's loud and they won't turn it down to a reasonable volume. So 2 stars because their prices are reasonable but customer service and atmosphere is lacking. It's not ideal for 7am, it's not ideal if you want to get work done and it's not ideal if you are overstimulated easily. read more

We stopped into this cozy little coffee shop in Truckee and were instantly greeted with warm smiles and an even warmer atmosphere. The staff was so friendly -- they even gave our dog a pup cup, which completely made her day! But the real star was the pumpkin pie latte -- hands down the best we've ever had.
