I hadn't been in for a while, the individual who performed my pedicure was rough and was scraping my nails with force, once he removed the gel polish. After I asked him to trim my an in grown nail he ended up cutting me. Never had this happen before. Anywhere else. His colleague stepped in and she finished the pedicure to only forget to put lotion on my legs and feet. When I went to pay they didn't provide any compensation, it's my fault for asking to have them trim my the extra skin build up. So I paid full price. It will be difficult to come back. read more

Went to dream spa to get my nails done. Even on a Thursday afternoon parking is hard to come by in this parking lot. So beware you might have to walk for a bit. I liked my lady she was Nu d and complimented my color choice a lot. My only complaint would be that my nails aren't straight some did come out crooked. Which she said was because my fingers aren't straight. No biggie at all. But considering I've gotten my nails done multiple times before and this is the first time I'm told this and see this kind of confuses me. I'm not sure if she just did my nails differently from other places or my fingers got like this over time. So now I want to try going somewhere else before I visit dream spa again. read more

I booked the "Heavenly Head Bath" experience through ClassPass since I had a lot of credits to use. It was 45 credits (roughly $90), which is about the same as similar treatments in Austin. The description on the website doesn't really explain much, so I didn't know what to expect, but overall I enjoyed the experience! When I arrived, the receptionist brought me to the changing room/bathroom area and gave me a towel and robe to wear. You keep your pants on and only undress from the waist up, so be sure to wear comfortable clothing! They have lockers to keep your stuff in since there isn't really anywhere to put your things in the room. After a few minutes, Mai, the person doing my treatment, came to get me and escorted me to the head bath room. The room had a few beds, so I'm not sure if they do multiple treatments at once, but I was the only one there at the time. The room was dimly lit with relaxing music playing. Mai helped me get comfortable on the bed using pillows and several blankets. I felt like I was in a cocoon and I definitely could have fallen asleep! The actual treatment consists of quite a few different things. There is a facial, which includes cleansing, exfoliating, and a few different moisturizing masks. It was somewhat hard to tell what she was doing with my hair, but it seemed like she did a hair mask at first and then went in and scrubbed my scalp with her fingers and nails later. She was very thorough! My favorite parts were the massages. Mai stretched out my neck, and massaged my temples, forehead, neck, shoulders, forearms, hands, and right below my collarbones which felt amazing. She was quite gentle, which was perfect for me, but if you're used to more intense massages you may be disappointed. The massages were mixed in between the treatments, probably so that the masks could soak in. Mai ended up going at least 15 minutes over the time allotted, which I really appreciated! Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but there were a few cons to consider before booking. I think that the products used during the facial are not the best for sensitive skin, and I ended up breaking out over half my face in the following days. I did notice that the exfoliating mask had what felt like sugar granules, which I generally avoid since they can cause skin damage. The hydrating mask had a strong artificial cucumber fragrance, which could have also been what irritated my skin. They make it very clear when booking that the treatment does not include any kind of hair drying or blowout service, which I understood, but it still wasn't ideal leaving the spa with soaking wet hair. They do have a blow dryer and a brush in the bathroom for anyone to use, but don't seem to have any styling products, so be sure to bring your own. Lastly, the changing room/bathroom is the same area that people getting their nails done have access to, so it could be somewhat uncomfortable if you're changing and someone walks in unexpectedly. The best parts of this experience were definitely the massage and the results I saw in my scalp! Immediately after drying my hair, I noticed that it felt lighter than usual and it was super shiny. I think the treatments may have even temporarily boosted my hair texture, so my waves were less frizzy than usual. In summary: I would recommend booking this treatment if you want to experience the head bath or a scalp treatment. The massage was a nice bonus! If you have sensitive skin, I would recommend telling the person doing your treatment so that they can avoid using anything irritating. I will say that it doesn't feel as luxe or relaxing as some other spa experiences, but I think that's to be expected since it's in a nail salon. Mai and the other staff I interacted with were super sweet, and I will definitely consider coming back to try their other treatments! read more

I went in for a french manicure yesterday and my nails are all uneven and lumpy. my thumb was where I should have just asked for a new tech because she showed me the nails as she was applying the white polish for the french tip and I asked her if she could fix my thumb because it was super uneven. She redid it but she kept added more polish and not leaving long enough them to cure under the uv light. When I left the salon on my drive home my thumb nail started oozing with wet polish and I realized my nails were lumpy and I woke up this morning (the next day) to several of my nails peeled back due to not being dried properly. This was my first time in a while getting my nails done and it was so disappointing I don't think I will be going to get them done again anytime soon after this experience. Update: They offered to fix my damaged nails for free (thank you to the lady who fixed them the fixed nails are better than the rest of the set!:3) They apparently have a 7 day warranty on any damaged nails. However, they requested that i delete my review because of this and I will not. I feel as though this review still deserves to be expressed due to how lumpy the rest of the set is, as well as little black hairs that are in the polish and now on my nails from the previous application. I went in for a dip mani on June 15. and the product they used was subpar. The dip was cracking and chunks of the product chipped off my nail two days ago. I was told they only guarantee a dip manicure for 1 week. Allie (person who answered the phone) told me I need to pay for an entire set of nails. The products Dream Spa used were either old or defective because I've had my nails done for over 40 years and I've never had a set go bad after two weeks. I've never had a salon not at least try to make an effort to make me happy. They weren't interested in making it right... only having me come in and pay more money. I asked the person on the phone (Allie again) if it was worth a bad Yelp review to not fix my nails and I was told I could do what I needed to do to "make myself feel better." The place was clean enough, but I did notice A LOT of nail dust EVERYWHERE. The bottle the technician used was old and had dried-on product at the tip of the bottle. Should have been my first clue. I asked to speak with the manager or owner to confirm the policy of not doing any touch ups or fixes after 1 week, and was told neither the owner nor the manager was at the salon to speak to me. They would have to call me back. I'm still waiting to hear from someone. Looks like Dream Spa was a bit of a nightmare for me. I hope your experience is a better one. read more

When I described what kind of color I wanted he found the perfect one. And these have held up so far! My nails are notorious for lifting (in as little as four or five days) and it's been 6 days with no sign of lifting. But...This place gave us both toenail fungus for $200! They do not professionally sanitize here. They didn't open fresh tools when doing our pedis or my nails. It's a week later and my big toenails are falling off. See photo. I noticed my right big toenail was lifting. It's completely lifted off and only attached at the cuticle now. Very painful. My bf's toenails are yellow. As for my acrylic set, the other technician did a decent job and said she could do a design I had in mind, but it didn't come out well at all. Don't expect Instagram nails here. The place was empty except for 2 others when we were there yet our services were so rushed. I like that it is a generally quiet environment, more relaxing. Everyone I interacted with was kind. I haven't had a pedicure in 10 years because I have nerve damage from surgery in my foot. The young man who did my pedicure was very careful with that foot and I appreciate it! My pedicure felt great and looks great. I only took one star off because my gel manicure could have been better but it's a manicure and I'll get them done again in a couple weeks so no biggie!
