I purchased a floating session gift certificate for my wife as a present for Valentine's Day. On the scheduled date and time, she took a taxi to the provided address, only to discover that the owner had sent a text message shortly before saying the session was canceled due to a sudden power outage. What's disappointing is that they didn't call to make sure she actually received the message -- they only sent an SMS. As a result, we still had to pay for a round-trip taxi. My wife requested a refund, and they initially agreed. They told us the refund had been processed and that it would take about 1-2 weeks to arrive. After two weeks passed with no refund, we contacted them again. At that point, the owner stopped responding completely -- no replies to messages, emails, or phone calls from either of us. At first, we even considered that something serious might have happened, like a medical emergency, and decided to wait a bit longer. However, more than a month has now passed, and we still haven't received the refund. Meanwhile, new reviews continue to appear online, which suggests the business is operating as usual. We tried reaching out again multiple times, but received no response. It appears that our numbers may have been blocked. The website looked quite professional and trustworthy, which influenced our decision to purchase the service. However, the actual experience has been very disappointing. I understand that a power outage is not necessarily their fault. I can even accept the inconvenience of the taxi situation, although a phone call instead of just a text message would have been more responsible. I could also understand potential technical delays with issuing a refund. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of accountability -- ignoring customers, not responding to any communication, and possibly blocking our contact attempts. This feels highly unprofessional and irresponsible. In the end, we received neither the service, nor the refund, nor even an apology. read more

It's World Float Day! I've never done it before and have always wanted to do so after a massage from a local therapist who's done it and explained how amazing it was. Making an appointment is super easy using a link off their instagram @dreamfloathi where there are single or three float packs. On this day it was half of float and I couldn't resist that offer to give them a try and am so glad I did. Feeling is quite incredible...a cloud...most say and it's basically NOTHING. You're in a pod filled with about 10 inches of water that's filled with epsom salt which makes you float leaving you to your own thoughts and space all I could hear was my own breathing and if it doesn't bother you I took off my ear plugs which made it ever more silent besides my heartbeat and once your session is done a calming music plays. In our own separate chambers, we both left the float chamber door slightly ajar (For me, scaredy-cat maybe lol. Completely shut equals complete darkness). I did a thing today and floated at Float Hawaii. Floating is when you are put into a deprivation chamber/pod, and you float on about 10-12 inches of water. You're able to float so well because there is so much Epsom salt mixed with the water. I felt like what astronauts must feel like at 0 gravity. It took about 10 minutes for my body to "settle" and from there time wasn't a thought, just the darkness. Just alone with my thoughts which weren't many lol. I don't know if I fell asleep or not but the 70ish minutes flew by. 6 hours later and I feel so relaxed, I'm definitely going back as I've already booked 2 more appointments. Geoff is very friendly and has a calming nature. The place is very clean. Communication leading up to your appointment is second to none. They have two tanks: a large and a smaller tank. I floated in the larger tank. I bought the 3 float introductory pack. They also have occasional Groupon specials. Booking an appointment is online and very easy. Floating, or sensory deprivation tank, as it is also called, is just that. You are floating in a dark and quiet tank. It is very relaxing. It is to the mind/soul what a massage is to the muscles. I felt rejuvenated after the float. My mind was clear. Things to keep in mind are if you have cuts or just shaved, it will sting a bit. This is relaxation on a different level! My husband and I got curious about "floating tanks" when our friend mentioned it to us. So good 'ole curious me opened my Yelp app and searched for "floating tank" and Dream Float Hawaii appeared on the top search. There are only three (3) floating tanks/spa here in Oahu and I chose Dream Float due to the amount of positive reviews and for earning a solid five (5) stars for each of them. I thought that this would be a good birthday gift for my husband, and serves as a way to relax myself too. I booked the couple's float via their website. Their website contains everything you need to know about floating, what to expect from it, do's and don'ts, FAQs. I really went through all the information that I can gather since it will be our first time doing it. Communication was excellent leading up to our appointment. I received an email confirmation immediately after booking, an appointment reminder email 24 hours prior to our appointment - and the spa owner, Geoff, even texted me a couple of hours before our appointment just to check in and provide their address. We arrived to their location which in a residential area uphill in the Kahala area and there were lots of street parking. As soon as we entered the gate, we were welcomed by the serene view overlooking the ocean. Then we heard a friendly "hello" from inside the house and it was Geoff. He got us all settled in first and didn't rush us to be ready, so we were able to ask a few more questions from him before we start our float session. The location was really clean and there's artwork to admire. Geoff gave us a tour and a rundown of what we needed to do before and after we float. We had our own private shower, complete with amenities to include soap and shampoo. He also has eye wash in case you get salt water in your eyes. Ear plugs were also provided. I chose to be in the Escape Pod and my husband went to the Orion Float Tank. It wasn't hard to float as the salt water forced me to do it. The water temperature was perfect, I felt like I was floating in space. I adjusted my arms until I felt comfortable, closed my eyes, embraced the darkness, and allowed the silence to take over my head. All I heard was my breathing and my heartbeat. I do have a hard time meditating on my own, and I felt like I was in a higher level of peace for the first time. Though it took me a few minutes, I was able to clear my head of all thoughts and allowed my to be "one" with myself . After a whole 60 minutes of floating in complete peace, I heard relaxing music to let me know that it's time to go back out in reality. After getting showered and settling back to daylight, Geoff had water and Acai juice to refresh us. We hung out for a bit as the ocean view continued to relax us. We chatted with Geoff for a few and he even shared his personal experience with floating as well. The relaxation didn't stop as we got home and slept like babies! This was one of the most usually relaxing therapeutic session I've ever expected! Honestly the only time I've heard of this kind of sensory deprivation was in Stranger Things. It was surprisingly relaxing and calming. Geoff Sato was so accommodating and informative with my first float. He walks you through what to expect with great tips of what to do and not to do. The grounds are beautiful with a spectacular view of Kahala and the South East coast of Oahu. The view was almost with the time itself. Dream Float has two tanks to choose from, a small and a large tank. I was fortunate enough to do my first load large tank and it was more what I expect in my mind. The tanks are filled with a heavy salt solution that gives you the sensation of floating, kind of like what I heard happens at the Dead Sea. My tank had also had a remote control for the lights in the tank. When you are ready and in comfortable position in the tank you turn off the lights and it is so dark that it doesn't matter if you open or close your eyes. Since you also have air plugs to prevent the solution to get a New Year's are you can hear your heartbeat. Some people choose to meditate I chose to meditate on God and reflect on past year and my future. It is so dark and quiet that you start to get into state of total relaxation and calm. Time starts to stand still in the darkness and quite and it seems like you are in there forever, but by the time you know it the lights slowly fade back on and music starts to play in the tank to let you know your time is up. Fast and easy booking online and friendly service over the phone with questions. All info can be found on website too. They have two tanks, one that you can stand in like 10feet tall and another that is small and can not stand in. Doors do not lock to float chamber so you will not get locked in, it's just a door you can open and close. You can go in and out as much as you like. They have showers and toilet in you privet area so you can get out and use them when you are ready. I took off a star because this is not for everyone. My wife was uncomfortable with being naked in the tank. You have to shower, then go in the tank naked. She could not relax because she simple was naked. She showered and left the tanks early. For me, I have ADHD! The whole time I was turning on my tummy, to see if I can float. Turning around and around. Trying different whys to move and float. Splashing around, feeling how thick the water is. So I didn't feel that relaxed. When we both got out, we enjoyed the view and hung out, outside. It's nice to sit out there and you are welcomed to come really and sit and enjoy the view and also after the float you can do the same. We were giving water and an açaí drink too. We both felt like we could get better results floating in our tub at home with our own Epson salt. But since I have bought a few floats, I will try again and try to relax and meditate. If you haven't done a float spa, you should because it was amazing. Beautiful morning and ride to downtown. Amazing communication and directions via email followed by a reminder text. Got to the place early and there is a gorgeous view of town. I received a brief of how to float and relax, got a tour of the pod, took a shower, & got in. With it being 10 times saltier than the ocean, it was pretty simple to ease in to just float. I was able to lay out completely with no anxiety of claustrophobia or anything. Very dark & quiet inside, just laying there thinking about thoughts, working on breathing techniques. I felt completely in control and relaxed. Sometimes I didn't know if I was sleeping & dreaming or just laying and thinking. It was absolutely wonderful. When the hour was over, the music started playing and the dim light came on. If you have never floated anywhere, do it. If you meditate but haven't floated, do it. I won't explain the whole experience, there are plenty of other websites for that - I'll just say it is amazing. Dream Float Hawaii is my favorite spot on the island. Some of the things I look for in a Float Spa: Workers/Owners: Geoff and crew are GREAT. Always helpful, and sometimes will extend your float by 10 minutes or so if no one is immediately after you. Tanks: Needs at least two for couples/friends who want to do a session together. Dream Float has two. Further, one is a newer tank where you can stand when you enter. Much larger so you won't bump into the sides as often, little/no condensation dripping down, and no feelings of claustrophobia some have with the smaller tanks. Cleanliness: Dream Float is immaculate. From the bathroom to the tank, it has always been spotless and extremely clean. Ambiance: Perfect. Dream Float is located on a hill overlooking the ocean near Aina Haina. When you get done with your float you can sit in a reclining chair, sip the Acai juice and water they provide, and remind yourself how lucky you are to be in Hawaii! This is a great way to relax and refocus your mind and body. I prefer the 90 min float even if my body relaxes within a couple of minutes, my monkey mind needs a little more time. It is not claustrophobic at all and looking at the art before going in helps ease and prime.your mind for a peaceful experience. Really interesting experience. Taken here by a friend. My first time w a float tank. Geoff was very patient and kind and explained how the whole procedure works. You shower first, in his bathroom shower, which is very clean and stocked well with soap and shampoo and sandals. Then you enter the float tank completely naked and float around in the salt water. The only thing to know is that this water does get cold after a while. I was not aware of this, and have a low body temperature to begin with so I was pretty cold by the end. At the end of the float you go back into the bathroom and shower off again. Geoff was very kind and also offered me some water because I was thirsty halfway through. Stressed? Anxiety? Insomnia? Well then you need to try this out. At first, I was a little skeptical as I could just go and meditate in peace by myself and probably achieve the same thing. WRONG! My first experience, I will tell you that I was a little nervous. The thought of being in a capsule, in the dark, no sound or light and just floating? Well mind you, I've always had this fear that I would be buried alive. That was my initial thought, but it does show you how the mind is a powerful tool. Upon arriving, you will fall in the love with the view. Its pretty breath taking to see all of the East side, the Ocean and the backside of Diamond Head. It what would expect when you need to relax or needing to clear your mind. Greeted by a friendly staff, they will answer any questions you may have. If this is your first time, they will go through the process on what you need to do, how you need to do it and also explain the benefits. After prepping...cover any cuts with petroleum gel, taking a shower and just being clean...you enter the capsule. It will be a little slippery but there are safety handle bars to assist you to get in. Once you are in, you just sit back, relax and clear your mind. Everyone will float as the salinity is high! You will be amazed. Honestly, in the beginning, you mind is going to be racing. Thoughts, things you have to do, things you never did etc. But give it about 5-10 minutes and relax. You have to really let all that to be released. Once you can achieve this, your mind will be free and clear. After this experience, Ive read numerous articles about the benefits of floating. Sensory deprivation at it's finest. Add the relief of all gravities effects on your body and you have Dream Float Hawaii. I've been a member since their beginning 4 years ago and the only difficulty I have is getting myself there often enough. I feel that floating once a week would be great for my mental health but practically I'm lucky if I make it there monthly. But it's no worries with my membership as any unused floats just roll over to the following month. One of the key elements to making Dream Float Hawaii so nice and relaxing is its setting. It's in a residential neighborhood and in fact is in the bottom level of a large home with a beautiful view. It helps set the tone both before and after your float. The guys that run it are pleasant to chat with, informative and keep their two tanks and facilities pristine. First time floater today. What an amazing psychedelic experience. When I arrived I was greeted and was educated on how to float. After I showered I got in the pod and begin my float session. I found that most comfortable with my arms above my head while on my back. For the first third of the float session I felt like I was on LSD. I was tripping and seeing creatures that you would see at the bottom of the sea and I also saw lights while in pitch black. It was such a psychedelic experience. After my brain finally relaxed I felt like my mind shut off. I wasn't thinking about anything and I felt like I was floating in space in complete darkness. While in that state I think I was sleeping, but kind of awake. My body was twitching and I feel like I might've been snoring too. For the final phase I was tripping like I was in the womb and ready to come out. When you lift your hands out of the water while floating they feel 10 times heavier like gravity is really strong I've never done psychedelic drugs before, but I think this is as close as you can get to that high read more

My son brought us here as a surprise while we were vacationing in Hawaii. What a totally awesome experience! You go to this gentleman's home and he has two float tanks available. The experience is something I will never forget. You shower and then enter the float tank and the salt water just allows you to float effortlessly. My session was an hour long and so relaxing I fell asleep. You shower again when you are done. Everything you would need is provided for you like soap,shampoo, and towels. This place is fantastic! It's super easy to find, nice neighborhood, and plenty of parking. It's an awesome experience from the second you walk in door! The ambiance is perfect--very relaxing and peaceful. Shawn was there to greet me and super great the whole time. It was very clean and there was absolutely nothing to worry about. The float tank was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. I've struggled with depression and insomnia for a couple of years now and very few times felt complete relief of the depression, but I did in the float tank and for the rest of the day after! I've been meditating every day for the last six months at least 20 minutes a day, but usually not longer than 40 minutes. I did a 60-minute float and I could have easily gone another hour. Time didn't pass too quickly, or drag on. I was able to relax in a way I never have and get to a mental state I strive for every day in meditation.
