Been waiting a while to write a review so I can fully assess how The Aquarian has helped me…read more.. starting like 6 months prior to me going, I started getting severe bloating even when no food was in my stomach. Like I looked 6 months pregnant all the time even before meals. I eat healthy so I was at a loss to what was causing it. I also am normally 160 lbs and don't fluctuate at all, but in the last 6 months, I was up to 168 lbs and was so confused why because my lifestyle never changed at all. My doctor tried to convince me that I had to go on antidepressants (?) for my gut health (!!??) which I thought was absurd. My doctor basically said best case scenario, I get transferred to GI and they do a bunch of tests for a lot of money and then they diagnose me with IBS. There's apparently no treatment or cure for IBS so I wasn't satisfied with this, especially since I didn't always have the bloating issue. My mom told me that she secretly went to a colon hydrotherapist and it helped her and when she told me what that was I was seriously grossed out but also so uncomfortable from the bloating and so desperate. I called him and honestly thought he was kind of cocky, but didn't have another option so I went. I was so nervous but he was really chill and make me comfortable. It's basically in his apartment which is kind of weird, but he was clean, had the right supplies, and I've been two times already! Gonna make my third appointment right now. Back down to my regular 160 lbs from doing nothing, so I guess it was just 8 lbs of poop stored up lol. During the process, he was extremely knowledgeable and What I've learned is that you should just do what he says. It works. He may be blunt, but just don't be sensitive and it will help you! He even gave me this clay to put on my skin because he said I had an uneven skin tone LOL but let me tell you that clay worked so good and I'm buying my own! The fiber that he gave me I was suspicious about but listened and took it every day. Totally helped and sooooo much came out on my second visit I was SHOCKED and kind of horrified. After the second visit, my "bloating" was still relatively flat stomach evne after eating food and I thought I was cured so I stopped taking the fiber. After 6 weeks, the bloating came back! I immediately started taking the fiber again and am going to make another appointment for maintenance. The fiber, although very gross, works like a charm. Overall, totally worth it!

I had knee replacement surgery on January 21, 2026. My first Moon PT appointment was on January…read more27th. During my appointment, the PT told me he had to speak with the TENS machine representative and left me alone on the table for 20 minutes. He returned, moved my leg a few times, and said I was finished. My second appointment was on January 30th. The PT told me to ride the bike, but he didn't help me get on or advise me on how fast or slow to pedal. After I got off the bike, he performed the same exercises I was already doing at home, as prescribed by my knee surgeon. There were 30 minutes remaining in my appointment when he put on his jacket and told me he was leaving. He instructed the aide to guide me through exercises on the laptop. I inquired about the aid's education, and she stated she had an undergraduate degree in Health, but no PT certificates or degrees. It is illegal in HI to leave a patient with an unqualified aid without a PT present. I canceled all my future appointments with Moon PT and requested a refund of my co-payment. Moon PT is a very unprofessional and uncaring facility. I question the qualifications of the PTs and aids. The PT I saw was very impersonal and unprofessional. My knee surgeon recommended a different PT facility, but I chose Moon PT because it was close to my home, and I wanted to support a new business. This was my mistake. I had major knee replacement surgery and was treated very poorly at Moon PT. I will never recommend Moon PT to anyone.

We booked two 90 minute massages with a 15 minute steam ahead of the massage. When we arrived they had us take off our shoes and gave us sandals to use, we also selected scents for the rooms and our tea preference. From there they showed us our rooms and had us change into robes before heading into the steam. While the space is too small for couples massages, we were able to go in the steam together and after we went into a room to drink our water/tea and relax ahead of the massage. Once they took us into the room the music was relaxing and they did a great job to ask where to focus and check in to make sure the pressure wasn't too much/too little. I had A LOT of tension in my back. While she was working on some problem areas I asked some questions about why it might be so tense/painful and it definitely was a mix of working out the pain to feel relief. The big takeaway was that I shouldn't go years between massages. After the massage we went back to the relaxation room and drank more water before heading out to pay. I felt so relaxed after the massage and would definitely recommend this business to others.

I still had very little mobility, 3 months post L5-S1 TLIF Surgery on 12.11.25. I was injured in the Army in 2001. Anyhow, not knowing what to expect... Everyone that I had the honor of rehabilitating with, took EXCELLENT care of me!!! It was a very humbling and personable experience. I thought that being injured for so long, I would never regain function or feeling in my right foot and toes that had been numb for over 2 years. I've had nerve damage for over 24 years. Even, after surgery, the numbness was still there. However, during the 12th session in the Aqua Tank, I felt pain on the outside of my right foot and middle toe for the FIRST TIME IN 2 YEARS. So, the nerves are "waking up"?? Unfortunately, the pain was temporary and the numbness came back right away. But, "Hey, it's a Good Sign, right?" -- BIG "Shout Out" and "Mahalo nui loa" to Dr. Callie Rucker for your positive encouragement and for letting me know that it's OK to not be so GungHo when it comes to taking it slow and allowing myself to heal properly. -- Btw, looking forward to seeing all of you again on May 18th for 15 more Sessions. You will not be welcomed to change into a soft robe and slippers in a locker room. You will not be invited to relax before your treatment in a relaxation room or to use the sauna or steam room because they have absolutely none of these amenities. And, none of this is clear from reading their website. I noted this upon checking out, and the staff acknowledged they offer "treatment only" and not a spa experience. Then change your name to Mandara massage center. Also, you will be upsold. Not just on additional treatments, but on how firm you want the pressure. Yes, you read that right. Want light or medium pressure? Ok, that's included. Want firm pressure (not a deep tissue massage, mind you, just firm pressure) that's $10 (or $15 - I can't remember) extra. Insane. I have been to true spas across the globe and never been upsold on the firmness of the massage. I felt bad for the massage therapists who had a plastic card with various upsells they are obviously forced to push. I booked a Swedish massage with light pressure. What I received was a strange amalgamation of various techniques. At times it felt like the long relaxing strokes of the Swedish technique. At other times it felt like Thai, Shiatsu, reflexology and other things I didn't recognize. I didn't leave feeling particularly relaxed. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.

I came to Hawaii Move Lab with several lingering issues that other physical therapists were unable to fully treat, and after just a couple sessions, my pain was gone. What I really appreciated was their individualized approach. They don't believe in a "one size fits all" treatment plan. Instead, they take the approach of not only getting you healthy again, but helping you come back even stronger than before.
