Been waiting a while to write a review so I can fully assess how The Aquarian has helped me... starting like 6 months prior to me going, I started getting severe bloating even when no food was in my stomach. Like I looked 6 months pregnant all the time even before meals. I eat healthy so I was at a loss to what was causing it. I also am normally 160 lbs and don't fluctuate at all, but in the last 6 months, I was up to 168 lbs and was so confused why because my lifestyle never changed at all. My doctor tried to convince me that I had to go on antidepressants (?) for my gut health (!!??) which I thought was absurd. My doctor basically said best case scenario, I get transferred to GI and they do a bunch of tests for a lot of money and then they diagnose me with IBS. There's apparently no treatment or cure for IBS so I wasn't satisfied with this, especially since I didn't always have the bloating issue. My mom told me that she secretly went to a colon hydrotherapist and it helped her and when she told me what that was I was seriously grossed out but also so uncomfortable from the bloating and so desperate. I called him and honestly thought he was kind of cocky, but didn't have another option so I went. I was so nervous but he was really chill and make me comfortable. It's basically in his apartment which is kind of weird, but he was clean, had the right supplies, and I've been two times already! Gonna make my third appointment right now. Back down to my regular 160 lbs from doing nothing, so I guess it was just 8 lbs of poop stored up lol. During the process, he was extremely knowledgeable and What I've learned is that you should just do what he says. It works. He may be blunt, but just don't be sensitive and it will help you! He even gave me this clay to put on my skin because he said I had an uneven skin tone LOL but let me tell you that clay worked so good and I'm buying my own! The fiber that he gave me I was suspicious about but listened and took it every day. Totally helped and sooooo much came out on my second visit I was SHOCKED and kind of horrified. After the second visit, my "bloating" was still relatively flat stomach evne after eating food and I thought I was cured so I stopped taking the fiber. After 6 weeks, the bloating came back! I immediately started taking the fiber again and am going to make another appointment for maintenance. The fiber, although very gross, works like a charm. Overall, totally worth it! read more

Incredibly pleased with the results of my service - already recommended to 2 friends who also got their treatments done the same day. Will definitely be back! read more

The Aquarian was super knowledgeable and I like that he educated me on the process and what it does before hand. He made me feel very comfortable too. I was supposed to go back two weeks later (no appointment) but life happened and I haven't been able to make it back. Unfortunately he said he was able to only go up 1/3 of the way yet it cleared out soooo much. I immediately decorated and my tummy was so flat. I need to get back asap. Also the fiber he gives you is included in your visit. That stuff works so good. Clears you out. Also makes your doodoo oddly shaped but not in a bad way. Instead of being evenly shaped logs it comes out super lumpy like the shape of your intestines so you know it's clearing everything out and leaving nothing behind read more

Doc was informative and encouraging... Mad me feel as comfortable as possible and produced great results!

Recently visited The Aquarian for colon hydrotherapy to support the aid in digestion, as well as, cleanse out my colon during a specific a regimented parasite cleanse. In summary, after 2 colonics, I was told that my colon isn't suitable for his service, if i weren't to take the "knock off" psyllium husk supplement the Mr. Alcyon pushes on every single client who visits him. At the end, I was refunded for services not rendered as I would not take psyllium husk before the treatments as it wasn't suitable for me to take. After I was still gaslighted due to not taking "his supplement" prior to treatment, I received a colonic from another therapist on island and my experience was completely different. I a) had stool move through the treatment, and B) was told that other patients were actually sent to her and even sent to the hospital due to the supplement Mr. Alcyon pushed on them. 1. This supplement, he explains, is the "ONLY THING" that will help the process. The supplement is 100% psyllium husk, ground finely, then he sticks his label on it and resells it. 2. Mr Alcyon does not rely on labs to confirm whether you can handle psyllium husk nor what your colon truly needs, however he solely pushes you to take this supplement, or else. He doesn't consider other regimens you're currently on, it's his or nothing. He also mentioned things don't work because of the shape of your colon, which he doesn't know as he's never seen images of it. 3. His bedside manner is direct which is great, however will become to borderline abusive especially when you're 1/2 naked with a tube up your behind and he doesn't see the result he wants -- which he says is only "because you're not taking his knock off supplement". Overall I am shocked this behavior is acceptable especially from a male therapist rendering vulnerable services to women. Note: I did try to take this supplement and was instantly constipated for 4-5 days. Once I stopped taking it, I was normal. While many visit Mr. Alcyon, I recommend you review what type of experience you want to have prior to getting the treatment done here. There are other practitioners who don't require you to take supplements for treatment and make you feel safe, comfortable and empowered. read more

I've had experienced hydrotherapy in the mainland, but it was nothing like the experience I've had here. Mr. Alcyone is very knowledgeable, creates a comfortable and relaxing setting. Guides you through every step of the treatment. He's a master of his craft. After my first session I started feeling so much better. My inflammation had subsided noticeably. By my second session, I had been taking the fiber he provided and it was night and day. My bowel movements were regular. Looking forward to my third session and the others in the future. I'm grateful for the tremendous help. My mood has changed, my skin looks better and my clothes are fitting better. read more

A couple of months ago Alcyone offered me my first Hydrotherapy sessions and, at 40, it has been the best investment in my health that I have ever made! Like others have said, Alcyone has great "bedside manner" and makes a potentially awkward situation feel like catching up with an old friend. After the first session I passed what looked like large clumps of mucoid plaque and found immediately that the fiber he shared with me made me feel (and poop) great! The second session, what can I say, it bordered on a revolution for me as he flushed out rope after rope. Where had all that been this whole time!?!? What a blessing to be rid of it! Three months on and I can truly say that my colon and digesitive health are great. I hadn't had major issues before but didn't know how good it could be with a healthy colon- I have more energy, my skin is glowing, and I have more inclination to put only whole foods into my body. Thank you Alcyone! read more

I have been seeing Alcyone for my colonic therapies for over 2 years now and I can't recommend him enough! He's very knowledgeable and I have always felt comfortable with his expertise. I'm traveling from Miami to Honolulu and my daughter wasn't doing well. I've gone to the best colonics in Miami and other cities because I know how important that is for health and traveling affects my digestion as well. The Aquarian really did the job for my daughter. It was like finding a hole in the wall cafe, with gourmet food. The place is a dive but everything that needed to be sanitary, was in perfect protocol. The "Dr" was rude a hell but Im sure he's a very nice person deep down. He has a NY soup kitchen humor vibe. The treatment was so effective and well done, that it didn't even bother me. I'm just sharing that point for expectation purposes. He treated my daughter very well and she was comfortable, all things considered. He provided a lot of explanations and a beneficial, nasty tasting, fiber treat at the end. It was a nice touch. The place is a dump but the guy is probably the best in the business. read more

I came to see Alcyone with my husband and the two of us had back to back sessions. It sounds like it would be awkward but it was actually really comforting to have someone there with you! It's not a painful procedure but there is definitely a lot of pressure. Alcyone will give you a towel and then have you remove your bottoms in the bathroom. When you lay on the table, your completely covered, and the procedure can begin. You're going to learn a lot about your colon and you get to see exactly what's coming out! It's cash only and included is a fiber drink he will expect you to drink on the spot. My husband and I felt really good after the procedure was done and even scheduled another just to make sure nothing was left behind. Highly recommend for anyone having digestive issues. read more

The trick to getting the perfect result the first time is to drink at least 4 glasses of Metamucil and water the day before. Ladies, wear a skirt or dress, it is easier to do the 45 minute procedure. No eating 1 hour before the procedure. Bathroom onsite for your convenience. The procedure is basically an advanced & prolonged enigma; a tube is inserted into your rear, about 3 inches in & 1 inch wide, and water is pumped into it. The pressure it creates will draw substances out. Some discomfort with the pressure, but it is necessary for the result. You lay down with knees up, both feet on the massage table for the duration of the procedure, with the male operator sitting next to you, talking to you through the procedure. And enjoy watching the substance coming out of you through the machine. During the procedure, some massage will be given to the stomach/large intestinal area to help release the substance. If you don't drink fiber and water the day before, you might not have much come out, thus, disappointing & wasting money. And you will need to come back for the suggested 2 more times. I have been told that my procedure is worth $200 dollars because of the amount of substance it came out; t is the best result one can have. Note that if you are cleaned up well, you won't be able to go for 40 hours after the procedure. In addition, the address on yelp is wrong. The correct address is 270 Kuulei road, suite 240, to the left of 7-eleven, with connected parking lot, So parking is in the back of the building. First procedure is $95, 45 minutes, including a bottle of home-made Psyllum Husk. After that, it is $75 dollars. Cash only! Otherwise, you are looking to spend an addition $6.50 to take out money from the 7-eleven ATM machine. I knew what I was getting myself into, therefore, nothing was a surprise, but expected. The operator was pleasant. Some Yelpers' review stated that he is a doctor, but he is not. He specializes in Colonics & have been doing this procedure for 40 years. Overall, it was pleasant experience. Do not expect the premises of this business to be modern. It is not. But it is acceptable. read more

Alcyone does an amazing job. Always personable and respectful, I can always trust that I will feel at ease during the process and incredibly good after! The recommended fiber supplement is especially important in helping to prepare your colon for the absolute best colon cleansing and subsequent results. I promise, you will not regret this process. Dr. Alcycone is amazing at what he does! He's been doing this for 45 years. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He is so great to put me at ease (1st time trying this). He answers any questions you have and you get a discounted rate if you book the 3 sessions ($115 per session or $275 for 3 sessions). I booked 3 sessions (frequency is follows: 1st session done, then come back 1 week later, then 2 weeks later). He will give you a container of fiber which you mix a heaping spoonful with 10 oz of water + add the packet. You will need to go to a health store (like Down to Earth) and add a packet of the brand Trace Minerals Power Pack of electrolytes/vitamins. They come in many flavors (he makes you one after your 1st session). https://www.traceminerals.com/product/sugar-free-electrolyte-stamina-power-pak-citrus-flavor You will need to drink this daily and then 4 days before your following session, drink it twice a day. Mind you, your fecal matter will come out ropey, but do not be alarmed. It's normal. Each session my tummy feels so good and emptied out! The fiber will make you feel a bit bloated but necessary to help with your sessions..please take it! read more

Life changing. 10/10 would recommend. Very professional, good energy, & makes it as comfortable as possible.

I went for 3 treatments and also brought my mom because she had accidentally swallowed her denture and he did wonders to make sure it came out safely! I have cancer. Very paranoid now about what I eat, drink, put on my skin, do... However, a couple of professional friends I trust told me about this place. I was kind of scared (of the unknown) but since I am on my path to better health, it all made sense! Mr. Aquarian was very professional, clean, knowledgeable, etc. I guess the root of his last name "agua" and what he does "clean with water" is not a coincidence. The hour procedure went well and he gave me many tips to keep "my insides" limpio. It is sad that we tend to eat and drink poorly and expect our colon (5 feet long) to be clean and empty... Yep! that's what we are feeding our cells! I'm going back to stay as clean inside as outside. If you eat, you should go! Gracias! read more

Alcyone was the first and last colon therapist I will ever have for the rest of my life. I will fly all the way to the island of Oahu in the event that I relocate just to be treated by him. He over-delivered with proficiency and distinction. He was immensely patient and alleviated all of my anxiety and mind-created fears regarding the procedure. I was on what is now my 36th day of a juice cleanse and in spite of not having any fiber in my digestive tract which makes extraction process exceedingly more difficult, he was not reluctant to treat me, on the contrary he was deviated to spending even more time with me to excrete as much accumulated waste matter as possible and was graciously considerate to my pain tolerance and went up in small increments, again carrying out the duration the procedure even longer. He did not compromise and was absolutely determined to deliver results. Astounding integrity. My husband and I were so enthralled and inquired by him we spend a duration of over 3 hours just conversing with him and exchanging knowledge. He is brilliant beyond belief and has an exceeding great deal more to offer beyond the scope of colonoscopy. His humility is humbling and I am just so immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to be treated by him. Also, I was using what I thought to be a high grade organic psyllium husk fiber that I purchased at Down to Earth (Organic Natural Food Store) and he was also able to increase the quality of my fiber supplementation with his 100% top grade Hawaiian power rinse. I definitely detected a difference and my husband and I consumed it within a month. read more

Changed my life! I've been going for a couple years now, super hesitant in the beginning but I felt 1,000% comfortable once we got to talking. This last time I went, I felt backed up and overall just sloppy. I left there with a pep in my step, life changing is an understatement! read more

I've been on vacation here in Hawaii for about two weeks now, due to eating like I'm on vacation, my stomach got a little messed up and new right away I needed colon therapy. I did a little research and found Alcyone and called him right away! He is very knowledgeable and confident which I liked and I came to see him same day (he saw me after hours which was super nice). Super professional, kind and funny! I felt very comfortable the whole time and he talked me through everything. You wear a towel and are covered throughout the service. He made me and my boyfriend (who didn't receive service) a fiber drink after and I felt better immediately after everything, a huge pack of fiber powder is included in the service/charge. This has been a game changer for me, and I finally feel better for the first time in about five years. For about 5 years, I've been struggling with chronic gut problems that have severely impacted my life. I had horrible bloating, bowel issues, constantly felt full, gas problems, and would often have to lay in bed in fetal position because of pain/discomfort. I've spent thousands of dollars on doctors, test, herbs and supplements but nothing helped. If you're in a similar boat, I hope this may give you some relief. Somehow I ended up learning about colonics, and the good Yelp reviews led me to the Aquarian. I had NO idea what to expect. But from the very beginning, he helped me feel comfortable. The procedure itself is not fun, not gonna lie. There is a tube inserted, and water goes in. It doesn't hurt, per se, but it's.... like you have to "go" like you've never had to before in your life. This cycle repeats about 4 times, and hopefully you 'release' what you need to. I didn't feel much different after my first two sessions, and my tummy issues continued somewhat. It took me three sessions to 'release' what I needed to, but holy moly. What a difference it has made! I actually was laughing the whole car ride home because I couldn't believe how good I felt for the first time in years! Without the constant bloating, pain, discomfort, I feel like a brand new person. I cannot believe how much more enjoyable life is, when I'm not in constant pain 99% of the time. I also religiously drink the fiber he gave me, and it has blown my mind how effective it is. I mix it with probiotics and OJ and drink it every morning. I now start everyday with a formidable movement and it feels great. I also do the stomach valve exercise he showed me, since I also have a leaky gut. The colonics, the fiber, and the valve exercise has worked tremendously. My only regret is that I didn't know about this 5 years ago. read more

I just visited "The Aquarian" today so I can speak of short/long term results yet but wow, is this guy smart! I was hesitant to be seeing a male doctor for this treatment but I was 100% comfortable. He started with a quick colon science lesson and then talked me through every step, every feeling, every single thing and he was spot on. As he talked through where the water is moving, there's a graph on the wall to reference so you're on the same page at all times. So extremely satisfied with the treatment alone. I already feel better/lighter/flatter. Will do a follow up review when results! read more

I was a little afraid due to reading up about colonics and this guy!! He does not hold back. Tells you exactly what you need to know. Gets the job done and helps any way he can. I got food poisoning and was so miserable. I didn't want to cancel as I read he wouldn't see that person again after cancelling her appointment. So I went sick. Told him what happened. Got scolded for eating pork. (Ate Hawaiian food) and then he fixed me all up. Gave me some funky stuff to drink and cleaned me out. Felt good after. I'm about to have my 5th colonic and am so happy that I did this process!! . Plus he's loves to talk so I'm distracted the whole time. Thanks!! read more

Considering Alcyone is a multifaceted professional, I had to leave another review to further convert what phenomenal chiropractic ability he has. I've been to a multitude of different holistic health care professionals as well as being a practitioner myself, but the Aquarian is a one stop shop. I've experience other holistic chiropractors as well that spent 30 minutes or more on me and still weren't able to achieve what Cyclone was able to within 5 minutes, on the floor without any special equipment. He portrays raw talent. He exerted enough pressure to yield a substantial result without any pain or discomfort. I was absolutely mesmerized by his ability to give me more of a result than I've ever experienced in my entire life, with no specialized equipment whatsoever. He was able to guide me completely out of my comfort zone and deliver the most therapeutic chiropractic experience I've ever had. Coupled with the colonic I received I walked out of his office feeling euphoric, lighter, and sound. If you're ready for a life transformative experience book a session with him as soon as possible. read more

I had never even thought about the idea of getting a colonic, that is until I started having digestion problems. After moving from Boston to Hawaii and all the stress and bad eating that comes with it, I was constantly bloated and gassy. I was constantly feeling tired and had little to no appetite. I started eating healthier and trying to exercise, but after 4-5 months of a good diet I was still struggling. I tried a few stool softeners and at one point some very powerful laxatives but still no luck. So I did some research and eventually I called Alcyone and set up an appointment. His office is in the back of the building and has private parking. The inside of his office feels like a relaxed doctors office with a few family photos and some diagrams of the human body. From the minute I met Alcyone, he was very light hearted, constantly cracking jokes and making light of a dark situation. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed through the entire process. He was quick to explain what to expect and what he was doing along the way. I was backed up bad, like real bad. We did two sessions 5 days apart. The first session was not as "exciting" as I had hoped. He gave a shot of probiotics and a tub of his psyllium powder and said to eat a smoothie twice a day until my second visit. I left from the first visit a little disappointed.....until that night. So to be descriptive, I am not kidding that night I pooped out something that looked more human than food. It was very large, grey and old and covered in green mucus, and IN THE SHAPE OF MY INTESTINES. That blockage must have been up there for a very long time. After that it was a very productive couple of days =). I made my psyllium shakes twice a day in a blender with some frozen berries, a little fruit juice and some coconut water. I was truly excited for my second appointment as I was already very regular at that point. The second appointment was much more exciting. I literally watched 3 or 4 feet of poop come out of me. I left the second appointment relaxed and feeling great. I have continued the shakes every morning and I feel amazing! I don't have stomach acid or reflux anymore, I am not gassy and I poop twice a day. I am now a life long believer in Hydrotherapy and digestive health. If you have any type of Digestive problems, go see the Aquarian! read more

Let's just say I been wanting to get this type of service done for over a year. But quite frankly there's not many places in Hawaii that does Colon Hydrotherapy / colonic and the very few places that provides these services don't have great reviews. Now I've never been a regular person and even had to get a colonoscopy at the age of 30. At my exam they discovered an extra large polyp and had to remove it during the exam. The doctor said if I came in for a exam at the required colonoscopy age it would of most likely been cancer. That's when realize I need to do something. After much research, I was drawn to the history and benefits of the colon hydrotherapy and was determined to give it a try. But I will admit it took my over year to get over a stranger getting close to my butt. Excited but a little uncomfortable I decided to book an appointment and I must say it was the best thing I could have ever done for my health. There was no pain, maybe a little pressure but Dr. Alcion was very informative and professional which made it easy. He educated me on the colon, gave me tips on how to take care of my health and even whipped up a nice chocolate almond fiber shake. I can't wait till my next appt (After thanksgiving) Until then I'll be on the Hawaiian power rinse (fiber) I highly recommend Dr. Alcion Aquarian for all first timers and even regular Colonic patients. & his price is reasonable.
