Recently visited The Aquarian for colon hydrotherapy to support the aid in digestion, as well as, cleanse out my colon during a specific a regimented parasite cleanse. In summary, after 2 colonics, I was told that my colon isn't suitable for his service, if i weren't to take the "knock off" psyllium husk supplement the Mr. Alcyon pushes on every single client who visits him. At the end, I was refunded for services not rendered as I would not take psyllium husk before the treatments as it wasn't suitable for me to take. After I was still gaslighted due to not taking "his supplement" prior to treatment, I received a colonic from another therapist on island and my experience was completely different. I a) had stool move through the treatment, and B) was told that other patients were actually sent to her and even sent to the hospital due to the supplement Mr. Alcyon pushed on them. 1. This supplement, he explains, is the "ONLY THING" that will help the process. The supplement is 100% psyllium husk, ground finely, then he sticks his label on it and resells it. 2. Mr Alcyon does not rely on labs to confirm whether you can handle psyllium husk nor what your colon truly needs, however he solely pushes you to take this supplement, or else. He doesn't consider other regimens you're currently on, it's his or nothing. He also mentioned things don't work because of the shape of your colon, which he doesn't know as he's never seen images of it. 3. His bedside manner is direct which is great, however will become to borderline abusive especially when you're 1/2 naked with a tube up your behind and he doesn't see the result he wants -- which he says is only "because you're not taking his knock off supplement". Overall I am shocked this behavior is acceptable especially from a male therapist rendering vulnerable services to women. Note: I did try to take this supplement and was instantly constipated for 4-5 days. Once I stopped taking it, I was normal. While many visit Mr. Alcyon, I recommend you review what type of experience you want to have prior to getting the treatment done here. There are other practitioners who don't require you to take supplements for treatment and make you feel safe, comfortable and empowered.

About 30 minutes from Diamond Head on the opposite side of the island. Next to 7-11.

I'm traveling from Miami to Honolulu and my daughter wasn't doing well. I've gone to the best colonics in Miami and other cities because I know how important that is for health and traveling affects my digestion as well. The Aquarian really did the job for my daughter. It was like finding a hole in the wall cafe, with gourmet food. The place is a dive but everything that needed to be sanitary, was in perfect protocol. The "Dr" was rude a hell but Im sure he's a very nice person deep down. He has a NY soup kitchen humor vibe. The treatment was so effective and well done, that it didn't even bother me. I'm just sharing that point for expectation purposes. He treated my daughter very well and she was comfortable, all things considered. He provided a lot of explanations and a beneficial, nasty tasting, fiber treat at the end. It was a nice touch. The place is a dump but the guy is probably the best in the business.

I came to see Alcyone with my husband and the two of us had back to back sessions. It sounds like it would be awkward but it was actually really comforting to have someone there with you! It's not a painful procedure but there is definitely a lot of pressure. Alcyone will give you a towel and then have you remove your bottoms in the bathroom. When you lay on the table, your completely covered, and the procedure can begin. You're going to learn a lot about your colon and you get to see exactly what's coming out! It's cash only and included is a fiber drink he will expect you to drink on the spot. My husband and I felt really good after the procedure was done and even scheduled another just to make sure nothing was left behind. Highly recommend for anyone having digestive issues.

This packet mix with his fiber & 10 oz water. (See my review for details).

Dr. Alcycone is amazing at what he does! He's been doing this for 45 years. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He is so great to put me at ease (1st time trying this). He answers any questions you have and you get a discounted rate if you book the 3 sessions ($115 per session or $275 for 3 sessions). I booked 3 sessions (frequency is follows: 1st session done, then come back 1 week later, then 2 weeks later). He will give you a container of fiber which you mix a heaping spoonful with 10 oz of water + add the packet. You will need to go to a health store (like Down to Earth) and add a packet of the brand Trace Minerals Power Pack of electrolytes/vitamins. They come in many flavors (he makes you one after your 1st session). https://www.traceminerals.com/product/sugar-free-electrolyte-stamina-power-pak-citrus-flavor You will need to drink this daily and then 4 days before your following session, drink it twice a day. Mind you, your fecal matter will come out ropey, but do not be alarmed. It's normal. Each session my tummy feels so good and emptied out! The fiber will make you feel a bit bloated but necessary to help with your sessions..please take it!

It was just lucky that they were having a sale. It was like 25% off Dr Morris's brand. I asked the salesperson if they could find the exact insole that I had in my shoe. They told me which one would work best for Dr Morris's brand. They checked and there was none in stock. So disappointing. My husband thought it was a good idea to get insoles for himself. He found a pair for himself with Dr Morris's brand. They said my size was very popular and that's why it was out. They said that I could leave my name and phone number and they would call me when it was in. I think they called me once but this store isn't really convenient to where I live or work so I wasn't able to get it. When I had a free moment to get it again, it was out of stock again. I called this time just so I would not waste a trip driving out there. They still didn't have. The other store had the brand name one but Dr Morris's one is cheaper even without the discount. Hopefully they will get more of those size 7 Met insoles in stock for Dr Morris's brand. I have a brand pair of shoes coming soon.

They have been at the current location for approximately 1 year according to the doctor(?) I saw. I'm not sure where they were prior. They are active on Facebook and Instagram, though. And there are a few (4 to be exact) reviews on Google. REFERRAL & SCHEDULING: I was referred to North Shore Prosthetics & Orthotics by my doctor to get fitted for some personalized insoles. I called their office immediately after my referral and was able to get an appointment scheduled. It was an easy process. Since my appointment was scheduled for a Monday, I received a call the Friday prior reminding me of my upcoming appointment. The receptionist who called sounded pleasant. APPOINTMENT DAY: The office was fairly easy to find. It is located in Pearl City, just off Kamehameha Highway (right before Neal S. Blaisdell Park). The office is well marked; there is a big sign outside that is easily visible from the road. The parking lot is shared by a few other businesses and is small with limited parking spots. Parking is free, though. Upon entering the door, the receptionist desk is right there and is shared by the waiting area with a few chairs. There are also are few displays of prosthetics, assumingly of the products they provide. The waiting area gave me the impression that they recently moved into that building and are still adjusting. It was decorated but basic! When I walked in, the receptionist was speaking with someone who I assume was one of the doctors but, she acknowledged me and told be that she would be with me shortly. Someone else walked in after me and she acknowledged them as well. When the receptionist was done, she called me to the desk and checked me in for my appointment. She asked me a few questions, verified my information, made a copy of my identification card, and also made a copy of the presentation from my doctor. COVID PROTOCOLS: Pre-appointment call: The receptionist called and asked about travel and covid-related symptoms. AT APPOINTMENT CHECK-IN: - masks are required by employees and patients - temperature checked by receptionist (I was already sitting/waiting in the waiting area for at least 5 minutes prior to my temperature being checked) - receptionist wore gloves prior to taking documents - hand sanitizer available at receptionist desk Not too long after I checked in, Greg came to the front and called me back. We walked the short distance back to his office. The office was bare. It had a basic desk and chair where Greg sat. He used a laptop to conduct additional administrative actions (not a desktop to suggest permanency). Under the desk were a few boxes, one of which he used later to make a mold of my feet. Adjacent to his desk were two chairs, one of which I sat in. Both set of chairs were close enough so he could examine my feet. There was another small desk in the corner with gloves and hand sanitizer.  There were small particles on the ground that I thought needed cleaning however, after doing my mold, I realized the particles were from the foam materials used to make the mold. Greg put on gloves prior to examining my feet. Once he was done he discarded the gloves and sanitized. He informed me that the insoles would be ready in approximately 2 weeks and asked me to make a follow up appointment on my way out, which I did. My appointment was fairly simple and quick. Overall, I have no qualms about my first experience with North Shore Prosthetics & Orthotics.
