Been waiting a while to write a review so I can fully assess how The Aquarian has helped me... starting like 6 months prior to me going, I started getting severe bloating even when no food was in my stomach. Like I looked 6 months pregnant all the time even before meals. I eat healthy so I was at a loss to what was causing it. I also am normally 160 lbs and don't fluctuate at all, but in the last 6 months, I was up to 168 lbs and was so confused why because my lifestyle never changed at all. My doctor tried to convince me that I had to go on antidepressants (?) for my gut health (!!??) which I thought was absurd. My doctor basically said best case scenario, I get transferred to GI and they do a bunch of tests for a lot of money and then they diagnose me with IBS. There's apparently no treatment or cure for IBS so I wasn't satisfied with this, especially since I didn't always have the bloating issue. My mom told me that she secretly went to a colon hydrotherapist and it helped her and when she told me what that was I was seriously grossed out but also so uncomfortable from the bloating and so desperate. I called him and honestly thought he was kind of cocky, but didn't have another option so I went. I was so nervous but he was really chill and make me comfortable. It's basically in his apartment which is kind of weird, but he was clean, had the right supplies, and I've been two times already! Gonna make my third appointment right now. Back down to my regular 160 lbs from doing nothing, so I guess it was just 8 lbs of poop stored up lol. During the process, he was extremely knowledgeable and What I've learned is that you should just do what he says. It works. He may be blunt, but just don't be sensitive and it will help you! He even gave me this clay to put on my skin because he said I had an uneven skin tone LOL but let me tell you that clay worked so good and I'm buying my own! The fiber that he gave me I was suspicious about but listened and took it every day. Totally helped and sooooo much came out on my second visit I was SHOCKED and kind of horrified. After the second visit, my "bloating" was still relatively flat stomach evne after eating food and I thought I was cured so I stopped taking the fiber. After 6 weeks, the bloating came back! I immediately started taking the fiber again and am going to make another appointment for maintenance. The fiber, although very gross, works like a charm. Overall, totally worth it! read more

Recently visited The Aquarian for colon hydrotherapy to support the aid in digestion, as well as, cleanse out my colon during a specific a regimented parasite cleanse. In summary, after 2 colonics, I was told that my colon isn't suitable for his service, if i weren't to take the "knock off" psyllium husk supplement the Mr. Alcyon pushes on every single client who visits him. At the end, I was refunded for services not rendered as I would not take psyllium husk before the treatments as it wasn't suitable for me to take. After I was still gaslighted due to not taking "his supplement" prior to treatment, I received a colonic from another therapist on island and my experience was completely different. I a) had stool move through the treatment, and B) was told that other patients were actually sent to her and even sent to the hospital due to the supplement Mr. Alcyon pushed on them. 1. This supplement, he explains, is the "ONLY THING" that will help the process. The supplement is 100% psyllium husk, ground finely, then he sticks his label on it and resells it. 2. Mr Alcyon does not rely on labs to confirm whether you can handle psyllium husk nor what your colon truly needs, however he solely pushes you to take this supplement, or else. He doesn't consider other regimens you're currently on, it's his or nothing. He also mentioned things don't work because of the shape of your colon, which he doesn't know as he's never seen images of it. 3. His bedside manner is direct which is great, however will become to borderline abusive especially when you're 1/2 naked with a tube up your behind and he doesn't see the result he wants -- which he says is only "because you're not taking his knock off supplement". Overall I am shocked this behavior is acceptable especially from a male therapist rendering vulnerable services to women. Note: I did try to take this supplement and was instantly constipated for 4-5 days. Once I stopped taking it, I was normal. While many visit Mr. Alcyon, I recommend you review what type of experience you want to have prior to getting the treatment done here. There are other practitioners who don't require you to take supplements for treatment and make you feel safe, comfortable and empowered. read more

A couple of months ago Alcyone offered me my first Hydrotherapy sessions and, at 40, it has been the best investment in my health that I have ever made! Like others have said, Alcyone has great "bedside manner" and makes a potentially awkward situation feel like catching up with an old friend. I'm traveling from Miami to Honolulu and my daughter wasn't doing well. I came to see Alcyone with my husband and the two of us had back to back sessions. It sounds like it would be awkward but it was actually really comforting to have someone there with you! It's not a painful procedure but there is definitely a lot of pressure. Alcyone will give you a towel and then have you remove your bottoms in the bathroom. When you lay on the table, your completely covered, and the procedure can begin. You're going to learn a lot about your colon and you get to see exactly what's coming out! It's cash only and included is a fiber drink he will expect you to drink on the spot. The trick to getting the perfect result the first time is to drink at least 4 glasses of Metamucil and water the day before. Ladies, wear a skirt or dress, it is easier to do the 45 minute procedure. No eating 1 hour before the procedure. Bathroom onsite for your convenience. The procedure is basically an advanced & prolonged enigma; a tube is inserted into your rear, about 3 inches in & 1 inch wide, and water is pumped into it. The pressure it creates will draw substances out. Some discomfort with the pressure, but it is necessary for the result. You lay down with knees up, both feet on the massage table for the duration of the procedure, with the male operator sitting next to you, talking to you through the procedure. And enjoy watching the substance coming out of you through the machine. During the procedure, some massage will be given to the stomach/large intestinal area to help release the substance. If you don't drink fiber and water the day before, you might not have much come out, thus, disappointing & wasting money. And you will need to come back for the suggested 2 more times. I have been told that my procedure is worth $200 dollars because of the amount of substance it came out; t is the best result one can have. This has been a game changer for me, and I finally feel better for the first time in about five years. For about 5 years, I've been struggling with chronic gut problems that have severely impacted my life. I had horrible bloating, bowel issues, constantly felt full, gas problems, and would often have to lay in bed in fetal position because of pain/discomfort. I've spent thousands of dollars on doctors, test, herbs and supplements but nothing helped. If you're in a similar boat, I hope this may give you some relief. Somehow I ended up learning about colonics, and the good Yelp reviews led me to the Aquarian. I had NO idea what to expect. But from the very beginning, he helped me feel comfortable. The procedure itself is not fun, not gonna lie. There is a tube inserted, and water goes in. It doesn't hurt, per se, but it's.... like you have to "go" like you've never had to before in your life. This cycle repeats about 4 times, and hopefully you 'release' what you need to. I didn't feel much different after my first two sessions, and my tummy issues continued somewhat. It took me three sessions to 'release' what I needed to, but holy moly. What a difference it has made! I actually was laughing the whole car ride home because I couldn't believe how good I felt for the first time in years! Without the constant bloating, pain, discomfort, I feel like a brand new person. I cannot believe how much more enjoyable life is, when I'm not in constant pain 99% of the time. Considering Alcyone is a multifaceted professional, I had to leave another review to further convert what phenomenal chiropractic ability he has. I've been to a multitude of different holistic health care professionals as well as being a practitioner myself, but the Aquarian is a one stop shop. I've experience other holistic chiropractors as well that spent 30 minutes or more on me and still weren't able to achieve what Cyclone was able to within 5 minutes, on the floor without any special equipment. I had never even thought about the idea of getting a colonic, that is until I started having digestion problems. After moving from Boston to Hawaii and all the stress and bad eating that comes with it, I was constantly bloated and gassy. I was constantly feeling tired and had little to no appetite. I started eating healthier and trying to exercise, but after 4-5 months of a good diet I was still struggling. I tried a few stool softeners and at one point some very powerful laxatives but still no luck. So I did some research and eventually I called Alcyone and set up an appointment. His office is in the back of the building and has private parking. The inside of his office feels like a relaxed doctors office with a few family photos and some diagrams of the human body. From the minute I met Alcyone, he was very light hearted, constantly cracking jokes and making light of a dark situation. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed through the entire process. He was quick to explain what to expect and what he was doing along the way. I was backed up bad, like real bad. We did two sessions 5 days apart. The first session was not as "exciting" as I had hoped. He gave a shot of probiotics and a tub of his psyllium powder and said to eat a smoothie twice a day until my second visit. I left from the first visit a little disappointed.....until that night. So to be descriptive, I am not kidding that night I pooped out something that looked more human than food. It was very large, grey and old and covered in green mucus, and IN THE SHAPE OF MY INTESTINES. That blockage must have been up there for a very long time. After that it was a very productive couple of days =). I made my psyllium shakes twice a day in a blender with some frozen berries, a little fruit juice and some coconut water. I was truly excited for my second appointment as I was already very regular at that point. The second appointment was much more exciting. I literally watched 3 or 4 feet of poop come out of me. I left the second appointment relaxed and feeling great. I have continued the shakes every morning and I feel amazing!
