Mark is a true artisan and Chinese Medicine Guru. His knowledge is incredible and what he says and it works. Everytime I visit him, I feel so much relief internally. The energy is more circulating and I feel emotionally better too. I would recommend here for anyone looking to not only relieve pain but energetically become healed into a better version of themselves. Office experience was definitely professional and very comforting. Mahalo Mark!

cupping and needles for my neck and shoulder pain

I recently got treated by Dr. Marc again for my back, shoulder and neck pain (from long hours on the computer) and I feel so much better! Marc did acupuncture as well as cupping and I felt super relaxed and even fell asleep for awhile. What I appreciate the most is that he is quick with the needles and cupping and most of my visit is just relaxing by myself. The ambience of his office is great - there is a lovely view and it's quiet and clean. I especially love the light background sound of peaceful and calming waves. I've been to a number of acupuncturists throughout my life and Marc is one of my top experiences. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to Chinese medicine and I feel that he truly cares about the health and well being of his patients. My only complaint is that I wish I could come more often! Definitely will be returning again soon, thanks Marc!

Me getting cupping and some acupuncture done by Mark.

I wish Mark could be my primary care physician! His office is incredible. He genuinely cares about each person that comes through his door. Not only does he fully listen for what type of body work would most benefit you, he also goes the extra mile. It's clear that he wants to actually help you feel better and get to the source of any ailments or issues. I received cupping treatment and acupuncture for chronic tightness in my back and neck as well as overall muscle pain relief. After only one session could feel a massive difference in my bodies ability to move and feel good. Mark was such a wealth of knowledge! It's so clear in his communication that he's out to help his clients to feel better permanently and not just make money. After, he even took the time to massage medicinal oils on the worked in area and advised what the next day or two should look like to care for myself afterwards. If you are visiting or a permanent resident invest in yourself and go see Mark for acupuncture and/cupping!

The blisters forming that we had to got it the ER for

My father received services and cupping and within 24 hours developed burn marks that turned into open blisters. I called to ask questions and was yelled at and hung up on and told I was dumb for calling. The provider was rude and make his lack of professionalism my fault. I'm active duty military and will be telling everyone not to use this company.

Thank you to my bestie for treating me to my first experience with acupuncture. I am now hooked. After a few injuries over the years I have been living with various chronic pains, from a fractured shoulder and foot to back problems, sinus issues and sciatica. I have been to specialists and therapist. I have tried herbal supplements and prescribed medications and still couldn't find relief. That was until I was introduced to my new favorite person (sorry hubby, lol) my acupuncturist Marc. After only my first visit I felt immediate relief from my hip pain that I've had for years! I couldn't believe it! I even had relief of my neck and shoulder pain after my second visit. Today was my third session and I began to feel relief of my sciatica and plantar fasciitis. Acupuncture Arts is located downtown in the Finance Factors building on the 12th floor. Marc will validate your parking if you park in the parking lot of 1188 Bishop st. during the week and parking is free on the weekends. The waiting room is very serene and has a way of making you feel so calm and peaceful. Before going in to the treatment room you will have to remove your slippers/shoes. Each session last 30-45 minutes. You will lay face up or down, depending on your treatment area, on a massage table. After the needles and cups (if you choose) are applied the lights are dimmed and the familiar sound of waves are played on a sound machine. Marc comes to check on you about half way through your session to make sure you're comfortable. At the end of the treatment after the needles/cups are removed Marc applies herbs to the treatment areas. The whole process from beginning to end is a wonderful experience and totally worth any slight discomfort from the initial poke of the needles. If you've never had acupuncture and have been thinking about trying it or if you experience chronic pain and want to try something new I highly recommend Acupuncture Arts.

My husband had a treatment done and they burned him, yelled at me when I called to cancel the next treatment and refused to offer any help when I asked how to help husband. He told me that my husband's blisters were fake and not facts. The ER doc says otherwise. Do not use the man he will hurt you and blame you for it

    He keeps getting awards...!

Nows its even better - started getting runny nose as its gotten into the cooler months so asked if dr mark could address this, in addition to the other issues the treatments help with. Sure enough, he was able to add a couple additional points at the base of each nostril. (though, ouch...these sting so have to be sure to use my icepack to numb area first; this helps plenty plenty plenty!) After two sessions, runny nose decreased 2/3rds. Tried skipping the base of nose spots this past session though, to avoid the extra sting but runny nose came back. So I'll probably alternate every-other session and this'll be sufficient. Now if dr mark could just do something about my grays...small kine salt & pepper was ok but getting to me more salt and less pepper. lol

I first visited him two+ years ago from the recommendation of good friends who have been on a spiritual path for a long time. I took his 10 day detox treatment (good for food, relationship, thought, alcohol/drug addictions), and I immediately started to make overall better decisions for myself. I journaled for the 1st time in my life, got rid of lots of yukky emotional garbage I was lugging around, had lots of energy (cleaned out closets, drawers long neglected), and I felt happy! I started going into nature again, too, for even more healing! In October 2008 I had lots of lymph gland swelling right before I was to go to Asia. I am a truly lousy traveler, always getting sinus infections, a cough or some bug when traveling. Dr. Jason's recommendations and treatments are very intuitive and accurate, so I took his herbal treatments and acupuncture and qigong. I traveled to Bali and Japan and stayed for a month with no physical problems whatsoever! And, I had a great time traveling with no sickness for the first time ever! Most recently Dr. Qi treated a pinched nerve in my shoulder in a few acupuncture sessions, and I can now move it around without pain. I felt immediate relief after the first treatment. He is the best healer I have ever gone to. As an artist, my painting has taken on a new life of its own. This has give me so much joy, and my painting has new depth and more spiritual meaning. I am painting consistently in acrylic, a new medium for me. I really like being creative! I love the textures and colors, and what happens to the painting from the first brushstroke! Our household is more harmonious and balanced. My husband is so happy seeing his more relaxed, positive, and energetic wife. We talk about more things now. And, he is starting to use qigong to lower his own blood pressure. Even my cat is alive and healthy at 16 years today because of Dr. Qi's talking treatment when she wasn't able to eat, hardly move! The Art of Jason Qi comes at very reasonable prices. His clinic is at a convenient location across from the Maunakea Market with good parking on the same block - make sure you feed the meter appropriately, or you will get a ticket like I did. $3 for 1 hr. and $5 for 2 hr. There are free qigong classes at Foster Garden on Sunday and Monday mornings fro 9-10:30 am ! Dr. Jason is so gentle and his qigong class reflect that. I am at peace now with more parts of me, and am much stronger and have no knee pain. I commune with a deep part of myself and all of nature here in beautiful Foster Garden. A pass is $3 for kaamaaina, or you can get a yearly pass for $25, which is well worth it. If you are ready to expand yourself, to deepen your faith, to enrich your life, to get healthy, then Art of Jason Qi is for you.

We Decided to visit this place through meetups app while on vacation for a breath workshop with Hunter. I had been looking a month ago at things I would love to do while out if our normal area, for classes and workshops to add to my training. I was glad I found this one! Once in, and talking to the instructor He said they're trying new classes out, and currently his is donation based, (but I'm sure it could change in the future), and to bring your own mat/ blanket etc for a rejuvenating intro to breath on weds at 6pm for 45 minutes. I am Yoga Nidra certifies, and this very much so reminded me of that with breath work. However, we were consciously awake and checked up on constantly through the practice. An awesome experience for those that need to tune in to themselves and out of the world. Great for people visiting the island looking to relax on a deeper level, and for locals who need to get back in touch with their innermost. Strongly suggest! I like that this studios energy seems very balanced, safe, and comfortable. It's very chill and welcoming, as was Hunter. Thanks for the lovely experience, and for hosting such awesome events for people on meetup app! Hope to visit next time I'm in the area :0)

I wanted a holistic approach--one that combined lifestyle changes, nutritional support, hormone therapy, and supplements. What I received was so much more than I expected. Dr. Williams took the time to understand the full picture. She listened with care and compassion, giving me space to share what I was experiencing, both physically and emotionally. What began as a search for answers around perimenopausal symptoms soon revealed deeper underlying conditions, including POTS and PCOS--things that had gone undiagnosed for far too long. Dr. Williams created a comprehensive, science-backed plan tailored to my specific needs, based on lab work, ongoing testing, and consistent monitoring. Appointments are thorough, typically lasting 30 minutes to an hour, and every visit feels intentional and collaborative. Dr. Williams always makes sure I understand what's going on in my body and how each part of the treatment plan fits together. She doesn't reject Western medicine--in fact, she incorporates it thoughtfully when it supports overall healing. When I was prescribed anxiety medication, for example, she reviewed it carefully and helped me understand how it could help in my specific case. One of the things I appreciate most about this practice is the team-based approach. You're not just getting one doctor's perspective--you're benefiting from the expertise of the entire group. The providers consult with one another to make sure every aspect of your care is considered, which makes a huge difference. As with most naturopathic care, insurance doesn't typically cover upfront, but this office is extremely transparent about costs and offers a range of payment options. If your insurance allows for reimbursement, they even handle the claims submission for you--something I've found to be a massive help. The office environment is quiet, clean, and calming. The staff is welcoming and responsive, and parking is simple thanks to the attached structure (with validation included). They also use a secure app that makes managing test results, appointments, and communication incredibly easy. This is truly whole-person care--rooted in science, compassion, and a deep respect for the healing process. If you're ready to invest in your well-being and want a provider who will walk with you every step of the way, I cannot recommend Dr. Williams enough. This continues to be life-changing for me.

I used to be scared to acupuncture coz no one likes to have multiple needles inserted into the body right? But after feeling the immediate positive effects of it, I'm a believer, and I think the 5 minutes of discomfort is extremely worth it for the few or multiple pain-free days I get out of it! That's my main motivation to keep coming back. If you tried PT, massage and all that and nothing seems working, give acupuncture a try. To me, effects of a massage could only provide maybe half a day of pain relief and of course the relaxation, and I'm spending $80 which gets expensive. Acupuncture is more effective and more affordable, so the choice is obvious for me. It also helps a lot that Patricia is caring, understanding, knowledgeable, skillful, honest, calm and reassuring, everything you want in a good acupuncturist. She gave me a consultation and took my pulse every time before we would go upstairs for the acupuncture session. Usually I go there for my lower back pain, but if she notices something else wrong, or if I bring something else up, then she would put the needles in the appropriate pressure points to treat that as well. I would say, out of all the acupuncturists I've had, including some in Hong Kong china, she's the most precise in terms of where to put the needles, because almost every needle going in I would feel some numbing sensation. Sometimes when it's intense, my muscle would twitch. That's a good thing because it means it's the right spot!!! Depending on your condition and the area of problem, and also depending on how hard the acupuncturist wants it to go lol, each needle would feel differently, so I can only imagine acupuncture feels different for every single person as well. But in general feeling the nerve firing up, numbness or tingling is considered normal. (The sharps of the needle is nothing compared to the sensation once the needle is in. The numbness I described is after the needle is already inside.) After having the needles in, I was able to have at least 30 mins to lie down on my stomach to rest (with needles on my back). Sometimes I would doze off because it's actually very relaxing. She would then come in to take them out and massage the spots a bit to get the blood flowing. The environment is relaxing with meditative music playing upstairs. The room is also shared with other patients, with 2 massage beds and 2 chairs spaced apart. Payment is on a sliding scale from $30-55. They don't take insurance. I hope they're doing ok with this payment method to keep the place running! It's the best acupuncture experience I've had, and I'm a regular now!
