When I walked in, the whole building smelt like clean laundry. The room I got a massage in was neat & tidy & the front desk lady was kind. They played good music and gave me a massage unlike I've ever gotten. They started out with standing on my back and ended with streching me out. Overall was great! Happy I came here. I've had pain in my lower back for over a year and a half and no stretches or chiropractor adjustments were really helping long term. My partner had a hurt knee from a previous massage experience elsewhere. So, we were both extremely happy and grateful we gave Khun Sa Thai Massage a chance. Both Num and Kannika were careful yet effective in their techniques. They give pretty deep pressure if you prefer it. Knots were worked on and we were very relaxed throughout the session. Their massage beds are heated, but you can always request to adjust it throughout your session. Also, big plus because it was pretty clean and there was ginger tea offered afterwards. She must have gone to one of the best as she was so efficient and very professional. She addressed all my concerns about my aches and pains. Truly the worst massages my husband and I have ever had. 'Mistreatment' was the first word that came to mind with the first touches in the first minute, and it went downhill from there. My arms and legs were treated with such rough disrespect, it was like they were throwing around sacks of meat. Spoke kindly, pressure mostly ok but feeling beaten up and abused now. We get 2-hour massages about every two weeks. We've had the best in the world and most are an 8-9 on a 10-point scale, if not 10. Our beautiful regular masseuse, Sonya (on mainland now) is classy and loving in her touch, regardless of pressure, and always a 10. This was just plain meanness. Even held sheet when I turned over so that she could see me, instead of away from her to give me needed privacy. Tipped 10% just because, but not our usual 20-25%. Where do I begin?!? This location is right by L&L Kailua and Dominos pizza. The exterior might be plain, but when you go inside it's just lovely!!! I adored the little elephant art piece and the tranquil art. Everything is spotless, and they are very cautious about Coronavirus. You leave your footwear in the front, and they temperature check you and provide a face mask if you need one. After sanitizing your hands they take you on back to your room. I actually did a couples massage for the very first time. It was a nice sized room, just right in my opinion. There was mellow lighting and very relaxing music playing at a perfect volume. This room was very clean and nicely done. The massage tables were comfortable and the sheet to cover you was soft. Our massage therapists were Kim who was a very polite and kind man, and Num my masseuse was female and I swear they are both healers! I've been told I'm a bit of an empathy, so maybe that's why I don't usually like to get massages. I have weird reactions to when people touch me and most times it gives me the heebie jeebies lol. This is definitely not a problem, here! My neck and shoulder area was so tight poor Num felt so bad for me. She was extremely kind and caring in her massage. Even where I had accumulated some bruising on my legs she didn't hurt me at all. I definitely loved the walking they do on your back! But, The neck and back cracking were my favorite part. It was crazy loud and included lots of pops. I'm told that's good and I quite agree. After the whole hour was done I felt like a new woman! We both actually wished we had booked the 1.5 hour session. I told them I would be making a lot more income just so I can come back every month. 8) Pricing isn't bad at all. And in my opinion they were worth every penny as well as the hefty tip we left. I had just come back from a long adventure where I was doing a lot of hard physical activity. I booked an appointment with any available therapist and was lucky to get Rosie. She was strong and could identify knots and tight muscles that I didn't even know. She used her strength to work out the knots and continuously asked if I was okay.
