The Healing Source - Massage Therapy Near Me - Kailua, Hawaii

I absolutely love Francesca and The Healing Source! I came to her after a horrible accident years ago and was so grateful that she takes clients with insurance claims. The work she did made such a big difference in my recovery. Most recently I came to her for a PRENATAL massage!!!!! Oh my goodness...if you are looking for a prenatal work up, look no further. I booked a 90 minute and it was the perfect length of time. I was a week out from my due date and felt such relief and so much peace during my appointment. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and clean. I highly recommend her services, you won't be disappointed. She is highly intuitive and very passionate which makes such a difference. I didn't even have to ask her to adjust the pressure or change anything related to her technique, she just read my body and tension and knew what to do. It was so relieving not to have to direct her, instead I could simply relax and receive. It's very rare to find that I've discovered. I'm so grateful to be back in Hawaii and in her care. I can't wait to go back to her for a postpartum work up. It will definitely be one of the best Christmas presents I'm looking forward to this year :) read more

I was referred to the Healing Source in Kailua by my primary care physician for a work related injury. It was easy to make an appt and Francesca is really easy to communicate with. The only downfall is that they do not have parking, but don't let that stop you, because they have street parking all over and you are always bound to find a spot. It is located next to Zippys, upstairs above Rise & Grind Coffee shop. Francesca is amazing at what she does! She makes sure you are comfortable, has relaxing music and amazing lotion that leaves you feeling 100x better than you did before you arrived. She really helps the areas you note that need extra attention. I have purchased gift cards for people to come here and recommended several friends to go when they are looking for a massage in Kailua. If you are looking for a massage for you or a friend or a gift card, I would look no further...The Healing Source is your spot! read more

I went to The Healing Source and met Izabela, and she was fantastic! I am 63 and have had several car and motorcycle injuries in my life. I was in dire need of some healing. When I met Izabela I was immediately struck by her positive aura. She used various methods to find my pain and sooth me. She is absolutely a true healer and have recommended her to my friends and family. I cab't wait to see her again! read more

I was referred to Francesa by a friend. I have a spine injury (spondylolisthesis and sciatica), and brought notes from a previous massage practitioner on what had worked for me. Francesca reviewed the notes, but then performed a massage that completely disregarded them. It felt like a generic back pain massage, not the specific therapeutic massage I had asked for. In retrospect, I should have said something when the massage was not covering what I wanted, but I trusted her. At the end, it was obvious that something was not right. I was unable to bend to put my shoes on, and getting dressed was extremely painful. I know all this runs contrary to what other reviewers have posted: I'm not a habitual one-star-reviewer. But the fact of the matter is now my back is exacerbated, and the upcoming travel I have will be an ordeal. read more

I just had a 90 minute myofascial release massage for the first in my life & let me tell you... it was the most relaxing 90 minutes of my life! Izabela is absolutely AMAZING! She was very informative about what she will be doing & what you will experience & she reassures you, that what you're feeling is normal & to embrace it & just let go. Let it all go. For as long as I can remember... I've always suffered from chronic back & neck pain. & over the years, & after having kids... it just got worse. I also hold a lot of things...trauma in & I just bottle it all up. I've tried multiple different types of massages & seen a lot of different massage therapists & nothing compares to this & to Izabela. You can just tell how much she loves what she does, & how much she truly cares about her clients. her energy is out of this world! She is definitely something special! I can honestly say that she has a gift! The moment she laid her hands on me, I felt it. It's a weird...interesting feeling that I don't really know how to explain. But it just felt right. I felt safe. I felt taken cared of. It's giving that protective, motherly love feeling. & the massage felt euphoric. You experience so many different emotions. & at the end of it, you feel like a huge weight...or layer has lifted. It is truly something amazing! & I will for sure, without a doubt, will be seeing Izabela again. & you should too. 10000000/10 recommend & would do it again! read more

I was in need of a massage since it was a treat for my birthday. Daughter found this business on Google and owner Francesca gave me my massage. Very well experienced and used pressure points. She is the first massage person that was allowed to work on my neck, because of a sports injury back in 2009/2010. I could tell her touch was so perfect that I had no fear with her working on my neck. It was so relaxing and stress relieving, I booked another Appt right then and there before I fly home. read more

The Healing Source has very experienced therapists and their massage technique is really therapeutic and almost medical. She takes the time to really feel where there is tension in my muscles and explains to me what she is doing and how it will relieve pain and tension. She worked with chiropractors for many years and often gives me advice on when to see the chiropractor, stretches I can do at home, and how to prevent injury. The healing source doesn't have the fancy spa atmosphere, but if you want a great truly therapeutic massage, the Healing Source is the place. The location is no-frills but is very clean, minimalistically decorated and homey feeling. Park at the paid parking garage with the entrance at Aulike St. Park near the back so you can just cut through the back road by Zippy's and walk a very short distance to the Healing Source. read more

I was in a car accident a few years ago and sustained a lower back injury. I was referred to the Healing Source in Kailua by my primary physician through a medical prescription. Francesca treated me as a whole person through her genuine nature, respect for who I was in the moment and a drive to see me return to wellness. She was methodical in creating a treatment plan that included acupressure, deep and soft tissue massage and myofascial release. She championed me through tough times with kindness, professionalism and a warmth that led to a trust which is necessary for the recovery process to be successful. Her abilities have allowed me to improve my quality of life. Francesca is a credit to her profession and an asset to the medical and wellness communities. read more

One of the best massages I have had in Hawaii, intuitive and strong hands. Clean environment with beautiful decore. Highly recommended read more

Francesca Caires, one of the owners, may have given me my all time best massage. I have had regular massages, as in every 2 to 3 weeks, for the last 20 years. I've tried Thai, fancy hotels, Korean spas, etc. However, Francesca can feel the pressure and lactic acid in your body. Combination trigger point, pressure point and Swedish. Will go every time I'm in Kailua. read more

I saw Franchesca today after calling to schedule a "same day" massage. She was so willing to accommodate and did not fail with her services. Her pressure massage helped my back pain that I yearned to fix. She was able to release the the tension buildup that created all of the pain I've had this past week. I will definitely be seeing her soon and bonus she's in Kailua! Thank you so much Franchesca! I recommend her to my friends! read more

I love going to Francesca! She is a very sensitive massage therapist! I like that she allows space for me to work with her with my breath as she holds the space with her silence. I feel very connected to her presence and focused attention to my body. She is a true healer! read more

Way too pricey for the skill level and ability of masseuse. At $75/hour. Half way through I was waiting for it to end. Either the place smelled of stale beer or she'd been having a few. Don't get me wrong she was very polite and professional. Just not worth the price. read more

Wonderful, relaxing, kind, AND willing to bill insurance! Francesca knows the body & helps it heal. Highlight of my day, EVERY TIME!!!

I just had the most wonderful 90 minute massage with Laura. It was therapeutic and relaxing. Mahalo Laura

I have learned to set the bar lower when I travel - I will admit that I have an amazing massage therapist at home (Portland, OR) and, after over ten years with her I have become something of a snob. I ESPECIALLY hate "spa" or "resort" massages because they are ALWAYS lame - light, non therapeutic, often with gross smelly oils, just soooooo not worth it. So vacationing in Hawaii, I thought there was no way I would get a real massage. I was wrong. Just trust me on this - the therapists at this place know what they are doing. Francesca and Corin were AMAZING. (I went with a friend.). Not only were they experienced massage therapists, but they were able to get us in for two at the same time for a next-day appointment on a Saturday! I got THE best massage I have ever gotten outside my own home base therapist. I would go back in a minute. Great space as well. Deeply grateful read more

The massage therapists at the Healing Source are hands down the best! They are highly experienced and you come out feeling like a million bucks! The atmosphere is very relaxing and you never feel rushed. They take the time to consult you on your ailments or any pain you are having, and they customize the massage according to what you need..They definitely know what there doing! I am very athletic (workout twice a day, paddle surf, etc) so I love deep tissue massage, I need someone to dig in there and work out all my knots, and my therapist Corin did that! She was nice and strong (but not to strong) and dug into my sore problem areas and stretched out my tight muscles! She was just the right pressure and had a seamless flow making me feel completely relaxed and jello like :) My fiancee goes to Francesca, and she absolutely loves her also! She is amazingly intuitive and technical! Her massage has a wonderful flow to it and leaves you feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated! Both Francesca and Corin are amazing! If you want to get a great massage at a reasonable price in a relaxing environment! Give them a call you won't regret it! read more

I always have such an amazing an tranquil experience during my visits here. I really enjoy my sessions with Francesca and would encourage anyone who needs a massage for pain, relaxation, and just to feel better to stop in and get their massage from great hands in an amazing atmosphere. read more

I am a believer in alternative health care rather than shots and prescriptions. I first met Francesca when I was injured in a car pile up. That was 16 years ago. I have gotten relief from lower back, neck , leg and ankle pain throughout those years. I chose to get massaged every two weeks when physical therapy did not provide long term relief and I noticed my body (and mind) was much healthier and pain free when I was consistent with Francesca. I go every other week for maintenance and don't need prescriptions or Dr to keep me generally pain free. I love the Healing Source and Francesca read more

The healing source is the best place to relax mentally and physically. No matter who you choose to relieve your stress or pain with, you will leave transformed and relieved. I have been going to this clinic for years and never leave unsatisfied. If you are looking for professional energy work and body work, this is the only place I would recommend. Call ahead they are busy. And busy means quality! best wishes to your experience. read more

I had an excellent 1 hour deep tissue massage. My therapist was very skilled, caring, and knowledgeable.

LAURA at the healing source is AMAZING!!!!! She always has worked on me extra because she knows I need it!!! She always worked out my troubled areas and communicated with me on which areas to focus on. She literally used all her energy and focus during the massage to make sure she hit all my hotspots; I have never been more comfortable during a massage or felt relief from back/neck pain like I have after a massage with Laura! I wish I could have brought her with me when I moved because I doubt I will ever find another massage therapist like her in this life!!!! :) She is the most focused/diligent/and meticulous masseuse I have ever met; she truly is a pro and honestly changed my life! When I got pregnant she even took time to show me stretches and massage techniques to assist with all the movement within my body as my baby grows...she is so dedicated to her clients; I am so sad I had to move! read more

The whole team is wonderful but Sara is my go to lady. I type a lot and have really bad neck and shoulder strain which gets worse as I ignore it. Sara is able to get the area to relax and put me on my path to healing. I had to move away and boy do I miss her. Next time you need a massage, check out the healing source. read more
