We always order two different types of martinis and they are always amazing. On our last two visits, the exemplary hostess, Alexa seated us and Linda, our server, took care of us like we were family. Both souls are exceptional ambassadors for Cooper's Hawk. After having worked in both the kitchen and as a server, I am truly astounded by the restaurant's consistency with everything. The establishment is always busy, but the entire staff is always on point. It's hard to recommend a dish when they're all excellent, but the Ahi tuna, drunken shrimp, and homemade meatballs are standouts. Every dish has one thing in common: excellent flavor. If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, we highly recommend doing so.

While the clubs used to be spacious with decent food and drink offerings and excellent service, the clubs have become much busier with fewer seats available and average food and drink options. It seems that everyone has access to an Admirals Club nowadays and brings their entire families. With that said, this particular lounge is one of the larger locations I have been in (at the DCA E-gates), and there are many places within the lounge to relax, do work, grab a snack, or anything else. In fact, for such a large lounge, there were surprisingly open seats here and there where I'm used to smaller lounges without any open seats. There is comfortable seating as well as bar seating and table seating. Also over the last year, I've begun to see the efforts made to improve the Admirals Club membership which includes complimentary hot food throughout the day from soups, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, meatballs, and breakfast items (not all at once though). There are charcuterie offerings, dessert trays, a salad bar, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and then house drinks. You can pay more for premium drinks and prepared meals. This particular lounge experienced quite a special refresh a few years back, and it looks and feels like no other Admirals Club I have been to. It has more of a premium look with wood accents and soft colors. There is a nice, large fireplace in the middle of one of the lounges, a mother's room for nursing, and an increased selection of hot foods. They had a waffle station sponsored by the AAdvantage Executive credit card where you could select your own toppings as it is prepared the way you want it. One of the two wings features a buffet, bar, and seating ideal for dining and being productive while the other wing features more of a relaxing atmosphere. Access to the lounge is easy to get whether through the Citi Executive World Mastercard with free access for you and up to two guests. You can also pay $175 for up to three authorized users each receiving their own lounge access (with up to two guests). Also, One World alliance flyers with a certain status can access Admirals Clubs. There are also Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining locations, which offer much more than just Admirals Clubs. I'm confident that making it easy to get Admirals Club memberships has led to lounges being overcrowded though now that you have to pay for authorized users instead of getting them for free in recent years, that may help. You can also redeem AAdvantage miles for membership or access to the Admirals Club. I look forward to checking this lounge out again and possibly the D gates lounge which is being renovated currently on a future layover at DCA.

Since we travel with our cats, the smaller side rooms away from the main seating area are a huge plus. They give us a quieter, semi-private space with less commotion, which helps keep the cats calm before a flight. The lounge has all the basics you'd want: coffee machines, drip coffee, a cereal station, continental breakfast options, and a hot food station. The food quality is decent for an airport lounge, and the staff does a good job keeping everything stocked and clean even during busy times. There are also plenty of outlets for charging devices, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and the bathrooms are consistently clean. The only downside is that this lounge feels a little dated compared to the newer Admirals Club at the E Gates. Still, the pet-friendly atmosphere and quieter layout keep us coming back.

But since there are no chase lounge in dca airport, delta would be my top recommendation in the airport. I've also tried the nearby Centurion and it was not it, compared to delta. I came to delta two times for separate flights and i lounge hopped to Centurion lounge on my second flight just for comparison.. From lounge perspective, this delta sky club was less crowded than Centurion. The staff at delta was also more attentive in removing finished plates and trash. From food perspective, I thought delta had better food compared to the nearby Centurion. I sampled all their offerings and i liked the braised pork over rice. They also have veggies, pasta, and mini slices of sandwich and wrap. They have the typical bar. On my prior flight where i first came here, they had a pineapple ginger drink that i liked and it ran out quickly. They also have dessert that I didn't try. I still think chase has the best food and beverages in general but delta is the next best thing. In this airport, especially if you use the nearby terminals, delta over Centurion any time.

This would've been a higher rating (and more pleasant visit) if bartender (Simone) was more accommodating with my drink request. I was asked by Simone to move from one designated line to another (which placed me behind more guests). Next, I was asked for my drink order (2 classic margaritas for myself and my guest), but for some odd reason she wouldn't make both. She first responded "for who?" then asked me to have my guest pick the second drink (which I have never experienced in all the lounges I've visited throughout the country). Her tone was not only rude but uncalled for. I simply responded by accepting the one drink and returned to my seat to give the news to my guest. We were disappointed in the customer service and unwelcomed attitude by the attending bartender.

My primary lounge is LaGuardia, which is a bright, shining, new multi-million dollar facility. We're talking about getting ready to open a rooftop deck, white marble everywhere, premium fixtures, and all the bells and whistles. But then I snapped myself out of it. This isn't a huge lounge, but it does have a lot of spaces by large windows, to sit and admire the views of the Capitol. There are various types of seating--individual seats, business spaces with tables, a small quiet space for people who have meetings or need to concentrate. It's not crowded, not loud. Very understated. The bartenders are nice. Basic drink service you can expect from the average club. The food offerings are a little more sparse than the newer or larger clubs. The cheese had dried out. I didn't feel confident enough to try the sandwiches, as they had mayo on them, and I didn't feel they were at the right temp for safe consumption. They had some soup, hummus, and a couple meat dishes. The staff were very nice and attentive, keeping tables cleared and making sure we were taken care of. So is it mind blowing? Nah. But it's a quiet spot to get away from the terminal, with nice folks and some cocktails. The food could use a little work, but it was later in the day, so maybe they were winding that service down.

The welcoming front desk advised us to find seating in the section behind the elevators, which featured a huge fireplace, a living room-like atmosphere, and huge floor to ceiling windows looking out over the airport. On this side, there was a fridge with some fruit and yogurts, plus a drink counter with sparkling water taps, teas, and coffees. On the other side is the bar, bathrooms, more seating areas but mostly tables and chairs, and the food. So we walked back and forth from each section, but preferred that to being in the busier part. We found 4 comfortable chairs facing each other and ended up at times sitting on the rug in between playing board games. The bathrooms were pristine, and my kids loved the cherry blossom display next to the door. The food was ample, with fixing to make sandwiches with, plus soups, and lots of other items to snack on, plus granola and nut mixes, brownies and cake bites, and a coke machine that had so many options! Plus, the handmade guacamole station- the guacamole was delicious and my kids loved it. I wish there was a takeout box or two so I could have brought my children's leftover sandwiches on the plane with us. Thanks to everyone who made our visit so pleasant!

I had to leave my first flight school because the college I was at was not affiliated with that flight school. Aviation Adventure is. First to start, I had at the time around 70 hours of steam gauges. Due to COVID I had not received flight instruction in almost a year. I brought up an issue I had with a CFI and after that it was down hill. My new CFI was horrible. I was his first student and he told me in the plane that he didn't want to be a CFI but was forced to because of a deal he made with Bob Hepp after buying a Cessna from the University of South Dakota. He said I needed to be there an hour early, but would show up sometimes 30 min late. When I asked for ground instruction on the G-1000 he said it was a waste of time, we would do it in the air. Going from steam to G-1000 was tough in the air. The CFI insulted me, cursed at me and told me I was acting like a sensitive millennial. He went on a rant while I was flying about people being too sensitive. I didn't feel comfortable asking questions because when I did the guy told me I was stupid. When getting ground instruction and my CFI wasn't on his phone he was chatting with other CFIs. At one point he made fun of me in front of other students and CFIs. It finally came down to one last flight and I had enough, after the guy yelling and cursing at me I just wanted out of the plane. I pretended to not understand trim so he would end the lesson early. I am sure there are good CFIs at Aviation Adventures, but I never encountered one. The CFIs I encountered were vindictive, Bob Hepp bashed me at my college, and my CFI wrote nasty notes in my online record. Why? I asked for help, I wanted a new CFI, I wanted instruction on the G-1000. Flight training is expensive, it takes a lot of time and study. Aviation Adventures treats student pilots horribly. We are paying customers, but are treated like dirt. I almost quit my dream of flying because of my experience with Aviation Adventures. I was excited to start there, there aircraft are nice, you get experience at a towered airport. That aside, you want tailored instruction, in a friendly learning conducive environment look elsewhere. I concur with the other reviews, it is not a place where student/customer concerns are valued, they are punished till you get frustrated and leave and Bob Hepp has your money.
