On St. Patrick's Day, we popped in for a drink at this bar! This bar is located right in the heart of Solvang in a cute little bungalow house! The bar features indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating consist of a small bar with stools and a couple of tables. The outside seating features several tables with umbrellas for warm sunny days. In front of the outdoor patio, there is a small space to stand and play games! The menu features beer, cider and wines! Something for everybody. The beers are very diverse. Unfortunately only one cider on tap but it met my needs! Great to go to a place where the cider is not sickening sweet! The cider is not a super dry cider like you will find in UK, but well balanced! Unfortunately the bar does not have a food menu so bring your own snacks! The bartender was super friendly and definitely was in the holiday spirit with his Kilt! I look forward to trying this establishment again or there location in Goleta! Cheers!

Great little spot with plenty of comfy seating once you get through the parking pain. I did love that Draughtsmen had beer and wine available which will make anyone happy to fill their cup. We found a comfy couch to sit at upstairs that even our pup enjoyed. A really good selection of beers on tap available and they are kind enough to also let you sample them prior committing which I would recommend you to do. The beers are a bit steep in price compared to other locations so we did end up just ordering one beer each and enjoying it to the fullest. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and even gave my puppy child a treat (asked prior giving it to him too, so thank you for doing that!) **** Dog Friendly **** #01/2024

This is a cute place - definitely. Parking is sort of annoying but once you get past that, it's a nice little place with decent beer. The area is industrial so you might miss it, but it's at the end of a street that makes it feel pretty cozy. We walked right in, they are dog friendly, and the bartender hopped up and served us immediately. We were able to sit out in the back, where there are tables with chairs. Their flight menu hadn't been updated so there were several beers on there that they no longer brew, which was a little disappointing, but everything we had was pretty good anyway. It was fairly empty mid-afternoon on a Friday, so no lack of attention or waiting. It's worth a stop and I'd love to try the other locations.

Really great beer selection and plenty of fun games and activities. I love going for Head Game Trivia night on Tuesdays and bingo on Thursdays. They have Goodland waffles in the kitchen every day but are really good about inviting other food trucks/vendors in too. The bartenders have always offered great service and suggestions. They make it super easy to find something you like if something new. Bundle up since you're in a working brewery, but be ready to have lots of fun in a very casual and chill spot.

What a fun spot! Tucked away at the end of a street but lots of room inside and outside to hang out. Fun seating arrangements and beautiful plants outside. It's got a little bit of something for everyone. Not only do they have beer, they also have wine. Their staff are really friendly and quick to serve people at the bar. They occasionally bring in food trucks and even offer trivia nights! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

Been here a few times and always enjoyed it. The brew is great, especially the Hook, Line, and Drinker - which is a lovely hazy. Draughstman is tucked away down a long cul de sac out by the Costco Center in Goleta because of its location, you'll likely find mostly locals enjoying the laid back vibe. The space is well designed and comfortable, the service is inevitably friendly - even when the lines get long, and they often have music and food on the back patio on the weekends. The upstairs is a particularly appealing place to sip a brew and connect with friends. Draughstman is just one of three excellent micro-breweries in Goleta, and all are excellent. I definitely suggest checking it out.

A lovely flight, with always allowed BYO snacks. Lower left red ale was the favorite.

A friend and I came here on a cold and rainy night over the recent holiday weekend. We were able to find parking on the cul-de-sac, and were greeted by a warm and welcoming taproom. The place was not busy, and the bartender gave us ample time as we debated our way through choosing eight beers for a flight. In the end we went with four IPAs (the persistence SIPA, Nimbus hazy, Severance IPA, and Awesome Possum IPA) and four others (Loral & Hearty oatmeal pale, Crimson & Clxver Irish red, Mesa black lager, and Meat & Potatoes porter). By far the standout winner was the Irish red. We both agreed we could have enjoyed whole pints to ourselves. But we were there to sample; it was a first visit for both of us. So instead, we cracked into the snacks we had brought (the place has a BYO any time snack policy, which is totally great. We savored our smoked almonds, dried apricots, and other beer pairings and recommend you try something similar!) Sitting upstairs in the lofted area, we had a couch to ourselves, and enjoyed a leisurely game of dice while working our way through the flight. Yes to a chill atmosphere, string lights, nice bartenders, easygoing crowd, non-binary restrooms (it's California law--AB1732, but you'd be surprised how many places haven't gotten the memo). After trying the other nearby brewery, I vote Draughtsmen all the way. I'll definitely be back.

A cool small to medium sized brewery, from the outside you'd expect this to be some kind of office building but on the inside it's pretty much like every other craft brewery. I came here for a Paint & Beer event they were hosting in the upstairs area of the brewery. From the flyers I saw around the brewery they seem to host a lot of events during the week, they don't serve food that they made but they have various food vendors here so depending on when you come there's a possibility you can get something to eat. Since I was hear for the painting event I didn't get to try a flight like I usually do when I first visit a brewery, but I did get to try a couple of pints & both beer were pretty solid. While talking to some of the staff at the bar I found out they recently opened a tap room over in Santa Barbara. The beer is still brewed in the Golita brewery, the Santa Barbara tap room is just another location where you can check out what they have on tap. The brewery has the usual board games, foosball, & I believe corn hole that you'd expect at most breweries. Next time I'm up in the area I'll be looking forward to check out the tap room in Santa Barbara and taste the other beers they have to offer.

Nice, fun, experience. Good sized brewery with a lot going on. Beer was great. I'm an IPA person and I tried everyone, all good but the Resilience IPA knocks it out of the park. Music here Tonight "The Joystixs". And they were a great 80's band. But be aware it can get a little loud and crazy with a lot going on. Kids, family, games, music, food trucks, fun. Follow their website for events. The young lady bartender did not disappoint. Very busy and she was right on, attentive and quick.

Yvonne is wonderful. She knows her wine and she explains everything so well. I'd say our wine knowledge is low to medium, and she is informative without being pretentious. You can tell she loves sharing her passion for wine. We ended up talking about all kinds of things, and she is just a very interesting person, period. We had a lovely time with Yvonne, and I felt like we took a fun wine class for 30+ minutes. We could've stayed a lot longer but we had to leave for our dinner reservation. We've done many wine tastings over the years, and this was one of our favorites, for sure. I think it is a great idea that Bacara has this on the resort premise, and so glad we went! It's easy to miss, but I think it will be worthwhile if you like/love wine, or even if you're just interested in finding out more about it. Next to the coffee shop in front of the hotel entrance. How often can you do wine tasting and have the option to walk back to your room and take a nap if you want? So convenient!

Nice seating areas. Yvonne was our sommelier and tasting guru. It was just the two of us and our dog. Oh, and and a very loud and demanding group of eight people off to the side. Yvonne did her best to keep them happy. She succeeded. We were happy too!!! Yvonne was very informative about the wines of Santa Ynez Valley Viticultural area, not to mention very friendly and accomodating. We are from the Sierra Foothills of Amador and El Dorado County areas which are known for their hearty Zins, Barbaras and other Rhone varietals. Yvonne took us on a tasting tour of the Santa Ynez Valley and the wide variety of beautiful wines. Impressive to say the least. The whites were great! Something that we don't have much of in the Sierra Foothills. Go if you have the time whilst at the Bacara.

When we got there they were playing music which was really fun and added to the overall vibe there but it stopped around 1:00 - not sure why or if they always only play music in the early part of the day. I wish they would've kept it on though I've seen other reviews say they will sometimes have food trucks but we didn't see any during our 2+ hours there. They have small snacks like charcuterie though but we didn't try it. Our main issue with the winery is the service. We ordered 2 flights and an additional glass of our favorite from the tasting at the end. It took an extremely long time to get the next tasting each time and almost seemed like our table was forgotten. Asked for the check and it never came either and eventually walked up to a counter to pay that way. Definitely saw other people trying to wave down the server for their checks / to order and having the same issues. The wines themselves were good and I think it's still a pretty winery to check out - just make sure you are not in a rush or on a schedule.

This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!

We haven't been able to make it up to the mountain yet but cannot wait. Also the empanadas you can order are delicious and the vinyl that's always spinning at the room sets such a lovely ambiance. Being in an industrial area you expect a low level ambiance but it is incredible. The wine bar in the front vs the room in the back offer something for everyone.

I know Napa Valley is like THE Mecca of Wineries, at least in California, & going there once before, I kinda understand, kinda. But is it really that much better? In my humble opinion.. Ehh. It was whatever Sure, I'm down dropping a nice crispy Benjamin to get that aged, vintage 2013 Cab.. But will I really care, or even notice once that bottle is depleted & I'm now ordering the 2nd least expensive Chenin Blanc on the menu just to wash away all my worries. I truly understand that not all wine is created equally, but also that not all of us have the BIG BUCKS to continuously drop $100 big ones on that prized Napa Cab. Hey, call me crazy, but to me, it's not just ALL about the wine that is produced, but more about the overall experience. It's the vibe. It's the way you are treated. & it's definitely about how they made you feel. Anyone else getting Maya Angelou vibes?? IYKYK ;) **All Wine Snobs have left the Chat** *Vega Vineyard and Farm has entered the chat* Alright team Vega, sit back, kick your feet up, & just listen while I brag a little about you. It was a BEAUTIFUL November afternoon just 4 days prior to Thanksgiving. We were heading back south from Paso Robles & decided to make a little pit stop before getting all the way back home. So my wife looked up wineries in the area that were kid friendly & Vega was at the top of the list. Walking in, we noticed that they had a little restaurant right at the entrance, so we went to put our name down for a table. Unfortunately, the wait time was a little longer than we wanted to wait, only because we had the kids with us, but the hostess suggested if we didn't want to wait, that they had more food on the other end of the farm in "Pops Place". Other than the wine itself, eating the food in "Pops Place" was probably the best move we could have unintentionally made that day. (I'll explain in a bit) So we slowly made our way towards the other side of the farm/vineyard & all I can say is, what a gorgeous property it was. The farm life, the outdoors, the weather, & I was with my Fam. It couldn't have been a better day! Once we got to Pops Place, it was like we entered into a whole new world. A huge area for kids with a jungle gym, stations for outdoor games & activities, benches to sit, even private cabanas you can reserve (not sure if there is a cost) & of course a little shack to order food and wine! So remember earlier when I said eating in Pops Place was probably the best move we could have made that day, Well here are 3 reasons why! 1) We ordered the George's Greek Gyro Pita w/fries (a beef gyro with lettuce, tomato, onions & tzatziki wrapped in a pita) and.. OH. MY. GAWDDD It was so flippin' GOOD! It was so good, that I didn't even have time to snap a pic, let alone set it down after taking that 1st bite. It was complete perfection! 2) Chicken Strips & Fries from the kids menu w/a side of ranch.. Let's just say, The kids loved 'em. 3) We washed it all down w/a beautiful, crisp, perfect for a fall day, 2024 bottle of their finest ALBARIÑO. & it was, EXCELLENT!! After we sat & ate, let the kids get out all of their energy, the fun at Vega continued. From there, we headed to feed the livestock on the property (lettuce sold onsite for a few bucks). There were Chickens, Goats, Pigs, Emu's & Sheep, and the kids and myself had a blast feeding 'em. After that, we stopped off at one of their gift shops to browse all of the fun stuff. Of course, we got the kids their requested candy! The staff we interacted with while at Vega were all so kind, welcoming & made us feel apart of the extended Vega family. Because of this, we will definitely be coming back next time we pass through. So, & this is where YOU come in! The next time you are passing through Buellton, do yourself, your spouse and your kids, if you've got them, a HUGE favor: Come check out Vega Vineyard & Farm and tell me that I was right!
